One of the best fried chicken sandwiches albeit on the pricey side. One sando will set you back around $20 (with tax and tip). There are levels of spicy ness from none-extreme. I usually order mild or no spice because the flavors are just so good to have the spicy ness compete with the actual enjoyment of the sandwich. The place is a tiny whole in the wall located in the Silverlake Plaza strip mall and max 5 counter seating facing a wall. Better take it to go, the chicken will stay crunchy. It’s been featured in Guy Fieri’s Diners and Dives. Definitely worth a try.

Daybird is a vibrant and innovative dining establishment located in the trendy Silver Lake Plaza of Los Angeles. It stands out as a pioneer in the fast-casual dining scene, infusing Szechuan flavors into classic American comfort food. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of experiencing a culinary masterpiece known as the *COD SANDO*. The *COD SANDO* is a true culinary triumph, featuring a tender, breaded, and fried cod fillet infused with the tantalizing heat of Szechuan chili oil. The delicate seasoning allows the fish's natural flavors to shine while providing a satisfying kick of spice. Nestled in a soft bun, the cod is accompanied by a slice of creamy American cheddar, adding a touch of indulgent richness, and enhanced by the zesty yuzu tartar sauce that elevates the entire sandwich to gourmet levels. The accompanying fries were a perfect balance of golden crispiness and fluffy interior, serving as a delightful canvas for savoring the lingering flavors of chili oil and tartar sauce. Paired with a refreshingly tart strawberry lemonade, the entire meal felt like a harmonious symphony of flavors, each component enhancing the others. The atmosphere at Daybird perfectly complements its daring menu, blending casual elegance with an energetic vibe that mirrors the creativity of the dishes. Whether you're seeking a quick bite or a leisurely lunch, Daybird offers a dining experience that transcends the typical fast-casual setting, introducing a unique and flavorful twist to the Silver Lake food scene. For those in search of a fresh and unexpected culinary adventure, Daybird is an absolute must-visit. The *COD SANDO* isn't just a meal; it's a captivating exploration of flavors that lingers on the palate long after the last bite. This establishment effortlessly marries East and West in the most delectable way, making it a highly recommended destination for anyone yearning to experience something truly original in Los Angeles.

Went right before opening on a Saturday and had no line. There’s only standing room for dine-in, but lots of parking either in the main plaza or the underground parking right down the ramp. Anywho, overall this place warrants a second visit. For my first ever visit, I tried their Hot Fried Fish Sandwich. It seems to be first-come-first-served, and not a menu mainstay. But huge filet, and amazing crisp. I wish it had more sauce tbh, cause the fish itself was so massive and i wanted more acid. Need to come back for the chimken, cause it’s a fried chicken sandwich shop 😂

Daybird is tucked away but it makes great fried chicken sandos. The owner is a James Beard finalist and the food here shows it. People started lining up before they even opened! Fried chicken that's tender, crunchy, flavorful, and not greasy. I would have preferred my sandwich to be a little spicier - I'll level up next time.

Easily the best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life! This is fusion food done right. Chicken was juicy, spices were balanced, sauces were good, fries were golden & not soggy. I got the sando and my friend got the 4 piece tenders. The tenders were good, but he really regretted not also getting the sandwich. It's in a nice humble shop with an open kitchen and a standing counter to eat.

with all the nashville fried chicken spots in the city, daybird sets itself apart from the rest with szechuan flavors and dry seasoning, really letting the chicken shine. one of my new favorite chicken sandwich spots. chicken sandwich: dark meat chicken was juicy and loved the freshly tossed slaw to balance out the oil/fried flavors. spicy is perfect heat level but it is spicy!

