Fresh hot and crispy food. Sauces weren't too watery or thick. Egg drop soup was amazing and will definitely be getting some for the winter. Customer service was amazing. Very quick and attentive.

Bumped to five stars due to their food quality. Their fried rice with chicken was amazingly good and their vegetable shrimp was divine. Definitely recommend. Price was comparable to other places in the area. Do not bee fooled by the appearance, the food is good

A friend of a friend recommended this place and it was so good, we ate there four consecutive days. The 8 dollar all day special is great and the portions are very generous. They cook the food in front of you and everything is fresh and extremely delicious. The only quibble is their Orange Chicken for some reason is not that good, but everything I've tried is. Best Chinese carryout place in a 10 mile radius of Redlands.

Amazing Chinese take out or dine in experience. Love everything on the menu and the food comes out really fast but be prepared to burn your mouth if you eat too fast because the food is hot hot hot!

This place never disappoints! Their food is cooked when you order, offering plenty of portions to share. For vegetarians or those who enjoy a great stir fry, they have the crispiest veggies. Whenever we're super hungry, want yummy Chinese cuisine that's quality, this is who we call!

The chicken with broccoli is amazing. Very delicious. House made items. Made to order. Generously portioned. They do not have heat lamps...you will love your new dinning spot. 🥂💕

Love this place! they are fast, food is made to order, fresh, they use disposable plates, but it’s perfect for me. I definitely recommend the open kitchen chicken with steamed rice. They know me already when I arrive after work, they have great attitudes and it’s a great place to eat and relax.

Our favorite Sunday meal! The staff here is always super polite and friendly, and the food is always cooked fresh and always delicious! Their orange chicken is simply the best I have had and I love orange chicken so I order it everywhere we go! Even though they cook each order fresh there is never a long wait whether dining in or grabbing to bring home. Their eff flower soup is without equal and can be habit-forming so be careful! We have made Open Kitchen our Sunday family meal and highly recommend them for you and your family!

I really enjoy coming here whenever I am in the mood for something different like Chinese food. I like that they don't use any MSG in preparing their food; something which is important to me. Quality is always consistent and food always tastes great. In my opinion, the food that this place offers is of a higher quality than that which you would get at a traditional fast food chain.

We showed up at the last minute, and they were very accommodating. The food was the best Chinese my wife and I have found in the Inland empire. The food is top quality, at twice the price. both my wife and I were stuffed for around $20.00 a fantastic bargain. If you don't try this place, You be are missing out.

Food is always good and hot. Very good service. Just kind of plain inside but that's OK because the food portions are good size and the value cannot be beat.

Today was my first eating here im very impressed. The house fried rice is what I got and im from St. Louis its a very close taste, flavor and enough food for 2. Great service didn't have to wait long. Next time I will be trying something different.

No frills type of Chinese food! They don’t mess around and the food is always hot & fresh. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you receive. Highly recommend

Been coming for over a year and the lunch special is great. The chatting has died out and the food coming out is good. Service is always friendly and prices are reasonable. Wow!!!!! I love this place! I could hear the wok cooking my Kung Pao chicken. You get soup, rice, egg roll, and entree for $9...what a deal!! Let me tell you about the egg flower soup, it fills your body with warm delicious goodness. I put a little sauce and it just warms my heart. The entree was a good big portion that I couldn't finish, and that is saying something. The staff is very friendly. One suggestion to the staff, please keep the kitchen chatter down, it sounds like you guys are arguing and if thats the case, it makes it a little uncomfortable. But thats just because we don't understand otherwise I would be all into it 😀 New day new meal... I tried their General Tso's chicken, it was just orange chicken with different sauce. It was good, but I really don't like orange chicken because of the excessive breading so I was not expecting it. The talking between the ladies gets obsessive to the point that sometimes customers are thrown off or not attended to.

The best Chinese restaurant in Redlands! This place does not put MSG on their food. All are made to order. This place has limited seating. Staff are friendly all though could be misunderstood as being impolite at times. Food is always delicious.

Food is always good staff is always real friendly. I always leave here satisfied. If your tired wasting money on Chinese fast food come here you won't go back. And they only took 5 min to make all this food.

Food, amazing Keeping safe during the pandemic? Absolutely above and beyond! Well organized, clearly visible in prep and proper procedure before the recent pandemic, and now even more above and beyond. Not only have they kept the soul and flavor, they have expanded my trust. An absolute staple of Redlands and the region. Worth a detour if you are going to the mountains, or having a night in.

Excellent Kung Pao Shrimp for takeout, with rice included! There's probably 15 tables and the place is a bit small, but half full already for dinner. Lots of takeout happening. Traditional wok cooking where you can watch the kitchen in action. Nice job, OK!

First time here, recommended by receptionist at Oasis Eye center. Extremely great food, everything is fresh. We had the broccoli chicken, broccoli beef and chowmein chicken all food was over the top. My wife said "Primera calidad".

Excellent food. This is real and authentic Chinese cuisine. The prices are acceptable (standard pretty much). But the food is top quality, fresh, good portions, cooked in a quality way, and clean. There are numerous (very good) choices and listing of dishes/foods/meals listed on the menu to select from. I believe you can request a Chinese dish if it's not on the menu. Be sure to try the Shrimp Chop Suey. Clean restaurant too. The Special is all day too - noatter what time it is. The people working there are pretty nice too. 5 stars!

