We came in at 8:15 at night, 45 minutes before closing and STILL got amazing service and EXCELLENT food! It was made fresh and timely. We both got the 7 tender combo with 1 order of fries and 1 mashed potato. The fries were hot, crispy and amazing. The potatoes were better than any chicken joint potatoes and the cream gravy was thick and great! The chicken was seasoned perfectly and so crispy that it held well in the gravy. Shout out to Darrell for the amazing chicken! I think the manager is the one who brought us our food and tops us about all of their offerings! $32 for the amazing food, service and atmosphere is not bad. I’ve spent much more on Golden Chick and KFC and didn’t even like it. They have a really good menu and really good attitudes! Give this place a try, you won’t leave disappointed!

Lady was super friendly, food was hot and great! Mozzarella sticks were to die for! My family and I just moved to Rockwall and we’re sad that we didn’t have a chicken express nearby and then was super excited to learn this used to be a chicken express and most of the food is still very similar with lots of extra things that chicken express did not have
My wife and I have been here on 3 different occasions, all dine in. We have received the BEST customer service each and every time. They are very welcoming, personable and friendly. It feels like they really try and connect with their customers. We wait on average no more than 10 minutes for fresh, hot, cooked to order chicken. I have read some of these reviews and I'm confused because our good has consistently been A+ each time. If you go through the drive thru, you might have to wait, but you're getting food that hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp and isn't stale. I would gladly wait 20 minutes for fresh chicken. Darrell is the BOMB! He knows his way around some spicy tenders and delivers perfection EVERY time! They are flavorful, plump and juicy. Hands down, way better than Churches, KFC or Golden Chick any day.
The food was excellent, it was very fresh. Chicken was moist. Corn nuggets were 'melt in your mouth' and the service was excellent and very fast. My first visit. And it won't be my last! Thank you
Just had dinner here and the food was delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the owner we got to meet and he was extremely nice and kind. Great food try it.
Authentic chicken and great service. I visit this place every-time I'm in town and believe they should not try to compete and lean all the way into what they are. Traditional down home chicken and food good family service keep it simple. Do the things their neighbors don't and keep up the good fight. I love this place and can't wait to see them again next time I'm in rockwall
Easily the best chicken spot in rockwall! I was actually sitting in the Braums drive thru next door when the delicious aroma of fried chicken let me know that I was waiting in the wrong line. I ordered my usual, 3 piece combo, okra for my side, a pepper, and a half and half tea. The chicken was fried to absolute golden perfection, the okra was fresh out of the fryer and absolutely delicious, the pepper was super juicy and flavorful, and the tea gets a Texas-sized stamp of approval. The young man who took my order was courteous and professional, the store was impeccably clean, and the bathrooms were spotless. Y’all did a great job and I’m going to be letting everyone know how much I enjoyed my Sunday dinner! Thanks yall!
If you are looking for hood fried chicken this is the place to go. Best fried okra on this side of the Mississippi River.
My wife and I visited the Cluckin Great restaurant in Rockwall, TX. yesterday. We were well treated by Angela and Crystal. Outstanding employees, clean resturant, and great food at a decent price. Angela and Crystal's hospitality made our day! Those young ladies are a credit to Your business and you should be proud of them......now if you could just clone them! Thanks for a great experience at the Cluckin Great in Rockwall.

Ordered the #3 combo, 3 piece chicken with a regular side, and a large drink. I asked for all dark meat and received a thigh, wing, and breast. The thigh was very juicy and very good. The white meat was a little juicy. The chicken is a bit on the salty side. The breast piece was very large. The fries were ok, a bit over cooked. I also liked the roll. This was a drive-thru order, so I did not see the inside of the restaurant.

The wait was a little long but the catfish, chicken strips and sweet tea were good.
Service was great. However we need to talk to the cooks you put too much breading on the livers and gizzards otherwise every time we've finished all he's been pretty good service was great though
TUFF TENDERS. I commend this place for their attempt at re-establishing the business. The problem is you never know what you’re going to get. Get there when the chicken is fresh it is fabulous. If not, it tastes like it’s been under a heat lamp for a few hours because it has. The last couple times I’ve gotten very tough tenders. They do have a good sides selection. Wish you guys the best of luck.

Thought there was a bone in my tender… was very confused come to found out , it was a fried toothpick in my chicken. UPDATE: per reply to my post , considering it’s actually fried , didn’t come from me. Maybe check out your “raw chicken processor”. Not every review is fake , and/or from a competitor.

Went there today the staff was very nice but coleslaw was horrible french fries tough and chicken eatable. Grease needs changed and they need to wait until hot before they put food in. When it was Chicken Express it was good but unfortunately I cannot recommend this place now. In reply to your post. No I am not a Chicken Express employee or representative I am a retired person and did not work at a fast food facility at all. I was there last night and bought chicken, coleslaw and French fries. Sorry you feel that way but I might have given you another chance but after your smart remarks I will never be back. Your loss not mine.
Thank you for your response, however this post was not fake and I believe you miss understood the post. I said the food is good. What wasn’t good at all is the poor quality of equipment your employees have to deal with when taking a to go order and lack of professional appearance of your staff as well as the almost 1 hour wait in the drive thru for my order. Although the food is good ordering from here is a nightmare. Drive thru needs a new speaker, it’s has been 30 mins and I still haven’t received my food. The employees are in regular clothes, you don’t know if they work here or not!Never coming here again.