This place does really solid chicken sandwiches, which I'm not usually very into, but this place is the exception. The chicken pieces are huge and very well seasoned. The pimento cheese sando is my favorite though 😋

I was in town for the day, didn’t have a lot of extra time and going to daybird meant an extra hour round trip in the car… totally worth it. Impressive sandwich in terms of both quality and quantity. Perfectly cooked chicken that was wonderfully crispy outside + juicy inside. The rest of the sandwich is well composed, plus really enjoyed both the daybird and habenero ranch sauces. My only regret is that in writing this review, now I can stop thinking about going back for another one.

Not sure if this place counts as a hole in the wall establishment, but the Szechuan Hot Chicken Sando definitely tastes amazing. The fried chicken thigh is huge and juicy. Well marinated with a brioche bun with a spicy kewpie slaw on top makes a delicious combination. If only it wasn't so expensive...

I must say that this is the best chicken sandwich that I've tasted in a long time. The chicken was fried to perfect crispness, and together with the salad toppings, the multiple flavours just implode in your mouth!

Great chicken sandwich go to! Not the normal plain hot kind but seasoned with some peppercorn for a different sensation. The inside is very small and if you decide to eat there you stand and eat at a counter. Very well worth it to try! The chicken is twice the size of the bun which is nice because you get to try the chicken before getting it mixed with the coleslaw and bun.

I enjoyed the experience - it has the gourmet quality I expect from a TopChef winner. I didn't like it as much as Main's or Dave hot chicken which I can eat a few times a month but daybird is something everyone should try at least once. The Daybird sauce was unique (some combination of Mayo and strong soy sauce). The coleslaw in the chicken sandwich was good. The chicken tender was awesome.

You're driving along Silver Lake with your neighbor one evening, waiting for the left turn, when you spot a strange store; despite being only 7 on a weekday, its already closed. Its storefront bears only a neon chicken head, and when asking your neighbor, she knows only that she's seen long lines in front at other days of the week and all you can think is "what is this place?" You, dear reader, already have the leg up in knowing that this is Daybird, and soon you will know that it serves some of the best fried chicken in LA. Daybird is the brainchild of Top Chef winner Mei Lin, formerly the proprietor of high-end restaurant sensation Nightshade in the arts district, which she voluntarily shut down at the start of the Pandemic as she felt she couldn't operate it both profitably and safely. Surprisingly, articles say she turned away from the world of dinner courses the price of domestic flights on favor of more accessible fare the retained her signature quality, and that turned out to be Sichuanese fried chicken. For those not in the know, Sichuanese spice is a numbing spice that combines a kind of dull tingly sensation on the tongue with an intense savory flavor that leaves you desperate for more, contrasting significantly with the stifling heat of your average chili pepper. Mei Lin's genius lies and realizing that this spice could be effectively combined with humble but pristinely prepared fried chicken tenders, for a culinary experience which is at once familiar and accessible, and mind-blowingly unique and delicious. All of Daybird's 3 menu items feature the spice in some way. The most accessible are the chicken tenders available in packs of one two three or four. A single piece goes for a manageable $4, but be warned: those who purchase only one are destined to regret not having more. The tenders are breaded lightly and seasoned generously with the Sichuanese spice. (Note that those who are more mild of taste can easily request a lower or non-existent spice level; personally I recommend going either medium or high spice to get the full effect). The light breading ensures that each bite is crisp but not overly greasy, and the chicken is always juicy and tender, managing never to feel too chewy or dry. The chicken is complimented by a truly remarkable fries. While spice level isn't adjustable for the fries the interplay of salt and seasoning makes for one of the best french fries in the city. The menu also features a special lemonade which rotates on a daily basis and features such excellent flavors as mint, blackberry, and even the classic Arnold Palmer. All of this pales in comparison to the superstar of the daybird menu - its $14 chicken katsu sandwich. At first you might wonder what's justifying the exorbitant price for a single tender with buns and coleslaw. The sandwich looks unstable at first with the tender always drooping over to one side. But sometimes things truly must be eaten to be believed. The chicken katsu's tender uses thicker breading and a stronger spice that lingers, making an even more splendid contrast with the still supple juicy white meat. The sandwich maintains its form with tremendous ease as you consume the savory tender, The heat building up with every bite. But the moment you dig into the coleslaw, everything changes. The refreshing bite of fresh cilantro and tart sauce flows like a cooling waterfall into the dry heat of the katsu. The journey of eating this sandwich, far from being worth just $14, maybe worth its weight in gold. It's also very much worth the wait in time. On one such weight I observed an older lady drive into the lot pause in front of the store and ask "what do they sell here?" I smiled knowing exactly how to reply. "Chicken". And damn good chicken at that.

