Macedon Hills has become our ''go to place" Anything on the menu is great..we've had just about all dishes at one time or another. Meal portions are more than adequate. The wait. staff..seems to go out of their way to accommodate the customer..prices and portions are more than adequate. The manager and staff are VERY appreciative for your patronage and make it a point to say so.. before you leave...a nice gesture on their parts as well!..A class act! D/V

I love this diner. Been coming here since I was in high school. Really great memories of coming here for breakfast with my younger brother and mom. The staff has always been so friendly and the food is so dang delicious. I haven't been in a while and now I really want to go this weekend!

Not only is their food good, but their sandwiches come without a side, which is helpful when a sandwich is enough and if you want to save a few bucks. I wish more places would do that.

Restaurant very busy, had a 10 min wait however, our waitress was exceptional and never let the full capacity interfere with her happy attitude. Food was delicious. Family type restaurant. Highly recommend.

I basically come here weekly...from out of town none the less. This place is great, but expect what you can expect from a family diner. They have soups of the day which is unfortunate since if you get something you like one day you may not be so fortuitous on your next visit.

We're here a couple of times a month. It's our favorite local restaurant! Great food, wonderful service. They are improving the menu choices, and adding great meals! The fish tacos were awesome! One month later and the fish tacos still rock.

This is definitely the best family dining experience in Macedon - if you haven't tried it, you definitely should! We used to eat here all the time years ago, but stopped going because the service and food was less than desirable. However, lately things have made a great change for the better and now we look forward to going - breakfast, lunch or dinner! Be sure to ask for Nichole or Maurene - best servers around!!

Stopped for a quick dinner Saturday night... Excellent food. Staff was very nice and attentive. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back more often..... Update.. stopped in for breakfast. Unfortunately things have changed. The staff, still very nice. Quality of the food, still good. The prices..OUTRAGEOUS.. Breakfast for 2... $50. I understand this is a business that needs to make a profit, but $50 for breakfast is just to much. I double checked the bill. It was ours. Sorry, we just can't justify that much money for a simple breakfast. We'll have to find somewhere else

We usually have breakfast here which is always good. Stopped for dinner this time and Deanna was our server and she was fantastic! Best ever out of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Food was delicious too! Loved the Sicilian panini!

Husband and I went for a late lunch/eary dinner. My fish sandwich was great. The bread was perfect, the batter was crisp and the fish was hot and flaky. My husband’s broiled haddock was cooked to perfection and buttery. Sue was excellent taking care of us.

The food here is excellent every time. However you can get that lots of places. The reason that we have recently started driving 30 minutes to this place for breakfast most weekends is the waitress Kelly. I can say with absolute confidence she is the best waitress I’ve ever encountered. She’s is not only extremely kind and genuinely loves what she’s doing, but is by far the most attentive and skilled waitress I’ve seen. Going so far as to remember our names and orders, has our drink refills as we are sipping the last of our current ones and always making sure we are taken care of at every moment. All while doing the exact same thing for at least 5 full surrounding tables. Cleaning other empty ones and cashing people out, all without a genuine smile ever leaving her face. Kelly also shared things about her that make what she does even more inspiring and impressive. If you eat here, be sure to give Kelly (along with any of other waitresses/servers) the best tip you can. I can assure you that after several experiences she wholeheartedly deserves it.

Had a great business meeting there. Came during a low time, the waitress had time to be very personable. This increased the experience. Food was excellent.

Well, my first time there and I was impressed of their hospitality. Extremely friendly and a comfortable admosphere. The owner from Infinite Auto, Jim, recommended mother and I to visit while he worked on my SUV. The restaurant is clean and truly spacious. The ladies are friendly and were attentive to my order of food. The service was great and homely. The parking lot is huge, so, I gather they really get busy. And, if busy, they have a comfortable waiting room where you are welcome to sit. The food is so delicious that I bought a few take home dinners. The only thing I noticed was they only have one single restroom. Mother and I enjoyed the outing very much. 😉🌹

This restaurant is a diamond in the ruff. All the food we ordered was top notch. You get a lot of bang for your buck. let me tell you, my son wanted the adult grill cheese and tomato soup, only tomato was not the soup of the day,. The owner was sitting there behind us and asked my son if he would like the tomato soup that he had freshly made for tomorrow. My son said ok. Their homemade tomato soup is to die for. Their greek fries are fire and their chicken stir fry puts our hibachi in idaho to shame. I had the macedon burger.i added tomato. Every bite was delicious. This restaurant treats you like family. Thank you for the wonderful experience, next time we pass through we will definitely stop in and have a bite. You have our business years to come.