We have been eating here before and after the name change and the food and service had always been excellent. But sadly we will not be returning after our latest visit. The buns we were served were not the fluffy and scrumptious ones we were anticipating, but instead the flat hard discs you can see in the attached photo (yeast probably failed as it did not rise, looked almost like a cookie). They should never have served these or charged us for the additional bun. At the very least they could have let us know the buns wouldn't even be "buns" at all. Also, the chicken wasn't up to par. The atmosphere is going downhill, especially allowing an employee's child to play a video a tad too loud while sitting in the dining area amongst customers. :(
Hoping this is actually read in full by owner this time: My husband ordered food through the drive thru at 6:45. He then waited an hour for the food. Then, when they brought the food out, he was asked to wait longer because they were short one roll… He came home upset about how the situation was ultimately handled on his side of things. Being that we are Christians who believe in leading with love, we prayed about it and I took it upon myself to try and do damage control by calling the restaurant and apologizing for my husband and to kind of find out what was going on from a place of understanding and hoped to thank them for what they do, pray with them, and see where they needed help. But when the owner answered my call and found out who my husband was (my husband didn’t even talk to him at all through all of this), he started berating me, belittling me, condescending to me, yelling at me, and finally harassing me by calling me back multiple times after me hanging up and asking him to not call back. I was simply calling to apologize and do damage control… I even said before ending the call through his screaming “It’s not like I expected a refund”… We paid cash anyway, and I saw I wasn’t getting anywhere in the call so I hung up. The owner then called back *multiple* times and just continued to yell and be downright hateful. I just let him carry on until I finally got a word in that continued calls would be considered harassment and to not contact me again. I had to block the number and call the police to stop and report the harassment. To the 2 women running everything: I’m so sorry my husband got upset. Thank you for working very hard to get people their food. From what I understand y’all were very short staffed and very busy and what you do isn’t easy but you and your coworker were ROCKING it! Keep up the awesome work!! To the owner of Cluckin Great: Kindness goes a long way. If you truly take the time to hear your customers and give them the opportunity to speak before assuming the worst and had you not jumped to anger, you would have heard an apology and a thank you for the hard work directly. Instead it unraveled into a mess, but I still hope you’ll see it here. I’m sorry. And thank you. I do understand what it means to work in a restaurant and some days are just plain HARD! Just remember that no matter how hard it gets, the experience you give your customers through all of it leaves a lasting impression to the customer, on you, and to the community. You have an opportunity to spread good and love with tasty food. Don’t take that for granted! I am assuming you’re still new to the community, but eventually I hope you’ll be more receptive to feedback. It will help you improve in so many ways and sometimes can even pleasantly surprise you by helping you grow. I pray that your experience with the public improves. Based on how you treated me, I can tell that what you’ve gotten so far hasn’t been all that great. I’m truly praying for you and I hope the roadblocks that are keeping you from happiness and leading with love and the struggles with your restaurant are all lifted. I pray you become more successful and efficient and that whatever is causing you pain is eased. I really just wanted to post our experience as a reminder to practice being kind to everyone we meet. We make ripples amongst each other… We can choose to spread good through those ripples and stop the negativity before it reaches anyone else. To anyone who read this far: I pray that we all continue to strive for continued growth, compassion, and building a strong sense of community. We must never forget that we have a great power to change someone’s entire world with just one interaction and that is a responsibility that we need to carry wisely. Let’s continue to lift each other up and find ways we can help each other continue to grow and do better!

Do NOT leave without checking your food. The workers will get your order wrong & when you call to tell them to let them know the order was wrong, the lady will blame you for ordering the wrong order, ridiculous. Ordered an Arnold Palmer and got a lemonade should have known then to turn around but gave them the benefit of the doubt and went ahead and went home. The speaker barely works. Poor customer service and food is overpriced save yourself the headache go to golden chick or church’s even Popeyes is a better substitute. Paid 50 dollars to get order wrong then by the time you wait 30 minutes for food take 20 minutes to get home who the heck wants to waist their time and gas to go back to hope they don’t sabotage your food can’t trust people to remake your food that has an attitude about fixing their mistake because clearly they put the blame on the customer before taking accountability!
Ordered on a whim and don’t know why. I ordered a a 2 piece fish and it took over 30 minutes at the drive through with nobody inside or behind me. I’m assuming they had to drive to Lake Ray Hubbard, catch the fish, and then come back to clean and cook it. Never again! I started to drive off had I not already paid. The crazy thing is my food was actually good and fresh thank God, so at least that was nice.
I was headed to Braum’s for a burger but decided to try Cluckin’ next door instead. Big mistake!!!!!! The 2-piece chicken was stale and old, no flavor at all. The fries were cold and disgusting. I honestly don’t know how they serve that 🤢. The only thing remotely decent was the soda, and that says everything. Took one bite, threw it out, and was pissed I wasted my money. I looked up the reviews after, and the owner’s rude as hell too. Unprofessional responses. Should’ve checked reviews before going, but I didn’t. Save yourself the trouble and avoid losing money to this nasty food. Just being real.

This restaurant is terrible, the food is a joke (not cooked properly or served at the right temperature) and the owners couldn't care less. If you look at the reviews they say everyone who says something bad is from a competitor, NO IT'S JUST YOUR FOOD AND SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. They used to be Chicken Express until they had their franchise revoked so now they sell under this bogus name. They already had their franchise closed in Terrell because they were serving food that made people sick.
