Wonderful restaurant! The food is tasty and clean, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is comfortable. I will definitely visit again.
I had such a great experience at this Shawarma restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The highlight of my visit was the amazing service from Searsa she was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about the customer experience like she does. Highly recommend this place I’ll definitely be coming back!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I had a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. I also loved their new to-go boxes — they’re sturdy, well-packaged, and perfect for leftovers. On top of that, the customer service was amazing; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel truly welcomed. I’ll definitely be back!
Here’s an updated version with your details included: ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 I always buy my food from here, and they never disappoint! Their shawarma is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Today was another great experience, the wrap was toasted just right, and the fries were hot and crispy. I also want to give a special shoutout to Dua, the hijabi girl who helped me. She is always so kind, welcoming, and provides amazing customer service every time I visit. It’s one of the reasons I keep coming back. Highly recommend this place!
Best food in Birmingham. Nice people. And a quick service. The portion of food big Nice place for family. You should try it and I guarantee you’ll be back. Please if you want to write a review please please do it on food. Do not be an ignorant, respectful the owner on this place . You come to this this restaurant because you heard a lot a good stuff about , quality of food and prices is 10 out 10 it’s better than a lot of your wife or mom cooking.
This place has the most amazing spectacular delicious astonishing. Just the best Arabic food I’ve ever eaten in my whole life. If you don’t try this, you’re missing out in life. You haven’t lived. You haven’t eaten. You haven’t really tasted flavor ever I recommend highly please try this now !,!!,!,!!,!!
The downstairs sitting area was way too cold they had the AC too strong but they put a lot of effort into a nice sitting area, love the fountain and greenery wood look. The BEST shawarma in NJ hands down but they really gotta work on people skills. We asked for plates as a family of 5 and had to beg one by one they weren't even making eye contact or listening
I absolutely loved it here! The food and ambiance were both fantastic. I was especially impressed with the dine-in seating—it was beautiful, airy, and perfect for escaping the summer heat. The fries and shawarma with pomegranate drizzle were incredible, and the cheeseburger was surprisingly delicious too. I left feeling completely satisfied and would definitely return. BONUS: the prices are super affordable! $42 for two super shawarma and french fries, cheese burger and fries, hummus and pita, and 2 seltzer’s.
I wish I found this place sooner. We were trying shawarma all over town and this place has hands down the best shawarma flavor I tasted anywhere so far. Both their chicken or beef taste very good, owner made it fresh for us, the fries are amazing with the white sauce and ofcourse you get some pickles on the side. It's a good price too, perfect for takeout and fills you up. The only problem would be parking.
I had a great experience at Al Shami Shawarma in Paterson! The food offers an authentic taste of Middle Eastern cuisine. I tried the chicken shawarma, and it was absolutely mouthwatering—fresh, flavorful, and worth the price. They have a variety of shawarma options and also offer catering. If you choose to dine in, you’re in for a treat! To get to the dining area, you walk through a tunnel-like path that feels like a mini cave, leading into a cozy wooden hut. The space is beautifully designed and feels like you’re sitting near a peaceful waterfall—very unique and relaxing. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick. The only minor downside is parking—it can be tough to find a spot during busy hours since it’s located on Main Street. But the food is definitely worth it. I’ll be back to try more of their menu!
Excellent authentic Shawarma place. The taste was soooo good and just like home. The fries were delicious. There is inside dine in area which is fine. The service was fast. The garlic sauce was very tasteful. People were nice. Prices are great and average. Parking could be an issue sometimes. I would definitely recommend it!
Every time I eat here the quality is different sometimes it's pretty good sometimes it's wack. The seating is cool but the wait kinda sucks, if you come during peak hours or ramadan expect to wait very very long so id rather not. was quoted 1 hour wait during Friday afternoon on a regular day.
