Hands down the most authentic Irish pub I've had the pleasure of visiting in California, if not the entire country. The food is great, the decor is spot on, and the ale selection is superb. I'll definitely be swinging by the next time I'm in LA!

I love you Tom Bergin’s! The atmosphere 10/10, the music - always amazing, the staff - so friendly and kind and always remember’s our dog’s name, and the food is truly excellent. How is it that we had a better steak here than at the fanciest steakhouse in the neighborhood? Best fries, salads, DESSERTS 🤤 Everything is knockout. Suggestion: when ordering a burger, get an extra patty as they are thin smash patties. Wish the buns were slightly less bread heavy to balance out the meat portion. But, that’s of no consequence when rating this place. It’s the best 🏆.

Went on Saint Patrick’s day and they made sure to put on a great environment with different vibes outside and inside. Staff was very nice, professional and ready to help. We surely had to queue to get in and for a drink but pints were of very good quality. Will be definitely bringing my Irish boyfriend back.

What a great place! I have tried and enjoyed the Parmesan Wings, the Fish 'n Chips, and the Wolf Mother Burger with 'slaw. The Brussel Sprouts are delicious. I have also tried their Irish Coffee and it's amazing! Friendly people and good service. When I'm in the area, I can't wait to come back!

Old world charm is the best way to describe Bergen’s. I was impressed most of all with the center bar area which was relocated to this location from a previous location on Wilshire Boulevard. I believe in the 30s or 50s they have a background story there that can be read. Anthony Bourdain would call it a old man’s bar. However, the clientele is not all old L O L. I had the Irish cream which was delicious as well as a Casamigos reposado with lime. Our bartender, who is very professional and fun to talk to. Her drinks were amazing. At the moment they have a band until the end of August that plays outside. You would do well for yourself to go check it out !

Love the divey pub feel that really makes you feel like your in Europe Can get very very crowded even though it’s a pretty decent full bar that goes from both sides! The burgers are absolutely delicious and decently priced! The drinks are a decent price as well! The bartenders are super nice and the crowd has a good vibe All in all this is a greatt bar, perfect to come watch some sports and chill with the friends

Such a classic place. The ceiling is plastered with names of patrons going back generations. If you've never been, do yourself a favor and go.

Tom Bergin's is a classic LA pub with tons of old-school charm. The Irish coffee is a must-try—strong, creamy, and perfectly made. The cozy vibe, vintage decor, and friendly staff make it feel like a neighborhood gem. Great spot for drinks, hearty food, and good conversation. A true local favorite!

This place has become my favorite place to go after work either for food or a drink. The place is always so lively, and you can even have a nice conversation in the dining room space. If you stay in the bar space it may get pretty loud, but at least it's clean and especially the restrooms are as well. I love getting the patty melt, wings, and the fish and chips. The steak was alright, but honestly not worth the wait.

Outstanding place to watch a game and talk to folks with a welcoming smile and sense of humor. Food is good as always. Shepherds pie, chicken wings, salad and bread pudding for dessert. Don’t forget the Guinness, Irish Coffee and Glenlivet. Yep, what a good time. Even found my name on the ceiling.

Great experience! Stopped in for a quick bite and pint and the pub charm was outstanding. Loved the wooden build and how it just had this charmingly old feel. Patty Melt was great, really well seasoned patty which makes me wanna try their ribe eye burgers. Fish and Chips were good, especially the tartar, but one of them was overcooked, with rubbery fish and batter that was way too crunchy. Mild complaints tho, I would definitely come back/recommend!

We love Tom Bergins for the old memories when Chris Doyle was a bartender. The food wasnt so good this visit..mushy Shepherds Pie, Shredded corned beef but the bar was excellent. Their Private Whiskey Tasting Room is going to be awesome & we can't wait for the opening.

Their wolf mother burger was amazing! I only wish it was bigger. It felt like it was a slider. I could have easily ate one or two more of them. I'll probably come back for another one. The fish and chips was good. The fries had a good texture to them. We ordered two different whiskey drinks. Their version of a whiskey sour that uses honey was very good. But their whiskey mule was not amazing. Solid Irish pub for sure. If anything a little pricey. But I guess it comes with the neighborhood.

This place is great! Bar staff were top notch: friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. Parking was easy. Seating was ample (although everyone seemed to crowd around the bar). Food was served quick and hit the spot. This place might not win any beauty contests but I will definitely be back!

