Super friendly staff, located next to Target at the spectrum. Self check out doesn't work but the line moves quickly. Not that many bread selections to choose from, but their drinks are delicious and fairly priced.

I live in Ohio and wanted to send my daughter, who lives in Irvine, a birthday cake. The online ordering didn’t seem to be working, but I called and they were very helpful. Cake was ready on time and was beautiful and I think very reasonably priced. They said it was delicious. Thank you!

This is a great 85C Bakery Cafe to go to. I always try to make my way here from time to time because its close to my work. The parking here though can be a real pain. Everyone in this area knows to avoid this place during peak hours, but how can we avoid it if it has everything you need from a plaza in Irvine. There a handful of restaurants that dominate this plaza as well as H-Mart around the corner. However, coming here after lunch or before dinner, can easily make your trip a lot easier. This particular 85C, I like more than others just because the bread here is always restocked. The one closer to my house is a lot bigger in size, but the bread takes time to restock. Here, it is never a problem. The drinks here are great, like any other 85C I have been too. However, I did have a few bad experiences here of them getting my order wrong. I do understand that it gets really busy here so I can why I always have the problem here. Overall, if you come here during the right times, than your experience here will not be tainted with trying to find parking.

One of the top places I have tried. Bakery products are fresh and excellent. The boba tea is also a treat. I loaded up on a variety of breakfast, snacks and desserts. They tasted just as delicious even after a day old. Presentation is nice, with a combo of Asian European flare. Most importantly, it must taste as good as it looks. It does.

This is a busy location! The line moved quickly and I was able to get in, get what I wanted & back out in under 10 minutes. The staff was constantly restocking and I was happy to learn that are now offering a few sandwiches!

I absolutely love this shop! They were fully stock and so much delicious baked goods to choose from. So, easy to get lost and experience euphoria. I could easily spend upwards of $50 but I forgot my card so I had to trim my choices down. My children devoured them and were gone in no time. I recently visited a 85 degrees Bakery near our hotel on Huntington Beach, and I was greatly disappointed. All the desirable baked goods were sold out or not re-stocked. The trip to the store was a complete letdown! I have so much appreciation for this bakery now, realizing that not all 85 degrees bakery are the same. Highly recommended!

I had the most amazing experience thanks to a wonderful employee named Zahra, the girl with the black scarf. She noticed that I have a disability and couldn’t wait in line for long. Instead of ignoring it, she went above and beyond by kindly asking all the customers for their permission to let me go first. Her kindness, patience, and professionalism truly touched my heart. It’s rare to find someone so compassionate and considerate. Zahra turned what could have been a stressful situation into a moment of pure kindness. I will always remember this experience, and I truly appreciate her help!

When I come to Irvine Spectrum, 85 Degrees is usually a place I'd visit for their refreshing drinks & yummy pastries. What I got ~ Peach Green Tea is really refreshing, definitely recommend and not overly sweeten. The green tea isn't too caffeinated. ~ Taro Lavender Latte drink is on the really sweeter side. Hardly taste lavender flavor. I would suggest getting it 75% or even 50% sweeten. unless you like your drink really sweet.

They have very delicious cake and it's never seems to disappoint. Most of my family that tried this place swear that it's the best they had and I think it's very good. The location is very convenient if you park the correct way because you can park right outside of it without having to walk all the way through the mall. The prices are reasonable but not insanely high, I purchased the whole you're planning to eat your cake outside.

This bakery was busy and amazing. At least one hundred different fresh pastries and baked goods. Great coffee and staff was polite and service was solid We took a few boxes of pastries home for the kids. The store is well organized and clean. You can order at a kiosk or the counter. Coffee was served hot and delicious. Everything was ADA compliant.

Items are individually wrapped and easily accessible. It’s also located close to parking if you use the target parking garage. Stopped in real quick before a road trip and it was perfect.

85 degree bakery cafe has all the tasty baked goods and drinks. Their hot dog in sweet bun is delicious. Their Vietnamese coffee is also one of the best. Their peach tea was also great. We enjoyed their items as a group. The line to order something is long given that they are located at a mall, but it is worth the wait. Give them a shot!

