I see why La Chata was a highly recommended breakfast place by the locals. Delicious, home-like and traditional dishes, good size portioning, variety food menu at inexpensive prices. My traveling group and I took a 5-mile drive into local town (9/17/24). A little further out from where we stayed in the malecon area.La Chata may not have had an ocean view, but its eye-catching, open setting corner location made this undersized restaurant a uniquely charming breakfast place. Ordered : red and green chilaquiles(one chicken; lthe other beef), menudo, flautas, empenadas. Would have liked to try their dessert, but had no room left for consumption Liked: chilaquiles, especially for its tasteand crisp fresh tortilla and freshly squeezed flavorful orange juice drink. Did not have to wait long for food to arrive Our waitress may not have been a superstar server but she was efficient and available considering that the restaurant was at full capacity. The owner was also present, serving other tables, in a bib apron. My friend could not keep her eyes off him (eye candy 😍 ☺️) No pictures to provide, the place speaks for itself, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend. ADDITIONAL INFO: Made another trip to La Paz and of course, my traveling group did not want to leave without having to visit La Chata (10/30/24). Although food was on the slow side compared to September’s visit, our dining experience was still a good one. Greeted, seated, servers checked in, and bill was paid. No issues. I did take pictures this time. I also still recommend this place.

Food was excellent, had chillaquiles verdes, torta de asada & bean burrito. The outside eating area was so nice breezy, perfect people watching spot. So happy to have made it here, will definitely come again! 💙💚💙

Excellent food here. Very authentic. Very flavorful reminds me of my grandmothers cooking. The chilaquiles are phenomenal, fresh, crispy and made from scratch. Excellent enchiladas. The menudo was clean, savory and full of flavor. Very hard to find good menudo and this place executed. You would not be disappointed here. Grab a seat on the patio and enjoy! 5 stars!!