This is a fairly standard family restaurant/diner. Comfy booths. Super friendly staff. Good food. It's not a five-star spot with white table clothes. Come here for a proper breakfast, a milkshake, or some lunch or dinner. The waitstaff is incredibly patient and pleasant when dealing with children or if they're getting ready to close. Been coming here for 30+ years and never had a bad experience.

Omg! Love this place! Humongous menu options from burgers to panini, meatloaf to salads. Lots of comfort food options and their desserts are all homemade. Staff is super friendly and welcoming to all their repeat and new customers. Definitely a go-to when we don’t feel like cooking dinner. This diner was a delight to visit. They serve breakfast all day every day except Friday after 5:00 p. m. I had a veggie and cheese omelet that was fluffy and delicious. The vegetables were fresh and diced to the perfect size. The split pea soup was so good. We also ordered chicken fingers with ranch. The ranch dressing had amazing flavor, as it was homemade. This is a great place for an affordable meal that tastes fresh and homemade.

When I want to eat out and don't want to spend a lot of time either waiting in line or for service, then I go to this restaurant. Friendly service, generous portions served up hot and reasonable prices make for a winning combination!

The diner formerly known as "Macedon Hills" isn't as good as it was under the previous owners. The prices jumped pretty significantly and the menu items really changed. It used to be our go-to for a quick dinner, but we don't go much anymore. My husband loves breakfast for dinner so he's happy because it's always the same and delicious. I like more variety and the few different things I have tried just aren't as good. And they removed some of the legacy items and won't allow the kitchen to still make them.

I love there California BLT. Most of the soups I have tried have been wonderful. The chicken wrap my husband has had was,a disappointment for him do to the chicken is over cooked. But worth a stop if you are,in the area. And they make there own potato chips!! Love those

I stopped there for breakfast one Saturday morning. I sat at the counter and got served right away. Staff was very friendly and so was the waitresses. Had a great meal. Fun atmosphere and will go there again. She kept the coffee coming till I couldn't have no more. Even the people who sat next to me were very friendly. It was either them or McDonalds. I am happy I chose them. More friendlier. And I met new people. Great service!!!

My friends and I met there for dinner. It was my first time there. The staff was friendly and polite. We all had the fish fry. It was one of the best I've had. Would I go back again? Yes

My mother and I stopped in for lunch for the first time on a Monday afternoon, she'll be moving around the corner from the other side of Roc. With that said, we wanted to love it but we weren't impressed. We ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and a roast beef dinner and it was just OK, ingredients tasted low quality similar to hospital or school cafeteria food. On a positive note, our server was wonderful. We'll try it one more time for breakfast because of the location, but we've already had better food at other similar restaurants in the area. Hopefully it's better next time and it was just a bad day.

Friday fish fry was very good. Battered fish was thick and good size. Side salad with baked potato was solid. Only negatives were mediocre A/C on a hot evening and our waitress was a complete mess. She forgot multiple items and mixed up our drinks & dishes.

I am a regular diner at Macedon Hills. Once the new owner took over, the restaurant took a significant turn to improvement. Many of the previous wait staff returned, and it felt very comfortable again. The food they serve is plentiful and delicious. Their Pot Roast is incredible. However, twice in two weeks we have been seated at one of the new waitresses' table, and the service was terrible. One Thursday (10/7), my wife watched our food placed under the warmer from the cooks, and our dinners stayed there for twenty minutes. Then this past Friday, we had a party of six, and we watched 4 other tables of four be seated after us, get their food before us, and even leave the restaurant after their meal before we got our food. This was unacceptable. I wish I knew the bad waitresses' name. I think it's Jen. But there are several wait staff that are excellent. I'd ask for Sue, Maureen, Bonnie, Kelly, Nicole, Nick, but not Jen or the other newer one. I stand corrected. The bad service was from Carla.

Good atmosphere- quick seating on a busy Sunday morning. Service was great. My only complaint is you could taste that the grease was old & needed changing in the home fries. Couldn't finish. Otherwise, eggs, sausage & toast were great.