Daybird is one of my go-to spots living on the east side. I was blown away by the cod fish sando!! It was so juicy, and their tarter sauce is top notch. Chicken tenders are next-to-none, always fried perfectly and with a great seasoning and exterior. Chicken sando is also very very solid. 10/10 spot

I pulled into the parking lot to adjust my navigation & saw this spot. I wanted to get the chicken sandwich but I was driving so I got the tenders instead. Zero disappointment! These tenders are perfectly breaded & spicy! I love spicy but I think these might have gotten the best of me. I also grabbed a this sparkling peach drink. Idk know the proper name of it but it was amazing. My only regret is thinking I could handle the hottest level! 😂😂

I recently tried this place and have already incorporated it into my weekly rotation. It is so good! I’m a bit of a baby when it comes to spice, so I usually opt for the “Mild” chicken sandwich after trying “Medium” the first time. The meat, slaw, AND sauce are spicy, so keep that in mind as you decide your spice level. The first time I could hardly eat my sandwich, but I suffered through the heat because it was so tasty. 🤣 The mild version is much more suited to my midwestern palette but still has some heat. I wish the sauce were included with the sandwich, but at $1 extra, it doesn’t break the bank. I always order a side of pickles to temper the heat, and they’re a great addition imo. Highly recommend this spot! It’s affordable and tasty with generous portions, and above all, it’s consistent! It hits every time, and as many of us think more carefully about our spending in these inflationary times, that’s important! Great spot for lunch or an easy dinner!

Best spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had. Classic sandwich yet still has a unique seasoning to set it apart, not to mention the crunch of the breading and the size.

Daybird absolutely lives up to the hype and then some. From the moment you walk in, the place has a cool, modern vibe that feels effortless and well thought out. It’s clean, stylish, and inviting without trying too hard, making it a great stop whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or actually sitting down to enjoy the experience. The food is the real star here. Daybird’s hot chicken is hands down some of the best I’ve had—perfectly crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The spice levels are no joke but extremely well-balanced, allowing you to actually taste the chicken and seasoning rather than just heat. The bread is soft and fresh, the slaw adds a great crunch, and everything comes together in a way that feels intentional and satisfying. What really sets Daybird apart is the quality and consistency. You can tell they care about what they’re serving. Every bite feels fresh, well-prepared, and indulgent in the best way. Even the sides complement the main dish perfectly, rounding out the meal instead of feeling like an afterthought. The service is quick and friendly, and the overall experience feels smooth and efficient without feeling rushed. Daybird is the kind of place you crave after your first visit and immediately want to come back to. If you’re a fan of hot chicken or just great comfort food done right, Daybird is an absolute must-try. It’s bold, flavorful, and memorable—easily one of my go-to spots now. My good friend put me on to this location. I was hesitant at first but I’m glad I actually had the opportunity to choose another spot. But this was great. I chose the Szechuan Hot Chicken Sandwich. I would definitely come back. Daybird is one of those places that immediately stands out and actually delivers on the promise. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and relaxed, making it a comfortable spot whether you’re dining in or grabbing food to go. There’s a cool, laid-back energy that fits the brand perfectly and makes the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The food is outstanding. The hot chicken is cooked perfectly—crispy, juicy, and full of flavor in every bite. What really impressed me was how balanced everything tasted. The heat is bold but not overwhelming, allowing the seasoning and quality of the chicken to shine through. The combination of textures, from the crunch of the chicken to the softness of the bun and the freshness of the slaw, makes each bite incredibly satisfying. You can tell a lot of care goes into the preparation and presentation. Nothing feels rushed or sloppy, and the ingredients taste fresh and thoughtfully chosen. Even the sides hold their own and pair really well with the main dish, which isn’t always the case at places like this. Service was smooth and efficient, and the staff was friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Orders came out quickly, and everything was exactly as expected, which speaks to the consistency of the operation. Overall, Daybird is doing hot chicken the right way—high quality, bold flavors, and a great overall experience. It’s the kind of place you keep thinking about after you leave and find yourself wanting to return to. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates well-executed comfort food. Daybird is absolutely unreal. From the moment you step in, the vibe is on point—clean, modern, and buzzing with energy. It feels like a place that knows exactly what it is and executes it flawlessly. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing it to go, there’s an excitement in the air that already sets expectations high—and somehow, Daybird exceeds them. Now let’s talk about the food, because this is where Daybird really goes crazy. The hot chicken is next level. Perfectly crispy, insanely juicy, and loaded with bold flavor in every single bite. The heat levels are serious but incredibly well-balanced, so you get that addictive spice without losing the actual taste of the chicken. The bun is soft, the slaw adds the perfect crunch, and everything comes together in a way that’s messy, indulgent, and absolutely worth it.

