Stopped by to pick up lunch for my daughters. Polite lady took my order for take out and I then took the drinks to my truck. Came back in and waited. I was watching YouTube for a bit then realized more time than I expected had passed. I brought it to their attention and they were quick to fix the problem. Very polite and assured that the order was fresh before they let it out. As customers we fully expect there will be occasional problems but will forgive the problems when they are recognized and resolved.
Great menu, efficient, friendly staff, and the best French dip I've had in a long time. My husband loved his Reuben, too! Clean tables and the place was not noisy. (These things are important to your "senior" clientele! 😊) I only have one teensy suggestion: the cheddar broccoli soup was not hot enough. Other than that, it was well worth the drive.
This place is amazing!! Found them when we moved here about a year ago and have been coming ever since. Great food, excellent service, never really had a bad experience!! The one time I had even a remotely less-than-exceptional experience the manager on duty Megan and her staff went above and beyond to make sure to they fixed the issue and they were so polite, professional, and genuinely sincere that I couldn’t even be upset about anything. Best experience I’ve had so far!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, food and staff are always excellent ♥️
My review is primarily based on the exceptional customer service provided by Megan. She was a "breath of fresh air" in regards to having a servitude mindset. Not a common experience at some other local restaurants. It was enough to inspire me to take the time to let the "world" know about it! Everyone is probably wondering about the food too, so here it goes. I had the club sandwich, potato salad, and a half sweet/ half un-sweet tea. The sandwich comes with wheat toast which I really enjoyed. The potato salad was very good, not too much mustard and with a hint of paprika. Definitely coming back for that. And the tea was exceptional. Yup, really that good! Love that tea.
First time here and I really enjoyed the food. I had the southwest chicken sandwich. It has avocado slices and is great. It comes with a side, so I chose steamed broccoli. I heard their Mac and cheese is awesome.
I have been here several times, and I like how consistent they are. I've tried a variety of things, and I'm never disappointed. Good value for the money, relatively fast service, fresh ingredients, and good food. My new favorite is the chicken tortilla soup in a bread bowl, it has a nice kick to it!
Love this place! Sandwiches are excellent and the sweet tea is amazing. Great service and friendly workers. Clean and organized place. Didn't wait long for my food. There is no drive through; that's not a negative, just an observation BC there is a drive up window but that is only for picking up phone/app orders.
Great food and service. Ordered the BLT A (avocado) with honey mustard instead of herbed mayo. Friend had a huge salad. Very generous portions on the salad and sandwich (bacon). Service prompt even though there were signs it could be slow due to staff shortage. Went at a time it wasn't too busy. I will be back.
Great value for our $. Yummy meat packed sandwiches and quality salad, Hard working, nice staff. They had a kitchen glitch so took very long time to get our food with hardly anyone indoors (probably fulfilling to go, doordash etc orders). But worth the wait.
The staff are always so nice, and sweet. Thats really why I choose to come back. The staff always appear happy, and cheerful on their own.
The customer service was wonderful. They even came out to the dining area where I was waiting for my takeout order and asked what I’d like to have my drink topped off very polite.
Brenda is the most patient, professional and kind manager I've ever met. Her team is awesome because they are led by example.
Brenda and her crew are doing a great job preparing tasty sandwiches and wraps for our family. We also used them to cater our last family reunion and was a hit with everyone. Picked up a couple of platters, sides, chips couple of hours before the event and easily fed 35 people.
Love this place Brenda is so awesome she has wonderful customer service, is always helpful, and cheery. I enjoy eating lunch here the customer service here is amazing plus their broccoli and cheddar soup is delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Placed a catering order and 45 minutes before set delivery I received an email that my order was cancelled by DoorDash. Called and the manager was so accommodating, fixed the issue, and delivered my order within 30 minutes!! Amazing customer service, highly recommend!
I placed an online order and mistakingly sent it to the wrong location. I was running late for work already but Brenda quickly and so politely canceled the old order and filled the new order in less than 5 minutes. She really made my day with her positive attitude! Keep up the good work McAlister Love Oak!
Wonderful food choices, can eat healthy choices with food variety. Even has healthy drink choices
Recently moved in town a month ago and I’ve been here 4 times I think and each time the service was amazing! Thank you to Julie and I can’t remember the young mans name the second visit. And a huge thank you to the GM Brenda for coaching such a great team ☺️ keep up the good work. A good team comes from good leadership.
