Entrar en Araboka es mala idea si no quieres comer muy, muy bien. Empezamos con el gazpachuelo y ya ahí supimos que la cosa iba en serio: espectacular, de los que te hacen mojar pan sin ningún tipo de pudor. La anchoa, simplemente perfecta, de esas que te reconcilian con la vida y con el Cantábrico aunque estés en Málaga. La carne fue el remate final: en su punto exacto, jugosa y con un sabor brutal. Aquí saben claramente lo que hacen y no se andan con tonterías. La carta de vinos es otro nivel; buena variedad y muy bien elegida. Probamos un Burdeos que entraba solo y acompañó la comida de lujo. Comida exquisita y producto de calidad, me encanta porque la mayoría de platos se puede pedir en media ración y así probar más variedad. El aceite es increíblemente bueno! Tienen muchos vinos por copa, el restaurante es muy bonito, a nosotros nos encanta estar en la terraza porque vamos con nuestro peque y así estamos más cómodos. El personal es muy amable.

Sitio perfecto en el centro de Málaga para disfrutar de su buena cocina malagueña modernizada. También una gran variedad de vinos. Muy buen servicio tanto por Antonio como por los camareros. A destajar el boquerón relleno y el ajoblanco.

Fue todo lo que esperaba y más. Pasé un rato increíble y la comida no podía ser mejor. Variedad para todos los gustos y comida tradicional de Málaga at its best. Los camareros super atentos en todo momento. Hacen que tengas una experiencia no de diez, sino de mil. Recomiendo totalmente que os dejéis guiar por sus sugerencias porque aciertan seguro y no olvidéis preguntar por la oferta fuera de carta, qué espectáculo. Si tengo que poner una pega, es desde luego no tener la habilidad de poder comer más, porque de haber sido así, lo habría probado todo sin duda. Volveremos, y espero, con mucha hambre para poder disfrutar de más. 🩷

Estuvimos comiendo 2 personas. Estaba lleno y pudimos comer sin reserva en una mesa pegada a la barra. Todo muy correcto y la comida muy buena. Probamos los dos tipos de croqueta, el pulpo y un flamenquín. Los chavales que atendían, muy majetes. Recomendable.

We sat on the bustling patio which was a restaurant floor all in its own, compared to the many rooms inside itself. Gazpacho, Malaga Salad, and regular Salad were great appetizers. Crisp and tasting fresh. The Malaga salad was quite interesting as it was a cold potato salad, with citrus mixed in like some kind of tangerine with what seemed like a cold hollandaise on top. The patatas bravas was on par with your standard. The ooctopus was tender and went well with pesto like sauce. The pork was tender and the mustard sauce was full of flavor. Local wine, and fruits from the area all paired well together. Definitely would go again.

This is a favorite for us every time we visit Malaga. A view of both the Roman Theater and the fortress Alcazaba which is such a gorgeous backdrop. We always order all our favorite tapas to share. Anything you order from the menu is delicious and service is really good.

An institution of the Malaga restaurant scene, Pimpi has been around for 40 years, located in the city centre. The grilled acorn-fed Iberian fan (18.00€) was tasty and served with broccoli and potatoes. The outdoor seating is the perfect spot for taking in the sights and enjoy the weather during summer. The service is efficient and cordial. Its roots with the local community are strengthened with a non profit foundation that invests in local cultural and musical projects.

It was an amazing experience! The ambience is beautiful and the music is jazzy. You have a beautiful view at the ruin. The waiter that helped us spoke perfect English and was very lovely. The food did not come to fast what we loved. The sushi was the best we ever had. We definitely recommend this place. Make sure that you reserve at the first floor at la Sole!!☀️

Very good finding! We celebrated my husband’s birthday here while visiting Malaga and it was the best decision ever! The food was beyond our expectations. Oh, and we totally had to come back again in our last night spent here! We had (and recommend), Maki Akami and Maki Ebi Tempura, the grilled octopus leg, mediterannean tempura and some more. Oh, and sangria is the best we’ve had so far! Thank you!

Wow! Such a historic place in the heart of Málaga. We had several courses of tapas before the main dish and dessert. Everything that I tried was exceptional! The sea bass with white garlic sauce was the standout protein, in my opinion. But surprisingly, the best thing I tasted there were roasted carrots and hummus. It was the perfect example of taking a basic ingredient and cooking it to perfection to make it a star! If you are ever in Málaga, you have to eat here at least once.

Simply amazing. The food is traditional and delicious. The tapas pairs so perfectly with beer and everything compliments each other. The octopus is the most tender I have ever eaten. Friendly staff, beautiful views of the ancient theatre and fort from the outside, and super efficient. A wonderful place to have dinner.

I think this is the first time I give 5 stars regarding each aspect. Have to say that everything was very good. Service is really top. They work so hard. Everyone. Food was really great, not a big portions but absolutely enough. Real value for money! Need to point also that this is so spacious place with so many corners and rooms that I was lost being here for the first time. Well done El Pimpi.

Absolutely delicious! Woah it really melts in your mouth. We tried a variety of their menu items and it is definitely worth it. Yes it is slightly pricy but you pay for quality and get more than sufficient quantity. Staff is professional and efficient. Definitely recommend it.