Their noodles and fried rice are amazing. They have been at this location for seven years already. I discover them back when they were in Orange street in the same shopping center of Trader Joe's. I am so glad that I found them again. It gets busy with a wide range of customers. From families, students to elderly. Simple cozy ambjance. I wish they would not use Styrofoam for the hot tea cups and soup bowls. Will definitely need to go back to try their other dishes. The staff was very attentive, patient, and ready to fulfill my requests.

We ordered take out for lunch. The meal included a shareable entree of KungPao chicken and fried rice, a small egg flour soup and 5 egg rolls. Our total was almost $19. I thought we had ordered a lunch special but maybe there was a misunderstanding. The food was barely enough for 2 people (and we usually don’t eat big meals) so I feel like it this place was on the pricier end. The entree (kungpao chicken) was delicious, the veggies were fresh and crunchy and the chicken didn’t have all those nerve endings/chewy parts that some other places use. I was not a fan of the egg rolls nor the soup. Next time I will only order the entrees! Overall, I do recommend this place but if you are planning on ordering the lunch specials, just double check the pricing.

The orange chicken was good and the egg roll, can't say the same about my rice, or soup. The service was wonderful though, that's why I give 4 stars. My selection was probably off, and the taste was probably just not for me. I enjoyed my time there anyway!

Open Kitchen has been a staple for me in the past, but lately, it's been hit or miss. With rising prices, the food quality seems to have gone downhill. For a sit-down restaurant, the taste is leaning more toward fast food these days. While the service is fast and the staff is friendly, the food was just okay. The portion sizes are good when you dine in, but once you go take out, you definitely get your monies worth . As a big fried rice guy, the fried rice has lacked flavor my last few visits, and that's just a disappointment.

Food is 10/10 ! With great deals ! Customer service sucks … I don’t know if it’s because I bring my baby with me all the time and she’s 1 so she makes a big mess or they just don’t like to see browns walking in ! Just wish they can be more polite and friendly

Ordered the house chow mein. The meat and the chow mein didn't taste fresh it tasted old and like it was frozen prior to cooking. Way overpriced in my opinion $3+ for a small soda is just ridiculous. sweet and sour chicken is okay and so are the egg rolls. They served it way too hot and didn't even warn us.almost burned my mouth I had to spit it out.probably won't come back

Always having tasty Chinese food, there are new problems at this restaurant, that can be corrected. I presume that 90 percent of their business is Fast Food Take Out. My first concern is that the staff are exhausted! I know that the “bottom line” is financial profit, but having a 90 minute closing time between lunch and dinner would seem to me be a way to improve worker’s attitudes and ultimately restaurant quality and success. The second concern of mine is the new trend among Chinese restaurants to have paper plates and plastic utensils for “dine in” customers. I recently paid more than thirty dollars at Open Kitchen for soup, tea, and an entree, which was served to my table on paper plates, plastic bowls and flimsy plastic forks and spoons. For what I spent, I would have expected to be served on REAL or manufactured China, which is not expensive. Dish washing is the only cost associated with this practice. When selecting a place to have lunch, I am now avoiding ALL restaurants that serve dine-in customers on paper plates.

My General Tsos was slimy and undercooked. Tasted like very old poultry.

I've eaten here many times and it was always good until I found hair in my food...not A hair...wads of hair. They denied it was possible but it was actually cooked into my chicken. They did not respond the way I hoped so I won't be going back.

Been a customer of Open Kitchen for at least 5 years. The lady/person at the counter has been rude since day one. The shrimp fried rice is the only thing we buy to go as a side dish for what ever we BBQ at home. The shrimp fried rice is 50/50 sometimes good sometimes JUNK! Bought two orders today to go with our BBQ the lady was her usual rude self and the food was HORRIBLE. Finally time to stop wasting money with Open Kitchen, as far as I’m concerned they are closed kitchen for our family.

J

Don't waste your time and money. The food was bland, over priced and small portions. The jumbo fried shrimp was inedible and served with the worst, bland tarter sauce imaginable. The rude service was only surpassed by the high prices. Look, Redlands has GREAT restaurants. This isn't one of them.

I ordered part of my food to go today. I was going to eat it at home when I found what it looks like to fly eggs on my food. Found them on two places on my plate. I've eaten part of that and took the rest home. Gross..!!!

Decided to eat here before my night shift. It was my first time and perhaps my last. Ordered no. 1 combo on the menu. The service was quick and efficient. when the food came it felt like i was at a barbecue. paper plates and disposables… the food was average to say the least but what really ruined the “ambience” was the smell of paint. i came in at around 8:20pm knowing they close at 10pm. A minute into my meal some near the back of the store started painting and repairing something. I had my back turned but the smell of paint was overpowering. the couple in front of me complained about the paint smell but nothing happened. finally after a few minutes the couple complained, asked for a refund and left barely touching their food. when they left i was the only one in restaurant eating. I tried but the smell was too much even though they had stopped painting after the couple complained. I then paid for my meal to go and left. it just baffles me that they would do repairs during business hours while customers are eating? Now i’m stuck with the memory of eating chicken with the aroma of wet paint. what were they thinking?
