Excellent mid-August lunch. Pizzoccheri and polenta with venison stew are highly recommended. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking nearby. Just past Italian customs at 2,315 meters. Beautiful view of the valley. There's a duty-free shop next door for those who want to purchase something.

I stopped by on my bike to ask for a favor, and the staff was very courteous and friendly. I'm sorry I didn't dine there, but the menu looked interesting. Thanks again to the young lady who treated us so well. I hope to stop by again sooner rather than later.

Pizzoccheri: a delicious dish of buckwheat tagliatelle topped with potatoes, cheese, and cabbage. Try it! The service was friendly and fast. The place was crowded, but it was Sunday. They seated us right away, without a reservation.

For years, whenever we've been in Livigno, our go-to place has been the Rifugio Tridentina. The staff is always kind and welcoming, even with the little ones. The quality of the food is very high, and everything I've tried over the years has never disappointed me. Starting with the first courses, my favorites are the tagliolini with mushrooms and the speck and walnut ones, which are truly delicious. For the second course, I often order the scaloppine with mushrooms, and they've never disappointed me either. The cheeses are very good. For dessert, I recommend the panna cotta with blueberries. The dishes are carefully prepared. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this Rifugio. Prices are average. I recommend it.

Capitati due volte durante una recente vacanza a Livigno, abbiamo pranzato molto bene con cibi tradizionali e porzioni abbondanti. Super consigliato.

Avamposto militare di frontiera ed oggi un vero rifugio di montagna ove la passione di chi lo gestisce per accogliere al meglio i viandanti traspare chiaramente. Dai pizzoccheri alle tagliatelle, dalla polenta alle costine, per finire ai dolci tutto preparato in maniera come ottimale da tradizione valtellinese! Posto dove si respira alpinismo vero e storia. Un bel luogo rustico e pieno di calore!

Capitati lì per una merenda coi miei figli, abbiamo gustato dessert e formaggi di ottima qualità. Allora siamo tornati per cena. Io ho preso i pizzoccheri, molto buoni, i miei figli tagliatelle ai porcini e penne al ragù. Tutto ok. Per secondo ci siamo divisi una costata alla griglia ottima e qualche costoletta d'agnello. Sarebbe una stellina in meno per queste ultime, non siamo stati fortunati forse, erano un pò durette. Ma è nel complesso, una casualità secondo me. La qualità è alta e il prezzo più che ragionevole.

We stopped with our motorcycle before going through customs. It's not your typical refuge; it's a bit unremarkable from the outside, but inside, the warmth of the waitress and the simplicity of the restaurant made us feel welcome. Excellent food.

We often stop here to eat. A simple restaurant located at 2,300 meters above sea level, with traditional cuisine... Excellent dishes include polenta, pizzoccheri, and even meat. The service is excellent and very helpful. Cash only! Parking is available, and next door is a shop selling local products, liqueurs, and more.

Restaurant at the Forcola in Livigno, with a very rustic atmosphere and fast service. The dishes aren't bad at all, although they're very simple in presentation. The portions are generous and the prices are fair. Worth a stop if you're passing through. Highly recommended.

We've known the Refugio for several years and greatly appreciate the homey atmosphere and hospitality. Unfortunately, this year was a little different. Only the pepper steak still deserved 5 stars. The pizzoccheri were very meager, and the potatoes and chard in it were hard to find with a magnifying glass. The service was also anything but attentive, preferring to chat with her two colleagues behind the counter for what felt like an eternity. What a shame! We hope for things to improve, for the sake of the good old days!