12/13/2025 Finally! I saw this place on the t.v. show called, "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and I wanted to try their chicken sando. I ordered the mild spicy one with fries and ginger beer. Damn the ginger beer was so good. The sando it self was ok but I liked the experience. You have to eat standing up though.

Amazing chicken sandwich, fried to order. The slaw that’s on top is perfect, it has a little bit of cilantro and jalapeño. I got the hot, and I like spicy, I think next time I will get the extreme. Amazing mouth numbing spice from the Szechuan peppercorn, all the flavors work really well together. Since the chicken is really oversized I would recommend getting an extra sauce to dip it in, either the hot honey or the daybird sauce. I was too excited from how good it smelled and forgot to take a picture before I started eating, but look at this amazing cross-section!

I've been dreaming of this place. My friends and I ate here once. We were visiting and saw a tiktok and fell in love. The portion size is awesome but the flavors far exceed that value. If you're seeking spice it will be unmatched. If you're asking value it's there. If you're seeking a hole in the wall with unmatched flavor you've found the spot. Support this gem and get an extra water. I can't wait to travel 1500 miles to eat another amazing sandwich. You will forever in our minds be known as "beach chicken" your legacy only continues in our dreams, hearts, and minds.

Best spicy chicken sandwich in LA IMO. Ignore the photos because they just don’t do the unique sandwich justice. Spicy and sweet and really good size for the price. Hot was actually spicy but still so much flavor, which was nice. The big sleeper here are the cookies… i don’t know what the flavor was but it was 10/10 warm and soft! Definitely worth a visit!

I love chicken sandwiches and Daybird just nabbed the top spot on my list. The chicken was juicy, had a good crunch, and was seasoned very well. My favorite part was the slaw which was surprising since I'm not usually a coleslaw lover. It had an Asian flare and the cilantro and peppers in it really enhanced the sandwich. I was very impressed with the portion size since it filled me up and I usually eat quite a bit. The fries were good too. They weren't anything super special but they were quite crispy and that's what I enjoy most in fries. There aren't any chairs so don't go in respecting that, but if you don't mind standing it's rather fun to eat while watching the kitchen work. I will definitely go back if I get the chance!

Big chicken sandwich is great. On the sweet side, but packed with other spices and flavors. Mild was quite mild and will spice up next time. Even the packaging is really thought out—the sandwich has a lot of slaw and the chicken is huge, but it doesn’t make a mess the way they put it together. The fish sandwich is basically a bigger, more delicious version of the most popular fast food fish sandwich. Overall, great sandwiches that set it apart from other spicy chicken restaurants. Unique flavor, big, good value—what else can you ask for?

