I recently stayed at the Village Hotel Liverpool, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The highlight of my stay was definitely the gym facilities. They were top-notch, offering a wide range of equipment and a clean, spacious environment that made my workouts enjoyable. What really stood out for me was Tracy, the gym receptionist. I was having a bit of a down day, and she went out of her way to brighten my spirits. Her friendly demeanor and genuine care made all the difference, helping me feel better and enjoy my time at the gym. Overall, I highly recommend the Village Hotel Liverpool for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent amenities. Five stars all the way!
Hotel is lovely rooms are very spacious. Rooms are sparkling clean would highly recommend Don’t think I’ve stayed in a cleaner hotel.
Stayed for 3 night while working in the area. As we had early starts & late finishes it was easier to stay over than commute. Hotel is in a great location off the the motorway were the M57 meets the M62. Plenty of free parking right outside. Check in was effortless and my room on the first floor was spotlessly clean. Had a bit of downtime after the first day so decided to make use of the gym and leisure club instead of the bar. At the Leisure Club reception I was a bit unsure of were to go and what to do, so Carolyn very kindly showed me around the gym, explained what the equipment did and show me around the spa and pool area. The gym and pool open very early and don't close until late in the evening, which also helped in keeping me out of the bar! Massive pool, great steam room, sauna & jacuzzi too. Breakfast was excellent and the food I had at lunch and in the evening in the pub was great. Working away from home can be quite soleless sometimes so special thanks to Carolyn for showing me round and making me feel so welcome. Will definitely stay here again.
Good hotel, clean and comfy. The gym is amazing! I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Sabrina, the receptionist at the gym, and I must say, she is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, Sabrina greeted me with a warm, welcoming smile and a genuinely friendly attitude. Her professionalism and positive energy set the tone for a fantastic experience at the gym.
Me and my husband had a great 2 night stay in the hotel. The bed was very comfy, probably one of the best hotel beds I've slept in. We loved the relaxed vibe of the bar area and had a few games of the darts which was great. The breakfast buffet was lovely and so were the evening emails. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were all pretty big so it never seemed to feel over crowded when were were there. The staff were all brilliant and made the stay extra enjoyable as nothing was ever too much trouble.
Typical Village Hotel Club situated in Whiston and with easy access to the M62 and M57. The hotel has a large car park with electric car chargers available. The hotel has a club attached with gym and swimming pool as well as a lively bar serving food with big screens for sporting events. Function rooms are also available. The rooms are reasonably large and tastefully decorated and comfortable. Large screen TV with Sky Sports included in the room. All making for a very pleasant stay
The staff were amazing in particular Patrycja who looked after me she was really friendly and kind!! Also Paul was a Great guy on reception. There was also Pamela All lively people and made it really pleasant experience!!
Excellent stay. The hotel is comfortable, clean and very welcoming. A special thank you to Patricja, she truly made my experience even better. Highly recommended!
I had a good experience at the village hotel gym. I was greeted by the lovely receptionist Kate who was a great help with anything I asked. I would definitely recommend. Friendly staff.
Lovely hotel & easy to find..attended a wedding & stayed overnight..a bit pricey but you get what you pay for...pool....gym...plenty of parking & breakfast included in some deals online or pay on the day.. coffee machine in room big TV. & the rooms are spotless.
The gym facilities are great and Carolyn on the front desk is very knowledgeable and helpful. In the restaurant the staff are faultless-cheerful, friendly and helpful. Shout out to Dave, Mandy, Keith, Stacey and Emma. Pam is bubbly and so friendly. We always look forward to a coffee after our gym session and it’s because the staff are so nice.
I recently had a fantastic stay at the Village Hotel Liverpool in Whiston, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. A special shout-out to Katherine, the manager, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Her kindness and willingness to assist with any questions or requests truly made a difference. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and offers great amenities. I'll definitely be returning!
The hotel is perfectly located. Pleasant decor, comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Patrycja at the front desk. I highly recommend it!
