Delicious! Meat was tender, ribs amazing, chicken cooked well, and pulled pork was soft! Must add their bbq sauce on table to put the finishing touches on it! Baked beans and corn bread was delicious! If I lived around here this would be my favorite spot! Good job to the cooks, owner and staff!
My wife set up a milestone birthday party for me and she had the catering done by three legged pig. Outstanding! We have used catering services previously and this, by far, was a great experience. Food choices and service were great. My wife and I would use these folks again and will certainly recommend them to our friends. Thanks again for the great experience, Ron & Kelly Palmer
Absolutely among the Best BBQ we've ever experienced, nationwide! The brisket is amazingly tender, it melts in your mouth. Ribs, Wings, and pulled pork are all fabulous. Our group of 6 tried them all and we will be back, it's only an hour from home.
We stopped by this restaurant to try out their food. We had the beef brisket dishes, Wow !! The brisket was so tender is was falling apart, and I could cut it with my fork !! It was well done and tasted Wonderful !! The salt potatoes were Great and were swimming in butter ! Yum !! We are planning on going back soon and trying their other food !!
We live in Rochester and will definitely be back. The food here is amazingly tasty! Thanks so much for dinner. They have brisket, pulled pork, ribs, sandwiches, chicken, and much more. The mac and cheese was kinda bland but the baked beans were ON POINT. And the corn bread was sweet and moist. I will drive the 35 minutes to eat here again. Keep up the good work!
Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend.
I stopped in for a quick lunch on the way through the area. Wow, the brisket is one of the most tender and flavorful I have ever eaten. I may make the 45 minute drive again tomorrow for another taste.
This little place is a knock out. We stop down alot for our BBQ fix. This trip we lucked out, they started up their Smoked Corned Beef which they will have thru St Patty’s Day. The best corned beef I’ve ever had by far…juicy, tender, with an awesome smoky flavor. I highly recommend and am begging them to put it on the menu…coming back for a pound of that stuff.
This place has my heart- it has the best bbq I've ever had. The pulled pork is like butter, so tender and melts in your mouth. Their bbq sauce is delicious. The sides are incredible, so many amazing choices. The servers are so kind, it's always clean, and it's reasonably priced! If you aren't happy full after eating here that's your own fault. I'm craving it just writing this review. If you've never been, don't wait any longer, it'll be worth your time!
went for father's birthday- had pulled chicken quesadilla, super delicious and cheesy. lots of options for pickier eaters as well :)
Really enjoyed our lunch. I can't have anything at all greasy so I had grilled chicken salad but others had bbq ribs which they really enjoyed. My niece is vegan and enjoyed her meal as well. The service was excellent.
We had 3LP catered for my wedding reception and it was DELICIOUS. The meats were amazing (we had Pulled Pork and Sausages), the sides were unbelievably good (I still dream of the Mac n cheese), and the sauce selection left everyone talking about how great each different flavor was. I am not exaggerating when I say EVERYONE went back for seconds and thirds. Courtney was great and very helpful during the process! Thank y'all very much!
If you like barbecue, you have to try three leg at pig. Wonderful pulled pork and brisket. Friendly staff.
Drove 2 hours by motorcycle. Just to come to this place. This is the best BBQ. I had the cow, pig and pasture. The beef brisket was amazing, and pulled pork as well. And you get a good sized portion for the money. Definitely recommend.
I had my son's graduation party catered. My guests went crazy for the food. Not one person said anything bad.. We ordered 3lbs pork, 4lbs brisket, white cheddar mac and cheese x2, mac salad, potato salad and smoked sausage. It was absolutely delicious. Delivery was prompted and set-up by driver. It was honesty the best and most reasonable priced compared to other bbq companies closer to us. Worth every dollar. We had no left overs except for some sausage which didn't last long. We had about 40 guests. Would absolutely order again.. looking forward to dinning in at their restaurant in the future...
We visit here several times throughout the year and the food is always very good and tasty. We love the hushpuppies too. Today we did the Brisket Plate and the 1/2 Rack and 1/2Chicken too. Beans,Mac & Cheese, onion Rings and Fries. We were taking leftovers home for sure. We have been going here around 5 years now and always get great food and Service.
