Visiting Sal’s was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. I had the Remi G and the Big Benny and both were DELICIOUS. The staff are incredibly friendly as well. 10/10, look forward to coming back soon! P.s. you have to try the cookies lol

Absolutely wonderful! The panini were incredibly tasty – we tried the “Ciao Boss” and the “Ligurian Caprese,” and both were excellent. Our personal favorite was the second one. Beside the delicious food, the two women working at the shop made the experience even more special. They were warm, welcoming, and always had a smile on their faces – it felt like they were best friends. Truly our best food experience in Italy so far.

The best sandwich and the best service we enjoyed in Italy. Sal’s elevates the sandwiches you get at other places. The confit tomatoes were otherworldly. The bread was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. And Sal’s doesn’t skimp on meat. The owner and her team were warm and welcoming and we are so glad we stopped in. If you are anywhere near the La Spezia train station, this is your must stop meal.

This is the place! You want a delicious sandwich and some sweet treats it’s a must stop on the way to the train station or down to the water. I got the Tony Soprano and my wife got a Ligurian Caprese (they can do this one vegetarian or you can add prosciutto). Both were amazing and we finished off our meal with a delicious Chocolate Chip cookie!

If you’re staying in La Spezia, please add Sal’s to your list of places to try! Both the owner and the lady taking our order were so lovely and welcoming. They were very accommodating when I asked to not have meat in my sandwich, and even offered to replace the meat with mozzarella instead. Food was so tasty (we got The Hammer and Tony Soprano), portions are very generous and service was second to none!

I HAD THE BEST SANDWICH IN THE ITALY HERE (and quite possibly the world). I highly recommend the Ligurian Caprese sandwiches with prosciutto added. The flavours were amazing - soft burrata cheese, fresh tomatoes, pesto, salty prosciutto, balsamic sauce, and delicious greens. It was so good we came back the next day to order more! The main host was so friendly and warm - she even gave us muffins to try! If you're in the La Spezia/Cinque Terres area, do not sleep on Sal's!

Such a lovely spot! The service is warm, friendly, and truly delightful. They serve excellent panini — my only mistake was thinking a whole one would be too much, so I ordered a half… and ended up asking for the second half anyway! I had the Ligurian Caprese in its vegetarian version and declared it the best panini I’ve ever had. Super fresh ingredients, plenty of vegetables, and perfectly balanced seasoning. It’s our second time here, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in La Spezia!

After spending 3 days in Cinque Terre, where focaccerias draw lines out the door, I’m glad I found this peaceful, modern and infinitely more delicious place for focaccia sandwiches. I’m literally writing this review on the train immediately after finishing half of the Ligurian (caprese with prosciutto on focaccia). Not only was the sandwich generously portioned and possibly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had (and I’m not even big on sandwiches), the menu was thoughtfully and whimsically curated, the decor and branding were on point, and the service was thoughtful and kind. Did I also mention that the owners are both female, with one being Italian and the other Filipina? So if you’re in La Spezia and need to pick up some food near the train station, do yourself a favor: skip the gross train station food and come to sals instead

I went there yesterday with my family on our way to Cinque Terre. My family loved the food-best food from Italy so far. Service was very fast and the people there were super nice. Atmosphere was great and welcoming. (Definitely not there fault but the construction outside was a bit smelly-so hoping the construction people get done so others can enjoy this place) Wishing y’all the best!

Heard about this place on TikTok and was meaning to try it out and when I got off the train it was right there so I was like why not. The food so good for the price, homemade lemonade so good and the best thing of all was the service to be honest. The two ladies who served me were super nice and lovely

Sal's is a solid option if you need to grab a sandwich before hopping on a train to cinque terre! There is plenty of choice, although they're not the best sandwiches you can have here in Italy. We had a very crusty ciabatta which undermined a bit the experience. Still good compositions and ingredients though. Their cookies are the 8th wonder of the world. Do try them out! The staff is adorable and the food was ready in under 5 minutes, so all in all I'd recommend!

Very pleasant Great veggie options Feels like a holiday in itself We enjoyed it end recommend it totally (However on the bread you use you could improve, oiiiil it or toast it, make it: less hard, more fresh, and crunchy is good)
