The food was incredible. Everything I tried was delicious, but the fried cauliflower stood out as one of the best I’ve had, and the Cacio e Pepe pizza was the star of the night—rich, cheesy, peppery, and a definite 10/10. For dessert, I had their chocolate cake made with olive oil, which added such a unique richness to the flavor. The service made the experience even better. The hostess was very nice and friendly, and Danielle, the manager, came by our table twice to check in—she was so kind and welcoming. Our server, Donovan, was amazing: very attentive, helpful, and guided us through the menu with the best recommendations. I also love the little touches that make Pizzana special. They are dog-friendly (yes, they even have dog pizza on the menu!), and they offer a membership that gives you one free pizza a month when you spend $25 or more, plus a free dessert on your birthday. Parking is convenient too, with meters and neighborhood parking available. Overall, Pizzana Brentwood exceeded all expectations: comforting atmosphere, outstanding food, and prime service. I can’t wait to go back!
We love the pizza at Pizzana. It is always great. The place is always clean the service is wonderful. It is very pretty and we often eat there. This time we did take away. It was perfect. This is Daniele Uditi’s place and is recommended by Michelin. This pizza is Naples type pizza, but they go out of their way to get great sourced toppings. The signature “slow dough” is meticulously prepared and allowed to ferment for two days. This gives a light crust but still sturdy enough to pick up with one hand. They have the best toppings. Don't let my photos fool you. My husband took of a bunch of my toppings and left me with just a few, which is best for me. They never skimp on toppings. You will just love it. Their pastas are also great and I usually get one when we dine there. The Creste alla Vodka, Pappardelle alla Bolognese and Spaghetti al Pomodoro are all great, it just depends on your mood at the moment. We also love their salads. The arugula salad with, spinach, shaved fennel, lemon zest, pine nut, parmigiano, lemon citronette is my favorite, but they also make a great chopped salad. And here, never miss dessert. They have their own pastry chef and all of it is good. My favorite is the three Panna Cottas with salted caramel sauce and caramelized pretzel and also their Torta al Limone which is the best lemon sponge cake, white chocolate frosting, candied lemon. It also can go home with ease. You really need to pick one. The place is just a happy place to be.
An excellent modern pizza place. Their cacio e pepe is the standout item here, notably their Parmesan crema. While I've definitely had better crust elsewhere, the unique toppings really make this place standout as there's something for everyone. Definitely make a reservation as it gets busy.
*Delayed post from Dec '24 Lovely experience at this pizza place, with incredibly attentive servers, a fun view of the kitchen staff through the glass barrier, and deliciously fresh food. Be aware that large parties May face a long wait time unless you make a reservation and parking can be tricky. We ordered three pizzas and two antipastas for a group of five and it was the perfect amount. The artichoke was out of this world: The meat of the artichoke on the bottom was creamy and had a sharp taste of lemon, which was a delicious contrast to the crispy leaves and aromatic pine nuts on top, but the intensity of garlic overall enticed me the most. The broccolini was slightly spicy, balanced by the smooth cream dollops and crisp melted parmesan. It was cooked perfectly with a tender bite. As for pizzas, the diavola was the showstopper for me because the spicy salami was well balanced with the sweet honey and toasted walnuts. The Neo Margherita championed the cheese and I loved the charcoal bits on the crust.
Another great Italian spot in Brentwood. The restaurant is fairly small with some tables on their covered patio outside. I have tried a few things, but have to say I usually go for the same things. However, looking to try more of their menu. Their bolognese is great. I really enjoy their pizza. And, I like the fact that they offer beef pepperoni. The vodka pasta was okay, nothing too crazy in my opinion. They also have a great happy hour with pizza and margarita cocktail, but never got the chance to actually try it. Overall, for that price range, it’s a cool place to check out with great options!
