Very good, one of the best places to eat on campus. I ordered the wrong thing one time accidentally, and they changed it for me with no charge. It's one of the quicker places to get your food usually too
The food was delicious, it was ready quickly, and the portion size was great. Also, they offer vegetarian and vegan versions of several dishes which I really appreciate. I will definitely go again and try other menu items!
Update 11-29-22. The last time I ate here it was simply not too good. Today, the food was back to being as I had come to expect. Spicy Chicken over Rice. Two thumbs up...although I still don't love the lettuce?
In my opinion this is the best food you can get on UB campus. The 5 stars is only comparing it to other campus restaurants. So I highly recommend getting the spicy chicken over rice.
AK Korean Comfort food, 짱! It's just as the restaurant's name says; it is comfort food. I was missing home food and just one dish from here, bruhhh Can I talk about the portion sizes? Absolutely great Good bank for your buck Ambience as well. It's comfortable I would appreciate, though, if the extra spicy option for the spicy chicken and rice were actually more spicy 🌶 The Kimchi as well I feel like if I didn't ask for the extra spicy option, I would have had no spice at all

Consistent good taste. Service is expeditious.

Austin’s Kitchen only Takes About 10 Mins and I Enjoyed the Korean Army Stew and Japchae noodles! It would Be Nice to See More Dishes Added like Jjangjang Noodles or Gimbap! I Reccomend the Soondubu Soup Dish with Some Rice.
You can order online and walk over (~10 min) to not have to wait. It's not fantastic or a great deal, but it's some of the better food on campus

Yummy but they are so stingy with the beef :( paying $3.50 extra for 4 slices of beef bulgogi :((

Speed is their priority. Order online and pick up is very convenient and fast. Quality is comprised. They don't even dice the spam or stir fry with the kimchi fried rice like before. Now you will find spam sitting on top of the fried rice. A bit stingy with the kimchi too, only very few pieces in the rice.
Ordered here twice and it could be better. First time ordering was a while ago and I did not enjoy the dish, however, coming back I ordered the bulgolgi and it was decent. Only complain with it was the rice was too wet for my taste.
UPDATE: They added an additional item to their menu (have to scroll), spicy chicken, making 7 choices. The spicy chicken comes with a fried egg, which is new so I asked for no egg. It did taste a bit different and a little less spicy than the place before but that's ok. It wasn't bad, they added their own twist to it. I do prefer the prrvipus spicy chicken more, but this one was good. Still giving this 3 stars though as the menu is still limited. The food was ok, but very few options. The previous place had more variety and I miss the spicy chicken dish they had (dak bulgolgi). I instead went to their equivalent of the previous place's Korean BBQ beef dish. It tasted good and was quick, but it is the only dish I would eat there. I wish they had more dishes, especially chicken and spicier dishes.
I think for a campus eatery, it's good, and for Buffalo, good Korean style food. I had the kimchi rice bowl with chicken. I was disappointed with the side of kimchi i ordered for $1. They give you literally a tablespoon of kimchi.

It is not authentic Korean, but more Americanized Korean. That amount of kimchi was $1.5 and it was so-so. Egg in the spicy tofu soup was raw and wasn't fully cooked until I finished it. Flavor was too strong with lots of MSG taste. All I was able to taste from the spicy chicken was gochujang, which was not to my liking. They can try harder to improve the taste. The price is the most critical part I think. With the same amount of money, I can get double the amount of food portion from dancing chopsticks or youngchow. If they use fresh and good ingredients, they should let students know. Otherwise it is overpriced for students.

The fried chicken platter is dry and overcooked, and pricier than dancing chopsticks next door…. Would not recommend…. This is the first week of business even idk how this place will do in the future
The food ranges from alright to good, but a number of problems made me choose to not return. 1. They cook/heat with a microwave. There was a noticeable decrease in quality, specifically in the kimchi bokkeum-bap, and I noticed that when it’s ordered, they put some in a bowl, put in in the microwave, and serve it. The difference is noticeable, and I’d expect more for over $10. 2. I just ordered their donkatsu, and the cabbage salad was not included. There was no mention of it, and no modification to the price. With cutting corners and a lack of honest customer service, I won’t be going back.
I rarely give out reviews on restaurants unless they are either incredibly good or terrible. In this case I think Austin's Kitchen is terrible. There are only 7 dishes on their menu, I have tried 2 of them and both are very very disappointing. They are all simple dishes that you can easily made at home with the Korean hot pepper sauce that you can buy in Asian supermarket. Their dishes are all very blend and simple and nothing fancy, I would think that if they have such limited items on the menus then the food should be all special, but both of the dishes I've tried are mediocre at best. It is also really salty and the portion is so small that did not even make me half full. With that being said, the price in this place is way too over priced, for such simple dish and lack of option I would not pay over $10. They made you think that you are only spending less at the beginning because all the add ons (include proteins) cost extra. You need to prepare to spent $5 more on top of the listing price if you wish to get a traditional Korean dish. That make the average price become around $15+ which I do not is worth it at all. I only make it 2 star because their ingredients are fresh and I respect that. Overall the neighboring restaurant in commons are all cheaper than this one and has better food/ larger portion. And Austin Kitchen only have overpriced mediocre Korean food.

their rice recently has been so horrible, its brown and blackish sometimes and it’s not like you can pick it out cuz it’s literally the whole thing. i even told them once cuz you can see it outside of the container. they told me oh it’s cuz its from the bottom of the rice cooking. I get maybe brown but blackish hell no. their food is good but please fix your rice. learn from young chow or something. cuz the rice is stall and so bad. and theres no way out of 10 times i order 10 times i get brown rice.
Overpriced and not authentic. Portions are small, and the food didn’t taste good. Definitely won’t be coming back.
