Such a fun place to hang out in the heart of Lake George! The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. We enjoyed some of our favorite pub food and drink and were entertained by our friend Neil Mchugh on guitar. All in all, a wonderful afternoon!

Great place to eat. We were seated right next to the live music so that was not ideal if you plan to have conversation! Lots of food options.

Good live music. It was a fun place I would definitely recommend! The only thing was when you got a drink it varied from bartender to bartender. The same drink from different bartenders ranged from week to potent there was no consistency and drinks, but it was a cool place to see some music and hang a little bit.

Today we spent out our evening listening to live music and songs of brilliant musician John Eisenhart at Duffy's Tavern, Lake George Village. We had amazing time! John made everyone at the place connected by wonderful music, jokes and little talk to audiences. It was also, surprising what he is a big fan of Ukrainian 🇺🇦 culture and history. Thank you John for the evening

Service was impeccable, our server was Emilia. Slower based night due to winter downtime. The atmosphere was very inviting and down to earth. It’s a bar type environment that doesn’t require you to dress up. If you’re looking for casual dinner with amazing friends and good food this is the place.

Had a fun lunch here as part of a girls’ weekend trip. We sat at the bar to have a beautiful view of the lake; the bartender was super nice and made us feel at home. We loaded up on food, all of which was tasty and filling (and what you’d expect from bar food). Would definitely stop back in here if I was in the area!

Very worthy of a return. We only had a sandwich and a bowl of soup and a few beers. Excellent location. We were there when the lake was frozen. It was an impressive sight. Service and food and atmosphere really makes Duffy’s stand out. They have it all! Looking forward on a return visit!

We loved the ambiance, quick friendly service and great food. We took a booth on the first floor and were also amazed as our young waitress handled all the tables flawlessly by herself! And despite it clearly being a busy dinner evening, we weren't rushed. We noted many people coming in to pickup food orders too. We shared and really enjoyed our Turkey Pesto Wrap and Adirondack Burger. We'll definitely be going back on our next trip to Lake George area.

When I’m in Lake George every other month or so, I frenetically come here and #1 pizza. I cannot tell you how great the food and service always is. Jasmine and Joe thanks for the great conversation and turning on the Syracuse B ball game. Never a bad experience. Love this place.

If you like a dive bar, here you go. Great service and staff. We had fries, not curly, fried pickles and sandwich. Fries, definitely from frozen from Cisco etc. Not homemade. Pickles were tasty, but again frozen food from a distributor, doubt they were made in house. Fiddlehead IPA and a Stella for beer hit the spot. Raining, roof leaked on our seats, but had a nice view of the lake.

We went to Duffy's while on vacation. We stopped first to have a little lunch. We had Chili cheese fries, just an appetizer with a drink or two. Amazing! The waitress was very attentive and friendly. We went back the next night for more drinks and music after dinner. This time we had boneless wings and chicken tenders.... Amazing food. The Frozen Mudslides were delicious. Again the waitresses up on the deck were very attentive and friendly. We had a good time. Definitely recommend Duffy's. Will definitely go back next time in Lake George.

We make sure we visit here everytime we visit lake george, great local bar with great prices for a tourist area. Staff is super friendly and the the bartender Mary remembered us from 2 years ago. They have entertainment upstairs but happy hour from 4 to 7 is only downstairs. Love it!

Went with my beautiful girlfriend for the first time on St. Patty's Day 💚 and had the most wonderful time. I had the traditional corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and a big piece of irsh soda bread which was very good and she had the fish and chips. Stopped in for a quick bite on our trip from Vermont to North Carolina. Had no clue about any of the restaurants available in this town and quickly picked this one and was very pleased with the pleasant and quick service from Patricia. We were able to get in & out in under 30 min. My bf had the Bacon Cheeseburger and enjoyed it. I had the Turkey Melt and absolutely loved it! It had hand carved turkey and which made a difference and the fries were out of this world! If you are passing by definitely make a stop in.

While the food is your average bar fare, the joint was jumping and somebody better give Kelly the waitress a raise! Serving the whole place by herself and quickly to boot! Keep on dancing Kelly. You made our day!

Nice spot. We sat up on the deck. There wasn’t a hostess to tell us where to sit so that was strange at first, wandering around until we found someone to ask. Drinks and food came slow because they were already busy early with 2 waitresses working. Completely understandable. The food itself was good, the portions were a bit small But nothing terrible. We were ready to order more drinks and the waitress just kept walking by, she was super friendly just understaffed. We got our check then had to ask for more drinks from the bar. It just seemed like it was a hectic day for them and they were trying to make it through.

