Hole in the wall. Food specials daily no drink specials but so far all the food had been good. I have eaten pizza, beef dip, salads, steamed veggie bowl w rice, breakfast burrito, chicken tenders, French fries, Turkey melt and probable more that I don't recall...all good
Wonderful family oriented people work their especially Dan and Heather. They are fantastic servers. Also became friends with great people that are regulars.
Glory Days is a Lakewood staple. It is nothing special but we love it.
1st off gotta say my BLUE MOON has NEVER been poured better I've finally know what a bluemoon actually taste like 🥂! And well nice and outgoing waitress joe!Very great place to go to with friends, or family, including kids, the wings were very good my daughter loved the 🍔🍟 my son loved the spaghetti 🍝 and my daughter's friend loved the chicken marinara pasta 🍝...
This place was fantastic! The beer were large and cold... The burger was inexpensive and delicious. I highly recommend coming here if you can find a seat
Best wings nobody comes close!!! taco Tuesday off the hook big menu. Burger bash Thursday is amazing been going since I was a kid. Amazing staff! Dont pass on this spot
Let me just say....they make the most incredible and tasty pastrami sandwich in the world because of the chefs, the lovely ladies serving, and the pastrami and The Buns....oh my what buns...buns for buns ..mmm 😋 mm I get Not Toasted, so you can feel the roll and all, in your mouth as your biting down...oh my, mustard on side, never use it and pickles on the side....sometimes in but I love the roll You are in for a treat I do say..Tuesdays 6.95 and a tasty ice cold beer mmm they are closed Monday and Wednesday as they need more staff...good staff are like a diamond in the rough...it's rough to find them...
Great casual place to grav a sandwich or salad. I had the grilled cheese, my son had fish abs chops, both were great.
Always great service and food here. Nice outdoor seating area for when the weather is too good to be inside. Can get a little crowded but always worth it.
I love this place they moved from across the street where the YMCA is in Lakewood next to the tire shop now they make a hamburger on Thursdays it's hamburger Mania 350 for a cheeseburger half pound delicious moist cook just wright of perfection. Service was excellent nice crowd atmosphere was beautiful couldn't ask for anything more especially for that hamburger is like an $8 cheeseburger with all the fixin's
Good spot to get some grub, my server Joselyn was very nice, give that woman a raise. Place is nothing fancy, but in my opinion its perfect, hope to come by here again.
Neighborhood staple...great place to watch a sports game, grab some food & drinks with friends, or just to unwind in a very casual and relaxed environment. The Staff is on point and takes good care of its patrons.
Eat here often and staff is amazing. Atmosphere is great! Food is great! Price is great. Would highly recommend.
It’s busy but good burgers. I’ll review this restaurant again I want to try their cheese steak sandwich and pastrami sandwich. Both are supposed to be excellent 👍🏻
Awesome place to stop by and have a good time after a hike or sporting event. Food is well prepared. Service is just down to earth, as it should be. Highly recommended.
Always a great time there. Mom lives in the area and she and her friends love the taco Tuesday. We love to join them. The service is quick and our favorite server Lilly makes it perfect.
Great local sports bar w/ delicious bar food. Met really nice people there.
Great friendly atmosphere and cold beers. Can't beat it
Amazing place definitely recommended 👌 love the food had the turkey burger it was nice and big Juicy as well the Mozzarella sticks were big and Season correctly
We were seated right away and very attentive. Food was amazing!! Even though I am not vegan they have a huge selection for everyone. My vegan friend agrees it was delicious!
Great food and beer. Staff was excellent.
The food here is terrific! The burgers are very big and very tasty - pne of the best around. We got one basket of steak fries and it was plenty for 3 of us guys to share. The service was excellent - seat yourself but we were greeted promptly, given menus and drink order taken. The menu is pretty extensive and has something for everyone
I’ve been going here for years and absolutely love glory days! The people are so nice and welcoming. It’s not just a bar it’s a family place also
A fun sports bar. Impeccable service. The food Faire is sumptuous. The hot 🔥 wings were straight out of Buffalo! The burgers 🍔 are top shelf. Get the frings! All this and ice cold beer in a family atmosphere. A must go!
