The best chicken in town. I’d go there over and over again. Love the food, staff and the prices. Do not miss if you are in Little Rock.
This place was fantastic! Comfort food at its finest. You can tell it’s fresh and homemade. The fried chicken, cabbage, and mashed potatoes were all delicious. I’m very happy I didn’t skip out on dessert either - blueberry cheesecake! The restaurant was clean, well-priced, and not to mention, run by staff and owners who are incredibly nice. You get treated like family here. I highly recommend this place to eat!
This place is a jewel hidden in a plaza in the middle of Little Rock, but don't be fooled the service in here is outstanding, the food is real, modestly priced, and tastes just like something your family would make for a big dinner. If lived local I would eat here every week.
This place REALLY is country cookin'!!! The food is SO good and you get a LOT of it for a great price!! We'll definitely be back!!
I don’t know why I have not heard of this place before! This was the best plate food I have had in this area. I had the fried chicken mashed potatoes, green beans, and Mexican cornbread and it was all perfectly done and amazing at a reasonable price. We are definitely coming back friendly folks in the server line. Wonderful food clean loved it!
Excellent restaurant! Comfort food in cafeteria style. We had the pork chops. Also the butterscotch pie was delicious. The staff is great, very polite, and helpful. The owners are very non-pretentious and respectful. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like country food.
We sure do love this wonderful place. We live abbot 60 mile from them but any time we come to Little Rock we schedule our trip s so we can stop by Bobby’s for lunch. Mr Bobby and his crew always are super sweet, friendly and always wanting to make sure our visit is satisfactory. The verity of food choices is so wonderful and freshly cooked. If you’re missing your Mom’s or Grannies old fashion cooking this is about the closest place you’re gonna find around. Don’t get much better than this place. ❤️
Bobby's has had the best southern cafeteria country style food since opening. The service is always great. Once you've been to Bobby's for lunch a few times and seen how consistently packed the house his, you'll understand why the atmosphere is what it is. We're all here to sit next to folks from the area and eat great tasting food! Enjoy! Going to Bobby's is always a good decision!
We were traveling through coming back from Mountain View Arkansas. Heading to our home state of Texas. Started craving fried chicken googled it and Bobby‘s country cooking came up. It was delicious seasoned perfect. The okra was just crispy enough and you could tell it was fresh homemade. You grab a tray, pick out what food you would like, they fix your plate right there in front of you, quick and fast, Then when we got to the end of the line , he said pick out a pie, our eyes got even bigger. The pies were just as good as the fried chicken. Wished we lived around here. This would definitely be a weekly stop for us. Good luck. God bless Bobby and his lovely wife of almost 41 years!😍We enjoyed your hospitality!! if your missing home cooking, stop by Bobby’s country cooking because it is delicious!!
The food was amazing. They have the prettiest fried chicken that I've seen in years. Everything was great! The chicken could have used a tad bit more season, but it was a quick fix with a dash of salt. The beans and okra were so seasoned! We were on vacation in Memphis, but we drove to Litrle Rock and got something to eat. I recommend this place 💯%. Very clean rest room!
This restaurant is an excellent place for a plate lunch. The food is fresh and had a home taste. Service is quick and steady. The fried chicken was crispy, mashed potatoes were served temperature hot, and the beans were not salty. The locally owned business has different specials on various days. They serve a variety of vegetables. You will have to visit to try one of the many desserts offered. If you are not happy with any of your food, let them know so they can have a chance to make it right.
Locally owned small business. Only open for lunch (10:30 - 2:00). Menu is cafeteria style with rotating specials. Good food. Lovely staff.
Very small restaurant, but big on flavor! Fried catfish, navy beans ,all the food was delicious, and cooked "down home style". However, I skipped the fried okra, because it was almost burnt, and was told hard as rocks by my dinner companion. The rolls had a thick burn on the bottom, but yummy on top. Don't pass on sweet tea. For 2 lunch plates, and 2 teas,it was $30. The tables are all really close together, so hurry up and eat and get up. Good experience all around though.
It was 0 wait to get our food and there was plenty of it. The food was spectacular but it wasn't at all bad , a little bland for my taste otherwise no complaints
Website menu is confusing. Went on a Friday and 4 of 5 entrees were fried. Friday menu on website says pot roast, pork chop and meat loaf. Food was tasty and portions were plentiful, and is priced reasonably.
I really wanted to like this place… I haven’t found a lot of cafeteria style places in this area and I always love the nostalgia of it. I was happy to try new fried okra and chicken fried steak but both of them were overdone and disappointing. The cornbread was so dry, very crumbly that you could not even put butter on it without it just breaking apart and not in a good way. The cabbage was the best thing that I had and stewed cabbage is very hard to mess up! Even the sweet tea ran out before I filled my 1st cup and then I was told there was more in the other one as she pointed to the Unsweet tea. None of this was as disappointing as the conversation that I listened to while consuming this food between what appears to be the older white male owner and his crew of Hispanic women. The way this man was speaking to them was absolutely racist… I mean… the way that he was speaking to them about one woman being the star and princess of the English class, and the rest of them needed to be taking notes from her on how to “have their English better” and what they needed to do was so disgusting. It was awkward, you could tell he was trying to make jokes and there was enough of the language barrier that the women weren’t fully understanding the colloquialism that he was using and then he would continue digging at it until somebody translated it into Spanish and she made enough of a fake laugh to appease him and then he continued back with how they needed to take more classes. Just a really disappointing experience and probably good 2 to 3 dollars over what the price point should be.