What a cute Irish pub. From the decor and the menu, it is simple and nice. I loved the hot apple cider with Irish gin and that sherperd's pie was amazing. Also, love that this place is so dog friendly. Just cozy and warm. This place is good for a casual date, drinks or meal with friends of 3 to 10!

It's been maybe 6-8 months since I last ate at Tom Bergin's. The food is greasier and portions smaller. Ordering diner at the bar is still annoying and the beer list never seems up to date. Regardless it's an LA institution and I'll probably be back in another 6-8 months.

Nice decor. Good selection of Irish food and drinks. They are more friendly with their regular customers. Ignored us few times while ordering the drinks and went directly to the people who didn’t wait as much as we did. I wouldn’t make a note if it was just a one time coincidence but it happened few times at the bar. Well, I’m traveling and not local to LA and I didn’t like their behaviour

If you are not a local or know someone who works at the place don't bother going here. We did not feel welcome. The bartenders don't even care how long you have been waiting to order food or a drink. Already out of chicken wings and IPA at 6pm on a Sunday. They suggested us to get fried pickles. Rather a bad experience.

Hands down, one of the worst, unnecessarily tense, borderline racist, and uncomfortably irritating dinning experiences of my life. I'd like to give this place the benefit of the doubt that is victim of poor management in choosing (and tolerating) an embarrassingly pretentious, entitled waitstaff who treats the bar like their own personal club house. I almost forgot about my experience at this place until I was driving down Fairfax the following week with my family on the way to the Petersen Automotive. They were curious to try out the restaurant and quickly changed their minds after sharing my experience. During my visit, I walked in to see if I could score a quick, happy hour meal during my 30min break while working down the street. Being a part of the service industry, I respect my fellow waitstaff by treating their businesses with humility. Beginning with me walking inside and waiting to be sat rather than feel entitled to take a seat anywhere I want. I literally made eye contact with two of the three bartenders present and neither of which even bothered to say hello or let me know that I could sit anywhere. I quietly made my way to a corner of the bar and waited for one of them to approach me. Nothing. It wasn't until a tattooed female bartender walked past me to approach what I assumed were some regulars at the bar that were sitting next to me. With time running out and my belly asking for something to fill up. I greeted the bartender myself and asked to see a happy hour menu, if any. She gave me the only bar menu available, which is understandable, but, again, no communication on her part. No etiquette whatsoever to signal that they have no happy hour menu. As if to say: "This is what we have. Take it or leave it." While I browsed the menu (which, admittedly, contained a few budget friendly options that were delicious), she reached over for my half empty bottle of cold brew I brought with me and said: "Can I take care of this for you?" To which I responded that I still working on it, but, thanked her regardless. She gave me a snide glare of disapproval like I was clipping my toe nails over the bar while people were eating. (Sorry, I'm sleep deprived and didn't want to buy a drink that would make me sleepy. Or, get me in trouble at work. Is that ok?!) Didn't return the uncouth gesture and just placed my order. When I did so, she asked if I wanted to open a tab. Since I was only eating one thing, I thought it would be a good idea to close the tab. But, occasionally, co workers ask me to pick up something for them to save their trip and enjoy their breaks longer. So, I chose to keep it open. When I told her that I only have my phone, she said that she needed a card and that she needs to close the tab as I go each time I buy something. Never. NEVER IN MY LIFE, up to this point, have I ever been asked to close as I go when I make a purchase at a restaurant or bar. Too bad for the "bartender of the century" because my ticket could have easily climbed to $40 to $60 if I had ordered some food to go. Guess my money is no good here. I shouldn't have tipped the "bartender of the century" working the counter, but, again, out of respect for my fellow industry members. I left a 20% grat' on a $20 purchase. Apparently that wasn't enough, because, after I requested a glass of water with a lime. She proceeded to make her rounds greeting her friends around the bar. Completely ignoring my request that I ended up having to ask the food runner to help me with. I can't recall his name, but, he was nice fellow who shook my hand and introduced himself after I thanked him for being so gracious. The rest of my meal consisted of more snide glares from the bartenders occasionally glancing my way to expedite me to leave. And, frankly, I would have left this miserable place early if not for the fact that I was hungry and short on time. To this place's credit, yea, the food was delicious.