Been coming here for years since I moved to the area, my dad loves this place! Fantastic little sports bar with tons of TVs, great food, ice cold beer, and top notch staff. They also have a sister location "Beachside" in Seal Beach that's great as well. Gets packed on game days and for their daily specials depending on the time of year or any holiday, they're also known for throwing fundraisers or cook-offs for various charities and assorted special events. Definitely recommend, 2 thumbs up!
Fun atmosphere, lively vibe, good food. My favorites; Grilled chicken sandwich, steak fries, and meatball sandwich, they also make a great margarita .
Originally visited the Seal Beach location for our high school reunion. I know over 20 years ago I graduated high school okay! But once I moved to the Lakewood area I saw this location. Started coming here. People are great and big hit with the locals that live in the area. TVs everywhere so you don't miss out on a game. I like sitting at the bar but outdoor seating is nice too if it's not too hot outside. Good food! Good drinks! 👍
We wanted a good ol' traditional American cheeseburger tonight and had never been here before but had driven past many times so we decided to give it a go. Overall, I was impressed. I was a bit disappointed that the soda was out of can and not from a fountain like I prefer but I'm not sure if it's always that way or just right now because of Covid. As for the cheeseburger, it was delicious perfection. And I was super excited that they serve Steak fries which were also super yummy. Also the service was great - very friendly and attentive.
I love this place, it has the feel of classic Americana that is disappearing from a lot of So Cal cities. Little league teams and coaches, large families, blue collar Americans. Beers, great food and great people. Reminds me growing up in 1990s San Fernando Valley that no longer exists.
Loved going to glory days when i lived in long beach. We had a nice visit last time I was there it was nice being able to bring my puppy and have friends meet up. It was a good time and our server on the patio was a doll.
Popular Lakewood hangout. Nice atmosphere. Food is above average. Waitresses are nice 🙂
Great for the entire family. Great food & drinks. Great Service!! 5 STARS!!!
Great place to meet friends and enjoy the vibe.
Great atmosphere, it can get busy but over all great neighborhood sports bar I'm there every Thursday after my son lakewood games and his band practice they take care of us every time so if u are near by check them out
We just had life celebration at Glory Days and couldn't ask for a better place. We were able to set up a 3-piece band and our food and service was excellent. Thank you all!
Thursday night and Glory Days is packed, must be a "hamburger special" night. $3.95 for a burger and 🍟!!! Lakewood loves it. Indoor and outdoor seating rocks when the weather warms up. Highly recommended.
We went to see a hockey game and enjoy the beer and food. Patty melt and pastrami sandwich were delicious and the fried zucchini was a great starter. The bartender put the game on as soon as we requested it and they have many screens to satisfy every taste.
I took my crew from Best Friend Plumbing in Cypress to Glory Days for Burger Bash. Everyone was fed for about half the cost of going elsewhere and, better yet, everyone loved their food - burgers and fries today - and I loved the draft root beer served in a frosty mug. Service was excellent.
This is my first time here, trying to find a sports bar to watch the Superbowl. My wife and I ordered the wings and Modelo beer. The wings were big and delicious, as were the steak fries. Cold beer and a friendly atmosphere. There are TV screens everywhere. The only thing to improve, in my opinion, is the sound. The food is a little bit pricey but worth it!
My friend told me about burger bash a LONG time ago. I’m normally not available on Thursday nights but tonight was an exception. We made the trip to Lakewood and we’re not disappointed. $4 for a great burger! 805 is nice and cold. Casual and cool vibe. Lots of families. We will be back!
Great experience! The food was very tasty, especially the mozzarella stixs. Probably the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had! Only issue was my burger' bread was kinda soggy and it was noisy so the server couldn't really hear us. Other than that its a great place for families and the food is served quickly!
Berger are good. The service is lacking. Trying to get a to go order was sad, girls just walk right by you with there Short Short and because I was older lady they just ignored me. Over 30 min. to get two bergers to is bad. Service gets a 1 star.
Not a bad place to be. Its a big place with a patio. Serves food and its where a lot of Dodger fans hang out to watch the games. I consider it a Dodgers bar.
It was decent. Crowded and noisy but it was a Thursday when they have $3 burgers. Service was very good. Atmosphere wasn't great, even though it's a sports bar.
Good food, great prices, cold as hell beer. What else could you want. Expect to wait on a Wednesday (burger special) or anytime there's a game. They are severely understaffed at times and it can be frustrating but it's worth the wait.
Decent food. Beer taps rarely change but it's the only local place I've found green flash west coast IPA. Good weekday specials, and generally friendly customers.
