Tip: Order with less sweetness (75% or below) as some drinks can be very sweet. The popcorn chicken and tofu snacks are highly recommended.

Very cool place with a tempting selection of all kinds of "dessert" drinks and bites to eat. I can't recommend enough the taro/coconut/milk drink to which I add creme brulee...
An awesome boba shop with an extensive and unique menu! I sampled their “mochi” that they commonly add to milk tea and it had the coolest, stickiest, fluffiest texture and tasted like vanilla marshmallows. I got a fruit tea so I didn’t add the mochi but I will be back to have it with milk tea. It’s super cool and I recommend you to try it. The fruit tea was very refreshing and the jasmine blended so well with the fresh watermelon bits and passion fruit. Super yummy. To me, the boba tasted a tiny bit like tortilla chips ?? That may seem gross but I don’t mean it in a gross way—I think it just had more of a savory taste than a sweet taste, but the sweetness of the tea balanced that out. The consistency of the boba was just perfect. Give this place a try!
Tried the 3Q milk tea and the Mango Pomelo Sago (if ordering online, grapefruit=pomelo here, as we did no grapefruit and there was no pomelo, only mango) loved both the drinks. We felt Mango drink could have taken more mango, and told the employee (I didn't get his name, but was wearing a turban), he was very helpful and mentioned they blended fresh mangoes and mango jam, and so he'd have to remake the drink. Since there were a lot of waiting customers, I opted instead for sugar syrup which he was nice enough to give in a small cup. I'd recommend this place 💯 for both it's drinks and a good experience with nice staff.
Get the lychee and peach green tea slush! It comes with lychee jelly and it was delicious and refreshing. I also tried the popcorn chicken and it was the perfect afternoon pick-me-up. There's a small parking lot out front and no seating inside. The plaza is small and not too busy so parking was easy. I'll definitely be back for that slush when I'm in the area.
Best boba spot in LA. Even though it is 1hr drive for me but the store always waits for me last minutes. My favorite spot for boba and snack
I’ve been desperately looking for an authentic quality boba milk tea place in the LA area and I’m happy to have found Ume Tea! I had the creme brulee milk tea w/ boba and the drink was top notch—the tea was flavorful and the creme brulee was super rich and smooth. Also tried the popcorn chicken and fried tofu and both were delicious as well! Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the drinks and food. Highly recommend this place!
Overall: 4.7/5 (take out) My friend and I were exploring Santa Monica pier and it was cold so we wanted to get hot drinks. Ume Tea was the best option for warm drinks so we decided to stop by. The store is small and located in a little plaza with limited parking spots. If you have a low car, be careful since one side was really steep. Everything about Ume is cute from the sign outside to the decor inside. They have 2 digital ordering stations which allowed us to take our time and browse the menu with pictures. The drinks came out fairly quickly after we put in our order. Hot Rose Tie Guanyin Tea ($3.95) + Coconut Pudding ($0.50): I got a regular size tea with 70% sweetness level which was pretty sweet for me so I would go for 50% sweetness level next time. The rose flavor stood out and went surprisingly well with the coconut pudding. I rarely order hot milk tea or non-milk tea drinks so this was a huge win in my book!
we just might be addicted to Ume Tea...we have quite the collection of 'stuffies' and have referred nearly every friend with kids who like boba here! Probably should have kept it secret since the lines are getting long! But so worth it! Delicious, satisfying drinks and fun surprises. They have a new summer cup design and now you can get Ume Bunny Surprise cups with most of the drinks on their menu!
Hands down one of the best taro and boba in the area!! I ordered their taro with coconut pudding and boba also aloe! You can substitute the milk for oat milk and adjust sugar and ice level! The boba and taro were so tasty even my little one couldn’t get enough of it! The cups are so cute too! Totally coming back here!
Drinks are amazing! We got the caffeine free brown sugar tea with strawberry popping boba and the taro milk tea with mango popping boba! Tasted amazing!! I love when places offer a great variety of caffeine free drinks as well as popping boba! They also have surprise cups with stuffed animals which is so cute!
One of my favorite boba shops which is a rare find on the west side of LA. I luvvvv having the option to subtitute boba for sago (think tiny bobas). My usual order is the creme brulee milk tea with sago and a side of popcorn fried chicken (the best I’ve eva had). The fried tofu is to die for tooo. I probably come here at least once a week. One downside was that I received an e-giftcard from my friends for graduation and I wasn’t able to use it at this location even though the gc didn’t specify where I could/couldn’t use it. They refunded it to my friend after I emailed them though
Very welcoming and has always helped with the best recommendations!!! Definitely one of my top Milk Tea hot spots! My favorite part about this place is the MOCHI it’s the best. And I love how customizable the drinks are, because I’m not gonna lie I’m picky with boba and picky about sugar level. But the staff is always happy to apply customizations. The inside is also extremely cute, which was what drew me in. 🥰
This is a great tea place with a great variety of options. I tried the ube latte with oat milk and coconut pudding. I had not had such a combination before and the coconut pudding was really interesting. I do wish there was more ube flavor as the milk was strong. Also the Thai tea with creme brulee was a fun twist in regular Thai Iced tea. They do make both with condensed milk that you cannot substitute, so just be aware if you are lactose intolerant.