3 legged pig catered my wedding in Geneva, NY. The food was amazing and it was the talk of the night. Becki the catering coordinator was amazing. She was super helpful picking out the menu and assuring me everything would go as planned. She was the easiest vendor I worked with through the whole wedding process. They even allowed me to pay a small extra fee for them to clear all of the dishes from our tables. She calculated how much food we needed perfectly. We had about half-full pan extra of each item. We would suggest them to anyone getting married!! We also went to the restaurant and tried the food before hiring their catering and it was amazing.
Two adults ate dinner here on a Wednesday in mid-August and were very pleased. We both had the Carolina pork sandwich with 1 side. Delicious. We had enough to take home for lunch the next day but YMMV. Cost with about $33 with tax less tip. Would come back again if we lived in the area. Note that they have a very small parking lot and very limited seating, as they seem to be largely a take-out restaurant but the service was great and the server very friendly. Note that they add a surcharge for using a credit card.
Ordered online for take out. Food was excellent. Wish the Mac and cheese tasted more like a homemade but everything else was outstanding! Highly recommend!
I always drove past this place and decided it was time to give it a try. I will say this has to be the best BBQ place is all of the Rochester region. I was super impressed by how awesome the food tasted and how friendly the staff was. It was super clean inside and the food came out fast. I highly recommend this 3LG to all my family and friends. I cannot tell you how excited I am to become a long time customer. Their BBQ sauce is out of the world.
Thank you so much for including a vegetarian option on your menu. Very unexpected, but very appreciated! The bbq pulled oats were awesome in the quesadilla and sandwich. We’ll be back!
Great BBQ. Stop here several times a year. Consistently delicious BBQ. Nice portions and sides, friendly faces, indoor or outdoor protected seating. And they upgraded the bathroom recently which is nice because BBQ (hands!). They make their own sauces—the spicy is a favorite!! Getting to Lakeville is an easy drive too!
Cute little place, very good food. You can't go wrong if you're craving that smokey BBQ flavor 😋 Have a beer and some brisket, but don't forget the sides all are definitely delicious 👍👍 You'll also find a new twist on a chicken wing that is out of this world. Smoked to perfection, then fried and dipped in hot sauce. My new favorite 😍
My family and I had the pleasure of dining at the 3-legged pig this afternoon and it was wonderful. I had the pulled pork plate with cole slaw and salt potatoes. It was all delicious! I also took home half an order of ribs to enjoy tomorrow. Can’t wait to try them! The waitresses were very attentive and gave us all the time we wanted to enjoy or meal with the family. I would highly recommend them and, for the life of me, can’t understand how anyone could possible give them a bad review. Everything was great….including the 70’s music playing in the background. Hope I get the chance to come back again soon!
I'd been wanting to try this place for a long time and today was the day. First, when I saw hushpuppies on the appetizer menu I was a little apprehensive because I'm use to hushpuppies from the south. My wonderful waitress assured me it was a big seller and they turned out to be the best I've ever had. The dipping sauce just added to an already wonderful taste experience. The BBQ beans were sweet but not too sweet and the pulled pork mixed in was great. The coleslaw was creamy, fresh, with a hint of sweetness I really enjoyed. I got a half rack of ribs that were cooked to perfection and the amount of meat on the ribs abundant. With tip I spent 43.00 which might seem a little much but not at all when you consider I got 2 full meals out of it and I'm a big guy. I have to rare this in my top 3 from North Carolina to here. I will definitely be back!
Great BBQ. We ordered ribs and pulled pork. The sides were good, too, especially the mac 'n cheese. The table with the 10% discount sign really works!!! Highly recommended.
The food is delicious and the staff are exceptional. One of my favorite spots to eat, thank you!
Great barbeque, I'm not a big fan, but this place changed my mind. I've had to of their plates as well as some of their wraps. Great portions, great value and bring cash. Though this place does take credit cards, the owners have decided to give patrons who pay cash a 3.99% discount on their bill. They also cater, and are available for fundraising events. They provide take out and outdoor seating for the summer hours.
