¡Las Bravas, en pleno centro de Madrid junto a la Puerta del Sol, es un auténtico tesoro gastronómico! La calidad de sus productos es insuperable y la variedad de tapas es impresionante. No te puedes perder los torreznos, que son la tapa estrella y que te van a dejar con ganas de más. ¡Cinco estrellas bien merecidas!

Un buen sitio donde comer bien y a buen precio en pleno centro de Madrid. Servicio impecable y comida muy buena (por lo menos de tapeo). Volveré sin dudarlo.

Es fundamental probar la tortilla, ya que es un plato estrella de la casa. La salsa brava que preparan es el complemento perfecto para esta delicia culinaria. Asimismo, las orejas son otro bocado que merece la pena degustar. En definitiva, es un lugar totalmente recomendable para disfrutar de sabores auténticos. No duden en visitar este sitio.

An absolute classic. You can’t go wrong with this place. Amongst the best patatas bravas you will find anywhere in Madrid! No fancy “interpretations,” just how they should be. The tortilla de patata is also top notch although could benefit from less of a blast in the microwave before serving.

We really enjoyed our visit! Everything was delicious — the Tinto Verano was especially great. The waiter was very friendly, and the service was excellent. The only small thing was that we were served some cheese we hadn’t ordered. At first, we thought it might be a mistake, and it was added to the bill. We decided not to say anything and just paid. It was probably a misunderstanding — the waiter’s English wasn’t perfect, but no big deal. Overall, it’s a wonderful place, and we had a great time!

We came for the fame of this place and it really lived up to our expectations. The only reason I am rating the atmosphere is because the air diffuser facing the restaurant was too strong and we were not happy with the smell and how strong it was. Maybe turning the diffuser facing the toilets would be better. Otherwise the food was great, and we enjoyed the evening.

Hace algunos años dieron un giro al aspecto empresarial, pero la parte gastronómica se mantiene invariable. Patatas bravas, tortilla y oreja los imprescindibles. Edit: I’ve been coming to this place for over 30 years, and every time I do, I see tourists making mistakes with what they order. That’s why I’m writing this review in English: There are three things in this bar that offer an experience you won’t easily find elsewhere — and they’re what make this place truly special: The bravas – The combination of perfectly fried potatoes and the signature orange sauce is unbeatable. It’s not worth ordering them with alioli — go for the original bravas sauce. The Spanish omelette (tortilla de patatas), served with a bit of sauce – A well-made, classic potato omelette. Excellent. Ideal for two people. You can have it with or without brava sauce (I recommend with). The oreja (pig’s ear) – This might sound surprising, but it’s a classic Madrid tapa: seasoned, grilled pig’s ear. If you want the authentic, old-school Madrid bar experience, order a half portion and give it a try. It’ll seem exotic to tourists, and it’ll definitely surprise you. It’s my favorite tapa. You can have it with or without brava sauce. I recommend with. Oh, and don’t order sangría — it’s a tourist thing and way too sweet. In Madrid, tapas should always be paired with a caña or doble (small or medium draft beer). There they only serve dobles

Good food and very nice waiter. Good patatas bravas! Give you delicious Spanish olives for free. Also has the tortilla with bravas sauce. The sauce is a bit spicier than other restaurants. Good croquettes!

The best place to try loca food! The service is great, very friendly. Sangria and patatas bravas are the best in Madrid! Maybe you will need to wait a bit in the line but believe me it’s worth it! I can fully recommend this place!

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat in Madrid, and we came across Las Bravas, a small tapas bar located in Pje. de Mathéu. We had seen long lines at two of their other locations the night before, but we decided to give this one a try. We were glad we did! The food was amazing. We started with the patatas bravas, which were perfectly cooked and topped with a delicious, flavorful brava sauce. We also had the oreja en salsa, which was tender and flavorful, and the boquerones in vinegar, which were refreshing and light. We also shared the calamar de potera, which was cooked perfectly and had a crispy exterior. The service was also excellent. Our waiter, Ren, was very friendly and attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed and recommended some great dishes. We all had a wonderful dining experience at Las Bravas. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Madrid. PS. Don't mind the long lines. It is truly worth it!

Nice tapas bar at the center of Madrid. Very good beer and they had whole selections of seafood as kebabs and canapes. Great for the quick bites. Just a tip: I didn't like it that they charged more for outside tables. Teh menu price is different for inside tables and outside tables.

