The best big carne asada, pastor and cabeza tacos for only $2 each. Can't beat that price nowadays. Burritos are also very good and gigantic for under $10 bucks.
The food here is so delicious, I tried the tacos and burritos, the tripas are crispy, the cabeza is so flavorful and juicy, the lengua was tender, so far everything I've had here is the best tacos and burritos ive ever had. I keep going back to try something new and I'm never disappointed.

La Estrella is hands down one of the best places to grab a quick bite in Boyle Heights. The carne asada tacos are absolutely delicious, and the salsas are on point. The staff is super friendly and gives off such a welcoming vibe. I love the casual, no-frills atmosphere here. Great spot for authentic Mexican food without the touristy prices

Been coming here for a very long time. When I was young I used to come at night to the truck that would be outside. Apples are always good and large tortillas. Prices are decent. Must at least 12 hours

I've always bought there tacos and sopes which are good. But having to wait around til they notice you. Not Cool!
Food was great. Place was full when I got there. We had to claim the table since there was no one assigning seats. We sat down, people burly left so it wasn't clean. The lady came took the plates, left a wet rag. I cleaned the table myself. She came back and took our order. Food came in quick. There's loud music playing and the space is small. It's no Dennys but the food is A1
We only go there for the food. Service is meh. Dine in area is so small so not ideal if you want to eat there. Otherwise, food is so good.
I had a burrito pastor, it was good size, plenty flavorful and affordable, good for a small quick lunch.
