Laguna Cafe is a great, comfortable place to meet friends for breakfast or just a morning coffee. The food is always delicious.

Hidden in an unremarkable mall, Laguna Cafe makes the most of it. With good, hearty cafe sandwiches, salads and the daily special quiche that I had, they add a great breakfast menu, very friendly welcome and cozy outdoor tables. Open for breakfast and lunch, they are a nice neighborhood hangout.

Everything is terrific at laguna cafe, best hamburgers in the county. The service and the people who work there are fantastic and the customer base is friendly and fun. It's just one big happy family with great food .This is a friendly spotservice and happy people. This is the place where everybody knows your name. Don't miss it.

Wow! Our morning dining experience at Laguna Cafe was so amazing. From the moment we walked into this quaint diner, we were warmly greeted by the most friendly and lively staff member. We ate their delicious breakfast of home-style and portions plenty. The atmosphere is heavily “plastered” with interesting military nostalgia and history, among a variety of other memorabilia. There were many “regular” diners at the time we went there who were spoken to by name by the staff. This tells you there’s apparent repeat diners, so this pretty much tells ya there’s good reason why they're eating here. I'm gonna say it's the delicious food, friendly staff, and the welcoming atmosphere. This place is highly, highly recommended. Experience it for yourself. Yep, this cafe is definitely a gem, and it’s a diamond! Thank you Laguna Cafe staff and God bless you all.

me and my wife came in to get a quick lunch before she had a doctors appointment and it was refreshing to talk to a server that genuinely was nice and interested in how our day was going and I got the feeling that this is a nice family café. I got lasagna she got chili and then we got a slice of really good Keylime pie afterwards. Our food was good. Service was awesome anytime we’re in the area. I’ll be back.

One of my favorite spots though I don't dine here as much as I want. The atmosphere, food and service are outstanding. Staff is interactive and friendly. Basically treating you like a friend even if it's your first time dining here. That kind of service you just don't find everyday, unless you dine here! Nice to have a enjoyable homemade meal either alone or with friends, family.

Absolutely perfect. Delicious food!! Especially loved the HOMEMADE English muffin, thick and doughy. Foodies will love this place, I know I do! The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly with hundreds of photos on the walls -- customers making memories and military veterans. The friendly and welcoming vibe really sets this place apart. Tammy and Monica (owners) create an amazing experience. You feel very much at home; on the very first visit, we knew each other by name and they invited us back soon -- again by name. How often do you think about a restaurant experience and it brings a smile to your heart? Can't wait to return!!

What a total gem! I have a group of friends that meet as often as we can every Weds for brunch. Our trip here last week was so delightful! The service is A+ as is the food. We're coming back this week and for the Sunday live music in a couple weeks, too! I can't wait to try more menu items- I did a simple scrambled egg with the homemade turkey sausage and LOVED it! Looking forward to the other items on future visits 😁

I brought my mother to this little cafe for breakfast to spend time with her before taking her to her salon appointment next door. We were blown away by the amazing friendly service. The owner Tammy and her friend Cathy greeted us like we're long lost family. They went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. From the warm greetings to helpful recommendations, every moment was delightful. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the genuine smiles from them. Our server Linda was also super helpful and sweet added to the overall. To top it off one of their regulars picked up our tab without us knowing. They left before we knew so we didn't get to thank them but apparently this kind of things happens here a lot. It's a part of the positive vibe they got going here and it starts with the ownership of Ouse. Belly up to the table and become one of the family members! That is the feel of this quaint adorable cafe. Lived in the area for years and so happy to have discovered this unexpected Jewel. We were immediately greeted by the kind owner who makes you feel so welcome. Service was quick, the food was great. Such a great Sunday brunch, unexpectedly the best cap to a long week. The joy, light and laughter of diners around you will be infectious. No joke. Definitely coming back!

I had the Denver omelet with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes with avocado 🥑. The coffee is good as well. Nice breakfast and highly recommended. Previous visit Stopped in for breakfast on Wednesday and it was wonderful. Cynthia was my bright and cheerful server. I ordered an OJ, coffee and the Denver omelet with avocado and sourdough toast. It was delicious. Leslie was very nice and welcoming as well. The ambiance and charm is special in a way that you must experience. Service, staff and food were all wonderful and I will be back. Highly recommended

Very nice experience here at Laguna Cafe & Grill. Inside and outside seating available. Plenty of parking. Very patriotic, military oriented atmosphere, decoration, and vibe. Staff is very welcoming, high energy, friendly, and kind. The food was great. I had the omelette with bacon, my wife had the Burrito verde, and our daughter had the chili and cheese omelette. Very tasteful, fresh ingredients, good texture, and well seasoned. A little out of our way, but it was definitely worth it.

I had the pulled pork sandwich with home potato chips. I really enjoyed this amazing lavender lemonade. It wasn’t too tart or too sweet with a hint of lavender for my taste buds. Someone ordered a Greek omelette animal Mosa and another person loved drinking her bloody Mary with a piece of bacon and celery in it. There’s inside and outdoor seating and the food is always tasty. I’ve recommended this place to friends who have also enjoy this restaurant.