This spot has quickly become one of our new go-to favorites! Everyone knows Paterson is packed with amazing halal eats, but this place? Their shawarma is top tier. And that white sauce everyone raves about, yes the hype is real. Actually, that’s an understatement. Now, here’s where it gets spicy. The food is a solid 10 out of 10. The service, on the other hand, needs some seasoning. If I’m standing there giving you business, even hyping your spot up on TikTok, don’t give me attitude just because I’m asking to remove a few toppings. Girl, I promise it’s not that deep. Me making your job easier should not offend you. Huge shoutout to the sweet girl named Diana who stepped in and handled the situation with total grace. The other one behind the register with the hijab though, huffing, puffing, eye rolling, acting like I asked her to climb Mount Everest. Unacceptable. Anyway, back to the good stuff. The beef shawarma quesadilla I tried this time was fire. Their beef shawarma sandwich is already elite, but this quesadilla hit different. And that white sauce, I swear it healed my soul. Fries dipped in it could fix a bad day. So yes, the food here is absolutely worth it, but management needs to refresh the lineup and hire more Dianas, people with chill energy and good manners. Because food this good deserves service that matches the vibe. Here’s an update: We came here once again, and customer service still going down the drain. The same rude girl is still there, and how are you going to tell us you ran out of beef shawarma? Especially when it’s THE FAVORITE.
My friends and I went specifically for the crispy shawarma. The lady at the front told us they don’t serve it, which wasn’t true. This place is viral on TikTok for their crispy shawarma, so I didn’t appreciate the dishonesty. At this point, it feels like you have to record while ordering just to get what you came for. The food was still good, but don’t advertise something you won’t offer to your customers.
I ordered a double mix shawarma and a chicken shawarma meal, and both had hair in the food. Definitely not going back again.
Firstly, I don’t speak Arabic and everyone in line that was even after me got their food first. I had to ask them twice, had to wait almost 20 minutes when there was no line around 4pm. Secondly the food looks nothing like their social media posts. Bland, Dry, nasty. The only good thing was their pickles on the side and garlic mayo. That’s it. Absolutely disappointed, I will never get it again. Keep walking and there are tons of other places on the same street.
I used to come here often, but today’s experience was very disappointing. There is no respect for the customer’s time. They take your order, but the waiting time can be up to 30 minutes, and no one informs you in advance or gives you the option to decide whether you want to wait. They justify it by saying they have large orders, which is not the customer’s fault. To make matters worse, the order was incorrect, and there was never an apology or a good service attitude regarding the long wait. Very poor customer service.
I was honestly excited at first — the line was massive, which usually feels like a good sign. But once we got our food, my opinion changed pretty quickly. To be fair, the ketchup was actually good. Unfortunately, that was the highlight. The fries were extremely greasy, and the shawarma seemed like it had basically gone swimming in oil. The filling — chicken, pickled cucumbers, and garlic — was very basic and didn’t stand out at all. The presentation didn’t help either; nothing about it looked appetizing or exciting. Overall, I didn’t enjoy it. My honest, objective rating for Al SHAMI SHAWARMA is 1 out of 5.
I used to love the food here but this place needs to optimize their workflow. 1 hour wait to get a shawerma is unacceptable. There is no coordination between the staff and alot of time wasted in figuring out the orders (still getting my order wrong or under cooked). I'm seing orders being canceled left and right. You must take action or you'll lose your business. Bulk of your business is from the shawerma. You need to add another grill and increase the size of the burner. Remove the juice and sweet stands no one cares about them. Designate dedicated staff to specific tasks. Stop food delivery apps or phone calls when you're overwhelmed by in-store customers. Customers wait time goal should be 25 minutes max. If you need investors to optimize your place let us know. People will support you to be successful and stop punishing us with bad service.
Only go during peak hours and weekends. If you go after 8:30 PM on weekdays or between lunch and dinner, you’ll get food that was prepared in advanced and just warmed up until it burns on the grill and served to you which tastes nothing like the fresh one. And you still pay the same price. When you go back to tell them you want the usual, they dump the old one, warm up/another burnt Shawarma and pack it up and give it to you. As a loyal customer, I’m pretty disgusted.
I wish if there’s below one star I would give it. I ordered 5 double shawarma chicken. When the food came out. First of all they cut the each sandwich four pieces. Logically the shawarma meal should be cutting into small pieces. The shawarma want fresh either the chicken or the bread. The fries wasn’t fresh and was on top of each others. I came back to talk nicely to the workers about it. There was three workers there. The third worker was the Egyptian one replying to me with attitude and the last thing he said to do whatever you want. Paying 120 dollars just to receive this quality of food and the awful treatment. My advice for everyone don’t eat from there waste of money.
One of the worst things we faced as a family inside there diner. They made us wait for 2 hours despite ordering. They have no clue what was happening. Kids were literally starving. Never expected even if you are the best restaurant in the town. Brother Ahmad later did lip service however 1 disgruntled customer means 100 more and one satisfied means only 10 more satisfied customers