It's places like this that makes me a sucker for diners. There is a good amount of food options available for breakfast and lunch, and everything has always been cooked well and served quickly, even if it is busy.

Food was hot and delicious. Got it to go and was still hot when it was time to eat.

This has become one of our new favorite places until last night and that’s what kept me from giving 5 stars. Service has always been fast, friendly & accurate until this last visit. I’m not sure if our server was having a bad night or new but definitely in need of some extra training. Timing on meal arrival was off so we got our appetizer & entrees all at once- ok fine, no big deal. But then our orders were both missing the sauce to go with them, we asked for them but only received and then our waitress disappeared until she came over to ask if we needed a box for leftovers. We asked for the missing item and the check. She never asked how everything was or checked on refills. The table next to us seem to be having similar issues from what we could hear. Our server and the hostess seemed to spend most of the time we were there behind the counter complaining to each other about something instead of checking on tables. I hesitated to leave a review but had this been our first visit we wouldn’t have been back. Fortunately we’ve never encountered this issue before and hopefully won’t have a repeat

We didn't have time to actually eat. Waited 15 minutes after getting seated and we only had 45 more minutes so we decided we probably didn't have time to order and get the food. Staff were pleasant and hostess sat us quickly.

Decent food. A little higher priced than other diners in our area but not outlandish. Waitress didn't seem to know what came with some of the foods though as we got an appetizer that came with a dip and I got a French dip for my meal. For each The waitress brought out the food without the dip and then seemed surprised when she went back to the line and there were dip for the food.

The food was ok mostly over cooked. The service was not the best in my opinion and had to ask for different things repeatedly. The atmosphere was not the greatest experience it really could use a make over and be updated.

Waitress was nice. My food came out later than our other guests, so that was awkward sitting there while everyone ate. It was a while, to the point I was asked by another guest, "where's yours?" In addition to being the last served, my food was way overcooked, and one of my salt potatoes was gray ( like rotten gray) I pointed it out to the waitress who took it back to show the cooks, and promptly brought back fresh ones for me. Everyone else was happy with their meals, and the waitress was helpful. This is why I'm giving three stars instead of two.

The food was mediocre at best. Service and friendly wait staff I would give 4 and a half stars. I had asked for a make-your-own omelet, choosing my own ingredients as I like specific things and nothing on their menu was, so I couldn't just add or 86* something. That said, the waitress said absolutely and when I did receive the omelet I did not get what I had asked for even closely. Probably a kitchen issue but possibly a waitress issue. To be fair, I did not give them an opportunity to right the mistake but because I didn't have the time for a re-order, I was left with the mistake. I would be willing to try again!

Our second time here for breakfast and probably our last. The food was good and we liked the large sized coffee mugs. A la carte is fine but honestly how much does it cost to include a potato side during breakfast? We did in fact order two sides of home fries but didn't receive them. We weren't charged so we laughed it off as I guess we didn't need them. $38 for eggs, coffee including tip.

This is a nice sized restaurant that is clean with plenty of seating. The downside is the booth I had the seat was in disrepair with very large cracks that are right where you sit so it wasn't very comfortable to sit on. Prices are about average for now days and the food was decent but don't expect a omelet because it's a scramble not a true omelet.... Also don't order the home fries because their old and there were hard pieces that I just about broke my teeth on!!! Now I can say the service was very good, also she made sure we got anything we needed. Of course I would give her name if she'd told us it or was wearing a name tag.

Very frustrated that businesses are charging more money to use credit cards. I don't carry alot of cash. I have eaten at this restaurant for 11 years. I won't be going back because of this.

The prices are high for what you get. If you order a sandwich or burger, that's all they give you. Fries, chips, or any side is extra. The French dip was $10 and there was so little meat it didn't even cover the roll they put it on. The weren't that busy but the service wasn't great unless you were sitting with the "cute guys" in the back booth. The waitresses seemed to give them a lot of attention. It had been a long time since we stopped there. It will be a lot longer before we go back.

Not following the problems today, service was on the low side of adequate, brought us one napkin each for a table full of toddlers, and silverware as needed one piece at a time. The eggs are also over cooked and we waited forever for our order. Not impressed today.