I was wholly impressed with my experience at pizzana, everything from the service to the food was amazing! We were recommended the grilled artichoke and the vodka pizza along with other things by our server, and we opted for those two. The Vodka pizza was unlike any other. The crust was baked to perfection, the cheese, the sauces, the meat everything went along so well! The grilled artichoke was delicious as well, with the crispy artichoke flakes and the lemon butter sauce were stunning. The service was 10/10, with both our servers providing exceptional service throughout our dinner. We also got the olive oil chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, and it was so moist, and perfectly divine. They had a special deal running where if you sign up for their rewards program you get a delicious $5 margarita. The ambiance was pleasant as well, I liked the artwork on the walls. Overall, i 100% recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back here to try other pizzas and pastas.
We found Parking right out front. The servers were kind and friendly. The brussels sprout salad was really delicious. The pizza crust was authentic and flavor titillating, althoigh they could have been cooked slightly lighter. While this was an expensive find I would definitely recommend it!
Reservations are recommended and glad we did. We had a great experience and the food was amazing. We saw pizzana on an episode of the chef show on Netflix and has been on our to eat list for a while. When we were in La in August for the Metallica concert we booked a reservation 24hrs in advance. We tried 4 pizza's ( 4 of us)! And 3 appetizers plus the Cesar salad. Everything we tried was so good. Including the bianca which was a 2nd choice cuz they didn't have the one I wanted to try. But it was so good. I'm not big on fennel. In fact none of us really are but we all loved it! And I'd definitely get it again. Can't wait to go again. The chef says they are going to update the menu soon so we will be back for that for sure!!
One of the best pizza places in LA, and some of the best Napoli style pizza I've had outside Naples. Perfect flavor, the dough that dreams are made of, and sauces and ingredients fit for any mafioso or enthusiast. The Funghi/mushroom pizza is perfection, their seasonal offerings should definitely be indulged in, it's all you want in pizza and more. A smaller location, so make reservations and come hungry and ready to order. Useful tip, use the Google Translate App or ask the server if the Italian words on the menu get you stumped (you're in good company). Glad they're getting more locations soon, it's a favorite of mine and will stay near the top of my list for the foreseeable future. UPDATE: Still the best pizza. Get the Cacio E Pepe pizza 👌
Superb pizza. The Margherita is delicious. Their crust light and airy. Their appetizers are also great the artichoke is so creamy and scrumptious. The fried cauliflower is crispy and soft with great flavors. The lemon ricotta cheesecake is one of the best desserts I've ever had. It's not too rich and great lemon flavor. You have to definitely eat here.
HAPPY VEGAN. Pizzana not only makes delicious pizza, they make delicious options for vegans. Nothing makes me as happy as not being an afterthought. Most times I have to ask for no cheese on my pizza and make due. Pizzana has 2 already vegan options. Their salads are incredible as are their desserts (I cheated , I’m a sugar addict, ok?!). Strong recommend.
What surprised me most was the cloud light dough and a crust that stays crisp with great toppings. It’s busy for a reason, and the team kept things moving quickly. Great for date night or visiting friends. Would gladly return. The pacing felt just right.
The pizza although it was delicious, wasn’t hot, this was a major let down for a pizza lover like me. My family is from New York and any time pizza comes out it should be sizzling hot! However their pizza is delicious nonetheless and I enjoyed it (would’ve been 5 stars if the pizza was hot)
Pizzana has a lot of positive reviews and we were really excited to try it out. We got the Cacio E Pepe which seemed to be their house signature pizza according to their website. The slow dough which is fermented for 2 days was chewy in the best possible way, but the parmigiano crema with cracked black pepper tasted a bit too much like a standard cream cheese to be put on a bagel. We'll have to try the Neo Margherita next time. Service was very cordial. The atmosphere has dim lighting and felt very cozy, especially with the pizza oven in full view
Service was very good. The cheese and seasoning for the caprese was excellent, however the tomatoes tasted like they'd been in a very cold fridge for too long so they'd lost their flavor. The pizza ingredients tasted like there was good quality, however the seasoning and crust flavor was a bit bland. San Marzano tomatoes are the gold standard in sauces but they need good seasoning to showcase their flavor. A whisper of red pepper works wonders on the palate. They probably processed well over 100 to-go pizzas while we were there, so their pizza is clearly popular with locals. For me, pizza is the ultimate meal and while this meal had quality ingredients, it tasted rushed and as if the chef that created it wasn't there to watch over the details.
