The lean meat is juicy and has a homemade flavor, absolutely delicious, and the gizzards are cooked to perfection—they're amazing. There were four of us, and we ordered two of each dish. Every time I go to see my friends in Coslada, a trip to Las Alitas is a must.

A classic, old-fashioned bar. Good food. Note: everything is served with toothpicks and there are no plates. The pork loin is delicious and the wings are fantastic. The place is small, you have to wait your turn, and it's quite noisy. A typical neighborhood bar.

Stepping into Bar Lozano in San Fernando de Henares is like stepping into a true neighborhood legend. The moment you arrive, you feel that simple, traditional atmosphere that seems unchanged for decades: full tables, families, groups of friends, and the lively buzz of old-fashioned bars. The menu is clear, direct, and honest: you come here for chicken wings, gizzards, and necks. I came for the famous wings, and although the decision was easy, my expectations were high given their reputation. I ordered the classic portion of wings, which arrive on a heaping plate, piping hot, freshly fried, and with that signature lemon sauce that's practically a house secret. There are no frills: juicy meat, crispy skin, and a touch of citrus that makes you lick your fingers and want more. The first bite confirms it: nothing mass-produced, everything freshly made, and that hint of the grill and lemon transports you back to the tradition of Madrid's bars. It's clear they've been making them the same way for over 50 years, and while some might say the pieces are small, for me, that's precisely the charm: easy to enjoy, perfect for sharing while chatting and sipping a beer. The atmosphere is undoubtedly a fundamental part of the experience. There's that authentic feel, with the background murmur of conversations and a sense of being at home. The service is friendly and old-fashioned, without any frills or pretensions, but it's exactly what you'd expect in a place like this. I've read that some customers find the portions a bit small for the current price, but in my case, I felt the value for money is still reasonable if you're looking for authenticity and traditional flavor. The only drawback is that you might have to wait for a table if you go during peak hours, and that's the best proof of its success: it's always packed, but the wait is usually worth it. In short, if you're nostalgic for authentic bars, aren't looking for sophistication, and want some real chicken wings, Bar Lozano is a must-visit. And mind you, the sweetbreads and necks are also a hit, but I would come back (and I will come back) just for those lemon wings that everyone in the Henares Corridor is talking about.
