Stopped in for a quick morning bite and coffee and was totally blown away. My wife's chocolate bomboloni was so delicate with the most creamy chocolate filling. I had a mortadella sandwich with artichoke and frisee and would recommend. Cappuccino was spot on, and my wife enjoyed her latte. I plan to stop in tomorrow for some pastries to take away.

This is a favorite place to stop when we visit the area. It’s so quaint and the pastry and dessert cases are filled with so many tempting items, it’s hard to decide! Stag is friendly and parking is pretty easy to find.

Delightful European style cafe. Very elegant and yet, low-key. Ideal for a spring or warm summer morning. The coffee is excellent and the pasties, are an experience! I had a scrumptious pecan and pistachio torte and it was very gratifying for rest of the day. I want to go back and try more. This place is a gem. Larkspur is fortunate to have Emporio Rulli.

Scrumptious breakfast pastries matched up with coffee/latte etc. What's not to like? Additional extensive selection of cakes and pastries. Very original and a good "corner cafe" vibe!

After an afternoon of hiking in Marin, my youngest daughter was enraged, so I decided to calm her down with coffee and pastries. It worked. We stumbled onto Emporio Rulli and I really wanted to love this place but something felt off. The food was very good and the service was stellar but the store was so empty that it felt strange to be virtually the only people there. Eventually, a few others stopped in but with the amount of pastries and cakes prepared, it appeared they were all ready for business and the customers didn’t come in that day. Often crowded, lunch items are just ok but the pastries and the biscotti are the headline here. Expensive yes, but very much worth it. Service was good as was the cappuccino!

On the glass case cake side the ladies have gracious and lovely service BUT on the cafe coffee bar side the men are very rude yikes .... ,, But the cakes are lovely and the best panettoni

The quality of the pastries was good...its just that some were stale, so not the fault of the baker. Yes, I also choose more off the beaten path type foods, but if you cant keep them fresh, then make more or dont sell at all.

It has been sad to witness the slow, steady decline of what was once the jewel of Larkspur, worthy of being profiled in The Atlantic Magazine and being compared to the great pastry shops of Italy. Now, the physical space is embarrassing to bring anyone to: taped-up seat cushions, peeling dirty paint, and decaying wood. The ordering process is badly designed, the staff is mostly unfriendly, and frequently gets orders wrong, forgets items, and certainly won't bother to tell you that your coffee is ready. There is definitely some kind of culture problem with the workforce; they all seem unhappy. The espresso drinks are pretty mediocre. The store also occupies two more storefronts than it uses for the public, making the block look more run down and abandoned than necessary. The restaurant does provide a nice public space with tables on the sidewalk, it's too bad it kills the vibe with the boarded up window look. The food and pastries remain mostly very good to excellent.

The Bastone (a butter puff pastry with apricot jam and pine nuts) I got was fantastic, very flaky layers filled with crunchy nuts and mildly sweet jam. Now the outrageous part. I ordered a ham and egg croissant and a goat cheese quiche and the waitress offered to warm them up. Only later did I realize (I had them to-go) that they were warmed up in a panini press. You hear it right, a panini press. I was flabbergasted. According to other users' photos, this is simply how they warm up food. All I can say is that this is extremely unprofessional. To make it worse, they are also overpriced - I paid almost $10 for each of them.

Probably one of the worst panettone I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was so stale that we couldn’t even finish a slice — it was like eating cardboard. For 50 dollars I would’ve expected a much higher quality.

poor service of the same location called GR Chocolate Collection at the SFO airport in San Francisco as after buying coffee and croissants for my family and my sister’s kids they refused us to serve a small glass of water and the chinese look alike woman demanded more money which is not customer friendly and i would practically give zero in service