Dude. These are the best chicken sandwiches. Periodt. Ya basically get a whole extra patty that sits outside the bun. But where I’m shook is the FRESHNESS and VIBRANCY of the incredible slaw that works so gorgeously w the perfectly fried, seasoned and brined chicken. I was dancing and humming and like trying to understand how it was that good. I loved the potato salad as a side, perfect cool element to the heat of the sandwich’s. The fries were good too. Omg and the cookie!! Yo that cookie is delicious!! It didn’t even need to be a hit yet it was. Lemonade was the perfect way to tie it all together. Got there before it opened and the line was three deep w people ordering and rolling up while we stood at the standup bar to eat. No tables, just a long 5-6 person stand up bar. Service was efficient, no warmth or vibe but didn’t need it cuz the food is en pointe and speaks for itself. Solid, thank you Chef Mei, wow!!

Place is a pretty small I won’t lie probably max 6 people can fit in side to eat. Me and a friend went there for our first time since I saw their fried fish sandwich online. And might I say it did not disappoint. For $17 you get a nice good chunk of high quality cod covered in a nice creamy but somewhat light tartar sauce in a nice soft bun. The fish had lots of flavor had a bit of a kick to it but not spicy more of a heat kind of spice. I didn’t notice that the fries were separate which were $3, nothing special but a good quality and nice crispy fries. Now is it worth it? Yeah I would say so ended up paying $20 dollars and man it was one of the best fried fish sandwiches I’ve had but it’s not a place I would go to everyday for more like a special occasion type place. The photo I took didn’t do the sand which justice hahaha but trust it’s good!

Still good in 2024!! Small indoor standing counter. HOT became spicy enough for me. I like their chicken sandwich (thigh) is super juicy inside and crunchy on the outside. It reminded me of the giant fried chicken cutlet I would have in Taiwan’s night markets. However, it was a bit thin and not enough numbing (because Szechuan is supposed to be numbing!) The daybird sauce is like thousand island sauce. Costs $0.50. Fries (extra) are thin and crusty. Love it with hot honey sauce. The chicken tenders are just OK. The crust fell apart too soon. Easy online order. We came on Friday and online order took about 15-20 minutes.

Szechuan hot chicken sando / medium spice - 5 🌟! Daybird is a Koreatown/Silverlake fried chicken place that specializes in spicy szechuan flavored chicken. They are probably best known for putting a giant piece of fried chicken on a bun, adding pickled veggies/slaw and some sauces. The piece of chicken is so large it is like eating two chicken strips before you make it to the bread. Overall, this is a killer sandwich. The frying choice they use create a really nice crispy texture. The szechuan spices are very flavorful and the spice is nice but not overwhelming for my sensitive western stomach. I regret not getting fries to go with it but alas, this time I went for a chicken sandwich by itself. I think I was worried I would feel stuffed if I added fries. Parking is easy on a side street or in their small but not too busy lot. They do not have dine in so plan to eat curbside or in the car because the freshest it hits your stomach, the better.

They weren't anything super special but they were quite crispy and that's what I enjoy most in fries. There aren't any chairs so don't go in respecting that, but if you don't mind standing it's rather fun to eat while watching the kitchen work. I will definitely go back if I get the chance!

Filet of fish sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. I overheard people saying the chicken sandwich was the best they ever had so next time I’m going to try that!

One of my favorite chicken sandwich places. The Szechuan style fried chicken is juicy and tender and flavorful with the sauce and the buns, veggies and all are excellent. It has a nice kick to it depending on the spice level you try. There's also a caviar addon that my friends enjoyed last time. The fries are also very good. The staff is nice and chill. Seating is a bit limited with standing room to eat.

The chicken was so good! Filling had such. good balance of coleslaw inside. I would get mild spice if you want a kick - the medium spice level ended up being too spicy for me. Potato salad was great. Milk tea cookies are a pass. Sandwich is extremely filling as the patty extends beyond the buns. Great crunch and batter. There’s no seating inside, only a ledge against a wall to eat off of. More of a grab and go situation.