"The tea was great, but they should put a label or something. I was slurping for my life trying to get to that toy." We didn't realize it was a cup within a cup. 😂 Probably a cup re-design so people can place their cup down after "opening" it for the toy. It's so cute!! We love the toy. Totally made the order worth it. The drinks are a cool experience. Very yummy. Thank you all, and happy holidays!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 I’ve tried so many boba tea spots in Sawtelle and NONE of them come close to Ume. Other places always give me watery tea and stale boba, but Ume is perfection. Their boba is fresh every time, and when I order 30% sweetness, I actually get 30% sweetness. Everything tastes just right. My new go-to spot!
Best Boba in LA. Bobas Warm and cooked to Perfection. Great flavors including the classics. Couldn’t love it more it was better that the boba it Japan. 1000/10 could not say enough good things.
We’re obsessed with Ume Tea! The flavors are insanely good – bold, fresh, and never too sweet. The boba is pure perfection, and every drink feels like a little piece of heaven. The vibe is chill, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Can’t get enough of this place – it’s our go-to bubble tea spot!
Stopped in this weekend for our first time because we both had our usual Boba craving and wanted to try someplace new. I am happy to say that Ume exceeded expectations and I already want to go back again to try more flavors. As with most Boba places they have a lot of great options on the menu and all different types of drinks. It was really hard to choose just one drink so I ended up choosing two. Parking is pretty easy in this area and pricing is fair. We decided to order via the kiosk and everything that we ordered was ready within 8 minutes. Inside is pretty small, there aren’t any tables to eat in, but there are some tables to wait while your food is being prepared. It is definitely more of a to-go type of place. For my first time I wanted to try one of their classics and one of their newer drinks. I ordered the Crème Brûlée Boba and really loved it. It had the flavors that I expected and it was perfectly sweet. I also ordered a new drink which was the Strawberry Yogurt Slush with Crystal Boba. I will say that I prefer traditional or popping Boba more than crystal Boba, but still the liquid flavors in it were very good. I would just replace the crystal Boba if I were to order it again. I’ve also heard that their chicken is really good so next time I will try some of their savory items. I would definitely recommend to any fan of Boba.
5 stars I had an amazing experience at Ume Tea, and I just had to leave a review! I ordered the Taro Fresh Milk with Milk Pudding, and let me tell you—it was absolutely delicious. The taro flavor was rich and smooth without being overly sweet, and the fresh milk added a creamy, refreshing touch that balanced everything perfectly. What really stood out was the milk pudding—so soft, silky, and flavorful. It added a fun texture that made every sip even more enjoyable. The drink was not only delicious but also beautifully made. You can tell they care about quality and presentation. I’ve tried taro drinks at other spots before, but this one easily tops them all. It might honestly be one of the best taro milk drinks I’ve ever had. On top of that, the customer service was fantastic. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and patient with my questions. They even made a few recommendations, which I appreciated. Everything was made quickly, but still with care. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the product and the experience so well. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re a fan of taro, or even if you’re just curious to try something new. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!
A great new boba shop! They have a very fun and creative menu, which makes me want to come back to try everything. The toppings have been excellent so far with great chewy texture. The snacks are also awesome! Especially the popcorn chicken.
Great concept of different prizes (plushies, toys, etc) in drinks. I had lower expectations for my order as I assumed the focus would be on the toy, but I was pleasantly surprised by my taro drink. The taro was plentiful and fresh and mixed well with the milk, and the price was very reasonable.
The drinks at this spot are fantastic, and the service is just as great! I highly recommend the black tea latte with taro and the popcorn chicken! The flavor for the tea was perfectly balanced - not too sweet, just right. The popcorn chicken is so tender and juicy. A must try!
drinks here are delicious and the drinkable mochi is a must try — it’s like milk pudding and boba had a baby! tried it in the classic black boba milk tea and it was SO good. 10/10 recommend!
Omg! This boba spot is the best when it comes to drinks! They are so cute looking (packaging and appearance), unique and most importantly delicious. I've never been to the actual place, I just order from Uber eats and even then, the drinks arrive at the perfect temperature with the greatest taste. The first time I tried the creme brulee milk tea w/Boba and it was so creamy and amazing. I like how you can choose the level of sweetness. I always go with 50% and it's the best of both worlds. 🥰 The second time I tried their passion fruit slush w/lychee jelly and again, delicious! It was so refreshing. The spicy popcorn chicken is good too. It comes with sweet and sour sauce. It's the perfect snack. I definitely want to check it out in person since the inside is so cute and modern. I might just buy some merchandise as well. 😃

