Ce que disent les clients de Gurgling Suitcase
The Gurgling Suitcase is a small, cozy bar at Disney's Old Key West Resort known for its friendly bartenders, especially Lorna and Jeff, and good drinks like the Blue Hawaii. It can get busy, and some find the drinks overpriced with light pours, but overall it's a popular spot for a nightcap.

Avis sur Gurgling Suitcase Lake Buena Vista
My wife and I just arrived at OKW and needed some food - nothing super heavy, yet something fulfilling. The Gurgling Suitcase was the answer! We sat down at the bar and were greeted right away. The bartender gave us the food menu and we ordered the Conch Fritters and the Pulled Pork Nachos. She also got a Pina Colava as an extra vacation treat. The food came out in a short time and they were exactly what we needed. The fritters were slightly too bready, but the conch was the star, as it should be. The nachos were a hit as well, as the topping to chip ratio was perfect! My wife's drink was plenty boozy as well! Overall, if we were to stay at OKW again, this bar would definitely be a stop!
4-3-23 Food from Olivia's "Goods Foods To Go" is delicious 😋 Pairs well with libations from The Gurgling Suitcase. Bartender Jeff continues to deliver great drinks. Jeff is an excellent bartender. He is also quite versed in WDW Disney knowledge. The poolside bar has indoor seating at the bar and outside. The decor is uniquely framed collections of donated first responder's patches and DVC members expired license plates. Stop by, you will not be disappointed.
I stay at this resort often, but even when I'm staying elsewhere, I make it a point to head over to the Gurgling Suitcase to have a few cocktails. My favorite is definitely the Turtle Krawl and Sultry Seahorse. The loaded Bloody Mary was also amazing. Honestly, I've never had a bad cocktail here, and the bartenders are always epic.
Great little bar area. Definitely small with very limited seating, but well worth the wait for the service and drinks. Located near the pool in the middle of of the main area.
This is a great place to escape the heat and have some fun conversations with some resort patrons, and guests. You can also order food next door and have in here while you have some amazing drinks. I ended up having a Sultry Seahorse and a Conch Republic Key Lime Wheat Ale. The Sultry Seahorse was a great blend of tropical flavors and is a very smooth drink ("where'd it go? Oh yeah, I drank it."). The draft is pretty light, but the bottle selection is larger. But, come on - you're here for the mixed drink - and you're gonna have a fun time with anything you order here (Thanks Julie!)
❣️🍹 #ScarlettSuggests ... grab a drink at Gurgling Suitcase while you visit Disney’s Old Key West Resort. Lots of nice relaxing places to enjoy your cocktail outside. Get a drink for two & get a souvenir cup!
Small, but amazing little bar. We really enjoy the drinks and atmosphere here.
Nice little bar on old key west property friendly cast members that make good drinks I recommend the blue Hawaii it's very smooth and fruity, also they make a killer vodka Collins so try ordering either you wont regret it!!!!
This is a cozy place to grab a quick drink or to sit and shoot the breeze.

This bar is great. Lorna, the Scottish barmaid is amazing. Shes personable, friendly, and gave us some great park planning tips. I've gone to her bar 2 nights in a row and probably a few more while I here. Highly recommended will go again.
Everytime I stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort I always make time to make it in to the Gurgling Suitcase to catch a nightcap! The bartenders are friendly and attentive. Conversations are a plenty! This place does get busy and sometimes has quite the wait - so be aware. The bartenders here service not only those inside the bar, but those who are dining in Olivia's Cafe and walk-ups from the Resort. There are not many times where the bar tender is not crafting/pouring the beverages ordered. I find it relaxing to end my day here and walk back to my villa! A home away frome home. Highly recommended!
Great wee place to go for a wee dram and drinkie after the parks or a splash in the pool. Look out for Lorna, she is awesome and really a joy to have there. All the staff are great, nice cosy atmosphere, not much indoor seating, but there are benches and seats outside which allows for people watching. Plus you can use your tables in Wonderland card here too folks.

The shrimp appetizer is really good. The slaw is tasty. Healthy dish and a nice quantity.

