My absolute favorite donut shop in the area (and top 3 of all time). I'm not a local, so I really don't understand the craze about Round Rock donuts. Monster donuts are WAY better, less expensive, and have more variety across the board. I wish they'd open something closer to me, but every now and then, I'll make the trek over to get a big box. In fact, I might do that within the next week, because I'm constantly craving them.
The donut holes were definitely our favorite, especially the cinnamon flavor. Party in your mouth! As for the donuts, we tried the glazed - they were light and fluffy, and not overly greasy; and the chocolate iced - good, but we’ve had better. We also tried the cinnamon cake donut - it had a perfect texture, soft and cakey, not too dense. If you’re in the mood for donuts, these are close and convenient and definitely better than grocery donuts. I would give them a try.
Great selection of high quality fresh donuts, pastries and kolache’s! Very friendly folks, quick service and always with a smile! Love the donut holes, melt in your mouth. The kolaches are excellent, just right ratio of meat to dough. The croissant sandwiches are great breakfast or lunch sandwich! Highly recommended!
Fun place to get donuts with kids! Lots of great designs and they taste good too! It's a sensory explosion. We went at 9:30 on a Saturday and they had plenty to choose from. They close at 1p. So if you go for lunch donuts you may have a limited supply.
I went to Monster Donuts for the first time with my family this morning. I went in expecting it to be your typical gimmicky mediocre donut shop, but my expectations were exceeded in every way. The staff was really friendly, the dough smells amazing, the donuts and kolaches are delicious and the prices are great. We’ll definitely make Monster Donuts a regular Saturday breakfast spot.
I really love this place. Everything is always fresh and very good. They have some really fun donuts and neat combos of items. The staff is always friendly and quick. The hardest part of coming here is not coming back every day. This is a great shop that for sure needs to be on your list of for sure stops.
The donuts here are amazing. We are new to the area and needed to find a donut spot. These are made fresh and melt in your mouth. The inside is so cozy and cute like a store front on the east coast. Can't wait to go back!
When I looked at the pics I was impressed of how different their donuts looked. You can tell because of the icing looks good quality. I had to drive 16mins away to try them out. I almost didn't. So glad I did! Hands down the best place I've been to that wasn't a chain. (I love DD and Krispy Kreme). I saw the blueberry donut and I saw chunks of blueberry! That's when you know this is a legit place when they make their icing out of fruit. That's real baking! The red velvet is good and I'm picky about this flavor cause most of the time it taste fake. She put cherry icing on top of it. 😍 Apple fritter is very good! Soft but crisp taste. I've noticed it's the smaller shops that have great skill at making donuts. Yum! If you're outta town and visiting. YOU GOTTA STOP BY! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. THEY ARE VERY DEDICATED DONUT OWNERS. AND THE PLACE IS CLEAN. Definitely coming back!
Love this donut shop! Their prices are extremely reasonable and their donuts are outstanding! I crave their cinnamon donut holes all the time! The store is extremely clean and their service is always spectacular. The only downfalls are that there isn’t much seating and they’re closed on Mondays. Otherwise, they’re fantastic!

I love this place it seriously has the best all around donuts, usually donut places will have either good donuts and trash kolaches but monster can truly do both! The staff is super sweet and the prices are fair. The bread and pastry they use are so soft and airy, not cakey at all. I highly recommend Monster Donuts❤️

Oh. My. Gawd. I have seen this place for a long time, but I'm always weary of trying new donut places because they usually suck. Not this place!! Finally tried it yesterday and their donuts were so delicious I had to go back today! So many selections, choices I don't really see anywhere else. Good customer service. Highly highly recommend!!