If you are big fan of fried chicken or Chef Mei this is the spot to stop by. It's a to go spot mainly, but there's a standing table for 4-5 people. They restaurant is esthetically not best looking, but they serves hundreds of sandwichs. The Taiwanese pop chicken sando and Szechuan hot chicken sando are the stars. Very deeply fried, and full spice. They are served in a soft bun with some toppings. The chicken pieces are huge, takes a while to finish the sandwich. I got some extra sauce on the side, that really helped while gobbling the sandwich. I was not overly thrilled with the place but was happy to eat a decent sandwich at a popular spot.

Daybird serves up some of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had! The chicken was perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The spice level was spot on—just the right amount of heat to keep things exciting without overpowering the taste. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in LA!

Overall: 4.3/5 (Postmates delivery) The food came within 30-35 minutes and was packaged nicely. They did it in a way where the food was not squished and very presentable for pictures. They also positioned the food in a way that the oil didn't stain the paper bag. The food was filling but didn't make me feel oily or have food coma afterwards. Mild Szechuan Hot Chicken Sando ($14.50): We got mild since we had Szechuan and peppercorn food before and they were spicy! However, we didn't taste any spiciness from the mild or medium spice level so this was not a "hot chicken sandwich" to us. As many people said, the sando comes with a huge piece of chicken that is bigger than the burger itself - love that they are consistent with their portion size. The chicken didn't taste like popcorn chicken as some people have referenced (no strong pepper taste) but had a more subtle flavor to it. The batter was the right amount and still very crispy/crunchy when we received our order. I definitely think it would be so much better if we had the Daybird sauce since the coleslaw didn't have much flavor. The downside is that the coleslaw made the potato buns super soggy at the bottom of the burger. I also wished they toasted the buns more since they were too soft. I like this Sando but think Howlin' Ray's is still #1 for hot chicken sandwiches. Medium Spice Level Tender ($3.50): We got one tender to try since a lot of the Yelp review said that the tender is dry and not comparable to the chicken Sando. I strongly agree with that statement after trying it. The tender has a dry rub and the chicken tender meat is also dry inside. We got the Daybird sauce on the side but they forgot it! We tried other sauces like ketchup but they didn't help or pair well with the tender. Also the medium spice wasn't hot at all.

More asian inspired chicken burgers! I love the hidden kick in here.

Wow! I love the numbing of the tongue feeling. My friend hooked me up with a Daybird chicken sandwich and it is delicious. The chicken breast is huge, crispy, full of Szechuan flavor and for that extra element of crunch the additional pickled cabbage, peppers, cilantro take the chicken sandwich to a whole new level.

My friend and I came here before an event to grab a meal. First thing to note, parking lot is a little bit small but there’s a downstairs lot that’s kind of hidden. Second thing to note, there’s barely any seating in here, but there are counters if you don’t mind standing with your food. Third thing to note, this place serves extremely super spicy chicken. They offer no spice, mild, hot, extra hot. We ordered mild and it made us cry; way too spicy. Yes, it was delicious, but it was nearly inedible. Their sauces were good. Fries were decent. Employees not the friendliest.

Daybird serves up some pretty large and juicy Szechuan chicken sandwiches. The sandwich features a Jidori chicken thigh fried in rice bran oil and house-made spicy slaw on a Martin's potato bun. You can choose 5 different spice level options: no heat, mild, medium, hot, or extreme. I went with medium and it had a nice kick, but wasn't overwhelmingly spicy. As chicken sandwiches go, this is a pretty good option. They are $16 per sandwich, which for the size of the sandwich isn't a horribly overpriced sandwich. I got fries on the side and a drink as well. There is a little parking lot in this plaza. Inside of Daybird, there was standing room only on the sides to eat. Other customers come in to pick up and take the sandwiches to go.