Maggie made my day with her positivity and professionalism! I will be back!
If I could eat here everyday I woulddddd, highly recommend the pecanberry salad with the raspberry vinaigrette
Stopped in real quick, Annie helped me out she was super sweet! I have come here in the past and it was pretty awful but it was very clean and the food was great! I loved the French dip, also the manager I think she is (brown hair and glasses) came around and refilled my drink and talked with me for a little bit. She’s super sweet!
I had the greatest experience with this McAllister Deli on Pat Booker. The GM Brenda and another manager named Carolina went above and beyond in their pursuit for outstanding customer service. In a time when it feels like customer service has gone out the window, these two have proven great customer service is not dead! They corrected an issue that was made and then made sure that everything was fixed and done in the kindest manner. The owners of this Deli should be honored to have such great leaders running and representing their business!! Thank you for the hard work ladies, you’re the best!!
The cashier at the drive thru during the evening was absolutely pleasant. She was quick, respectful, and accurate. I really enjoy restaurants that are polite and respectful to their customers. It make me want to come back. Being nice to some one really can change their day. She had black hair and tattoos, give her a raise! I love the tea, bought 2 deal avocado blt and a cup of broccoli cheese soup.
Although I normally order gallons of tea twice a week, this is the BEST location. The staff and management are AMAZING! Friendly and always ready for their clientele. Been going here since day 1 and the others when needed but will drive from downtown to this location every time because of customer service. BRAVO!!!!
10/10 for the employees that were there at lunchtime today. They were so sweet and very helpful. Food was exactly as expected.
I had the new Yorker. It had been a while and I know why it's not my favorite, spicy mustard. But it was packed full of meat! I'm still in search of my ideal sandwich at McAlister's. I would love feedback. My wife's half rueben and chicken tortilla soup was fresh and steaming. The service at this Live Oak location is excellent!
Excellent location with amazing customer service Marcos knows how to treat people right. They also have a special after 5 PM. Where kids eat free. Definitely, a must try. I always recommend the tea and anything turkey. Easily accessible from the road with parking all around. We ❤️ McAlisters.
This was my first visit but not my last. Extensive, tasty menu. I had a loaded spud that was amazing. Their tea was spot on perfect! And we shared some brownie bites. The manager opened the door for us bc our hands were carrying leftovers and she was so very nice. Told her it was my first visit but we'd definitely be back. 10/10
This location has the best employees!! Annie really helped us out and Julie is just so stinking friendly!! We come here often and the food is always top notch. Only complaint would be i heard the justAspud is going away. I hope not!! Peach cheesecake was awesome
This place is the best! The employees here are very accommodating and they take care of their guests! I come here almost everyday and the employees are so sweet, like their tea! The general manager is really awesome and it shows through all the staff!
First time here and I didn't know what to order...seemed kinda pricey. Looked over the menu and saw they had a Reuben sandwich 🥪 Omg it was huge and was very good. Huge portions well worth the money. Can't wait to go back and try something else! Clean place, great staff, quick service. A MUST !
My new favorite sandwich shop!! How have I never been here my whole life? This place is baked potato heaven and the sandwichs are perfect and filling!!! Love it here, watch out world Im a better person just for eating here. All my dinning needs are fulfilled here! Try the pick 2 with the cranberry orange club sammy with the half a spud (potato) 🤤🤤🤤🤤 place is soo good its always busy busy during lunch time so beware
I heard about this place from my Pastor at CBC, so decided to check it out. I am so glad I did. Wow!, my first time here and enjoyed my relaxing experience dining in, peaceful environment with nice music playing. Young girl at the counter was nice & polite. My food was delivered to my table in a timely manner and was nice & hot; perfect! I ordered the Spicy Turkey Melt w/Mac & Cheese, a drink and don't forget the AMAZING Chocolate Cheesecake... 😋 Yummy 😋 I will definitely be returning again in the near future. Maybe try to get my family to come with me next time. 😁
Always Amazing food and service!! There has never been a negative experience, I highly recommend!!

Jacqueline was such an amazing and sweet manager. She made us feel welcome and all of our big orders were correct and we will be returning again!
The rewards, so cool. The food, so good, and plus the patio is pretty nice. Tons of tables to sit at, drive thru, and a big parking lot. Service was excellent!