We love this place! Their kolaches are the best IMO. When my kids were younger, they enjoyed the different designs and holiday themed donuts… honestly even as teenagers they still do 😜 I love that I can pop in quickly and get treats for my staff as well. Very friendly and patient staff too!
If you would like to ruin all other donut shops for the foreseeable future by all means go here. All other donuts in the area taste mediocre after getting donuts here. Also their breakfast stuff is pretty solid. Staff is always super nice.
Excellent donut experience all the donuts tasted great and the employees there were very friendly, kind and helpful. They gave us a sample of cinnamon bites. They were phenomenal.
If you like smiles go- (the whole staff work so well with one another) If you like Apple Fritters- definitely a must opportunity (best I've ever had)- Our Kids enjoy, the quality, and the kolaches are so good. This place is worth the price. Blessings over everyone
The best and freshest donuts I’ve ever had. My inner nerd was amazed at the decor and trinkets they have displayed. Also very friendly!! Highly recommend!!
Fun little donut shop. My kids absolutely love coming here and getting to pick one of the colorful donuts with sprinkles, or a little ring, or a sugar character. Tons of variety in decorations keeps them excited. They also have kolache and sandwich things, but the donuts are definitely the star of the show.
We love the doughnuts and kolaches - they are dangerously good and there is a great selection to cater for all tastes! Staff are always professional and helpful and I have to comment on the extra safety precautions that they are taking in the current pandemic environment - personally I really appreciate the effort to keep their customers and staff safe and healthy. Would have no hesitation to highly recommend Monster Donuts!
Very nice inside. Calm and clean 😊 was my first time going and I got donuts holes. My son loved the chocolate sprinkled donut holes and the glazed were good too! Light and fluffy. I would definitely go back and try other things.
I am not a donut fan, but enjoy these. The texture is always great. Good crunchy exterior and soft in the middle. Surprisingly the cake donuts are really good. Sucker for red velvet and these are fantastic. Family enjoys anytime we pick up on a weekend.
a small business that I'm always excited to visit. the kolaches and premium donuts are my favorites and they're always nice, fluffy, and fresh. the owners are very nice too. I'm going to be moving soon but I'm still planning on going out of my way to keep coming back
The donuts are surprisingly good. They taste very fresh. Had the red velvet cake donut and could easily eat 2 more. Donut holes are dangerously good too. Glad I finally stopped in. Will definitely do so again.
We just moved to Leander and decided to try the donuts shop closest to our house. We found Monster Donuts and we are very pleased we decided to try it. The donuts taste fresh unlike other places where you can taste the rancid oil. They are fluffy and soft and just the right amount of sweetness. We highly recommend it.
Went on Saturday morning for the advertised monster donuts. Specifically something cute for the kids. No cute donuts. Just plain typical donuts. Only one donut with two gummy worms. UPDATE: Return visit!! They had the donuts. I imagine they sell out quick. They use little toy rings for the decorations.
We love Monster Donuts! This review is long over due. We have been coming here for years and go a couple times of month. Make sure to go early because this is well known donut shop in the area. Sometimes we’ve gone after 11 and it’s already slim pickin. Staff is quick in moving the line and always friendly. I really love getting a heated ham and cheese croissant in addition to our dozen donuts.
Very cool donut shop. Has a whole vibe. Looking at the Totoro drawing on the wall, nomming on some tasty donuts and kolaches, to music from My Neighbor Totoro. Kids got donuts with kitty cats, rainbows, gummy worms, while I had a Bavarian cream filled éclair, and a couple jalapeño sausage kolaches. All pretty good. Selection seemed limited, but really. They had everything you'd need. Service is swift, building is a small slip in the shopping center. The seating is neat, but limited, and the gender-neutral bathroom was clean. Special call out - the cinnamon donut holes. 👌🏼👏🏻
The donuts were tasty and had a nice variety of selections. Next time my granddaughter is in town I'll be sure to visit again. She'll love the kid friendly decorations on some of the donuts. Do think they need a website but everything else was above expectations for a neighborhood donuts shop. Also like the unique style of the place.
Some of the best kolaches in Leander/Cedar Park area! The bread is to die for! Must go with the jalapeño kolache, always soft and best bread to ingredients ratio! Lol They're just so good! My family and I have tried MANY kolache places and this one tops our list. Their donuts are also amazing and their staff are all so friendly!
Some of the better donuts I've had, especially the old fashioned ones. Has a nice vibe and atmosphere and even has an Animal Crossing version of their place showing on their TV!

The jalapeno sausage kolaches also have jalapenos backed into the bread next to the sausage. Solid choice for a spicy breakfast. The cake and old fashioned donuts we're fantastic. Really looking forward to more!

Love this place! I wish I took some photos. It's such a fun and interesting donut shop. My kids love to go there and pick out which donuts they like. The most recent trip my son picked a dinosaur chocolate, and my daughter got a pink princess donut. They have monster figurines scattered throughout the store. They are always friendly, and look family owned. Monster donuts is a great place to visit if you want to try something different from the big chain donut shops that don't have much character. Oh and I can't forget, their kolaches are fantastic too. I personally love the cheesy jalapeno.
Truly the best donut shop I’ve found in the area. I moved to NYC and my first stop when I visit family is monster donut for an old fashioned and a spinach puff pastry. The spinach is flaky and dream-worthy. I know that sounds crazy. It’s a donut shop. But don’t forget your greens.

Today was my first day to try Monster Donuts. I ordered the old fashioned plain and chocolate cake. They were both delicious. They are super moist and soft with a nice crunch from the sugar glaze. I don't think I can go back to regular donuts after going here.
The jalapeño and cheese sausage kolaches (klobasneks) are amazing and come in two different sizes. They also have this thing called a “spinach monster” that is really great too if you like creamy spinach combined with flaky pastry. If donuts are more your style, their maple donuts are really good, but the strawberry or blueberry ones are flavors that will blow your mind. I’d pass on the old-fashioned though (it is intensely overly sweet and doesn’t 100% hit the mark of a true old-fashioned). If you don’t arrive right when everything comes out, don’t worry; they ask you if you’d like to have it warmed up! It seems more like a place that you grab & go, although they do have a some chairs and a table (we always get ours to go and then enjoy at home). The cute factor of this place is also something to note — It is definitely somewhere that a kiddo would enjoy picking a donut out from.

1st time visit and it was good! The large kolache with jalapenos, sausage and cheese was very good, heated just right and very tasty. The organic coffee was a nice surprise and it went very well with the kolache. Next visit will get small Kolache, coffee and what looks to be a very large and tasty apple fritter

Went first thing the morning of November 14th and they were limited in their donut selection. Tried to order 2 different items (crème filled donuts and red velvet cake) which they said were not going to be ready for a while.. (no exact time was given in case I wanted to come back) which is quite a bummer! If they need to have a limited menu from 6-7am that might be important for them to expose for customers.
I don’t know how this place is still in buisness. The donuts are good but they are ALWAYS closed. I don’t remember the last time they were open. It’s like the mangers are tired and don’t want to be open? That’s not how you run a business. Beyond frustrating I hope they go out of business and put a new place that will actually stay open.
