Really good and really cheap authentic Mexican foos. And they have awesome unique live music Tuesday Thursday Sundays with Precious Jade and sometimes The One Man Bandit too!! Crazy good
Was seriously craving a breakfast burrito, so I stopped by this new place on a whim, and took one to-go. I'm vegetarian (and the menu is quite meat heavy) but I got the Monster Papas burrito (vegetarian-friendly refried beans, scrambled eggs, potatoes and cheese) and it was GOOD. Huuuuuuge, but I actually ate the whole thing, and don't regret it! Ha! There's a salsa bar, and I tried the red and orange ones - both really tasty with a good amount of spice! I also went back to try the vegetarian burrito (not on the menu) which was fine but not great, so I think they need to work on their meat-free options. But the staff is very nice, and I'll come back for breakfast!
I love primos is close to my Jobs, I eat here for Lunch, taco tuesdays, and good food.

I read online reviews before visiting Primos Mexican Food & Cantina, and I must admit that my experience was completely different from those of others. I've been going there for the last two Wednesdays for their taco special, which is four carnitas for $7. The food and service are excellent, and I especially enjoy the salsa bar.
Delicious! Primos is great if you have a big appetite or if you wanna share a burrito with someone! Highly recommended if you’re in the area. And the service is excellent! They brought us some street corn samples today that were deluxe!!
Got the mexi-cali generally the best burrito ever add some jack chesse and sour cream even better generally recommend service is amazing seemed like a new hire but did an amazing job little bit of a wait don’t mind!
If I could live here I would!!!! Haha! Their food and drink are amazing!!!!! There’s no words to describe how delicious it is! My bf loves the fish tacos with chipotle sauce / drinks. We always go atleast once a week for their yummy happy hour! Also the complimentary chips and salsa! Definitely check them out!!!!!
I have been coming here for about a year now and I have to say that Primos has the best hard shell tacos that I have had in South Orange County. The service is awesome. Anyone who is looking for an authentic hard shell beef taco should definitely come here and give it a try.
Food was delicious, the green sauce for chile verde was spot-on! Tangy and apicy. The salsa for the chips was perfectly delicious. My husband had the breakfast burrito and tsaid it was the best breakfast burrito he's ever had in his life!
Wish I hadn't waited so long to try this place, been missing out. Great local gem hiding between CVS and Albertsons. Everything is made to order. While the prices are comparable to something like Lupe's, for my money Primo's is a clear level above in terms of flavor and quality of ingredients. Staff is always friendly, including the owner, really good guy. Good Taco Tuesday deals and other weekly specials. My favorite right now is the Classic Bowl because there's enough packed in there that I can get 2 meals out of it, and I'm not a light eater.

This was my second time trying Primos. The first time I went there for breakfast, and ordered a chorizo burrito. It was awful- hardly any egg or chorizo…just a giant spoonful of refried beans. I ate just enough to stop my hunger, and threw the rest away. Today I thought I’d give them a second chance, and ordered two crispy tacos, one chicken one beef. They were very greasy, and the chicken looked like it was from the worst cuts of chicken. I now have digestive issues from my lunch earlier today. The service and atmosphere are fine, but the food is subpar, and I will not return. Too bad, as I live very close to them.
Love the atmosphere and salsa bar. Ordered a Steak and egg breakfast burrito. Had barely any steak or egg. They are skimping on portions which is unfortunate for the price you are paying
Wandered into this "strip mall" location just because I was hungry! It was taco Tuesday and happy hour, so why not take a chance; well the woman at the counter, Emma, was so patient with me while I tried to decide what to get for a quick bite. Decided to try the $4 shredded beef, crispy taco and a cold bud light. Each item @ $4. So, then Emma went and made the taco for me, served it and that was that! Pleasant surprise that single taco was quite good and the beer was ice cold. Granted I had to add quite a bit of salsa to flavor up the meat. Don't be afraid to season your meats guys. Chips and salsa included. Before I finished eating another employee had come in and a few customers came and went with togo orders, Try it, if you are in the area.

Well my husband ordered tacos from here and he got carne asada and carnitas. The carne asada was fine but the carnitas tasted soooo burnt it was actually ridiculous. The food was inedible. I am absolutely shocked that they would offer burnt carnitas to a customer. I don’t know if I will be returning but if I do I won’t be getting carnitas.
They are in violation of the Health code for allowing dogs in the dining area! This couple came in with 1 large dog and 1 medium size dogs and said the owner allows them to bring their dogs in. That's a California health code violation... But ofcourse the Mexican staff allowed them to dine next to my table and the dogs peed on the floor. Never eating here again. Also, they were not service animals as I checked.
Aside from having to wait more than 20 minutes for an order of red chilaquiles when the place was empty, they gave me something that looks green and called it red mole sauce. They also gave me a red salsa on the side to put on top. I’m not sure how they make chilaquiles here but this looks like just chips with meat and cheese thrown on top! Not happy at all.
Online hours say it opens at 9, posted hours on storefront say it opens at 9. I’m here at 9:15 and the person inside is saying it won’t open for another 30 minutes because there’s no cashier.

First and last time here and we’re locals! It already had bad reviews but figured give it a chance but yah never again! Monster burrito filled with nasty rice and costco canned beans with little meat and zero flavor and nothing else! Monster Nachos with literally no cheese filled with rice and beans with little meat. It’s bad like really bad! I hate to write negative reviews but this was awful and will never come back again. Basically bad chipotle minus flavor!
Tried Primos for the first and last time. The food took a really long time to be prepared. There were just a few customers in the restaurant. The food we hoped would justify the extraordinary wait. Unfortunately not. The food was completely tasteless and poorly presented. We ate at the restaurant but still the food was supplied in oversized plastic to go containers with no ability to recycle available. With so many Mexican eateries to choose from, primos will not be one we will revisit.
I ordered 2 fish tacos because they’re usually delicious. But today, I had a tiny strip of very overcooked fish in both tacos AND I think I might be getting an upset stomach. I’m going to take some Alka Seltzer because my stomach is getting worse. ,Not eating here anymore.