The village hotel in Liverpool was amazing! The staff were super friendly and helpful. We used the swimming facilities and they were also great, swimming, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. We stayed over the bank holiday weekend, and it was surprisingly quiet. We stayed in a double room, was lovely and clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was cheaper to book when at the hotel as was only £10pp. Lots of choice at breakfast, fry up, cereals, toast, pastries , teas , coffees, and juice. The staff went above and beyond and made our stay extra special. We will most definitely be visiting again. Thank you
We booked a table for 7 on Friday 28th November. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend
Girls night away, hotel rooms clean modern & cozy, food amazing pool lovely & clean shout out to Patryeja amazing hospitality thank you 🫶🏻
Absolutely loved our stay at the Village Hotel Liverpool! Came up for a soccer school for my son and to spend some time with my daughter in sunny Liverpool! From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly, the place is new and welcoming. We had asked for a nice spacious room and it was HUGE! Just the three of us this time but easily fits 5 so we look forward to returning as a whole family. Thank you so much to everyone, especially Ruby who looked after us and even treated us to late checkout! Deffo recommend :-)
Great time over Xmas rooms was lovely food was nice thanks to Caz from the gym
Stayed last weekend with my partner and was really impressed with how friendly the staff was especially the nice lady on reception Patrycja she was extremely helpful and lovely to speak to, would definitely stay again
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Village Hotel, and I must say it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with modern amenities such as the gym and a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service provided by Michael. From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. He was friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile. Whether it was giving great recommendations for local spots or helping with my requests, Michael made my stay feel extra special. Overall, the Village Hotel offered a fantastic experience, and Michael’s outstanding customer service was the cherry on top. I will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel/gym to others!
I want to take a moment to give a special thank you to Patrycja at reception at the Village Hotel Liverpool, because she has already made my stay truly exceptional. From the very first interaction, Patrycja has been incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. She doesn’t just do her job.. she goes above and beyond in every possible way. Her positive attitude, professionalism, and warmth make you feel valued as a guest, not just another room number. Patrycja has that rare quality where you can tell she truly enjoys helping people. She is patient, attentive, and always smiling, even when reception is busy. Every question or request is handled with ease and care, and she makes everything feel effortless and stress-free. This is the kind of service you normally expect from a luxury hotel. absolute five-star service. The way she communicates, listens, and treats guests reflects incredibly well on the hotel. Staff like Patrycja are the reason people enjoy their stay and want to return. She is a real asset to the Village Hotel Liverpool and clearly takes pride in what she does. She genuinely deserves all the recognition and appreciation she can get. Hospitality needs more people like her, and I hope the hotel knows how lucky they are to have someone like Patrycja on their team. Thank you, Patrycja, for your kindness, professionalism, and for making my stay so pleasant!
Well I can honestly say that we had the best Christmas ever thanks to all of the staff who gave up their Christmas day to make ours amazing. Christmas in the inspiration suite was outstanding. We brought friends from down south and they said it was the best Christmas they have had in years! Superb value superb singer and most of all the superb staff. Well done to you all. Thanks again from Annette and Gary Campbell.
We had a great time at my son's wedding , stayed over and rooms were spotless and warm, everything we needed, with the added bonus of a bath too. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about food allergies, breakfast was really good, self serve with an excellent choice of hot and cold food and drinks.
Due to a house fire me and my two children have been staying in this hotel whilst our home is repaired. This hotel have been nothing short of amazing for us. Courtney the receptionist has been incredible with me and my children, from being so welcoming to helping me with all our needs and my requirements as whilst we’ve been at the hotel I’ve also undergone a medical procedure on my back and I’ve never gone short of anything. I would also like to mention the cleaning lady Sharon. What a women. This lady has treated me is no different to one of her children and I can’t thank her enough for her kindness and help with everything. Thank you for making our inconvenient month stay that little bit easier!
We went for a family meal at the Village Liverpool. The staff who looked after us were so helpful and polite. We were quite a big group. All of the meals arrived together and the food was really lovely. We had a great night. Big thanks to Alex, Chloe and Ryan who served us and made it so enjoyable!
Recently stayed here through a business trip .There was a really good atmosphere, clean rooms and nice food,I had the privilege of going in the gym and being shown around the gym and equipment by Carolyn who was very knowledgeable and pleasant member of staff. I would recommend to my colleagues and friends to stay here thanks.