Visiting from out of town and this place popped up on Uber eats. Since I love bubble tea I had to give it a try, glad I did! The Jasmine Tea with little sweetness, regular boba and coconut pudding was amazing! Very refreshing pairing with the popcorn chicken which was still crispy after delivery. The chicken was excellent though for some mild it may be a little on the spicy side. I had the sweet and sour sauce so it cut it down a bit along with the fantastic tea. Highly recommend to give this place a try if you are in the area.

Ume Tea is so adorable and kawaii! The service was great. They have an extensive menu with so many options like milk teas, fruit teas, yogurts, slushies, and matcha. My favorite was the tanghulu yogurt drink. Plus snacks like fried tofu and popcorn chicken! There is a small lot for parking.

Cute bunny-themed boba spot in Culver. Came here with my boyfriend to get a quick boba fix. The machines weren’t working so we placed an order with the cashier, and the order came out fairly quickly. There was a slight hiccup as we had offered the jasmine green tea and we were given the jasmine milk tea, but it wasn’t the end of the world. We still enjoyed the drink and there was a good amount of boba. The decor inside is really cute and they have a wide variety of drinks as well as some food options. There’s a small free parking lot in front or you can also park in the Wells Fargo lot next door.
I tell ya I was so dry and just thristy and I know thoose bootled drinks would just leave me even more thristed. So I Google mapped tea in this area and Ume I was directed to. Refreshing,Reviving and Ume Real Cuteness. Affordable with reusable cups . Inside while you wait the kids drawing and painting of Ume are a pleasure . So stop on in when the area
Overpriced food for small portions, drinks are pretty good trade overall and they always have a mystery gift cup that a woman in your life will always appreciate. There's always something new each time in there.
Ordered boba drink here which is near my place, i like the tofu snack must try.
Discovered this new boba shop today. They are celebrating their Anniversary therefore a long line at night. They have 3 kiosks for self-ordering. You can also order at the register if paying cash. The milk tea is not the best but I’m in love with their toppings. Taro and boba are fresh and delicious. I also tried the mango pomelo drink which is amazing. The drink is not too sweet so I went with 100% sugar. I’d say it’s perfect for me. I also find their food items fresh and delicious. We tried the curly fries and popcorn chicken. Both are delicious. Would definitely come back again.
Got the cookie creme brulee boba milk tea with less ice and 50% sweet. Recommend getting 75% and below sweetness because the creme brûlée is already sweet. Pretty quick service and tasty drinks. You can pay extra to have a surprise plushie at the bottom of your cup.

Lovely vibes inside. The staff is very friendly and the place looks so inviting. Their drinks also tasty - minus the mango ones maybe. I think there’s something off about their mango flavoring / syrup. Some of my favorites include the rose milk tea and the lemon green tea. I also enjoy their popcorn chicken but the prices have gotten noticeably higher.
I used to live close by almost went there every weekend it’s so good. Their boba is so soft. Nowadays still go once in a while. It’s got busy always inside the store it’s kind of tiny inside. Parking is packed. But it doesn’t take more than 10 minutes. Last time placed the order online it’s force me to tip, which isn’t right.

We got 2 suprise cups. Got the Taro slush with boba. The slush was good but the boba was over-cooked and super slimey. Also got the coconut slush with watermelon. It was not what I expected. It had pooping pearls inside of it, cut up watermelon and the watermelon seeds, and a strawberry slice. None of these were told about what was in the drink. It was very disappointing because i would have ordered something else if I know all this other stuff and seeds were in it.
Everything is so heavy and sweet here. Not many normal combos. Everything has green tea or some type of milk/dairy. The caffeine-free menu has no real “slushie”-type options. I’ll just go to more normal places. Customer service was okay; I tipped.

The mango slush with crystal boba is so bad I stopped drinking after one sip. Dont order. I have to order at a nearby coffee bean to get adark chocolate ice blended to satisfy my sugar cravings. They have no restroom. The server seems not very friendly. They dont even look in your eyes when handling your order. Feels like I got your money here's your order, now leave.