The music was great and nice to have 2 options. Bar service was really slow and frustrating at times. Still a fun spot to visit!

Went here to get some lunch. They have a really nice outside area on the second floor that lets you oversee the lake. They had some love music as well which was really entertaining. The food was good for what it was, although I find the prices a tad bit high for what I got but I guess that is because of the tourist area. They do allow dogs in their outside area. Pretty good Reuben I had. My boyfriend enjoyed nachos. My Uncle seemed to like his burger & fries. Our waitress was really nice. Only complaint, we were done eating a while and she didn't come by or bring the check. We had to ask for it & even then we waited kind of a while to get it. This is a good place to grab a bite on the way to Lake George. We didn't order any main courses, but the food was decent. Beer is served in plastic cups, but there's live music and interesting characters, like biker gang members. The tavern has plenty of seating both inside and on the patio, but it gets pretty crowded. It seemed understaffed, as service was slow. Overall, it’s not bad.

Went here for a quick bite and drinks. Place was fairly busy and had only 1 waitress on. It took over 48 mins to get our appetizers after waiting to order them. Drinks were good and appetizers were OK. Not on the lake, but you can see the it from inside.

There were four of us and there was something missing from all of our orders. Had to beg for silverware condiments and to order drinks. Went to Duffy's during Americade and it was packed with bikers. That's not a bad thing but thought the place could use a lot of fixing up. We ordered drinks and a few appetizers that were pretty good. Not bad for a quick stop.

Just another bar with bad service… our “waitress” didn’t seem to know what she was doing… we asked her if the corned beef on the Rueben was deli sliced and she didn’t seem to understand what we were asking and had to go run off to find the answer. We ordered nachos for an appetizer and she brought it out with all of our food… we were disappointed because it was so much food all at once. We had asked for some more plates to distribute the food we all were sharing and she brought out some tiny paper plates. We had to ask multiple times for the condiments, like for instance, she forgot my brothers dipping sauce that he requested, took awhile for her to come back around to check on us. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place & would not come again. It’s just another meh bar with bad service and average food.

Food was mid at best and the prices were obscene. My sons burger said it was $14.99 but rang up at $19.99. We didn't realize in time to dispute it, so double check your receipts. A very light lunch with waters cost us $70 for 4 people and the only thing that was good was the fries.

Honestly the food was a bit on the meh side. We ordered fried pickles and poutine. The cheese curse were just cubed cheddar, they were still cold in the middle. When you picked one chip up you ended up with a clump of most of the top layer. And underneath the first layer of chips, all the chips were smashed into small bits. We only went in for a drink since we were there on our honeymoon and we wanted to visit a few places our first night there. We were staying close to the area so we decided to bar hop. I was lured into Duffy’s by the sounds of live music, I was ready to have a good time. I asked the bartender for one beer and a cranberry juice cocktail for my wife. We, Sat drank and listened to some music, we were done with our drinks so I asked for the check. The bartender gave me the bill, it was $8. I pulled a $20 and a $5 dollar bill out of my wallet, I gave her the $20, she (the bartender) gives me back $7, one $5 and two singles. I had my $5 bill in my hand. I gave her a $2 tip. So I looked at her and I asked her for the rest of my change as she owed me $12 change. To which she replied I gave you your $12 back, I said no, I gave you a $20. To which she replied again and I gave you $12 back, you have two $5 in you hand. I said yes one was already in my hand so you owe me another $5. She looks at me with an attitude, goes to the register, then changes her mind and walks to her tip bucket, pulls out a $5 and throws it at me. I shook my head, I looked her in her eye, with my hand on the two singles I left, I pushed those two singles toward her and said thank you. Needless to say she was giving me the dirtiest look and through her gums she uttered “you’re welcome” If at any point during this exchange she thought she was in the right, it wouldn’t have been so easy for her to give me that $5 she stole from me. Lake George NY is a beautiful place, full of natural splendor. The people not so much. This was the second incident I had in all three of the places we visited. We will be returning to Lake George NY once more because we want to see more of its beauty. But we will not be returning to Duffy’s thanks to that thieving bartender.

