Avis sur Chicken BunBun Los Angeles
My favorite fried chicken sandwich. Consistently good. Crispy. Never too oily. The coleslaw, pickles, sauce and bread/bun blend perfectly together. I prefer the dark meat (sweeter, juicier.) The combo comes with your choice of sides: French fries, curly fries, waffle fries, onion rings! They also sell Boba, green teas and Thai iced tea drinks (+$4.) It goes great with the sandwiches. So when I crave a good chicken sandwich, I go here.
Super tasty, reasonably priced chicken! I got a spicy sandwich and popcorn chicken, and both were really good. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and flavorful. The seasoning tasted somewhere between Nashville hot and Taiwanese seasoning. Definitely gonna come back
No lie, the spicy chicken sandwich with dark meat I had here this past Saturday was probably the best chicken sandwich of any sort I've ever had. It was exceptional. I assume it was made with multiple pieces of thigh meat, and the flavor of the marinated meat and spice blend in the breading, crispness of the breading, and fresh delivery were just the best. It's Wednesday night and I've spent a lot of time thinking about what made this sandwich so good. Haha. People complain here about the wait for the food. You're waiting for a cook to make your meal after you order it, not serve it to you from under a heat lamp. The seasoning on the crinkle cut fries is really nice. The popcorn chicken is insane, and a real value. We got an order to go to snack on after the show we were headed to. Man, it was good, and came with a nice side sauce. We eat at a lot of places on our way to shows in LA, but this place is at the top of my list of places to come back to. Good prices, remarkably good food, friendly service... What more you want? It just out-of-control good.
I tried the spicy chicken sandwich and a side of cheese sticks. The sandwich is huge! For the money I think it's a pretty good value. It was fried perfectly, very juicy with a good crispy coating. Spice level was good if you're looking for a sandwich spicier than a Popeye's sandwich but not overpowering heat. Very tasty flavor. The cheese sticks were also very good and fried with a light crispy coating, and the mozzarella had the right amount of salty flavor. Overall this place was great!
Best chicken wrap, sauce, sandwich, wings in one single spot
Amazing chicken sandwich, the chicken alone has really good flavor and wasn’t greasy. Also I tried the wings and the spicy ones were really good (maybe ghost pepper?). Overall solid place and really good prices. Tip, easy parking in the back.
Absolutely delicious. The sandwich was so big I ate half, but it was late at night and I wasn’t starving. The crunchiness was better than any Korean fried chicken (and I love Korean Fried Chicken)! They have lettuce wrapped option also.
Parking super easy to find. The chicken sandwhich w the waffle fries was excellent. The jasmine gree tea was good. Overall, good experience. Is a must try place.
Came here on a whim. Got the chicken sandwich, spicy wings, and waffle fries. Pricing was good and the food was better. Would definitely come back here. Hidden gen in my opinion
Chicken Bun Bun have the best chicken sandwich around. The Bun was soft and toasted on the grill and the chicken was cook perfect and the additional to the pickles and the cole slaw and mayo they use on the sandwich. The waffles fries were very good and crunchy.

We love this place so much that we’re gonna have it catered at our wedding! Best sando in town by far. Highly recommended. Staff is friendly too :)

I was driving through Alhambra from the tesla dealership and decided to try this place. The mild spicy chicken sandwich was really tasty. Plenty of flavor and spice but not overpowering. The buns were fluffy and full The fries nice good too. They gave me fresh fries not bottom of the barrel ones. Ill defelintly hit this place up next time im in Alhambra for lunch time.
I had a great crispy, spicy chicken sandwich. Loved that they have white meat and dark meat options. Varying spice levels. My "medium" spicy started off a bit...spicy but mellowed out to a nice heat. Would go back.
Absolutely amazing. After a disappoint go at the Mancoras peruivian cuisine on main, I found this place in walking distance. Gave it a shot and the chicken is amazing. The #1 recommendation is have is the #1 Chicken sandwich (white or dark meat) it's by far the best chicken sandwich I've had. Easily blowing Raising Canes and all other chicken sandwich establishments out of the park. The balance between each ingredient was spot on and I could easily devour multiple of these in one sitting due to how good it is. 100% recommend this place. Side note, for any people planning to eat here. Order ahead of time (sometimes it can take 30+ minutes) and avoid the wraps, go for the chicken on the bun instead. It's vastly superior because the wraps seem to be poorly constructed. The wraps seem to be overflowing with sauce which makes the wrap soft and weak so its, hard to hold let alone eat, without it breaking apart in your hands Went again Jan 24, 2026 food is still great and the food is coming out a tad bit faster than before. Still recommend ordering online or by phone ahead of time. New personal recommendation is the Chicken Tenders. They give you some rather hefty house made tenders and with the seaweed seasoning you get a nice faintly sweet spice coating. You also get a cup of sauce that is like a slightly spicy version or Raising Canes Sauce. The quality of the chicken also beats Raising Canes in my opinion. At this point the only thing I can say Raising Canes does better is the speed of service and parking spaces. It's still a good place to go but Chicken bun bun has it beat in terms of flavor and quality.

