Little Rock’s best kept secret when it comes to seafood. I only ever get the fried oysters here, but my dining companion has nothing but praise for their shrimp po-boys. It’s nothing fancy, you order at the counter and seat yourself, but everything comes out fast and you can’t beat the prices, especially for seafood. If you’re craving fried oysters in particular, I can’t recommend anything better, really.

We visited Lazy Pete’s for the first time on a Monday for lunch. The place was busy with a lot of walk-in to-go pickups and had many people seated at he various booths and tables. It’s a small and cozy place, not too loud even though it was nearly full with patrons. Orders are take at the cash register by the friendly and helpful staff at this family-run restaurant. If you want some good home style catfish, this place was excellent. My catfish dinner was plentiful, with the catfish filets cooked just right. The fresh cut fries were hot and crispy. The fried shrimp dinner was excellent, too. Prices were quite reasonable.

Lazy Pete’s is one of those spots you try once and immediately want to come back to. The wings are absolutely delicious—crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. And the po’ boys? Easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Fresh bread, perfectly seasoned seafood, and generous portions. On top of all that, everything is super well priced. You get quality food without breaking the bank, which is rare these days. Whether you’re grabbing lunch or dinner, Lazy Pete’s hits the spot every time. Great flavors, great value, and just an all-around awesome place to eat.

Exceeded expectations. Catfish, fried shrimp, fries, hush puppies and cole slaw was the meal and it was outstanding! Russell is a fine representative for your restaurant and all the staff was excellent. Highly recommend! P.S. The football player in the framed photo is Anthony Lucas who is considered the best wide receiver in Razorback history. It is the only framed picture in the restaurant.

Lazy Pete’s is one of my favorites in Little Rock. It’s a very unassuming, hole in the wall kind of place in a small strip mall. My wife and I split the crawfish po-boy (it’s easily big enough for two). She got the hand cut fries and I got the red beans and rice with a side piece of catfish. I’ve eaten here for years. Everything I’ve tried is EXCELLENT. Possibly the best fried catfish in central AR. Some of my other favorites are gumbo, soaked salad, and shrimp n grits. Very casual atmosphere. Order at the counter, pick your own seat, make your own drink, and wait for them to call out your order number.

I made 2 visits to this place. The first dinner consisted of lemon pepper (or garlic parmesan, I'm not 100% sure) wings, fries and a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was decent and the fries were pretty good. The wings were just ok though. They were cooked well but a bit lacking in flavor. The 2nd dinner was a cheeseburger and fries with a cup of red beans & rice with sausage. The fries again were really good and the burger, while slightly overcooked, was quite tasty too. The red beans dish was excellent. Probably the best I've had in a long time. Their prices are about average so I'll probably come back and try some other dishes.

Love seafood? These folks know how to cook it perfectly. The oysters were succulent and perfectly seasoned and the calamari and catfish were equally well prepared and tasty. Good sized portions. Mayonnaise coleslaw and crispy fries completed our meal. The atmosphere lacks you order at a counter and food is delivered to the table. It is a dark hole in a strip mall with few decorations. The food isn't cheap, two meals and 2 beers were $50.

Stopped in just to try a couple of items friends had recommended. I went with the shrimp and grits and also purchased fried calamari. Y'all...I made the mistake of tasting the calamari in the car. I almost ate the entire order. It's so fresh & the seasoning is better than Macaroni Grill's recipe. Now the shrimp & grits was a whole experience all by itself. There were subtle cheesy notes and the plump shrimp were cooked to perfection. The coup de grasse was the crumbled bacon that surprises you with flavorful crunchiness. My kids were hovering around me humming that they'd like one more bite. I thought y'all didn't like grits?! My only recommendation is to put your to go containers on the floorboard of your vehicle. If you set it in the seat, butter could run into the bag during transport. Happy eating!

Cute local place, with good service. Was very disappointed with the food, however. Gumbo was oily and dark (burnt)- someone doesn't know how to make a rue! Then they tried to cover for it by adding way too much hot sauce. Shrimp and oysters were marginally decent, and so was the slaw. But hushpuppies were pitiful, as were the fries- overcooked greasebombs. Never fry in the same (old) oil as the fish! We're from the Gulf Coast... still looking for a decent seafood place up here!

I have eaten here several times over the past few years, and the food has generally been very good. Today's experience will likely be my last. The fish was inedible. The pieces were mostly bread, and the the fish that was present tasted very muddy. The grits were extremely lumpy but tasted fine. I did not eat the coleslaw, choosing not to take a chance of a night filled with gastrointestinal catastrophe. I honestly threw the vast majority away. Very disappointed.