I like this deli! Its a chain, but a good one. They have great gluten free and vegan fare and plenty of "normal" food as well. Their house tea blends are very good and service is typically very quick. Occasionally, they will mess up my order or take a very long time to come up with food, but they are always willing to make it right. Good place.
Bit on the pricey end, though they do have incredible kids' meal deals. Food is always fresh and their portions certainly do not disappoint. Not a huge fan of their soup selection. They seem to lack flavor and usually aren't warm enough for my liking.
Nice clean location. Established friendly. French dip was awesome. Lots of meat on the sandwich. Love going to McAlister's no matter where I am in the country
Was recently in San Antonio area so decided to check out this McAlister's for lunch. Mom and Dad had never been to one, so it was a new experience for them. I love their salads, but had never eaten inside before so I didn't know what to expect. The take out salad/delivery is the same size as when you eat in... Huge plus! I went with the Southwest Chicken salad that had avocado and added honey mustard for the dressing. I left off the tortilla strips though. Their honey mustard is more mustard than honey so it was a good blend for the salad. The salad wasn't spicy, but it was flavorful. I'd get it again. Mom had the roast beef sandwich and she said it was ok. I think next time she'll go with a roasted meat because she wasn't too keen on the roast beef being smoked. Everyone has different preferences. Dad got the Spicy turkey sandwich, but they were out of baguettes, so he got it on a ciabatta instead. I think he will go that route from now on! All in all, pretty good meal, big portions, and you can get gluten free options! We'll be returning!
Service and food need improvement. Jason's Deli and Panera bread may be a better choice. Even 4 Kings is a good choice. Anyway, only one way but up...
I ordered a chicken Cesar salad which is my favorite choice in salads. This one had poor quality romaine and there was MORE CHICKEN than there was romaine lettuce! The dressing was not bad. It's hard…

My food was great! Had managers special with southwest salad and 1/2 club sandwich. It was excellent and super filling. Only issue was the place was packed on sunday and we ended up having to clean our own table so we could sit down. The server was polite and quick. I believe they were shorthanded that day - there was a girl working the counter and cleaning the tables who looked disheveled and overworked. The place was a bit too loud. Worth coming back to on a different day of the week.
Food is always good!!. However cleanliness is not a priority here. It’s currently 2:15 pm (after the lunch rush) and all the tables had crumbs, paper and or liquids on them. Seats pulled out etc. After ordering.. we asked the young lady at the counter if someone could please clean a table off and the response we got was “I’ll get it done as soon as I can” 💁🏽♂️
I've been coming here for years, sometimes three times a week and the quality and consistency has declined a lot, it's sad because I used to love McAllister. Yesterday I came around 3pm and it took them 20 mins, yes 20 mins to take my order. I was the only one in line. It seemed to be only two workers and they were both in the back making orders. The gentleman kept apologizing for the delay which I totally understand and get. No blame is on those two hardworking individuals but this is more and more common when I visit. I hope they can hire more workers soon. Also, the lack of consistency has been declining for the last year. When I order for the pickup window I'm always having to go inside to get forgotten napkins, spoons, forks..etc sometimes even forgetting sides. When I do eat in the tables are sticky there's trash everywhere and the AC seems to be out because im sweating while in eating. For the price I pay I think I'll start venturing to other establishments. Please please please bring back the old mcalister's:(
The food is good. Only my second time eating here. But my sandwich had a strand of hair in it. 🤢 so I had it remade. No silverware came with our soup and mac and cheese. Then they forgot our chips. Then I had to remind them. And the restaurant itself needs a little more cleaning. The table we sat at was the cleanest. The floors need to be swept and mopped. Idk maybe we were just there at the wrong time where there was no one to keep the floor and tables clean. But it also wasn’t as busy. Good food just don’t like how we waited about 30 minutes for two sandwiches, cup of soup and Mac and cheese.
Had to wait and it was not busy yet at 4 20 pm. It took some 18minutes to o get my to go order. They were nice but took so long. Would be nice to see help on the kitchen wear hair coverings and front counter help handle money and food without washing hands. They are normally better and faster. I'll try them again still good food.
Food was good. Sunday at noon is a terrible time to go... You'd think they would be prepared for the lunch rush, but there were only 2 people total in the back at 12:15! The table behind us, half their table didn't get their food until the others had already finished. My hubs food was left sitting on the counter and I had to go up and get it with a To go box, since we were already done. By 1:15, a crew had finally arrived.