My wife loves the sea salt Jasmine green tea from here so I'm here pretty frequently 😆 the bakery is what gets me excited though. So many delicious baked goods to choose from! Best of all, the options change on a pretty frequently basis depending on when I stop by and everything is always so fresh!

It is better than most, but can be better as I wouldn't rate it awesome. In the evening you may have to wait a long time. Their best vegetarian was potato pastry but nowadays they don't make it anymore 😭

We’ve been to an excellent 85'C Bakery in Salt Lake City so I was a little disappointed in the Irvine location. Small and cramped although the selection was good for bakery items. Staff was very helpful in reporting to us that certain foods contained gelatin and we should avoid those (cakes, glazed items). The boba was disappointing, soft but not sweet at all. Very different than what we expected from other 85'C Bakery’s.

Always jam-packed. It's not as good as Paris Baguette or Tour Les Jour but a great entry point to Asian fusion bakery with a friendlier price tag. The other 2 price points do not make any sense, especially after Covid..

Pretty good drinks here, but rating a 4 only because they're sometimes inconsistent with the sweetness and strength of the drinks. I've had some just okay drinks--and also some REALLY good drinks here. I always get an 85° coffee so I have a good basis for comparison.

It's nice to have another 85C nearby to pick up snacks at, but this one doesn't seem to stock as much as the other locations. There's a smaller selection and the store is smaller. The service is still good, the cashiers are friendly and I've never had a problem. I think I'll still go to the one at Diamond Jamboree when given the chance.

I have some really great baked goods, not too sweet. I saw the Hokkaido cheese tart, and it was tasty. Their boba is not very good but the tea is fine. Very crowded very busy all the time.

Very busy place on a Saturday afternoon! Wait is normally 5-10 minutes for getting your drinks. Suggest to use the drink express order on the machine without too much in line. My go to is always the coffee bun and coconut twist, and boba milk teas. Also tried the sea salt caramel coffee and 85 degree iced coffee, but ended up with too much sugar and cream.

I didn't realize how small these things are until I got them home. They are about 1 x 3 inches. Little dim sum for your sweet tooth.

The store interior was clean. Too many people in the line to place order but only one register opened. It’s really not efficient.

If you are a fan of baked goods and pastries this is definately a place to try. I remember some years ago when 85degree first came into the market the long lines seemed endless and I never had the patience to wait in line. Boy was that a stupid decision. Tried it today and I will be back. The pastries are out for display and pick up all in bags and all look incredible. I have to admit I did not know what everything was but it all looked magnificent! I understand that everything is fresh and restocked through out the day. I did not seem to be outragously priced, although not cheap by any means. It is pick up what you want go to the counter and pay and pick up a beverage if you like. Frankly it was all a little confusing as the coffee offerings are not all that obvious. They do have a wide variety of beverages, including Boba. There is no or very little inside seating. The only utensiles are plastic forks. There are seats outside. I enjoyed the treat I got, look forward to the next visit, probably not at the Spectrum.

The cake was really good, nowhere near the best I’ve had, but definitely good. We tried the deluxe strawberry cream cake and the macchiato cream cake. I felt the actual cake for both was a bit dry. I preferred the strawberry and vanilla cream fillings over the macchiato filling, but the filling for both cakes were terrific. They had a very smooth and creamy texture with just the right amount of sweetness. My daughter had a tea drink and thought it was very good. The employees made us feel a bit rushed, but they weren’t rude or anything. Overall, it’s a nice place to stop if you’ve got a sweet tooth. The Irvine Spectrum is clean mall with lots of nice shops.

I initially avoided trying out this bakery because it always looked crowded from the outside and the idea of being squished into a small space did not seem appealing. But I decided to be brave and sacrifice my personal space because I really wanted to try the Strawberry De Leche drink which turned out delicious and worth it. This location can seem crowded but the line goes relatively fast. Decent selection of drinks and pastries and good prices.

Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and flavorful, and their Coffee is a stand The location is super convenient, right near the Apple Store, with plenty of parking available at the mall. They also have a lovely seating area with chairs, tables outside, where you can relax and enjoy the weather while savoring your coffee and pastry. It’s a casual spot perfect for dining in, taking a break from shopping, or grabbing a quick takeout. If you’re looking for a birthday cake, this is a great place—they’re fresh, and we’ve ordered a few for special occasions, all of which turned out amazing. The only downside is the customer service. The staff seemed a little unprepared and nervous, and I feel they could be more welcoming and friendly. Some additional training would help elevate the overall experience. In general, the quality of the food and the convenience of the location make this a great spot for casual dining or takeout. I’ll definitely be back!

It’s a good little bakery place! Lots of variety, logos of sweets. We just went for coffee. No complaints there. The coffee was good. We liked the convenience of the ordering machine in case you don’t want to go through the line. It’s a good option, really self-explained, not complicated at all. Customer service was also good, I asked a few questions, and even though they were a bit busy, he still answered my questions kindly and quickly. It a good place to get some sweets and coffee, then enjoy a good walk through the Irvine Spectrum.

This chain is popular and always busy. It is hard to browse options because the line weaves through the shelves. You are forced to get in line to enter and since the locations are small you stand in line while it weaves through the shelves leading to the register. If the line moves at a faster pace it doesn't give you enough time to look at all the available options. My daughter had an anxiety attack trying to make a selection in time without holding up the line. The bakery items themselves are delicious. My rating has to do with the set up of the store.

I've had a variety of cakes from here, each of which have had the potential to be good but often spoiled by just too much cream... to the point where a bite or two is ok but then you scrape the rest off your slice.

Great bakery, great food, usually delightful service. My only gripe is the excessive waste of plastic bags. Does each individual item need it's own plastic bag? How about offering recyclable boxes or one big paper bag? I was behind 2 people this morning, each buying a dozen or more items, and the cashier used a single-use plastic bag for EACH and EVERY pastry. I cringe every time I see this. It's so wasteful and horrible for the environment. C'mon 85C, you can do better!

If you, like me, order a hot chocolate for your child with a little bit of sugar, I recommend checking it immediately. In my case, there was a lot of sugar added; it seems they missed that request, even though the receipt indicates the order was taken correctly.

Mediocre and expensive with a big line up Didn't understand the whole hype. I threw out the Coconut Mango smoothie after a couple of sips, too sweet! The Macha Strawberry tea with boba was also very sweet and bland. The other things we ordered were a slice of cake, Mango slushy were not special.

I love 85’s pastries and milk tea and have given them a ton of business, but the service is poor, the store isn’t clean enough, and there’s normally a huge line. Their drink order kiosks never work, so if you just want a quick drink, you have to wait behind everyone buying boxes of pastries or getting a cake. If they could fix their operations a bit, I’d be there a lot more often and would increase my rating!

Instead I carried my pastries and then bought the ones that fell on the floor (packaged) which was probably gross too. The service was nice but she told me I could add points later. The receipt was all faded and impossible to read so of course I can't add points. Customer service doesn't accept emails (they say it's full) and the number is out of service. The place was packed given the location but it's sad that the family restroom behind it is cleaner than a restaurant that serves food. The pastries were ok but at this rate I would probably just pay extra for authentic French pastries. The blueberry muffin was delicious but all butter and a list of ingredients I couldn't pronounce. I wonder if I would have found the same thing at 7-11. There is a reason everyone is getting fatter or some type of disease in the US; even when attempting to eat fresh food from a bakery in a family friendly environment, what you are really buying is food no better than McDonald's. This place is no exception. Sad but true.

Normally I enjoy this bakery at other locations but this one has a slightly confusing layout since you have to go the other direction from the pastries to get your tray and tongs but there's constantly people in the way waiting for their drinks. No mircowaves to warm the food up so any of the breakfast food with meat in it is normally very cold. To make the experience here just even more inconvenient the restroom is visible to the public but only available to employees

Love coming here for the choco buns and chocolate chip bread! But every time I come here on a Saturday evening the shelves are barren and they are out of almost everything, which defeats the purpose of ever coming here.... UPDATE: once again, came in here on a Sunday afternoon and the shelves were practically empty. Officially done going to this location - not worth 20 minutes finding parking just to be majorly disappointed by the lack of options (especially out of choco buns)

The good thing first, the food is actually pretty decent, but that’s the only good thing about this place. Terrible service. I ordered. waited 40 minutes. right next to the counter. No drink. now sometimes you can cut some slack because it’s busy, but not when they don’t do anything about it. since i stood next to the counter just waiting for my drink. so when they claim they called out my drink but someone took it, it’s total bs. Baristas are lazy and incompetent, terrible customer service. Look on yelp, you’ll find hundreds of others saying the same thing as me. This business should consider replacing their current employees.