Solid chicken sandwich joint. Restaurant level parking can be tight. For order pick up they have two 30 minute spots. Better to park beneath the building, lots of spaces and easy to get in and out of. The restaurant is small with only a standing bar to eat food at. Found all food to be well prepared and fresh. For chicken medium spicy, we did not find it to be hot at all. Potato salad is very good. Staff efficient though not particularly friendly. Decent value for money. Business is brisk so expect a bit of a wait for your order to be processed.

Only a 4 for me because the prices are insane on everything but the fries and beverages. Had a fish Sandwich, a tender and fries. Fries were good, The fish Sandwich was crunchy nicely breaded nice spread and bun delicious. Is it 21$ delicious? Absolutely not. Its a good one and done try, if it was 15$ that would still be crazy but id say try it twice if so but its not. The tender was a tender but 4$ thats what i can say. Extremely crunchy but not overly dry either solid but the pricing like most places in la is just absurd.

Food was okay. Limited menu. Mostly take out, but you can stand at a counter facing a wall if you're interested in dining in. Chicken was pretty spicy, but had a good flavor. Potato salad was delish! Service also ok, but nothing special.

they bring extremely hot you have wait at least 25 min to even bite a little bit, too much spice too hot, nothing special for this price, location horrible and no AC + smells terrible, no place to sit.. honestly don't wanna come back ever again.

This was featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-in & Dives". Owned my Food Network's Iron Chef Mei Lin. It's has only limited stand up counter. The sandwich is unique as it's twice the size of bun. The chicken great fried texture & crunch. The seasoning is unique & good - similar to a szechuan. cinnamon clove nutmeg and southern blackened Cajon... the pickled cabbage / slaw is subjective (personally I like mine more on the creamy side)... this is more pickled and drier. Was very spicy. I would suggest asking / trying sauces. (Wasn't offered - I should have requested)... the menu is very limited and basic fries. It's not a cheap sandwich at $16 - but if you're a foodie, it's worth trying once if you're in the area.

What a let down. Although the flavors were there, it looks a lot better untouched and on Insta than the actual experience of eating it. While the sandwich overflows from the bag, the first few bites were breading, followed by pounded down chicken that is half the size of the bun, and ending w a soggy bun and toppings. You can see the progression of disappointment I experienced w every bite. Maybe that’s fine for some but it just feels like false advertising given that every image makes it seem like you’re about to embark on a bounty of poultry. For $16, I expected a lot more. It feels like cost-cutting. If that’s the case, then I’d rather pay $20 and get a proper consistent bite than what I got. Kinda sucks to spend just under $40 for a couple sandwiches and one fry to leave unsatisfied, and like the calories didn’t justify the meal. Again, the flavors were there and it’s good in theory. But like so many Bumble dates - it looked a lot better in pics than in-person.

It was alright. Not worth the price in my opinion. I got a medium chicken sando and the mild fish. Fish was good but honestly would rather have a filet o fish from McDonalds. I did like the tartar sauce but I wouldn’t crave this or want to come again for it or pay $20 for it. Chicken was crispy but the flavor wasn’t there. Daybird sauce was not good. Jalapeño ranch was also pretty bad and for $1 a sauce, definitely not worth it. Small counter to eat at facing a wall. Mehhhh

The woman at the counter on Dec 7th acted like taking an order was a personal insult. Miserable and rude to everyone in there. The food is overpriced, and you can get better chicken at any basic fried-chicken spot. These glowing reviews make no sense.

Menu was confusing. The person taking orders was rude and kept pointing to the menu when my husband tried to ask her questions. My son ordered a mild chicken sandwich that they poured Cajon seasoning all over which made it super salty and spicy. The chicken is crispy but you can't tell if there's much flavor due to the abundance of salt and spices they add. We couldn't even finish the sandwiches they were that bad. Would not recommend this place if you don't like spicy food or good customer service.