A vibrant gorgeous blonde staff member greeted us with such great joy and wished my husband and Happy Father’s Day immediately! They kept refilling our sodas and waters …. And the food came out hot! Seriously it was like it just came off the pan and immediately served! Soooo good!!! I had the veggie omelet and the BLT was perfect too. I’d definitely go back!

We’d passed this small little restaurant multiple times while driving to the ALDI that’s here in this plaza. It’s a quaint quintessential mom and pop shop that is definitively a pillar of the community. The wonderful waiting ladies give it their all and it shows in their care and attentiveness. I had the pin up burger while the wife had had the bacon gorgonzola. Both were medium rare, and they both were ‘well done’ and we devoured the burgers and the homemade chips that evaporated off our plates in minutes. This is going into the rotation of foods down here! Let’s go!!

I had the huevos rancheros for breakfast and some grapefruit juice. Both were very good and reasonably priced ($17 for both). The tortilla under the beans and eggs was nicely fried (a little crunchy), just how I like it. 👍🏼 The atmosphere in this place is country kitchen and the seating is family style. Everyone was very friendly. 😊

Amazing customer service and the food was great as well. The entire staff here is friendly and funny. If I lived in this area I would come here at least once a week. I love the decor of the restaurant a lot as well. I would recommend coming to Laguna Cafe. Everything here seems great. The staff is super friendly and funny. The food was good too.

Laguna Cafe is a small little diamond tucked in an unassuming strip mall in Laguna Woods. It is always full of locals and the food is delicious. I've never had anything I didn't like. Meatloaf Wed is great too for those who like meatloaf with real mashed potatoes. The small staff is amazing! They are always very friendly and lovingly welcome everyone when entering. It has a small dining room that can be a bit crowded and loud, at times but still enjoyable. Their are single tables as well as a large, shared, family style dining table. It always feels a little like home when you go to Laguna Cafe. They also honor past military members with walls full of photos and vintage airplanes hanging from the ceiling. If you like key lime pie get it here. It's avaliable in their small bakery stand and it is to die for!

Decent chili, much different than a Texas or a Cincinnati chili but pretty tasty and a nice bit of spice.

A local diner for local people. People scrambling for their temporary square foot of sand at Laguna Beach may never come here. However they would miss the most gregarious and personable service for miles around.

Ordered take out (salad) and waited for quite awhile at the cashier to pay once I got there. Brought my salad back to the office and noticed that the dressing was already on it. Most restaurants, put the dressing on the side when someone orders take out so it doesn't get all soupy. The salad is good but by the time I got to eat it...it was soggy (note the pool of dressing in the container). Spend the extra few cents and put a dressing container in the box with the dressing on the side next time someone orders take out salad. For $16...I would expect I shouldn't have to ask for it.

Stopped in for coffee and a muffin. Muffin was bone dry. Coffee was good. Atmosphere is WWll model planes hanging from the ceiling and military photos on the walls and it's basically a senior citizen cafe. The co-owner is a fundamentalist pushing her beliefs on me which made me uncomfortable.

I am shocked about the good reviews for this cafe. On our arrival we didn’t receive any menus and were rushed to order. We had three different waiters and they had no idea what the other one was doing. When we ordered they skipped one person in our party. The menu, cutlery and seat pillows were dirty and torn. Both pies we ordered were not available and the tea was cold. We had to wait and ask for the bill. Definitely won’t be coming back. It was a comedy of errors.

I hate to leave this review but I just it was such a bad taste on my mouth and we went there today around 1 o’clock in the afternoon. Our bill ended up being $55 with tip. My fiancé got an omelette and I got a couple of eggs, a sausage patty, two piece of bacon with some potatoes and inside of biscuit and gravy, but we got a ticket we can begin to look at nothing was broken down. so the menu said that we got our meal came with some toast, wheat or white and it was an upgrade for muffin which we didn’t so anyways it was a bunch of writing on the thing 15 something for the omelette 389 five dollars nothing was broken down we shouldn’t have gotten charged for the wheat toast because it came with the meal and if they’re charging five dollars for literally a small cup of orange juice about God‘s truth, 2 inches thick in a small cup with a gold ring around it. We really felt like we were taking advantage of by the waitress. She just wrote down whatever she wanted and didn’t write down what it was for not the receipt was not broken down and we spent $55 for two little meals. I couldn’t recommend this place at all. The food wasn’t any good the one thing that I did enjoy on there was the fried potatoes that was it everything else we toasted I got was not hot. It was cold. The eggs were cold. The bacon was thin as paper and flimsy and I paid a fortune for it Just a horrible experience we really felt like we got nothing for a lot of money. I could not recommend this place to anybody and I hate to say that, but it’s just the truth and I gotta tell like it is before somebody else gets taken advantage of what would be proper for this is like a refund or something I think. I’ve never seen a Business just write down whatever they wanted on a bill and didn’t put what it was for next to it very unprofessional