Hadn't been here in years until last week. There's always a sign up that they're hiring for a cook. We had breakfast. No jellies or sweeteners on the table and the server did not check on us after our food arrived. Food was unremarkable and seemed like reheated microwave entrees. No refills were offered on coffee

While the service was fairly quick, the "Philly cheese steak" I ordered was more of a warm, thick-sliced steak sandwich. Very little seasoning, and almost no flavor. When I remarked to my waitress that it wasn't what I expected, she answered "yeah,it's really not a Philly", which would have been great to know when I gave her my order. Bottom line? Skip this one, there are too many good restaurants in the area.

This used to be a great breakfast spot. Each time we come it steadily declined. Today walked in waited forever. No one seated us so we finally went and sat down. Server finally comes takes our order. Very slow but not so slow the 2 servers there can't talk forever. Place not very busy, coffee never came till we were ready to leave. Sad to say won't be back.🫤

I waited 25 minutes to even have my food order taken. Only reason why I stayed was she was bringing our drinks out and the others I was with didn't want to leave. Waited almost an hour for mediocre food. Home fries with zero flavor that I ended up paying extra for $70+ for breakfast for 3 people again for mediocre food.

Horrible service from Nicole. Biscuits and gravy were a greasy mess. Got charge 1.50 to add topping then 2.25 for the topping. Told Nicole and she treated me like I was some scumbag looking for free stuff. Gave me the nastiest look and huffed and walked away. Fixed my bill and it was 10 dollars cheaper. She was willing to overcharge me 10. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The restaurant was nice I liked the decor and everything in it but as soon as I walked in I got starred down by a lot of people and as a person of a color I felt very uncomfortable. And as I sat down a very nice waitress came over to me and took my order. But the food just nasty I’m sorry but it tasted disgusting to me, there was no seasoning on my breakfast and I did not like the food.

The food was not good at all. I think the owner should have the cook prepare some of the menu items and try them for themselves. They should reduce the offering on the menu so they can make it fresh and not have to warm it in a microwave. The servers understood and didn't seem surprised. In the long run they will lose the most.

First and last time we go here. Service was slow at first but we eventually ordered our food. The food wasn't even that good. The sausage Gravy over Biscuit was oily and greasy looking. The toast was burnt and the over easy eggs had a hair on it. What a disappointment 😞

OMG ... haven't been here for over a year we got seat in the back. The server/ owner daugther spent more time chatting while we waited 15 minutes just waiting for someone to ask us what drinks we would like. So I went to used the restroom what a disgusting state..stained tiling, urinal coated in dry pee!.. got out of there, God knows what the kitchen is like... if I could post the photos I would.. health depth needs to visit

Walked in to a mostly empty restaurant. Blonde waitress barks across the restaurant from behind the counter "be with you in a couple minutes". She walks over grabs menus, throws the menus on the worst table in the restaurant, literally right behind the entrance door podium, and walks away. We didn't even take a single step from the entrance. No smile. No greeting. She didn't even offer to get beverages while we decide what to eat. I didn't want the awful table next to the door, especially when most of the tables were empty, so my wife and I didn't sit down. We continued to stand at the entrance podium. After a few minutes, she looked up and barks across the restaurant "be right with you" as if we were new customers. Seriously. As she walks over i said "is it possible to get a booth away from the door? So she makes an annoyed grunt, and walks us over to a dirty table and says" I gotta wipe this one off " as she walks away leaving my wife and I standing there at the booth. She then proceeds to serve other customers and tap away at the terminal. After 3 or 4 more minutes she walks over, gave the table a barely wipe, and walks away again. So we sat down. After 5 minutes if waiting and not being acknowledged, and watching the coffee steward offer coffee refills to everyone in the restaurant (except us) and watching the angry blonde waitress walk into the back. We finally got up and left. She obviously did not want to be at work today. And this is just plain terrible management. A friendly greeting costs nothing. We were in the restaurant for over 10 minutes and our mere presence was never even acknowledged. We drove 2 miles down the road to Yellow Mills Diner where we were instantly greeted by a friendly hostess, sat in a great booth, and had coffee and orange juice within 3 minutes, and delicious food in 10 minutes by a friendly waitress.

Very friendly servers, but the food was terrible and plain tasting, burnt. The restaurant itself is not very clean. Probably one of the worst diners around. We wont be going back.

It took about 10 minutes from the time we were seated until the staff came to take our drink order. There was a party of 12 and then 4 our table with 2 people each. There were two people on the shift.