I told the woman 3 times that I wanted mayonnaise instead of the oil and vinegar. Simple right? She kept mentioning it but didn't do it. Then there was no fruit after it was rung up. Simple job. She avoided me after that. Way to take responsibility. The receipt said Lillian. She was a dyed blonde. Just went recently and a woman making the food was coughing with her mouth open. This place has gone to he'll. Need better management that actually manages. Like no one has responded to this review.
Loved McAlisters in our last state - this location is hit or miss. Too frequently we get dirty dishes or utensils :(. Each time the call of the potato or sweet tea pulls me back - but about 50% of the time I swear its my last visit! But on this trip - food was all correct & plates were clean! It was a win. The spud max (baked potato with cheese, black olives, green onions, ham & turkey) is really good. I usually opt for a “choose 2:” with half a potato & the New Yorker sandwich. This great bite has pastrami & corned beef, I switch the Swiss to provolone & add lettuce & tomato. When it’s made well, you will love it! Don’t waste your $ on the ro-tel & chips. Salads & sweet tea are great too. Decent lunch stop
I think McAllisters has some of the best salads and sandwiches around. My favorites are the Savanna chopped salad and the Reuben sandwich. My husband loves the club sandwiches (though he misses t…
I got the half sandwich and veggie spud with chicken. The half sandwich was itty bitty but it tasted fine. The spud was pretty gross. The chicken was so bland and had a rubbery texture. The combination of ingredients in the spud was awful and I regret buying it. I got the half sweet tea which tasted fine. The inside of the restaurant appears clean but since my order wasn’t ready when I arrived, I sat down at one of the booths. The booth had some crumbs on the seat but the table was otherwise clean. The restaurant had a very strange smell that I couldn’t pinpoint. There were two people up front at the registers. One was the cashier and I’m not sure what the purpose of the other girl was but I think it was to run the food to the tables. I thought it was strange that she wasn’t cross-trained on the cash register. My order was going to take about 5-10 mins per the girl at the cash register so I sat down. After 15 minutes, I go back up to the register, and she unfortunately has forgotten I was there waiting for my food. I would not return and would not recommend. :(
Mediocre service. Really Lacking in management. Employees weren’t rude but they were just wondering around back and forth as if they didn’t want to be there and not being attentive to food quality. Broccoli soup was cold, no dressing served with salad and no pickle spear either with club sandwich. Place is really lacking some maintenance as well. Booths torn, restrooms haven’t been serviced in days. All this store really needs is some good management and some direction and it could be a great sandwich place.
Well the club sandwich was good as it's ever been. However, the place was not clean from the dining room to the restrooms. I'll not return to this location because I fear the kitchen can't be close behind. There were too many employees just standing around not actively doing anything to improve conditions. Management must accept full responsibility for the facilities conditions. Customers likely disrespect this store by the damages in the bathroom and lobby because the store doesn't show a sense of pride. The staff was kind in its service.
Has brown avocado on sandwich, bacon could break a tooth and potato salad had a black rotten piece in them hidden by the sauce covering it. Puke worthy Not to mention I waited almost 10 minutes before any worker addressed me at all
The food is always good but the place is never clean and the service could use some improvement. I’ve given them chance after chance especially with every place being understaffed but today we ate in restaurant and everything was great… until I ordered a to go order for my MIL at 1:15 and my order was supposed to be ready at 1:30. We stood at the window to wait and then finally sat down near the counter. We watched time and time as they called out names for to go orders. Finally at 1:50 my husband asked where our food was and they stuck it at the drive through window even though I selected to pick up at the counter. So now my MIL has to eat cold food!
Food was subpar for the price, (2 sandwiches, 2 sodas and one tiny cup of mac = $41.00). Tasted like something I could've easily made at home. The staff was friendly and place was clean but I think Subway would've been a lot cheaper and tasted better.🤷♀️
Cross-contamination. First few times I've gone the food was good but last time my chicken Caesar wrap tasted strongly of tuna and I'm allergic to tuna. They definitely did not clean their prep surfaces or utensils between orders. Won't be going back as I can't trust them to be consistent with cleaning. Food would be great if employees were consistent.