This is way better than chick fil a. I’m surprised I barely see anyone. The chicken is crispy soft and the flavor is not too overpowering. The fries compliment it well too with a special seasoning. Amazing.
Chicken Bun Bun was my recent favorite discovery for when I was craving a chicken sandwich. This located off of Main Street. It wasn’t busy in the store, but parking was a bit crowded at around 5:30 pm. Ahead of the visit, I placed a mobile order. It was ready when I arrived and the check in was easy. There was plenty of seating inside, but opted to bring it home. For the order, I got the spicy chicken sandwich and popcorn chicken. The sandwich had crunchy chicken with a spicy mayo. The bun held the sandwich together well. The pickles added extra flavor to it. While there was a lot of flavor, the spiciness took me back a bit. It was much spicer than the other time that I had it and was on the uncomfortable side. For the popcorn chicken, it was crispy and the portion is very much shareable. I did feel they did not provide enough sauce. Once you run out, it could taste a bit dry.
It's aight. The spicy chicken has a good level of spice. It's not a little weenie spice. The waffle fries remind me of curly fries from Jack in the Box. Overall it's a decent place. I would try something else from the menu.
The crispy chicken burger is amazing here. Every bite is steaming hot and the house sauce is tasty. That also means you will be very very thirsty. Also, Watch out for the long wait time because they make it from scratch. It took 15-20 mins for two burgers and we were the only ones there.
Gotta admit, one of the main reasons I wanted to try this place out is the fun name. That & it being so close by. Glad it all worked out since it's a pretty solid chicken sandwich that'd I'd order again. ITEM'S ORDERED: Spicy Chicken on Bun TASTE: I know this is not a Nashville style chicken sandwich, but in general I'd say it's basically a very mild version of the more hot Nashville hot sandwich that you might get at say, Main Chick. Sandwich is made up of a generously sized chicken breast, slaw, some type of seasoned mayo sauce & pickles. There's quite a heavy amount of mayo, but it actually does work with bringing that savory as well as slight sweet flavor. The spice level of the chicken is not intense & you won't find yourself suffering. I like spicy foods so I would prefer a little more spice, but this more mild heat does allow you to eat though the sandwich without having your mouth on fire. I wouldn't call the chicken dry really, but it could just be a little bit more tender & a little more crisp for me. I did ask for some hot sauce on the side which is more heavy on the vinegar side. Using it lightly on the sandwich does work though as an element to somewhat cut through the heaviness. Sandwich was assembled well & looked very presentable upon opening the box. SERVICE: I called in to pick the sandwich up on my way home on an early Sunday evening. I was surprised they don't have an online ordering option like most places these days. The cashier was friendly enough with no problems. They've got their branding on point with the attractive takeout bag & box. LOCATION & PARKING: They are located right on Main St, which sometimes makes parking tricky. I found a spot right out front which is 2 hour parking (8am - 5pm). Inside is pretty basic but all very new looking as it should be for a quite new business. There's 4 tables to the right side with half booth seating. I'm very much open to coming back here to try out that walnut shrimp sandwich & of course some fries.
First time trying chicken bun bun..I actually like the sauce they put on the chicken sandwich the taste the spicyness the breading on the chicken the texture of the bread was great curly fries on point...yes I will return.

Food is delicious but there was no soap in the restroom. When I asked if they could refill the dispenser, they said no, they ran out of soap. Pretty unsanitary for a restaurant. Hope they have a sink with soap in the kitchen...
I waited 25 minutes. There were a few customers in there but I don’t know why it takes so long. The burger taste was okay. It definitely not worth to wait that long for just this ONE BURGER !
This place HAD potential. Honestly is a catfish restaurant. They don't have a special "sauce" so their food is very bland and flavorless. The food comes very basic and with not much. If you are a ranch fan you'll understand their is a "good" ranch and an ok ranch, in this case that is the okay ranch Expect your food to come with nothing. They charge for EVERYTHING, pickles, tomatoes, peppers, anything that helps food taste better and less boring. With big competitors like Dave's, or chickF, offering all these small things included in the meal., they are setting themselves up for failure. I understand if you're charging for a premium tomato if your tomato is special. Did they grow it in the back with love and filtered water and organic dirt? No, nothing special so why charge for something so basic? I was surprised napkins were free! Now don't get me wrong, I'm no cheap-o it's just such a big inconvenience to have to think about your condiments when ordering food! Chicken was great and juicy though they did one thing right, :) but no flavor. I literally tasted the animal more than the salt in the chicken. No special drinks or any tea available. Sooo for the non soda or sugar drinkers you're out of luck! Menu is tiny on the Screen monitor in the wall so make sure to bring binoculars Oh also combos do not come with waffle fries,, they cat fish you with some regular fries which is a easy to miss mistake. COLESLAW; not much flavor feels like they added milk onto coleslaw soooo I don't suggest Good one time try for the adventure but let's move on :)