Food was amazing. The pork rinds were still popping when they came out. Sat out on the porch and it was so nice.
Excellent food, loved the brisket and fresh pork rinds (they come out crackling)! Gets kind of busy and service slows down but staff is super friendly :-)
This place makes the best food!! Nothing really more to say. Local, good prices and very yummy!!
Great smoked 1/2 chicken. My last visit i met here for a date and was a half hour late. So of course the waitress (not sure of name, but she was pregnant at the time) sided with my date and said "they're always late" - hey, can't rush a good thing, especially that 🔥 half chicken, ya get me?!?! These guys have great brisket too! Highly recommend.
We've been going to the 3 Legged Pig for a few years now, and have never had a bad meal. In my opinion, one of the best barbecue restaurants in the area. I live 1-1/2 hour drive from them, and it's worth the drive!
Love this place, food is great and the staff takes care of you. Highly recommend!
Went for the Renaissance fair and when they ran out of turkey legs and steak on a stick, we left for some delicious grub! Was amazing! Staff was so sweet. Great place.
Excellent food. Service was great.... definitely stopping there again....
Best place to have foods after post cycling ride around hemlock lake. The staff is very friendly and accommodating!
The meats were well-cooked - tender, moist, and good flavor. The one downside was that we ordered the largest meat platter they have to split with our family and there was only two slices of brisket with a huge mound of pulled pork.
The best of bbqs! 3 legged pig offeres inside as well as outdoor dining. Wine beer soft drinks are offered. 3 legged pig has a wide variety of menu items to choose. I choose the bbq sausage plate which came with 2 sides. The macaroni and cheese is creamy and delicious and the bbq beans tasted like the beans grandma makes. The sausage tasted homemade and grilled to perfection. Also the bbq sauce is hand made and there is a nice variety to choose from. A nice sized portion of food is served so there's leftovers to carry home. I always pay extra for a carton of Mac and cheese to take home Service was fast efficient and friendly. 3 legged Pig also offers catering for special events. Catering was provided for my husband's retirement party. And I couldn't have been happier.
Stopped in for lunch. Everything was fantastic. I had the garage plate with pulled pork and pulled chicken, my wife had the brisket sandwich. Food was delicious, highly recommend.
I had a friend tell me about this joint. Her and her father had gone to try it out. I guess it was so good. That she had to go again a week later for the craving!! So I had joined her. Just a small place with a lot of heart!! The staff was awesome and eager to answer questions. The food was really good! So flavorful and the portions are nothing to baulk at. I didn't leave hungry for sure. Enough to have for lunch the next day.the prices are very reasonable as well. You get what you pay for.
BEST BARBECUE IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!! grew up on this stuff! definitely plan your visit, it can get super crowded during peak hours, and parking is limited! their brisket is their best ⭐✨
The BBQ here is always very good and tender. The sides are also always very good. The staff are friendly and very attentive. There are cool signs and decorations on the walls. They do offer take out if you would prefer not to dine in. I would continue to come back here
ordered the "pig plate" 🐖 I was pleased with the flavor of the brisket, it was so tender and juicy and had just the right amount of fat and the smoke ring was just on point.. the sausage is so good I just wanted 10 more 😆... ribs fell off the bone literally and we're just really the way they should be... pulled pork WASN'T DRY like most places and tasted like there was a slight vinegar clear baste that just kicked it up a notch... when I ordered the chili automatically I was biased as we all think our chili is the best and I even commented to my meal partner " this chili is so balanced and tasty" so if I could give 10 stars I would ... good job guys ...
My husband & I are out Christmas shopping about an hour from home & wanted to find a place to grab some food. We came across this place and wow! If you have been here yet you definitely should. It was so delicious! The brisket here was amazing, as well as the sides. But the brisket was so tasty you didn't even need to add any BBQ sauce (thats how it should be). But we had to try their own sauce which was really good. The original BBQ & the spicy BBQ was our favorite. We ordered the brisket plate, plus 2 sides.