Very rude and poor service. Bartender lady was beyond belittling and rude. I would never go here again. Advertised as family friendly but if you are single, couple, or a family please avoid this place at all costs. Bad service and overall atmosphere. Not the place you want to be at while staying in lake george. Visit any other bar or restaurant and you will be much more satisfied. Again avoid at all costs very bad spot. Can’t imagine this place staying in business much longer or employing the bartender on duty.

First visit. Was excited to have dinner there, til we went in. All tables taken but one which had 1 empty glass, nobody sitting there. Asked if we could sit there, we would have been happy to wait. No, we were basically given a "don't want to clean it" look from the waitress and told we could dine upstairs. Not welcoming at all. We did check upstairs, but it's out in the open, no AC. Are we going to sit in 90s temp with humidity when we could have sat downstairs with AC on? We took our business elsewhere. Sorry two thumbs down.

Do not go here. Drinks are obscenely overpriced. Terrible customer service. They have a jukebox that will literally take your money and not play the songs that were purchased. When approached about it, the bartender said, "Sorry, not my problem. If you want the jukebox to play you gotta tell us first." What??? AVOID this dump.

Go here to drink, DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT eat the food. The nachos were an abomination and they should be ashamed for calling them such. They consisted of wet chili dumped on stale chips piled with some canned tomatoes, lettuce and an inordinate amount of olives and peppers. The Cesar salad had about 3 cups of crappy dressing piled on and the driest chicken I have ever seen. But hey, there was a TON of Jameson in my J&G so it helped drown out the horrible food. I was really hoping for some good Irish pub food and there was none in sight. Our server was nice though.

We were having drinks when the shift changed on Saturday night. We had a nice brunette bartender that served us and then it changed to a larger blonde woman. We asked to cash out and she responded “I have to count the drawer you’re not going anywhere are you?” We were patient and waited. Then cashing out she swiped our cash and didn’t tell us the total. When we asked she got snippy with us. We were simply asking the total so we knew what to tip her but she got nasty with us so we decided not to tip her. She acted like we were coming at her when we asked the price saying “I don’t make the prices.” All in all that interaction made our experience an unenjoyable one. We’re from out of town so obviously won’t be back but we recommend other bars and restaurants that we went to on the strip more than this one as it ruined our time here.

Don't be fooled by the rating of over 4 stars on here. Other websites will tell you the truth, this place is terrible. The food is so overpriced for what you get. Chicken tenders were beyond bland. Didn't have too high of hopes for the poutine and I was still disappointed. Just a glob of fries with overly salty gravy and melted cheese rather than the cubes that should be in the dish. Service was okay but not really remarkable. Terrible acoustics and rowdy patrons. A lot of reviews talk about the beer and the view but I can't imagine there isn't a laundry list of better places to see the lake and have a beer without price gouging you like a knife to the chest.

This was a horrible place. They could not accommodate a large party so we sat at tables of 4 people. They would not do a bill for each table they said they had to do the 4 individual tables together. They charged the tip like we were all sitting at one table. It was absolutely horrible. The waitress didn’t know what food belonged to whom. It was a total mess. I will never go back there and neither will the 14 people with me. Worse place ever.

Just finished eating at Duffys Tavern, spent a good amount of money. Waitress was great. Went to our car outside grabbed my chair my sister in law grabbed her blanket and we were trying to figure out where the husbands were going to park the car because we were going to the park and listen to music. When the rudest woman came yelling from her car asking if we were eating at Duffys and we said we just ate there. She told us we couldn’t park there we said we knew and she made a comment of my chair being on my arm, and then decided she should scream out to other workers that she told us off. I get that they need their parking for their customers. Not five minutes before we were those customers. There was no need to yell at us and be rude. Not professional. Our family came to Duffys, used to be one of our favorite places. Not anymore. There was no need for her nasty attitude.

This is the worse run bar restaurant I have ever been too. The customer service is 100% awful. Every person you run into that’s staff is rude and looks at you like you’re putting them out. One day waited an hour and half for food and no one ever came out and gave a reason. I walked in on a different day to place an order of Nachos to go and was told they were too busy to do to go orders yet I saw about 6 open tables. WORSE

15 of us went to have dinner together. They couldn’t put us all together so we sat at tables of 4. Ok no prob. But the LAZY WAITRESS WOULD NOT give each table their own check so it was mayhem at them end of the meal trying to figure it all out. This all could have been avoided with a desperate check for each table. ( not separate checks per person). Won’t go back

Worse fish sandwich I have ever had. Up for Americade and wanted to try this place. Wanted a drink and they said the blender was upstairs and they couldn't make it. A bar with two floors and two bars only has one blender and they couldn't either make the drink upstairs or bring it downstairs and make it. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Bartender who works Sunday upstairs needs to learn how to treat customers and maybe smile once in a while. Never checked how my food was (there was a hair in it and never said anything either) would not go back here

Imagine ordering a 14$ shrimp cocktail and this is what you get.