I used the facilities here at Village Hotel in Whiston. Excellent service, great food and friendly staff. There’s one in particular who helped me throughout my use of the facilities , a young man named Michael. He was very helpful and thoughtful as he even showed me around the gym etc and helped me find what I needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in this area, it was a pleasure to stay.
Everything about this place is lovely, especially the pool and gym everything is so clean. The hotel should definitely be 5* Basic breakfast but The hotel itself is amazing
My experience at the hotel was very pleasurable. I particularly liked the gym staff. Carolyn was very helpful. She went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. So, thankyou to Carolyn & the hotel. I will recommend your company & me & my husband shall return 100%. Thankyou

On reception I was greeted by the lovely Carolyn who was very welcoming and spoken to me about which membership was the best to go with because of my work commitments. She showed me around and explained what the gym has to offer and I took out a membership. Carolyn took my time with me and answered any questions I had amazing customer service and always got a smile on her face when coming into the gym.
Very good stay. Patrycja she is very good in reception.she help me very much . Mandy she is very helpful to.

The gym was also great, good facilities and staff was very friendly!! There where one person i particularly called Michael who was very helpful and very kind in the gym. My favourite place for a stay in Liverpool!! Whether for a short break or just for using the leisure and the bar I’d always recommend this Liverpool gem! Great facilities, lovely staff and decent prices. Pop in and team will sure look after you, a special thanks to Sabrina from reception who makes me feel special every visit!!! Cheers,
We stayed in this hotel for a family wedding. Lovely venue and staff really helpful. I used the pool facilities the day after the wedding. Such a nice way to relax. I didn’t have a lock for the locker, the lovely lady in reception (Carolyn ) was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely memorable stay.
A very pleasant and quiet hotel. Delicious breakfast, friendly service. Smiling and professional reception staff, a blonde woman named Patrycja.
I've been going to this lady's class for 6 weeks. Myself & my wife. Think she's amazing. Thank you so much, Lucy Kenny. Also the same to tom molly. Thank you.
Fabulous hotel all staff was amazing from reception to housekeeping made me and my son feel at home everyone in ther was so friendly amazing support from mason chloe Ryan an also Karen housekeeping definitely recommend this hotel had a lovely 2 weeks stay ther
Nice hotel, room was very clean and quiet. It was a really good size as well (for a double). Staff friendly and helpful, and parking free at weekends and there was plenty of it. Booked as part of an offer which gave free Internet and use of the gym and pool. As is often the case in these places, Village hotels being no exception, the food menu at the bar is overpriced in my opinion. A short drive to a local pub was a better option.
A warm welcome from the reception. You can either check in using the self service computer or the receptionist will do it for you. Make sure to ask for the free water bottle which you can use in the gym and spa. It's good quality and yours to take home. Parking is plentiful but comes with a £5/day fee during the week but is free 13:00 Friday to 13:00 Monday. The hotel is very conveniently located for the M57 and is 25 minutes drive from Liverpool city centre by car or around 40 minutes by bus. It's also close to Whiston railway station which has a regular service to Manchester and Liverpool. The rooms are clean and comfortable with the usual tea/coffee facilities and ensuite bathroom. The swimming pool is lovely and warm with a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna which was great to relax in. Breakfast is served in the adjoining pub and this is where it let itself down a bit on our stay. There weren't many staff members on duty and this meant table cleaning was being done as often as it could have been, we came down around 08:00 and struggled to find a clean table to sit at. The pub isn't huge and there was a conference taking place with the delegates having breakfast at the same time which led to a shortage of tables. Overall the hotel is fine for an overnight stay to use as a base for exploring the area or business.
My parents stayed here as their house was having work done due to an insurance incident, the staff at the hotel were lovely very friendly and accommodating and extremely well mannered and helpful. Would recommend the hotel, also food was good too.