The corn nuggets were crispy outside and creamy inside. Smoked wings, chicken, and ribs were amazing with a perfect smoke flavor. White cheddar Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Son loved the frito pie. The sausages were super flavorful. Highly recommend! Very reasonable prices and big portions.
Typical Saturday afternoon. Time for lunch rolled around and we headed for 3LP. The wife got the pulled pork with garlic green beans and sweet potato fries. Substituted the jalapeno cornbread for a plain dinner roll. She said it was the best she had up here (NY). I had the brisket plate with bbq beans and salt potatoes. Cooked to perfection. Not sure why they have bbq sauce on the table. Sure didn't need it for my meal. Already looking forward to the next time.
One of my favorite BBQ joints in all of NY. I'm from KC Missouri, so I have a good deal of knowledge about what real BBQ tastes like. The food here is FANTASTIC, service is generally, quick and friendly, and they boast a fairly good beer selection as well. I LOVE their take on the "garbage plate", giving you options of what BBQ to adorn it with. A gem for the area, and well worth the drive from the nearby towns. Outdoor seating is available, as well as indoor and take out. Bring cash, because even though they do take plastic, there is a surcharge (it's a reasonable 3%, nothing overdramatic). The only drawbacks are that it's a struggle to not over eat, and parking area is small, so get there early. I love this place.
A carnivores' delight. Ribs, chicken and other dishes are fantastic. Just the right amount of smoky flavor yet moist and tasty. No apparent vegetarian menu choices but that's not the point here. Nice selection of brews that complement the food, at very reasonable prices. Waitstaff is helpful and efficient but the kitchen crew deserves the biggest praise.
Amazing food! Had the spin off of the Cuban sandwich and was thoroughly impressed! The server was kind and checked up on us often. The prices are definitely decent. $70 for 6 people! The only down side was a 3.99% fee for credit cards
Great BBQ, friendly service. Sometimes they're a bit dry and leathery as it gets closer to closing time, but in this area, they're the best ribs around! And the brisket is phenomenal. The sides like mac & potato salads are yummy, but the portions are super small--they feel like about 6 bites and it's gone. Seems like they could be a bit larger and still be profitable.
Nice place. We ate outside with a motorcycle group on a Tuesday evening. There were close to 20 of us that arrived together. The service was friendly and quick given that we arrived en Mass with no warning. The beer was cold (always an important consideration). The smoked brisket I had was flavorful though a touch dry. I each of the main sauces (spicy, tangy, sweet). I liked the spicy best - it was a red sauce and mildly spicy. The tangy looked to have mustard as a main ingredient. I'd do it again.
Good food. A little pricey to be expected for the quality. Update: I just went back after deciding that 3-Legged-Pig had the best burger anywhere, but the patties were smaller, the bun was smaller and they were out of bacon. Also, the cheese was disappointing (maybe I requested cheddar cheese last time). So, go for the pulled pork and ribs, not the burger.
Food was perfect, but had to ask for refills on drinks, and 2 of our party asked for o ice in their drinks, only 1 received that. Only gave 4 stars on atmosphere because the music was somewhat loud, causing other tables' conversation to get ratcheted up too, then I couldn't hear what was being said. Not staff's fault, but there were tons of flies and then bees in the porch area. The flies were rather aggressive to stake a claim in "their food" it seemed.
Just plain good BBQ, period. I prefer my ribs with the membrane removed but it didn't take away from them. Would have preferred to get some bark in my pulled pork but it was very juicy. Cornbread wasn't too shabby, you could tell they made it. The beans had good flavor as well. I had the #4...
I went specifically for the ribs, they were worth it. I got the max salad and the cornbread is my two sides both very good. You do not need to put butter on the cornbread because it was perfect without.
I ordered the pulled chicken for take out. It was kind of dry and. It shredded a lot. But I know from past experience the ribs and pulled pork are to die for. Looking forward to coming back.