Great burgers. Prices slightly on high side, but do get a lot of food. Socially distanced outside dining. Recommend the Tuesday and Thursday specials.
I've been going to Glory Days for almost 20 years. Nothing has really changed about the place except the pricing which went up not down. The food is good and the beer is cold but not really sure if its worth what they're charging. This used to be the local spot to meet up, grab some grub, and unwind. If I still lived locally not sure how often I would still come. The staff changes constantly and has a few core workers that have been there forever. So the reason why I give 4 stars is the pricing. In the few short years I've been gone the pricing has basically doubled.
Great burgers and nice thick "steak cut" fries. The Tuesday special makes this a great stop for dinner. Nice memories from all the old photos on the walls from the local high School sports teams that Glory Days has sponsored in the past.
Way over priced for the amount of food you get, but the specials make up for it and the beer is really cold. They have something for everyone as far as the menu goes and if you want something special they're pretty accomodating. Also, its a great place to watch sports, catch up with old friends, and make some new friends as well.
Food and service are always on point. The guy who brings the food out with the pony tail is always friendly and offers great customer service. Kind of bummed about the "service charge" for using your card now. Bring cash!!!
At 1st I was disappointed with the Amount of Fried Breaded Mushrooms & Zucchini i received. If you're use to receiving a large amount of breaded fried mushrooms or zucchini that are tasteless! This is not the place. Glory Day's has excelente Breaded Fried Mushrooms & Zucchini. In addition the Tuesday Cheese Burger special's along with the Tuesday Hamburger special's are Amazingly tasty & full of plenty of flavor. I also had them add grill onions to both burgers. I got full after eating just one. They are that good!
Good burgers and good prices. You can sit outdoors too. The manager dude is grumpy and unfriendly, but staff is fine.
It has a very local atmosphere. The burger and Zucchini were good. They only have soda in cans. Nice atmosphere to watch sports on TV
Can't beat the $5 burger on Thursday
Absolutely LOVE their 🍔 burger bash Thursday! The burgers are juicy and really big. I've yried their mozzarella sticks, fries and onion rings and can honestly say they are the really good. My personal favorite are the mozzarella sticks, they are huge and have a little kick. The staff is awesome and always friendly. The only thing is that their pool table has been out of order for awhile..
Good food. Very nice servers. Went with a group of 25 (baseball team waiting on tournament outcomes) and they welcomed us and accommodated us well.
Felicia, our waitress was fabulous! We had a party of 15, and she took care of us! The place, Glory Days, was absolutely fun and amazing everyone that came - loved the place. It was an amazing night! My sister- in- love is very picky about her food and she fell in love with her veggie dish! I was so happy with that. The food was great!!!! I know everyone will be coming back for more on their own.
Food was cold for 2 of us , nothing worse than cold fries. Service was okay but not excellent
Fund raiser night and way too many people there. Keeping that in mind the beer was cold but so was the burger. Plus side is that the burger was good even cold so let's give them a second chance!
Over cooked burgers, dry and crumbly. Prices are way to high for the quality of service, quality of food and quality of decor that I witnessed. Lots of TV's, lots of sports going on. As a sports bar this place works a step above average, as a grill it is below average, hence 3 stars.
Nice place to go and hang out but very loud. Burgers are pretty good on Thursdays. There are people smoking outside and when the waitress go in and out to service the outside patio, the smoke enters the front of the restaurant and it stinks! I wish they would not allow people to smoke in front of the restaurant.
Glory days has great dive bar options like burgers wings and pizza. The pizza was not very good. The table service was pretty on point. The atm did not work and the arcade steals your money from the kids.
This place needs to work on their cleanliness. I watched their employee put the top cover of their ice machine on the floor to fill it up and then use that same edge of the cover to move the ice around and make it fit 😳.
We took our kids here on a whim after reading other glowing reviews of this restaurant. I don't get it. The food is ok, atmosphere is ok, service is ok. For 4 of us it cost over $70. We ordered a burger (split), basket of fries and onion rings, a cheese pizza and a slider plate for the kids (no kids menu but there are "kid friendly" options). The burgers were pretty good, no complaints about that, but the pizza tasted like a microwave pizza and looked like a one armed orangutan cut it. Horrible. One thing that I thought was odd is they don't have a soda fountain? We got iced tea in a can. And they had juice boxes for the kids to drink. The staff was nice enough and attentive. Overall I felt the food is way overpriced for the quality.