I typically look forward to McAllister’s because the food is always fresh, but that was not the case for my recent delivery order. My spud was old and our jalapeño crunch sandwiches were cold. The side pickle was just thrown in with the sandwich (instead of being in a separate plastic wrap/bag) so the bread was soggy. We were also missing straws and a bag of chips. Disappointing to say the least, especially when you’re paying $13-15+/meal. I can’t even blame the GrubHub delivery driver because the order arrived in a timely manner.
This was one of the poorest restaurant experiences we've had in quite some time. Our experience may be limited to this location, and hopefully so, as it was substandard at best. We haven't been to a McAlister's in a few years, but remember it feeling more like a fast deli than a true fast food establishment. They were out of ketchup. Completely. They didn't have any soda, limited to water and tea. The kids "pretzel hot dog" was not a pretzel hot dog, but really mini hot dog bites with a doughy coating more reminiscent of a corn dog. It also tasted stale and gross. We ended up tossing the hot dog bites and going to Chipotle down the road. The adults ordered salads, which were accurate to their menu description. Nothing to write home about, but also not bad. There were no trash cans in the entire restaurant. We had to ask the server/checkout/staff person behind the counter if we wanted to throw away any of the prepackaged utensils and straw wrappers that were slowly filling our table. On that note: Why are we using prepackaged utensils and napkins at a deli!?!? Another sign it has become a truly fast food establishment. I would say that the one employee we could see, who was doing all the jobs save for cooking/prepping food, was helpful and understanding to McAlister's shortcomings. She was clearly being spread way too thin in her role, but still found the strength to apologize for the inadequate situation. Lastly, the restrooms were disgusting. Just unclean and not maintained. Do better.
This place has gone way down hill the last few months. I ordered take out at the counter and it took over 30 min. When I got my food it wasn't even in boxes, but instead it was all smashed together in a tiny clear plastic bag. The sandwiches were on the bottom getting squished and when I opened a sandwich, a pickle rolled out because it was placed on the very outside of the sandwich wrapper (again no boxes). Mac n cheese containers were barely half full, sandwiches were much smaller than they used to be with poorer quality bread too. Not worth the money anymore. It used to be a lot nicer with real dishes and silverware when you dine in, not anymore! Smaller portions and increasing prices.
Food is tasty but way over priced for the amount that you actually get. I do not recommend coming here. The employees are nice
Employees are kind and helpful, but I will never come back to this restaurant again. There is no heat in the building and according to employees it has been broken for the last two years. It is currently 49 degrees outside and feels the same temperature in the building. I am highly disappointed bc I really like McAlister’s Deli and this one is close to my house. Everyone including the employees are wearing coats and jackets.
Food has no flavor. Had to ask for jalapeños the only spicy sauce they had was Tabasco sauce. If you like plain Jane then come here I spend around $50 on our food and I left regretting it because the food just didn’t have flavor. Sorry but that was my deal breaker will probably not be coming back.
The cucumbers in my salad were frozen, my sandwich was put together very messy, and I didn't get any silverware with my pickup order. Let's do better.
Serious shrinkflation occurring at this place. The only sandwich that was worth the $12 was the pastrami on rye. Our pick 2 sandwiches were the size of kiddie meals. We spent over $80 and were still hungry. I got two thin pieces of roast beef on my tiny sandwich. Everything was fresh, just too small. The pickles must be sliced in eighths not quartered. Never seen such skinny pickles. What a joke. The staff are very nice but honestly next time we’re just going to Texas Roadhouse because at least then we know we can order cheap steaks for $15 and not leave hungry.
I ordered this evening through Uber Eats. The package was well secured and all my items were there. Tell me why I paid $13+tax for the pick 2 and the half of my sandwich was the size of a mini croissant. And of course there was a ton of spring mix on it to make it look like a lot. My sugar cookie was larger than the sandwich and bc of that there was hardly any of the chicken salad. The cup of potato soup was small but I guess that’s to be expected with the inflation. This isn’t my first time here and I’ve had larger chicken salad sandwiches even the half. $13 is a lot for only 2 items and those items being minimal in size. I get raising prices but you’re also downsizing on the portions while making 2 times by shorting the customer on food and money.
Every time we come here they give us just a little bit of potato salad. This time my husband went back and showed them and she says they have to weigh it and that's all they are allowed to give out. Then for the kids meal they didn't have the little cookie. So we asked for a chc cookie to be substituted they said no. Also they were out of big cups. The manager not cust. Friendly at all. We won't be back. We keep giving them chances Sigh
I always love this place their sweet tea and food. I was seriously disappointed with the sandwich I received to go. There was hardly any meat at all on the sandwich. It’s like they put a little in the middle and went with it. For the price they charge for the sandwich, it was disappointing. More than likely will not be visiting with this location anymore.