The worst experience ever. The service and waitress last night was so rude. First she handed us a menu to look at and then came back to give us a different menu after we decided on food we wanted because they were “only serving fried foods” at 7:30pm! We decided to order drinks and were told “they couldn’t make the drinks they had on the menu because they were out”. I feel like the waitress hated her job and was not people friendly at all. The eye rolls were so disrespectful and rude. I will never return. Hopefully the owners get better staff for summer. The waitress didn’t even introduce herself but to describe her she was in 40s dark brown hair and wore a hat. As a business owner myself she needs to learn how to interact with the public. I give this place a 1 star for my first time.

Well def a dive bar that has meh food. Fried chicken was fried for sure. So much that I needed to rehydrate it with mayo and mustard. My wife’s lunch same. Agree w several of the 1 star reviews. This place could be so much better if they cared about their food. Will not waste any $ on this place again.

Do NOT waste 10 minutes of your time at this place. Sat at the bar, waited as the bartender finished serving the folks next to me, for some acknowledgement. He went on to another person at the bar. Another guy and woman appeared behind the bar and stood around. After 10 minutes of waiting... I left. Walked down the street, to Christie's. Eight tables out on the porch, somewhat busy. Got seated, beer, ordered and got my cup of lobster bisque in less than 10 minutes. Thank you for ignoring me... I had a wonderful dinner at Christie's and the service was great. I would 5 star going there instead of Duffys!!

Overpriced bar. Draft beers $9 per pint, sangria $11, tequila shots $9-25. The worst part, they can’t count change correctly when paying with cash! I was cheated by a few dollars. Anyways, it’s a very overpriced place for tourists. And I don’t think I am going back again.

I'm only giving a "1" to get this review published. I ate here two nights in a row. The food is decent but a very small bowl of chili at $10 is overpriced. Should be about $6. The night before i had a reuben and it was fine, but $17. At least it included fries. SERVICE is horrible. Our waitress the first night was clearly high as a kite and barely functioning. Amazing the orders were correct. I went back alone the second night and sat at the bar. The most obnoxious, rude, arrogant and condescending bartender (dark hair and glasses) is clearly in the wrong job. She paid perfect attention to the owner and his loud, obnoxious clan. But ignored everyone else, including me. It took 10 minutes to order a Guinness and I was the only one at the bar. Then two couples sat next to me and were treated just as rudely. They paid their tab and left, leaving no tip. Before i left, the owner decided to buy the bar a round, but i refused the Guinness they poured and left after paying my check, and did leave a tip, although i battled myself to do it. Thank goodness other places i visited and enjoyed were so wonderful, or I'd sure have a bad opinion of Lake George. Just don't come here to Duffy's unless you're one of his loud, obnoxious clan. I've been in plenty of dive bars but this was the worst.

I had my first visit at this bar/restaurant in lake George with my mom after she talked about how nice this place was. We go up my mom orders drinks from the bar and we take a seat by the live music (which the performer was extremely friendly by the way).. the server comes over and my mother asks a simple question “when I order here does it go on my tab?” instantly the server got upset with us. We had no issue closing the tab and starting an order with this waitress yet she refused to listen to us and walked away rudely after telling my mom to “listen to her”… extremely unprofessional behavior. I will not be returning.. we had no issues with anyone else but this one waitress and her behavior was enough to cause us to leave.

We stopped in for dinner on a warm night at about 5 pm with plans to eat outside (as advertised on a sign outside). We walked in, area was loud and very small. An employee came over after a couple minutes and said you can sit anywhere”. There was only one table open. My husband went over to the door heading upstairs to see if we could go up there to sit outside but access to upstairs was closed off, so he immediately closed the door the door and we began to walk to the one empty table. A female worker then began screaming at him that “upstairs is closed and that is why the door was locked” My husband very politely stated the door was not locked, which point she stormed off to lick it. The rudeness was unbelievable with no apology. We promptly turned around and walked out. We went across the street to the Moose Teeth Grill where we were promptly greeted by very professional and courteous staff. We enjoyed a lovely meal, in a better atmosphere with great service. Skip Duffy’s and head across the street.