We ordered burgers. Everyone had a different burger so the waiter did not know who's burger was who's, so everyone was sesrching for their own burger. Fries were kind of luke warm, and burger's weren't all that great. Will probably not be back
Do not get the Hawaiian shrimp truck. It was boiled shrimp with some type of weird mayo sauce. The place looks like a cool spot to watch the game and catch a beer.
We went for a fundraiser and they are very generous. However, the food and service is average at best. Nice staff, but things like bringing side condiments with no flatware to apply it. Had a Cobb salad that I would never order again. Not bad, just average.
Introduced to the place by the blues Man Don, $1.50 a burger long time ago. Rest in peace to blues Man Don and the $1.50 Burger.🤷
Food is good but service can be slow if it's really busy. We were outside at it was windy and cold. My coffee came in a Styrofoam cup. It seems that there weren't enough real mugs so it took our waitress a bit to find me one, but she did. They were very good about getting the heater going for us.
Burgers were raved about and recommended, they were not as good as the hype made them out to be. Service was less than great, had to get up 4 times to find server and despite being kind about it, the server grew irritated as if her lack of attentiveness was my fault. It was simple requests, like napkins, a knife to cut the burger for kids, and drink refill, it was not a busy time and there were 3 different servers.
Went to ice hockey match with friends. Food is nothing extra (eatable) but will not order next time. Beer on tap is good, mostly regular California selection (Modelo, IPA and some lemonades like Corona and Bud)
It's a great place to hang out, but the food isn't very good. I ordered a turkey melt and the turkey looked and tasted like cheap lunch meat from the market. The cost of the food isn't worth the quality.
First time at this bar and I won’t be returning. Dan was rude to my friend and I while sulking around the bar and intimidating staff. Shame as the food was good and drinks were cold. I see in the comments we were not the only ones who were treated poorly by this person. Apparently this is not an issue for management.
Came in for a burger .. used to be the Best place to get a burger & a 🍺... NOW $13.00 (12.95) for just a plain old burger.. add the beer ..$ 20 .oo . 49.ers 👍Maan their burgers are smokin. 👌 Delicious Sorry Glory days your pricing is a bit much for Lakewood .. you must think you're in Seal Beach lol hehe
I was there last night beer is the best nice and cold but the ground beef nachos nothing close to good I didt even finish
I really like this place until I ordered a side of steak fries to go with my burger (BURGERS COME WITH A SMALL BAG OF CHIPS NOT FRIES; come on potatoes are cheap). It was a "small" basket (ordered full) not half and it cost $9.45!!!! For fries???? That is highway robbery. The waiter was very dry and unfriendly; dont be in the service business if you can't be nice or don't have a personality. You don't have to entertain me, but be, at least, friendly.
Been eating here for 18 years. I supported glorydays through the pandemic and lately have had terrible experience. Now tonight I ordered food to go which I understand you could mess up. The lady was polite had my order corrected with the cook and She came back gave me my food no one was rude. Then when I get home I find all 3 burgers was smashed and this is the large order of garlic fries the cook sent. Disappointed my whole family loves coming here and it's just like no one cares anymore.
Horrible service, horrible food. I'LL NEVER GO BACK, JUSK AWEFUL
Arrived 2:15, waited on by happy blonde girl, got burger and small fry as did my guests, rang up small fry, $2.50 overpriced, went to waiter, tried to recover $2.50, said I need card to return “my money” Apple paid, so I said “I got the Black tax” I’m just saying. Shady place adding black tax. SMH😩😩watch $$$alert$.
I have been going to Glory Days for years even before they moved from across the street. Even time it has been great and wonderful food. But tonight ,if this was my first time at Glory Days I would never go back. The food was still good, but the service was awful. Our server was rude to us and sarcastic to us. Not the treatment I always get from here. I did have people with me that was from Boston, they have never been there before and really don't want to visit again even if the food was good. I think I will be trying Seal Beach next time I want a ice cold beer and sandwiches.