Cool little place in lakeville ny, only in town for a few days and this place got great recommendations from a few people so wanted to go. Got the brisket quesadilla as an appetizer and the pork feast split between three of us. The food was really goood, good smoke flavor, the portions were really big, all the sauces had good flavor and were unique. All and all good experience the server was very attentive, thanks for the bbq :)
Funny decor. Fantastic food. The BBQ platter, fried pickles, were delicious. My husband and son were not a fan of the wings and chicken sandwich. The restaurant is small and seating was limited. We visited on a Saturday afternoon at about 2:30. We thought that would be a good time for a late lunch/early dinner. There was one table left that we snagged. More and more customers were arriving that had to wait. Great to be busy!! Good for the restaurant. I do find their model a little clunky. As first time visitors, we didn't know what to do. Do we seat ourselves? Do we go to the counter to order? Several people behind the counter but no acknowledgement. Made us think people are regulars and know the drill. We felt a little lost on what is the protocol. Waitress eventually told us to find a table and she would be over shortly.
Amazing food with plentiful serving sizes made for a splendid evening repast! Ordered the #2 and it was more than enough for two. Waitress sort of forgot about us so the ordering took longer than it prob would have. (But it was worth the wait!) She also forgot to give us the cash discount. It was a few minutes after closing so she was prob ready to get home. Not a deal breaker. Just a heads up.
We had lunch here during the work week. It was crowded. It's a nice atmosphere. Definitely fun. I had the pulled pork n onion rings. Rings were the premade frozen kind.. yuck. And my husband had the tri-tip sandwich and sweet potato fries. Fries were great. We had fried green tomatoes for apps- they were tasteless and also the premade frozen kind. The portions are extremely small for the price but the meats had good flavor. $35 for a lunch for two was pretty steep. Likely wouldn't go again.
I go here and get smoked beef brisket by the pound and take it home. It's very, very good. The side dishes aren't and we don't care for the pulled pork either, not smoked enough and the sauce isn't good. Too sweet! They should have it offered "plain" no sauce!
It's okay. We ordered the fried pickles, which were quite good. For entrees, we had the pulled chicken and pulled pork sandwiches. The pulled chicken was entirely breast meat without any seasoning at all and dry because breast meat has little fat, and there was no juice of any kind. They did offer a new sandwich, which was more tender, but still quite dry. The pulled pork had good flavor despite no or little additional seasoning. The garlic green beans were not seasoned, and tasted like they were frozen beans and piles of garlic... not a bad thing if you add a little seasoning, butter, etc. The beer we ordered was end of the keg. Our waitress was very kind and didn't charge us for the end of the keg since we didn't get a full pour. It didn't seem possible to get a fresh glass from a new keg at that time. The jalapeño cornbread was pretty good. It was moist and had good flavor. I've had their food in the past and not been overly impressed. I do like the atmosphere and convenience of the location, but I don't think I will be going back.
2.5 stars since service was great and food is not their fault. I was so excited to try this place since barbecue is one my favorite types of food. The brisket and the onion rings were the best items we tried. Hush puppies were okay in texture though the sauce doesn’t amplify their flavors at all. I do understand keeping items plain and allowing people to season and sauce to taste, however the pulled pork especially and everything we tried was barely smokey. I expected a lot more from the real pit bbq advertisement. Brisket had a nice texture and a bit more smokey flavor, salt potatoes were the right texture as well. Mac n cheese, sides, meats, and sandwiches were far too bland for us, even with the sauces provided at table. I would recommend bringing your own sauce if you go this route. They did have vegetarian options for folks. Atmosphere was okay, note that if you don’t dig country music, sit further from the speaker corners. I would recommend taking the time to head north to route 96 bbq which is consistently stand out and delicious on its own.
My husband and I didn't care too much for the place or food. All of their sides other than meat are not made on the premises but are pre made and pre bought.
Ordered brisket platter.. Was given one good size piece of brisket. Was juicy and fatty but wasn't pull apart. The regular mac and cheese wasn't worth the calories... Mushy and tasted like was a generic box from the store. Apparently they have a white cheddar that costs more and people like.Coleslaw was soggy and and a bit bitter. The beans were excellent and the barbecue sauce was excellent. would like to try more flavors. For the 26$ I paid for 1 slice of brisket and 2 of the 3 of the sides that were underwhelming are the main reasons for my 3 stars. Service was attentive and friendly.