Was there for training, the meeting room was very dirty, you can lot of dust and carpet pieces all the places, further the reception was not aware of the ongoing training, when asked about the location he just guided to the location where all meeting rooms are there. Cleanliness of the entrance needs a lot of attention. Need a lot of attention
A great location and easily accessible from the motorway. Rooms are slightly more dated compared to other Village Hotels but they were tidy and spacious none the less. The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked, however with mould build up on the shower screen seals and hard water build up on the shower head. The breakfast and bar staff were lovely and couldn't do enough to help. Had a lovely evening meal on the second night of my stay in the bar.
A decent hotel to stay. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are kept clean. Lots of choice of things for the buffet breakfast too which was nice. There’s a pool which looked pretty nice from the outside and a gym too. One of the toilets in the Hub area didn’t have toilet paper for a couple of days which was a shame, and the room was a little tired but overall it did the job!
Not a great experience. Without going into too many details, I had to check out at 11pm and drive back to Coventry due to staying with my 11 year old grandson in a twin room and being in an adjoining room next to a couple who were very loudly having a good time...... I did ask to be moved as it was embarrassing with an 11 yr old but there were only double rooms available and that wasn't acceptable.
Not the best Village hotel, tired rooms, the bar is a bit soulless, the food bland and overcooked. And these days you have to pay a fiver to use the gym. Not what Village hotels used to be when they were owned by DeVere.
In general, I like Village hotels. Free parking at the weekend is great. Not sure I would stay at the Liverpool one again though. Although bed was comfy, room was clean and staff were helpful, the terrible soundproofing let it down. The neighbours literally might as well have been in the same room. Even though I had no desire to know what the people next door think of all Aston Villas players at 8am on a Sunday, I sadly do, as well as their names, where they're from and the date of one of their birthdays. Made me want to die.
I stayed at the village hotel on 17th-19th October. The hotel is fine - staff are always friendly. The main problem is the rooms. We were given one towel instead of two, easy to fix but surely you check how many guests are in a room before check in. The thing that I cannot forgive is the dust. I'd assume dusting was a basic thing that is done before every guest stays, but the level of dust looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks - this is unacceptable and I wouldn't return for this reason.
Everything—from the facilities and breakfast to the room (including the Club upgrade)—is extremely basic and outdated. The property is in desperate need of a full renovation.
The room was dirty / stained and the bedsheets smelt really bad. I was very glad to leave.
I stay lot’s of village hotel this the far worse- i book a family room with 1 child only give us 1 bed. How do they expect us to sleep in 1 bed with a 8 yrs old child. ? Room not very clean. No much space to go around. We also been charge to use the pool on top. As a hotel guess. If u just want to relax in pool and seat while ur family is swimming u won’t be aloud in. I been to all of village hotel in uk- this the worse. Reception not even very friendly. The only think i will give of star 5⭐️here is the night stuff behind the bar. And the games things they got having darts -🎯 food was ok. Nothing special but is ok. Enjoy it. Never will book this hotel again.
Can't review the rooms as only went for a xmas night out!food was OK!service and atmosphere was good but!!!bar prices were astronomical!!!more expensive than the top hotels in Liverpool!!
Rooms smelt, weird stain on carpets and the breakfast was subpair. Will not be visiting again. Only upside was EV charging on site.
This place is an absolute rip off! The pub and grill food and drink price is ridiculous! They charge the same prices as the hotel in London! And they don’t have gin glasses, apparently the manager decided to throw what was left of them away , because a couple got smashed! So rather than get off his back side an order some more , he decides that gin lovers don’t matter in there! But wine and beer drinkers do! But still sells gin accept at a poor quality for ridiculous prices!
Whole thing was a bit grim to be honest. Pool was out of action an hour before it was meant to be closed and tried to sit and have a drink outside instead but the clouds of weed smoke made it impossible. Bought a bottle of wine inside but they charged £34(!!) for a cash and carry bottle of white. Staff in general were rude and uncaring. Thought it might be a reasonably cheap but otherwise acceptable chain hotel. We were WRONG. avoid at all costs.
Bad experience! Dated hotel and plenty of surprises while in your room you hear all kinds of noises, doors, elevator shower, wc etc, never experienced that much before. (extra 5 Pounds for parking + another 5 for gym). Won't come back.