The fancy version of next door El Pimpi, probably made for those who are unwilling to queue and prefer comfort and luxury. Honestly it wasn’t even that expensive, we paid 80€ for three with lots other food and drinks. I assume some of the dishes are featured on both menus such as the Pimpi gambas which were delicious. The grilled squid was amazing and would highly recommend also. Service was good although their English wasn’t perfect. Menus were available in English through a QR code. Most importantly the food arrived quickly which I believe wouldn’t be the case of the original restaurant. Overall we enjoyed it and would recommend.

Lo visitamos el 30 de marzo de 2025. Muy buen sitio para comer. Imprescindible reserva. La atención muy buena, la comida muy bien también y la relación calidad/precio normal. No es para ir todos los días, pero merece la pena darse un homenaje aquí. Estuvimos seis comensales y salimos a algo más de 42€ por persona, con tapas y platos al centro, torrijas de postre, bebidas y café. Me llamó la atención que tienen un palto de cuchara del día y puedes pedir una tapa, lo cual hicimos y fue una buena idea. Sitio recomendable.

¡Increíble el sitio! Los camareros muy amables y educados, la comida espectacular. Lo único que no me ha convencido, los tiempos de espera, hasta que nos tomaron nota y llegó la comida estuvimos un buen rato. Aun así, muy contenta con el recibimiento y la comida. ¡Fantástica carta de productos locales y platos reinventados!

Gastrobar de corte claro, "casa de vinos y comidas" con una cocina que está basada en el recetario familiar y tradicional malagueño y andaluz. Comedor agradable con terraza y muy buen trato. Entre sus platos más reconocidos están los fideos tostados, las croquetas caseras de guiso, el tartar de salchichón de málaga, la ensaladilla rusa, la pluma de cerdo ibérico o el chivo lechal malagueño que no puedes dejar de probar. I've been here once before. Came during the Christmas holiday. The wait was about 25 minutes for a party of 6 without reservations. Food and service were great. It was a bit cold outside, so couldn't take advantage of the outdoor dinning, but indoor atmosphere was pleasant and lended itself to the dinning experience.

Surprisingly good! Of course, it's busy and on pricier side, as you are literally next to the roman theatre/Alcazaba, and with Picasso museum next to it. But we just wanted to grab something for drinks and food, without thinking about it too much. We got beers and fried fish mix - and damn! It was a pile of really good fish/calamari and we were not able to finish it in 3 people. The only annoying thing is that they let beggars to the terrace, so every so often someone comes and begs for money/collects coins for a "concert", but thankfully when you say no, they do not press you. But still, I feel like this is really not something that should be allowed in a restaurant.

Ate lunch here several times during our weeklong stay in Malaga and the food was always tasty. Be prepared to wait in-line during the peak lunch hours but it still was not that long of a wait. Service was adequate but nothing to brag about and some of the servers could try to be a little more friendly. The atmosphere is a big plus here since you are right in the middle of the square next to the old Roman theater ruins. Makes a great place to be for “people watching” while having a meal. Starting the menu is not very comprehensive. The names of the dishes are not easy to understand for foreigners. The service was not so good. The place is so crowded of course you need to wait in long queues to be served. Only 2 waiters per area. So. You can spend easily 2.5/3 hours for regular lunch or dinner. Personnel were not disrespectful but some of them clearly don't like that job. They put the food on the table and that's it. Some orders were mixed up. And not even a warm "enjoy your food" and I'm not talking about me. I was checking how they were working as I was waiting to be served for so long. The quality of the food is not so great. The "tinto de verano" was really poor and small. 5/10 The salad was good 9/10. But the breaded fish was not so good. 7/10. Its better to book in advance than just be in a long queue for more than 30 min. I really dont know how can this restaurant be rated so high. I definitely wouldn't go again. For the experience was ok. But not my cup of tea compared with so many other in the area.

I guess 3 stars is perfect for this place. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, the food was good but not ground breaking and you can get the same quality in other places with much lower prices. La verdad que fuimos porque lo vimos en una cuenta de ig de gente “que te dice la verdad” y se ve que cada vez están más pagadas estas publicaciones. Comida sin mas, en un sitio que no está mal pero algo apretado todo. Lo mejor las croquetas, sin duda. Y el aceite que te ponen al principio, buenísimo con pan caliente.

Hemos ido a comer y no hemos podido disfrutar de la comida. Estábamos en la terraza, pero con los radiadores se estaba muy a gusto. A la pareja que había al lado no le ha parecido bien que estuvieran estos encendidos, incluso entraron a quejarse, por lo que los han apagado. A nosotros la camarera nos ha atendido lo mejor posible, poniéndonos a la espalda la estufa de gas, pero de frente daba el frío de frente y el contraste frío/calor era desagradable. Comprendo que cada uno tenga sus gustos, pero los comensales hemos pasado frío solo por la exigencia de dos personas. No ha sido hasta que estos se han marchado cuando hemos podido estar a gusto, nosotros y el resto de personas. Clientes somos todos.

People next to us were putting their food into napkin to soak up the grease. My wife said she was gluten free and the fried potatoes had gluten on them resulting in a reaction. Avoid.

The place has a nice design and a good location, but that’s about it. It feels like a business focused solely on making money, with staff who don’t seem to care about guests. Our experience started with menus being thrown on the table, followed by a 10-minute wait for bread to go with our prawns—despite reminding the staff four times. I understand they’re busy, but if that’s the case, they should hire more staff for weekends and train them properly.
