Really good Authentic Indian food, Vadapav is a must try. Felt like eating in India. Loved this place
The food was amazing, the service is outstanding, they were very willing to accommodate our large group of 15.
Very nice staff! Thank you food is so tasty omg
I’ve worked near this restaurant for almost 3 years and finally decided to stop by… and I honestly regret not trying it sooner. The variety on the menu is amazing. I love Mexican food and I love Indian food, so this truly feels like the best of both worlds. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and really well done. Definitely going to be coming back way more often.
I had a very good experience dining at Cafe 23. Their samosas were really good, served piping hot. I like their Soya Chaap Tandoori plate in particular! Good place to hang out with friends for chai time!
It tastes like I am eating in India. You just get the chai with any order. We got saag paneer chole with rice and 1 paratha as a “veggie supreme plate.” Poori chole was also incredible 10/10
Absolutely loved the food here! The vada pav is outstanding, and the rest of the menu is just as delicious. Their catering service is top-notch. Definitely one of the best spots for Indian street food and catering.
Food was amazing- especially the pav bhaji. Best Indian food around usc. The service was very nice, even though we had a big group :))
WoW. What a lovely, welcoming place. I went there for breakfast when it just opened in the morning and felt like i am in divine place with Shiv bhajan playing and dhoop in dining area. I tried Masala Dosa and Kullad Chai and both were delicious. I will definitely visit when i am in the area again.
The food was perfectly priced for a chill night, where people want some Indian food for low prices. The owner was extremely nice, and I will definitely come here again.
Great place to have some Indian food. The parathas and even the pickle was really tasty. They have a good spread menu, must visit!
We used Cafe 23 Catering and had a great experience overall. The food was genuinely good, well-prepared, and flavorful. The daal makhni stood out in particular and easily one of the best dishes on the menu. The owners were also very helpful throughout the process, responsive to questions, and easy to work with, which made coordination smooth and stress-free. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for reliable catering with quality food.
This place had an amazing ambiance and GREAT food!!! So delicious!!!! And to make things even better, their service was top notch!!! I had the chicken tikka burrito and it was beyond tasty!!! Thank you for a great experience!!! I highly recommend this place!
I’ve traveled a lot and tried Indian food in many places, but 23rd Cafe truly stands out. With the new owners, the food feels homely and full of flavor—just like a proper home-cooked meal. As an Indian myself, I can honestly say this is the only place where I’ve found dosas, sambar, and chole bhature that taste this authentic outside of home. The dosas are crisp and delicious, the sambar has rich flavor, and every dish feels made with care. I’ve brought my kids and family here, and we’ve all really enjoyed it. If you’re looking for real, flavorful Indian food that tastes like home, this is the spot. Highly recommend!
I found this place by accident. I came to Art of Living and saw this sweet little Indian restaurant in the end of the lane. We ordered for Vada Paav and Masala Dosa with Khullar Chai. The vada Paav gave me absolute Mumbai vibes with the same peanut chutney and fried green chilli with it. The dosa was crisp and what delicious Sambar n tomato chutney. I absolutely recommend this place.
Really fast service, delicious food. Asked the lady at the counter what I should get & she recommended the lamb curry bowl. 100% good call. Great flavor. Will come back for the breakfast burrito wrap 🌯
The food feels like home, it’s really fresh and the menu is so big that you never run out of new options to try! The staff treats is so warm and welcoming. It feels like you’re eating a meal with your family! The ambiance is so great as well - there’s always Bollywood songs playing. Their value-for-money is so great. You get a full thali for $9.99!
Hello, I Recently Got to know this place near USC fresh and homely food. I almost visit 2-3 times a week. Tried Both Veg and Non Veg they were pretty good. Must try would be Tandoori Platter. If you a time in weekends and want to try some Indian food cafe23 is for you. Go check it out and support them.
I ordered the Paneer Paratha and the Tandoori Chaap. I asked for extra sauce, which made it even more flavorful. I also got the Pav Bhaji, and they made it fresh—it turned out really tasty. The Paneer Paratha was just okay, but I’d definitely recommend trying their Sev Puri and Paneer Quesadilla.
Great customer service, decent environment for a hole in the wall. I ordered the buttered chicken, Chili chicken, Garlic naan, and lamb sambusa. The food was good but not to die for. I’d stay away from the chili chicken & sambusa but the buttered chicken is worth having For more LA food reviews and suggestions follow my Instagram @5stareating IG:5stareating
When you pay almost $50 for the food and hungry you have to eat the food regardless. Tikka massala was to salty. Naan was not fluffy, uncooked, $5 for the little container of rice. $4 per naan. Prices are so high but the restaurant is 2 star restaurants. The reviews are based of non Indians I believe.