I was really disappointed with the atmosphere and service. When I asked Breana (a blonde girl wearing a black hat) how long my drink would take, she responded dismissively, saying, "It’s going to take a while." So I decided to order some food while keeping an eye out for my order. Eventually, I noticed my drink sitting on the counter for sometime but instead of letting me know, she said nothing and tried avoiding me for some reason so I decided to ask her why she didn’t inform me, she rudely replied, “I called you, but you didn’t hear me.” This lack of communication and dismissive attitude made the experience frustrating. It would help to have a better system, like a screen for tracking orders, and staff who are more attentive and professional keeping their problems at home before coming work. A word of advice: consider hiring staff who truly understand the importance of customer service And Kelly, telling you about this issue face to face was useless.

Not sure which 3 girls were working there this morning at 9:30am on 9/6/2024, but they all really need to fix their faces and their attitudes. Not only was my mobile order not made by the time I was there, everyone else’s order was being made and mine was sitting on top of the coffee machine. When asking about my order the girl rolled her eyes and said she’d make it now, the other two girls doing nothing in the corner but talking. Brings my drink which was made incorrectly but decided not to say anything and when asking about my bread in the order, decided she wanted to be smart and correct me when she was the one who heard me wrong, walks over to the other two girls who muttered something and all 3 stare at me while she walks back to throw the bread on the counter. Honestly, if you hate your job quit. Just because management might not treat you well or you don’t want to be there, doesn’t mean you act that way. I almost turned the car around to say something but as my mobile order wasn’t even ready past the pick-up time, I was already late for work.

I went there last weekend with my friend and ordered some bakery and 2 lattes. The baked goods were amazing as usual from 85 Degrees, but the customer service was horrible. We ordered 2 hot cafe lattes , and we got them extra hot to the ooint that they didn't cool down even after more than 15 minutes. We couldn't even take a sip. We returned them to the barista who was very rude and sais even if I redid the orders they will be extra hot as mentioned in the receipts. We said that the receipts were wrong and we only asked for hot lattes. She was agressive and snatched the drinks and went to the back to remake them, banging everything in from of her on the counter where she was working. We stood at the pick up counter waiting until she came back , and with no words or eye contact, slammed the drinks on the counter and went to the back . Her attitude was horrible, although I know that it was a busy weekend, but I was a service worker once and this was not acceptable. Anyway, the drinks didn't taste good either, they tasted like hot water with no coffee in it.

Don’t go to this place, the manager Regina yelled at and insulted a one year old baby just because he dropped one of the price tags on the floor. I wasn’t giving this place any expectation but it’s worse in person. My friend has already contacted lawyers and will press charges to take further action to ensure the baby’s safety.

My wife take my son there to buy some bread, my son picked up a Price sticker from the floor, and then she asked the employee that where the price sticker belongs to. Regina is a bad employee there.(You can check the camera on 8/24/2024) My son grab a bread we’re going to buy. One 85 worker [Martha] yelled to my son: Are you gonna buy it? ?You have to buy it!! Regina( the manager of 85) said: your son made a mess, she worker doesn’t need to apologize. Next time you be careful! Get out of here! Stop crying!” My one and half year old son grabbed one bread, 85 manager called this is a mess. And rejected to let her worker apologize to us. Ordered a cake a week before I needed it. Was guaranteed they would have it ready when they opened at 9am when I called and confirmed the day before. Got there and the cashier Leila had no idea what she was doing. She said I didn’t have an order and they didn’t have a cake ready. Then after running back and forth to the kitchen she finally came out and said they had a cake they could use but the baker had to decorate it still. Waited until 10:40 to get it done. Don’t bother with this place. Terrible service!

