Mehfil Restaurant

One of the best Indian/Pakistani food places around. We had Haleem, chilli chicken, lamb curry, naan and mango kulfi. All the items are really tasty. They have a huge banquet hall attached to the restaurant too.

Mehfil has reopened in Lakewood with a brand new restaurant and a banquet hall that seats up to 200 people, probably the largest desi banquet in southern California! The food is fantastic and they have the best biryani, gola kabab, chiken tikka masala in town! Set up is very modern and really clean and amazing bathrooms (a rare thing for desi restaurants)! Tahir (chef) is probably the best desi chef in town, this place is breath of fresh air for the desi community!

There’s songs in rhe background, the tables are very clean and the staff is very friendly while also the food being very tasty. They make it out of there own hands and do onto use frozen while also making it taste just like home. I would really recommend this restaurant very much. At least give this a try it is amazing!

I consider myself a foodie and I love spicy food. That being said I tried this place and was pleasantly surprised. The wait staff was nice and attentive with my seating, ordering and bringing out the food. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Overall its a great place if you want tandoori and the spice level was perfect. I will come back here with my co-workers.

The food here is delicious. I came for the Sunday brunch buffet and was surprised by the quality of food. I didn't expect too much considering its only about 12 dollars, but there was so much variety and everything tasted wonderful. I've been to quite a few Indian/Pakistani cuisine restsurants, and without a doubt Mehfil is favorite. Highly recommend if you are interested in trying some new, exotic, and flavorful foods.

Great spot for events and food catered through them is always good. A little next door shop they have opened for normal serving though is hit or a miss on some items. The Hot and Sour Soup was a joke taste and price wise.

Wadiyat Abbas (Atika Naqvi)

I was visiting Long Beach area and found this gem, good food mix of Pakistani and Afghan menu, had a great time. Front lady (Zoey) is a gem and pleasant personality to help you order the right taste. Highly recommend this place for mix platter, chicken tikka masala and afghan kabuli pulao.

I attended a wedding here. From the apetizers to the desert all food was perfectly cooked and nicely served. Mango Lasi was perfect. Only thing missing was cooling inside i think they can crank it up a notch their Ac.

The food and service were excellent. Staff was polite and attentive. The chicken tikka was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spice and that nice crisp you expect. I'll definitely be coming here again.

I have tried their biryani during friday after Jummah for only $6/box. Very reasonably price and good amount of spice. I hope their in house food is much better in quality, and they keep it up.

Wait staff very nice. Chairs were filthy. Dining glasses mismatched and were dirty, had to ask them to replace several of them. Napkins had dried food on them. Food was fine.

Food quality is not good. I gave 2 stars only for big hall for parties. But if you are planning to enjoy food, not the right place to go.

Horrible service. The host (the lady who manages ) is rude to her customers. She is just from another realm. Made our event so unpleasant infront of my vendor and guests. The workers however are bunch of thieves. Be careful from them they will steal food.
