I was in Lodi for work and stopped at this restaurant for lunch. The staff is very friendly, and they offer a business lunch menu with a choice of two starters, two main courses, side dishes, a drink, and coffee. The prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

We were in Lodi on a Sunday for the photography festival, and wanting to avoid the touristy downtown spots, we did a quick search for something traditional. We found the "Vecchia Lodi" restaurant, relying on the photos and their website, and when we arrived, our impressions were more than confirmed. Traditional dishes, affordable prices, and very friendly and hospitable staff. All this just 3 km from the center of Lodi, in a quiet area with no parking issues. Adding to the setting is the attached riding stable, with friendly farmyard animals behind the restaurant. An excellent choice for a Sunday lunch—as in our case—or for an evening with friends.

Typical dishes of the Lodigian cuisine. The service was a bit slow but not excessively long. The dishes were of good quality, especially the rapadura was excellent. The price is average. Recommended.

Typical old tavern in Lodi. There is nothing better to savor the cuisine and the homemade atmosphere with a glass of wine and something to eat. We found this place after a work commitment in the area and upon entering the owner greeted us. The place is very dated and you can tell from the decor. The mise en place is simple but suitable for a working clientele ... as are the generous portions. We opted for a pasta dish with mushrooms and a slice of roast pork with mashed potatoes ... washed down with the house wine. Pasta a little too overcooked for my taste but it tasted good. the pork sirloin was remarkable, but I can't say the same about the industrial puree. All in all it was exactly as expected. An extra point for the courtesy of the owner.

The food isn't particularly well-prepared, and the outdoor area is full of insects (including wasps) due to the running water (perhaps to cool the metal roof) and the animals kept nearby. The staff is friendly and quick. The prices are too high for what's on offer. It's only okay if you're in a hurry.

Very warm and welcoming inside. The menu was inviting and varied. Period. The rest? An absolute disappointment! The appetizer arrived almost immediately. The first and second courses took a good two hours. I think they forgot about us! Despite the owner's apologies, who seemed truly sorry, it was a negative experience. I absolutely do not recommend it! And the food, too, was nothing special.