I ordered a bakery product and an ice water. I waited more than 5 minutes for my ice water when it was not busy. I then saw people start coming in and ordering, and people were getting their ice water. I then walked up to counter to ask for my ice water. The girl pulled a cup of water from TWO HOURS ago, with no ice, then walked away from the counter. Her body language made me feel like she didn’t have time for my request. This was horrible service. I feel discriminated against.

This is the worst 85 I've ever been to. If you're at the Spectrum, don't come here for coffee. I do not recommend it. It's small and crowded, and they are always out of everything.

I visited this location today at around 11:12am. There was a younger kid showing 3-4 employees a small kitten. This was a distraction with the employees leaving only one person running the register with many in line waiting. The concerning part of this situation was not only the poor customer service or perception of bad service, is the child with the cat made its way into the back kitchen area. Employees had been petting the cat with no sign of hand washing. Other customers were also talking about this in line, concerned if there food was going to be edible and safe to eat. The CA health department should be contacted, however I’m not likely to do this.

I called a dozen times and no one ever answered. It would be nice if someone answered before I drive there only to find out they dont have the cake I want

Compared to other locations, this one doesn’t seem to match up to the standard. After a few trips, I don’t seem to find what I want and the setup is poorly designed. In order to get anything from the bakery, you have to stand in line and wait to get anything from the shelves while waiting to get checked out. Inconvenient if you only wanted one thing or something from the cooler. If you order drinks, there is a small waiting area that fills up quickly when they have more than 5 drink orders to fulfill. Takes a while too. I prefer going to their original location since it’s bigger, more selections, and easier to get in and out.

I don’t know what to say about the service and that’s the worst experience I ever have shift leader Regina was pushing a young age kid that’s insane, don’t know what to say about that, check the camera about that pls and this people should be fire for sure

On 03/06/25 my daughter and I went to 85 degrees in Irvine Spectrum and We were treated really bad by this young Asian racist girl. She was very rude, unfriendly and inpatient with us. I felt she is treating me and my daughter nasty because we are not Asian neither blonde. Overall, I am very disappointed. I used to go to this coffee shop every week and spend $40 or more. I’m not going to this place ever again. They lost business with us.

5 star treats but please add another cashier or self checkout option for non-special orders. I come to the Spectrum once a month, get in line here, wait 10 minutes then leave having moved like 2 feet in line. I just want a couple red bean and choco buns but don’t want to wait half an hour. There are usually 2-4 staff making drinks and 1-2 checking people out. Checking out is a major bottleneck and they lose ~$15/mo from me because of this. It’s always busy, so they probably don’t care, but today I’ve seen at least 3 others leave the line so owners are leaving money on the table.

Honestly, this was one of the worst teas I’ve ever had — and it was $5.40! I got the passion fruit green tea, half sugar, less ice, with lychee jelly. About two-thirds of the cup was just ice, and the tea tasted bitter and super watered down. I could barely taste any passion fruit. Totally not worth the price.

Have nothing other than a small hot coffee but will sell me a large iced coffee. Full of ice! Got a ham and cheese sandwich and refuse to warm it up! But have no problem warming up other sandwiches! Horrible experience! Don’t buy into the hype! Terrible

Avoid this place at all costs. The manager, Regina, shouted at and insulted a one-year-old child simply for dropping a price tag on the floor. I didn't have high expectations going in, but the experience was even worse in person. My friend has already reached out to legal counsel and plans to take further action to ensure the child’s safety.

im a regular customer who came in today and the ladies were rude, didn’t ask if we needed help and just chatting. i asked for something to be warmed but they said they charge $5 to warm something up. This is why paris baguette will always be better. the food is good but the customer service is TERRIBLE

I used to be your regular customer, but today I had a disappointing experience. I ordered a strawberry matcha, but it was only available iced. I don’t like ice, so I asked if it could be made hot. I was told that it’s not possible unless I pay extra — even though there is a salted caramel matcha on the menu, which I didn’t want. I just wanted a regular hot matcha. The manager refused to make it for me, so I had to go to another café to get one. It’s really unfortunate that your team couldn’t offer a simple solution for a loyal customer.
