I have been in Magnolia, Arkansas for about a month now and within that time the service of this establishment has gone down. When we first arrived here and made a visit around 0530 in the morning, the drive thru and was greeted with a smile and a "good morning" and the donuts were fresh and hot. Around the 3rd visit, the staff was different and again in the drive thru, the window opened and the girl just looked at me, no greeting, no smile, donuts were warm though. About the 6th visit, same non greeting attitude, cold donuts. Last week, I got there early, waited for them to open, the young man opened the door, I gave him a minute then I went inside, I grabbed 2 choc milks and ordered 1/2 dz glazed, 1/2 dz choc iced, he stated that it would be about 20 min because he woke up late and there are no donuts, I did notice the choc milk was about 2 days till expired (I always check), I put the milk back and left, I had a working man waiting for these donuts and I didn't have time to wait.NOTE TO MANAGER: PLEASE TELL YOUR STAFF NOT TO OPEN UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO FEED YOUR HUNGRY CUSTOMERS THAT ARE ON THEIR WAY TO WORK! This morning, my fiance went to pickup the same order, he stated that the same old unhappy attitude was at the drive thru window, the young man just looked at him when after he finally noticed a customer was waiting there, the donuts tasted cold and old and when he got to our room, I noticed the milk was expired 2 days ago. I told him to return the milk on the way to work and get a refund, so he did. My fiance's coworker decided to order kolaches and after he bit into the kolache once on the road, he immediately spit it out because it was very cold, he was angry. That was it, the service is extremely poor and sometimes the food is mediocre. We will not be going back. They need the old, friendly staff back, the "kids" that work there now, do not seem to want to be there and don't appear to care about customer service.FAIL.

I ordered a large jalapeno and cheese kolache and it tasted like cleaning chemicals! There are two Shipley's in town, and this is the bad one.
Good Donuts for the trash can thanks for the old Donuts taste just like grease the worst I ever had
This location is no longer a Shipley's, it is now a Tasty Donut. And the donuts are no longer worth buying. They have too much frosting but the worst part is the dough is not consistently shaped, so you can end up with parts of the donuts being a centimeter thick in some spots. Crunchy donuts are not what is looked for in a standard donut. This location used to have the best donuts, soft and thick. I won't be coming back while the donuts are subpar. I do have pictures to back up my statement but there doesn't seem to be the option to add them to this review.
last month I gave this donut shop 4 stars, the donuts were fantastic. However, today, I was given a very old donut, it was the worst donut than I have had in years. Do not sell days old donuts for fresh , you will lose your customers.
We just moved to a small town outside of Magnolia & thought this would be a quick trip that our wide range of likeness, family of 9 could each enjoy a little something from coffee, breakfast sandwiches to donuts... we loved that there was no objection to the only good spot to park with an 18’ trailer, when we walked inside with the kids, there is a little area for little ones to play & a table for other siblings & even room for us & other families... we’re a family of 6 (of 9) children of all ages still at home. Plus several adult members. As soon as someone begins to take our order, without a single word in the middle of me beginning to tell the young woman what we needed, she “hands me off” to an older women in the middle of my sentence & we have to repeat & point to what we would like multiple times each item (while the young women intervenes as she pleases). Explaining multiple times what the children & ourselves would like... once complete, we pay & for 4 breakfast sandwiches, 36 donut holes & maybe 7 or 8 specialty donuts & a few drinks like juice boxes & such our total came to almost $50 after taxes... $50! We buy more with BETTER service & food for about $30 with taxes for all of that, plus... so they got the order completely wrong, the cream filled we asked 5 times for, weren’t cream filled at all, my ONLY bacon breakfast sandwich (because I am allergic to dairy & eggs) had literally 4 1/2 slices of bacon thrown into the middle & the croissant was not a croissant at all, it was bread made to look like a croissant... when we tried to talk to them they (English speaking young woman) began to blame the older (not good English speaking woman who she handed me off to when she originally began taking my order) first blames us for the mistakes telling us we didn’t tell them what we wanted & them shifting the blame to the older woman afterwards for her “bad” English... (ploy to get everything wrong with justification for not offering to fix or give compensation) & the fact that everything tasted bad... old, or not what you ordered... and they charge MORE than advertised or menu marked) Bear claw... looks like one but is bread like with only a glaze... that’s it... same with the “cream filled” they had NO cream in them & looked like the chocolate (and other flavors) had been grabbed repeatedly by tongs... (taken from the shelf & put back multiple times). So after shifting the blame to an understanding problem our lack thereof, I made a point to inform them I would be telling about our experience & we would not be eating there again... she (the younger women) began yelling at me, saying that I was yelling at her & she was going to call the law on me... my witnesses, 2 other adults who also ate there & experienced the same issues with the food (as described above) also informed them it was not my fault & that I was not yelling that they to would witness the whole experience, & then we walked out because it wasn’t worth it since my older kids had to take my younger kids out of the donut shop when the younger woman began to respond to me... they get one star only because there was a way to park with a large trailer without blocking regular traffic & a little play area for my little ones... I will NOT be spending any more of my hard earned money in there & would like recommendations on Home like places that is affordable or fair for what buying, to take my family to eat as a new member of a small town outside of Magnolia... Very disappointed with everything, costumer service, over charging advertised prices & the quality of food... wWe will NOT be returning to this location, ever again!