It was a burger bash Thursday afternoon and we waited in line for 30 min while others were seated before us who came after us. We were the only ones who had our temperatures taken (we were also the only Asians there at the time). I've been coming here for years and never had this problem. The heavy set waitress in front had the attitude. She seemed to be catering the "regulars" that day. Just sayin'
Unfortunately not what I expected. Came in on an afternoon Saturday and felt unwelcome as soon as we stepped in. We got over it and sat down, as soon as we did we noticed how dirty the seats and table were…again we overlooked it, so finally the server comes in and drops off the menus but tells us that the internet was out and they were only taking cash… That’s when we decided to take our money elsewhere.
Went in sat down waited for one of the two waitress didn’t get seated. The young man cleaning the table was the only nice person who said we can sit. Sat down waited 15 mins no service. Finally one of the old ladies came to take our temperate, which by the way other people were in a out and she didn’t take any temperature of them, so she did that then left didn’t take out order. Idk if she thinks we didn’t have money or we looked like youngsters but customer service was horrible. I got the white vip vibe. Take your business elsewhere across the street to legends Nashville chicken way better customer service!
I honestly think that this place is owned by KKK. Came in with my buddy and we experienced the rudest service ever and only after for other customers order chicken wings after us they receive their orders before us. I felt like we were treated like criminals the entire time I was here even when I ask for a different cheese on my hamburger other than the American cheese she wanted to charge me extra for it. Everybody in the entire establishment is white with blonde hair or red hair and blue eyes. I noticed a ton of law enforcement as well, and I also noticed that all the non whites were treated with disrespect. The burgers were bomb tho and the beers were cold
Poorest Service I have ever come across, rude Servers, dirtiest place, Meeting ground for very strange Individuals, disgusting atmosphere! Makes you wonder how this place stays in Business? BTW, they never served me, I just left frustrated after waiting 45 minutes to place an Order. Absolutely ridiculous! I can’t believe I have to give them one star. They deserve no star at all.
WARNING!!! OVER PRICED!!! THEIR FOOD IS NOT THAT GOOD. YOU WILL PAY FOR THE REMODEL THEY DID. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL GLORY DAYS, NOT THIS EXPENSIVE AND HAD A GOOD ATMOSPHERE. We paid $7.47 for a coke in a can and a bud light draft. We refused to pay $9.45 for a plain hamburger and Over $6 for fries. So, without a tip, the total would have been about $30. That's for 2 plain hamburgers, fries , a coke and a light beer. Also, we were ignored when we came in and care just average people. This is the absolute truth, even if they try to refute this, it's the very sad facts!
Okay, I never write bad reviews but this time it's so well deserved. So I ordered take-out for me and my daughter, which I do almost weekly. Placed an order for 2 cheeseburgers and 2 fries. Picked it up, took it home and 1 cheeseburger had NO MEAT. Wth. Called the next day AND daily the whole week, finally left a message for a Richard Brown and still HAVE NOT received a callback. Now come on, the total for these 4 items was $52.80. I paid almost $20 for a cheeseburger with NO MEAT! And the manager, Richard Brown I'm told, does not even have the courtesy to call me back and correct this wrong.
Came here for a new experience , great environment , service was average, our server seemed like she was more focused on customers that were leaving instead of taking our order. The food was ok , it honestly needed love and was flavorless. Ordered fish tacos and didn’t taste like anything. Would not be coming back.
Don’t waste your time and money at this location! Atmosphere sucked, as did the servers/bartender with the hat and red beard. Go the few extra miles to Seal Beach where the servers/bartenders are Amazing and make you feel right at home. And they have music, bands and karaoke!
We stopped by yesterday to enjoy a beer on the patio since we are staying in the area and wanted to support local. We walked inside and weren't greeted by anyone for a few minutes so we went back out to the patio. A woman was taking orders and we asked if we could sit anywhere. She said yes, and brought us menus but didn't ask if we wanted anything. She went back inside and didn't return for about 10 minutes. In that time, two other tables sat down. She went to the table next to us and took their order without even acknowledging us. We decided to leave since we didn't feel valued as customers. We will spend our money elsewhere.
u guys have breakfast on the menu but the kitchen dont open till 10AM ? only offered breakfast burritos and nothing else.
Friend got rice, stuffed mushrooms, asparagus and shrimp. It was all too spicy and overcooked. Not worth $35. From Sharmeen
Food is decent. Nothing over the top. Service was really bad. The worst service I’ve ever experienced. Waitress (who I think is the owner) yelled at my gf for taking a sip of my beer. Then she came back to our table to yell at us some more. I wanted to leave after the first time she yelled but she prevented us from leaving making it awkward
