SUSHI AI Everything was excellent - the food - delicious, the service - on point, and the atmosphere - welcoming! I had the blue crab croquettes w/yuzu mayo (panorama tempura blue crab & cream cheese) and Vegas roll (fried crabmeat, cream cheese, salmon) - I'd recommend both!
Really fast service and the food was awesome! Happy hour is everyday so I definitely recommend coming before 6. The wait staff were great with recommendations - I never would have tried the garlic salmon and it ended up being my favorite dish.
I've been coming here for years, but my most recent experience requires a more thorough review. We were seated promptly by Angie who treated my partner and I like dinner guests. She was a delight in a rough evening. We had baked mussels, spicy garlic edmamae, pepper salmon sashimi, baked salmon sashimi with caviar, salmon collar, and two different types of sake. The lighting and patio was adorable! The happy hour was an absolute knockout. Personally, I can't wait to go back. Thank you, Angie! GIVE HER A RAISE!
One of my grandson’s favorite places to eat and I can see why everything was very fresh and delicious in the service on point
Excellent Japanese restaurant with fresh ingredients and super friendly service. It’s always been a great experience for both myself and my husband. We’ve been coming to Sushi Ai over the last couple years and have always enjoyed it whether for dinner or lunch in their cute outdoor patio. Highly recommended! 🍣🍱
This is my fave local sushi spot, especially for happy hour on a sunny afternoon. Outdoor seating, great service, delicious food, decent happy hour and gluten free options.
I love this place! The sushi is always fresh and delicious. I try to go when I am in town. The prices are fair and parking is easy.
Moved to the area recently, this is the best sushi spot I’ve tried so far(out of 3). It’s not the cheapest but the food is high quality. I’ll definitely be back.
It was our first time eating at Ai sushi that is located at hillhurst the taste off the sushi was so fresh and delicious Thank for our host Emma she is a wonderful and patient host.I order the bake muscles woww they taste so.yummy

Great food! Grabbed chicken teriyaki and beers. Clean restrooms, clean restaurant. Friendly staff.
If you’re looking for some of the best sushi in Los Angeles, this spot is a must-visit! One of my favorite dishes is the poke bowl, which is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I also can't get enough of the crispy rice topped with spicy tuna—its delightful crunch adds a wonderful texture, and the spiciness is just right. The crispy onions roll is another favorite. Plus, they have a kid's menu, making it a great place for families to enjoy a meal together. You won’t be disappointed!
We visited LA to go to Disneyland, but we also drove to the Griffith Observatory. We hit this restaurant on our way back from the observatory. We’re really glad we did! The food was delicious, and the service was kind and friendly. We’d gladly stop back here if we are ever in the area again!
Freshest fish I had at this price point. Possibly the best toro I've had any where. Great location for dinner before heading to The Greek. I'll definitely be coming back here and will be thinking about their sushi!
They are respectfull and very freindly, when there super late and they were kind and helpful for a first timer, will return

They give huge slabs of fish, which was surprising. I like their sushi sashimi combo - I was too full to even finish it which was surprising. Service was good for a raining Monday night. The hot sake was discounted cause of the rain!
Very good service and easy parking

The Food, Service, and Atmosphere was a wonderful experience. I would adore and love to have lunch there again. Also the food wasn't filling, I have to remind myself that I can eat alot 😋. Such great things in life are expensive I suppose. I Will Recommend This Place To Others In The Future. ALSO Not Far From Griffin Park, so Great To Eat And Hike Away Any Tireness, Which Didn't Come To Me 😊

Cute neighborhood spot for sushi. It used to be a go to but the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down consistently over the past few years. I assume they are yet another victim of Los Feliz rent hikes - but they REALLY need to improve their quality if they are going to keep customers.
Gyozas are good , also crispy tuna is good , but the sushi craft is very poor . Rice ratio is way off and doesn’t sticks to the piece . Last time I order sushi from this place .

Disappointed and Concerned – A Warning to Fellow Diners The restaurant staff were friendly and professional, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience was deeply disappointing and ultimately, dangerous to my health. When I first sat down, I noticed a fly buzzing around. I let it go, thinking it was no big deal. But by the end of my meal, I was being swarmed and bitten by what I can only describe as large horse flies. This is clearly not a service issue but a serious hygiene and sanitation concern. I spoke with a manager who, unfortunately, dismissed it entirely and offered no resolution. The next day, I came down with a severe case of dysentery. I called the restaurant and not only was I met with denial, but I was accused of lying. I have documentation of my illness and have reported it to the health department and from what I’ve seen in their past reviews , I’m not the first person to raise concerns like this. As someone who cooks with and is closely connected to chefs like Beth Aretsky, Aretsky Patroon, and the late Anthony Bourdain, I know the difference between an off night and a fundamental problem. Unfortunately, this was the latter. A restaurant’s integrity is tested not when things go right, but when something goes wrong and in this case, they failed. I sincerely hope they take action before someone else ends up worse off.
