Avis sur Pho Benny Lafayette
Yes! Yes! Finally a sandwich that I actually like WITH fresh bread in the East Bay Area! The pho was also well done. This place does it right! We will be back to try other things if we’re revisiting this area again.
I'm visiting from Oregon and was looking for any Vietnamese food near Lafayette when I stumbled upon this amazing spot last night after a long drive. The pho broth is rich and the service was superb. I ended up coming back today for seconds and am writing this review with crumbs of the excellent chicken Bahn mi all over myself. I'll probably go again tomorrow. Would highly recommend their sandwiches and well done brisket pho -- if you're getting it to go like I did make sure you heat it in a pot at home to get the most out of this great food.
For years, I wished for a pho place to open up in Lafayette. Pho Benny right opened up right before Covid opposite Trader Joe’s. Wide selection of delicious food, beautiful spacious spotlessly clean interior. Haven’t had a dish we didn’t like. Partner/owner, Long, is always there greeting you with a warm welcome and great service.
The special pho was excellent, and the fries and chicken wings were very good as well. The spicy noodle was good, but I liked the special pho much better. The food came out super fast, like 5 minutes after we ordered fast. Bathrooms were very clean. Great place, check it out!
Very kid friendly, excellent spicy soup. Quality ingredients. Very friendly and organized staff. A must to try if you have not. This is the best pho i have EVER HAD.
Rare Steak Soup, Crispy Egg Rolls & IPA on tap 10/10 highly recommended!
Amazing small restaurant hidden in Lafayette. Must visit and try their amazing Vietnamese food. Loved Vietnamese sandwich and noodles. Visit with family and friends, you wont be dissapointed.
A group of new friends in Lafayette met at Pho Benny and enjoyed an exceptional meal together! We shared many different appetizers and entrees and everything was exceptional. The service was warm and gracious. We are definitely going back sometime soon. I highly recommend Pho Benny!
The pho is my go to for comfort food and this place didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is quiet and quaint. I have no objections to coming again.

Went tonight for the first time with my family after the tree lighting and it was a great experience. Music was soft, place was busy but not overcrowded, all the people were nice patrons and staff, and the food was good. I personally enjoyed the beef stew noodle soup dish and will definitely be back for more of that for sure.
so good!!! our first time coming since we’re in the city visiting but it definitely left us wanting more. will definitely return before we leave the city, friendly staff and the atmosphere was very nice and quiet. 10/10 recommend.

On a hot day I enjoy the Vermicelli Noodle Bowls like the #51! The Beef Stew with noodles and veggies really hit the spot on a cold, wet Winter Evening! I like the variety of foods on the menu.

Staff was friendly. Got the pho dish. Alot of noodles. My husband got the dry noodle dish with shrimp and imperial rolls which was so good. We also got the tofu spring roll which I think we'll skip next time. Would definitely go back. Not a bad option for the area. Paid parking in the back.

I feel like this place has gone downhill. The meat tastes cheap, as does the broth - like factory farmed meat. And the prices are too steep for the service and quality.

The quality of food in this Vietnamese restaurant is lower than others in the East Bay. I did not see any tripes in #1 pho combo. There was little meat. The pork vermicelli was not grilled and was not fresh. I would not come back.
I have been here two times and neither time has the food been flavorful or the staff been particularly attentive.

I do not understand the high ratings. The food is sub-par even for the limited East Bay Pho options. The noddles were compacted and took a while to separate and the flavor was non-existent. The spring roll peanut dipping sauce was unpleasant at best. The service wasn't good as they kept forgetting things so we had to go up and ask multiple times to ask.
I waited 50 min for a chicken noodle soup to go. I’m pretty patient type of client so didn’t complain at first but when I asked them what happened with my order just ignored me until I kept asking and asking. So disappointed!
I phoned in a Togo order for fried shrimp, chicken chow mein, shrimp fried rice and garlic noodles. I was asked (twice) if I needed silverware, I said yes. The fried shrimp was ok, not great (over-cooked)*4/10 The chow mein and garlic noodles were not cooked at all, very dry, no flavor or seasoning.*2/10-tasted like cup of noodles almost raw. The shrimp fried rice had no flavor and only 4shrimp in it.”, no seasoning or flavor.*2/10 We also did not receive even a fortune cookie, for the over-priced small fortune we paid for this meal. 70$ Will NEVER Return.