Bueno bueno, en esta visita nos dijimos vamos a tomar el vermut y unas bravas en uno de los locales más típicos y céntricos de Madrid pos ala al lío.. hay cola para entrar pero va rápida, los camareros te atienden rápido, las patatas están ricas, la sorpresa que venían con pelo incluido un descuido🫣🙄

Buen sitio para comer/tapear por el centro de Madrid, si quieres ir sobre seguro está es una buena opción, Los precios si es verdad que algo caro para lo que es y al no poder reservar tuvimos que hacer cola, por eso las 4 estrellas. Las bravas tampoco son nada del otro mundo, las he comido mucho mejores.

Hacía años que no venía, las patatas y la tortilla con su salsa brava siguen siendo las mejores, pero el sitio ha cambiado muchísimo, ese encanto (para mí) de bar de tapeo de toda la vida, donde pedías tu ración y te la sacabas a la calle con una cervecita, ha cambiado a :"si no tienes sitio dentro, te esperas y haces cola" entiendo que tendrá que ver con las nuevas normativas, pero la esencia de venir a tapear por madrid se ha perdido... El servicio fue amable y súper rápido.

We stopped into Las Bravas after hearing it’s home to some of the best patatas bravas in Madrid, and it lived up to the hype. The signature sauce on top was fantastic—rich, flavorful, and so unique it’s actually patented. The potatoes themselves were big and hearty. Personally, I like mine a touch crispier, but they were still delicious and definitely worth trying. The space has a fun, casual vibe and makes for a great stop if you’re looking for a classic Madrid tapa. A must for patatas bravas fans!

The pig ears were slow-cooked until tender, then fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth soft on the inside. First try of patatas bravas — the potatoes were fluffy inside with a rich fried aroma, and the sauce had just the right amount of heat and depth of flavor. The green peppers were also delicious and perfectly seasoned. Four starts because it’s salty for me.

We hit up Las Bravas in an effort to soak up the alcohol we've been drinking (lol), and lemme tell you, this place was fantastic. We got the original patatas bravas, for a mere 5,50€, and while I was surprised to see that they seemed to have been boiled and then sauteed with the sauce instead of being fried, they were soft, a bit chewy and utterly delicious with that absolutely fantastic sauce of theirs. We also got the 6 piece croquetas de jamón, which were quite good as well. My only "issues" were that the tinto de verano, priced at 3,50€ and put into a smaller glass, was very flat, and that the place, while very lively, was overly loud for us. Strongly, strongly recommend giving their bravas a try!

Very traditional place in Madrid. Situated in the centre area, you can eat the famous patatas bravas with the secret sauce. They are other products such as pig ear in bravas sauce or bulls tail. It might not sound very appealing but if you are brave enough, try it!!!

Sitio muy conocido en la capital, de esos que todo el mundo ha visitado alguna vez. Fui con la idea de volver a probar sus clásicos y, aunque mantiene ese aire castizo que lo hizo famoso, la experiencia es algo irregular. La salsa brava sigue teniendo un picante patente y reconocible, y la oreja está bien hecha, sabrosa y en su punto, sin ser espectacular. El local suele estar lleno y casi siempre hay cola, lo que hace que todo vaya rápido y con bastante ruido. El servicio cumple y es eficaz, pero se nota que el objetivo es que entres, comas y dejes sitio. No es el mejor sitio si vas con carro o buscas tranquilidad. Un bar de toda la vida que hoy funciona más como una franquicia del tapeo rápido, recomendable si sabes a lo que vienes.

The food was good (quite basic spanish place, nothing unexpected), service - fast but just at the end one thing bothered me a bit. We were still sitting and chatting after paying and the waiter started to walk in obvious circles kind of sending us a signal that is time to go. I completely understand when it’s busy and people waiting to sit down, so of course I am happy to give my space, but there were many empty tables so didn’t understand the rush?

Buen servicio. Las patatas están bien cocidas, crujientes por fuera y suaves por dentro. La salsa es picante, con un picor que dura unos segundos y desaparece. Para mí, no está rica, le falta sal.

Food was great, Sangría also amazing. However in the final bill we were charged for extra drinks we did not order (over 5,5 euros). Even though the waiter quickly corrected the mistake and returned the money, it really feels like it was done on purpose, hoping we would not notice. Especially considering the waiters immediately knew what was added on the bill incorrectly.

If I was a reviewer for the French tire maker I would award these folks a flat tire. The bravas did not meet my expectations and were tied with the most poorly prepared and presented bravas we had in Spain. The waiter I think was the president of the anti-social league After his incredibly rude introduction we were getting up to leave when the manager came over and quickly took our order and had yet another waiter bring grisly bravas to us. On the plus side the Mahou was cold. The facility was on par with the other area restaurants. I've been in Madrid many times in the past my perception is the city has been flooded with tourists in the last few years and service has declined We went in late November during the week.