The food was mediocre and my party received "Get Out" vibes from the staff and guests who starred at our every move. They were out of a few of the BBQ meats when we went. The sodas were all flat. Our waitress was nice but she messed up too many times. The waitress being nice gets them 2 stars. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend this place. Especially to people of a darker skin tone.
We haven't been here in a while. We had a big group and ordered a couple of combos. The sides and pulled pork were good, but the ribs and chicken were way overdone. Burnt, dried out, and tough.
I had the pulled pork, cole slaw and baked beans. The beans were good, the pork was ok.. and the cole slaw had no flavor. Would've been better if they offered a BBQ sauce without all the corn syrup and chemicals in it . You know ..something with all natural ingredients in it so I could've put something on my pork.
really wanted to try this place out, but after reading how the owner responds to customer reviews, i think i’ll pass.
Thanksgiving 2020, went to buy rack ribs, potato salad, mac and cheese, chicken wings, it was the worst food I ever ate or purchased. Dry old ribs were cold they tasted like they had been warmed over and over like leather, the wings were the same. My husband can almost eat anything he threw the potato salad in the garbage and we washed the meats and gave it to the dog. The sauces were horrible. If anyone says this is a good place to eat, surely they know nothing about good food or they have no taste buds. I owned a restaurant for 15 years, if I would have served food like that I would have been out of business in a week. Wasted $52.00...never again, that place should be shut down. I wouldn't have given a 1 star but had to in order to post this. Can't believe so many people posted this place has good food, a real shame. I Would love my money back. I live in Malone, NY. I paid by debit card I still have the receipt, you can credit my card.
I really don't enjoy leaving a negative review. However, if it is honest & not intended to harm... The ribs and the cornbread were cold. The macaroni & cheese was forgettable. The pulled pork wasn't eaten. Won't ever go back there. Very unpleasant memory (if I'm being honest, and I am).
Maybe you should go back to school to learn how to run a business, hopefully people in the area learn and stop wasting their money on a restaurant that has an owner who likes to act like they’re in middle school with feedback. I have no idea why any one would recommend this place. Reading the reviews of how disgusting and rude the owner is, just goes to show who the hell owns the place and it’s pathetic. You can’t take any feedback without acting like a child. The 4% non cash adjustment is beyond me as well. There are way better restaurants in the area that care more for the customers that spend their money with them.
Doubled the prices, less meat. Was very disappointed in the quality and quantities. This place fell off. Owner doesn't like my honest review. I've eaten here for probably 5 years. It used to be the best and fairly priced bbq in the area. The pig platter used to cost me $50 with a tip it was most recently $100 with a tip. People don't just love a joint and all of sudden just right a bad review. It's called honesty. Honestly this place has seen better days!
Service was ok, impossible to get a drink though. Food was beyond horrible. Server ended up taking some of it off and wasn’t surprised at all, said food isn’t so good when we are busy. It was beyond bad. Whoever is in charge of this kitchen should be fired, also tell the guy handling the bread he needs to wear gloves 🤮 Edit to reply to owner response I would definitely buy it for $100 and turn it into something great.
I have been here several times before and the food was good. The last time I decided to do takeout. I wanted enough food for 3 people so I ordered a full rack of ribs and 3 sides. The website says that should be ~$33,00 for the ribs and 2 sides. I ordered larger sides to feed 3 people. When I get there, they charged me $73.00. They charged me for ALL the sides including the ones that came with the ribs. When I got home and ate, the ribs were tough and tasteless. The rib bones should easily separate from the meat but didn't. Way undercooked. I won't go there again.
This is one of the most poorly ran establishments i have personally aten at. while the food is decent the staff have poor attitude and the restaurant is poorly ran. i have called multiple times before 5 o clock to order food and been told they are not serving any more food for the rest of the night on multiple occasions. 2 hours before you close should be plenty when i could walk in and sit down for a meal. i have enjoyed the food from this place for a long time but the service has completely collapsed after covid. I would rather do take out because the place gets dirtier by the month. Owner needs to sell if he has stopped caring.