Half of a sandwich, a bowl of soup, and a half and half tea was over $17... absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. The sloppy packaging of the food was mind blowing, and the quantity of food to cost ration is way off. They have pretty decent food, and the broccoli cheddar soup I had was pretty good, but the price will be the reason I don't go back.
Good was awesome! I really liked it but the service from the front end was absolutely horrible. We walked in from a company dine in and yes it was a group of us. I heard the remarks of “ yeah no” “it’s one ticket” one girl making ugly faces while serving our drinks. Cashier had to ask pull shift manager only to tell him that our ticket was one ticket and he told her that’s fine to help us and she said well I just wanted to tell you before I help them. If that was a real problem for her… the manager was very friendly and nice. She welcomed us back. But the workers there were not friendly. Shift manager was friendly and refilled our drinks.
I ordered a southwest chicken and avocado salad. But it was not exactly what i asked for. Seasoned grilled chicken, roasted corn, poblano and black bean relish, red onion, tomato, cheddar-jack, blue corn tortilla strips, avocado on mixed greens. with Chili Lime Vinaigrette dressing . But the salad did not have the roasted corn ,did not have the poblano and black bean relish. kind of disappointed if you ordered something from the menu and when you get the plate, none of the ingredients are in it. ( The only thing it had was the chicken cheese avocado onions tortilla strip tomato . That was it !
Decent eats, above average service, but honestly priced for something much better. Nice to note that customers have the option to order table side through their application. Would recommend trying Scholtzsky's instead, where the prices are slightly lower, accompanied by noticeably higher quality meats and dramatically tastier sandwich bread buns! My favorite thing was the Fresh Strawberry Lemonade, which is not a good thing to say for a delicatessen. Other reviewers have noted "huge portion sizes". To each their own, but my opinion is that they were pretty average main dish sizes.
This McAllisters is rough. The food is consistent but the staff here doesn't seem to care much. We waited 20 mins in an dirty dining area for a couple sandwiches. To-go orders taken after we placed our order came out before ours! The food wasn't bad, but 90% of the tables were filled with dirty plates, cups and napkins. We stayed for about 45 mins and the staff seemed to care more about gossiping than taking care of the place. I usually love McAllisters but I won't be back to this location for a while.

I used to love McAlister’s and go all the time to other locations but somethings not right about this one. The service was nice and food came out quick and it wasn’t busy but I got a French Dip and it wasn’t warm and the dip sauce wasn’t hot either. My friend that was trying this place with me for the first time go the Spicy Turkey Melt and literally one half of her sandwich was warm and the other half was cold and her side of Mac and cheese was cold as well. I hate to post negative reviews but we did not have a good experience and the vibe was totally janky.
After we ordered our food, there was a lunch rush. While we were waiting for our food there was only one person working the register who also was the only person taking the food out to tables. She was trying to get all the customers through because the line was out the door, while 3 or 4 workers were in the back. None of them decided to help to push the food out. It got so bad, there was no room to put food on the line, one person finally decided to take food to the tables. He only did so because there was no space on the line to put food anymore. We ordered at 11:21 and have been waiting for 20 minutes for soup, salad and a sandwich. Very unfortunate and unprofessional.
Super disappointing to pay $30 for 2 sandwiches and a tea just to get super soft bread on my grilled chicken club. I was really expecting it to be toasted well and have crunchy toasted bread and it just wasn’t. Also the grilled chicken tasted more like chicken salad than grilled chicken pieces and it was super small chunks instead of strips (like In chicken salad). I’m not sure if it supposed to be all chicken breast but there was definitely thigh pieces on it and I hate chicken thighs I took those pieces out and gave it to my dog. They also didn’t put Extra Mayo like I ordered and left on the honey mustard even though it was on the receipt that I didn’t want honey mustard. Forgot my pickle too and it wasn’t even busy for them to have made these mistakes. The French dip my husband ordered was correct but just sub par honestly. Not worth the cost at all, I’ll go to Panera. This was my first time eating here and it will also be my last.