Drinks are good but typical Disney price gouging. The only issue I have is the service is incredibly slow. They bartenders are very nice and the atmosphere is fun but don't expect to get your drinks in a reasonable amount of time.

If you are after a very overpriced special drink, you will love it. Small. You are far better off making your own drinks in your room.

Drinks were good (very light pours), but man I cannot get over how terrible the bartender is. Very rude and dismissive. Every other aspect of this resort is perfect except the bartender. Think his name was Bryan? The one with an exceptionality.

Would not recommend. For how expensive the drinks are the pours are VERY light. Tried to order a drink after leaving the pool at night, but the bartender and his assistant were too occupied making other drinks to take my order. By the time they finished making the drinks, and even handed off an extra free drink to the group in front of me, they told me they were now closed and couldn’t take my order. I had been standing there for about 10-15 minutes. If you’re gonna hand off free, pricier drinks in front of customers, I think you should be willing to hand off a free beer or something if you’re saying the computer really won’t let you put in an order, especially since you were ignoring a customer. I think it’s just because the girls in that group in front of me were blond and skinny. Also, I don’t know what the point of a bar back is if she’s just gonna stand there, she didn’t really do anything besides make eye contact with me a few times then look away and pretend like she didn’t see me. If you want good drinks I would recommend going to Port Orleans. The drinks and service there are amazing, the bartenders at Scat Cats club are always incredible and so friendly. The food there is better too. MUCH better places at Disney resorts to spend your money on drinks and service. I understand those last minute orders can be annoying sometimes, as I’ve worked plenty of food service jobs in my life, but I’ve never just ignored someone until closing so I technically wouldn’t have to take their order.
The establishment is located near the family pool and clubhouse, where excessive drinking can sometimes create an uncomfortable atmosphere. When I attempted to purchase a drink, the mixologist, Lorna, refused service, citing a policy that restricts alcohol sales to guests under a certain age—either 25 or 28— I can’t remember exactly, without an ID. I explained that I had left my wallet in my room, as I hadn’t planned to drink, but given that I am in my mid-30s, I didn’t expect an issue. However, I was still denied service. As a suggestion if such a policy exists, it should be clearly communicated to guests since our rooms can be far away from the family pool/bar area. Lorna stated they cannot sell alcohol to those who are under the stated age, not just those who appear to be, meaning I should not have been refused. While this was a minor inconvenience, it left me feeling unfairly treated. Overall, our stay was pleasant, though the food and drinks are Disney-priced and somewhat overhyped.
Avoid this bar at all costs. It's the only bar on property where I've witnessed parents visibly uncomfortable having their children with them...and this is essentially a pool bar feet away from the pool and community room! Between the two drunks sitting at the bar, who the bartender indulged in additional alcohol and non-stop chatter, and the inefficient service, you can go anywhere else on property for a better experience. When this bar originally opened, it was larger (open air under a roof) with a lot more seating. It had a fabulous Key West vibe, with several tropical drink selections (that came with glass stirrers...and odd choice, in retrospect, but lots of bars did this back then). I'd finish many nights at this bar and always enjoyed it. Unfortunately, it's turned into a bar that has no identity or appeal. It does serve food now, which is a great change, but the food selection is sparse. We ordered a burger and southern fried chicken. The burger was average (the fast food burger next door is a better option) and the chicken was dry and bland, but these are Olivia's issues. The fries were yummy, though! Top shelf liquor is available at this bar, you just won't want to drink it here. Overall, it's a waste of money to patronize this place and you can do better in so many other places nearby. The highlight of this experience was when the drunk patrons sent our food order outside, which we then had to track down. Moments later one of those same patrons turned bar furniture upside down, and not one cast member asked him to stop. This bar was out of control and guests (other than the 2 inebriated patrons) were leaving because of it.
If you are looking for syrupy sweet drinks this place is probably the place to go. If you are looking for a cocktail or decent nite cap, forget this place. There are much better bar/lounges on property that know how to mix a drink. It's an odd tiny little place. TV on wall blaring sports is almost as big as room. I'm a huge fan of OKW. The gurgling suitcase is the weakest link at Old Key West Resort.