While the food is decent, the order system is terrible. As of writing this, the app is having trouble with accepting payments for orders you try to place there. And without a payment you can't complete the order. So i had to call in an order. Easy enough, got confirmation of pickup time and location. go to pickup and they have no record of order. Your calls go to a call center not the restaurant so there's no way to track. Called the call center back and they can't find my order either. Now here i sit for 15 minutes so far, in the car with the sun bearing down after placing the order for the 3rd time at the pick up window. Since the food isn't anything to write home about but isn't all that bad either, I'm reviewing soley based on this frustrating experience with just trying to place an order.
OMG! What happened to this restaurant? We just left this place very upset, order to go. We wait for 30 minutes! No body ask if what we are waiting for. The service in this place went so bad! Our order did not go through? What?😡 No apology, they give us wrong order! We Love the other Mc Alisters in SA,TX. Will not going back to this place, at Pat Booker Rd. Please, check on your employees bad service ok.Your food is always good. PS, this location is near the base. And yes, we are military people.
We stopped in here about 15 minutes before closing. Someone locked the door 10 minutes before actual closing time at 9pm. At 9:15 the same person came and told us they were closed, as if we should grab our food and run out the door. This is awful customer service and terrible optics The sandwich was small as well. .
The management of this location was horrendous. The service was extremely low and all of the employees were very rude. It was obvious the lack of respect for the customers was due to poor management. We ordered a kids meal that states on the menu that it comes with a kids cookie. When the food arrived it did not have one so we asked where it was thinking it was just forgotten. They replied that they were out and we stated that we paid for it so what could have in lieu of the cookie. What could have been an easy fix to either comp part of the meal or provide a regular cookie resulted in us having to speak to the manager. She kept repeating they were out and refused to acknowledged that we paid for it and needed something else or our money back. She angrily handed over a cookie. We were only one of about 5 people that had complained in about 30 minutes with one person having their entire meal compensated. We are normally huge fans of McAlisters but this location desperately needs a management change.
Given that this place is already rated at 2 stars, shame on me for not looking at Yelp first. I did an online order for pickup and had to wait an additional 20 minutes from the time the receipt said my order will be ready and I live about 15 min away. I order 2 Avocado and chicken salads and one with no onion or corn relish. Then…… I finally get the order, get home, AND THERE IS NO CHICKEN ON MY CHICKEN SALAD and corn relish and onion on both. As you can see on the receipt it clearly states to omit these ingredients. How does this even happen? I’m already upset because I’m hungry but to add on…… are you all ready for this? I call the McAllisters location and the lady that answered responded to my issue with “well we are under staffed and very busy” AND HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME! The audacity. I pay $32 for food I basically didn’t order. Please help me understand how they can keep my $32 when they didn’t give me what I ordered. This place was horrible and I think it’s safe to say the customer service was the icing on the cake….HORRIBLE.
Absolutely Disgusting. Paid over $13 for a spud max for delivery. Once I received order, the so-called loaded potatoe was almost bare, barely any toppings. Meat is supposed to be thin sliced but I received big square chunks of meat which I didn’t like, about a 1/2 slice of bacon not even crumbled just put on top. Very dissatisfying, just threw I the trash. Save your money and go elsewhere, this place is nasty and not worth it.
I go to McAlisters once in a while. Usually I don’t have an issue. If anything they give me a beautiful salad and its good. I don’t know if they were overworked today but I got less than half a salad. It was thrown all over the place and I was just very disappointed. I hope next time I go it’s a little better. If I’m gonna pay $12 for a solid I hope to at least get a full salad not half a salad.
Any time I try ordering online they're not taking online orders. I went in person today and waited in line for 20 minutes before giving up and leaving after seeing people waiting 30 minutes for their food. I won't be trying this location again. Very disappointed.
Waited 40 minutes for a kid’s grilled cheese and a club sandwich and spud. Watched several people who were in line behind me get their food and eat and leave. Watched a couple more orders come out before I asked is my order being prepared. The only explanation I was given was there was no explanation sorry. On top of that they forgot part of my order. 🤦🏽♂️
The evening crew here is consistently terrible. Anytime I order after 7pm my sandwiches are either lacking meat, soup is half empty, or they just package terribly. This time they made my sandwich with the butt of the bread, gave me the wrong tea and put a wet pickle on my other sandwich, causing the bread to get soggy. It's just way too expensive here to have such a bad experience 90% of the time.
