After an awful experience with The Strand we showed up here. We were sat and had drinks in minutes. The staff was happy to share details on everything. It was one of the best rolls I ever had! Plus we got a picture with a giant tuna! The Omakase course my friends did was amazing I even tried barracuda! Just look at the photos all fresh and tasty. Highly recommend. It can get loud so off hours might be better if you are sensitive to noise

Unbelievable sushi spot. Servers were awesome and energetic and some of the best sushi I’ve had. The calamari was the best I’ve ever had as well. Fresh fish and great people

Solid lunch special. Surprisingly filling. Love the mystery roll concept as they can just make whatever the hell they want and they accommodated my request. Little too much fried imo. Everything tempura. Even the mystery roll. Decent price for being super full. 4/5

Cute restaurant with comfortable chairs, great sushi, and friendly service. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of with both God and drinks replenished quickly. We went during happy hour so the prices couldn't be beat for fresh fish. Cozy beach vibes to top it all off, what more could you ask?

Decided to try this sushi restaurant and I must say it's incredibly yummy. We didn't have reservation on Friday night, but we lucked out and got a table. The staff is friendly and hospitable. The restaurant is super clean with warm ambiance. Although it could get a bit loud since there was a large group celebrating something. The food was excellent. You have to try the Cod. I thought it was the best I've ever had. We also had two rolls that were also excellent.

Delicious Sushi at a great price! Dash Dashi Sushi Bar in Manhattan Beach is great little spot. Winnie our server was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. All of the Sushi we ordered was great, fresh, and tasted of quality. Bathrooms were a bit messy and in need of cleanings, but beyond thay everything was great

Beautiful presentation, and even better service — Minnie and other staff was so warm and accommodating, made us feel truly welcome. No wonder this place has such great reviews — highly recommended

What. An. Experience. Half of my 5 was the food and half was the staff. Winnie was behind the bar and made my visit extra special! KANPAI! If you’re in the area visiting Manhattan Pier or shopping in the area, this place will set you right. Delicious Japanese beers on tap, excellent food, great atmosphere, and the staff is top notch! Whether you’re a tourist or a local, this place is a must.

This place is super fun and great to have a good meal. The staff is super nice and super fun. The meal was delicious and great. I had the sashimi platter but I would highly recommend the omakase as they will make as much food as you can stomach and it is very reasonable. They made us the fried mini crabs which were delicious and crunchy. The sashimi platter was good with the toro and salmon and albacore. We ordered the pornado which is a play on potato and tornado but I'd like to think they meant sometimes else too... 👀 🍆. Overall a great meal with reservations available along with great staff. The parking can be a hassle with the crowdedness of this area.

Delicious!!! We came here for lunch during a day at Manhattan Beach and it was amazing. Service was fantastic and the food was soo good. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. We got the sesame chicken appetizer, “krispy krunchy” roll, and “pornado” roll. The “pornado” was the coolest roll I’ve seen! Check this place out for fresh and delicious sushi and great service. And the lunch specials are great.

Wow, I didn't know where to even begin. Was in town with one of my best friends catching up. We were having drinks across the street and the bartender suggested we try Dash Dashi, ask for Tony. Well, ask for Tony we did and let me tell you, hands down this was one of the best sushi experiences I've had! Tony and the crew offered a really nice Omakase. I've never had fresh Soft Shell Blue Crab, incredible. Delicious oysters. All the fish were great, fresh, tasty and well seasoned. They serve you as much or as little as you like when doing Omakase. Oh and they serve REAL Japanese beer, Orion from Okinawa!! 🍺 We purposely let loose and ordered a lot so was a larger bill than normal. It was still very affordable and great service. Overall, a great time. Thank you so much Tony and the crew!!

Even though I only ordered a basic spicy tuna roll and seaweed salad, it was good enough to make me write this review. My partner tried one of their lunch specials with chicken and rice which was just OK in comparison to the amazing sushi they have with fresh fish and tasty rice. I highly recommend this place for sushi!

Friendly service. We got the pornado and the Heat Wave. The Pornado is deep friend potato around the sushi roll. The Heat Wave was very fresh fish. If I lived here I would go again.

My servers were fabulous. The meal was amazing. I ordered sushi. I had the live Amaebi first along with live razor clams, Orion beer, muki sushi and octopus sushi. the price is spot-on perfect the food was totally amazing the beer was exceptional the service was fabulous. I couldn't leave after eating all that so I ordered the rest of the Amaebi......so wonderfully delicious I didn't want to leave. I have told everyone I run into that lives in LA or going to LA what a fabulous place this is!

Great happy hour menu! Everything was delicious we had the salmon collar, jalapeño bomb, fire cracker, light tutu, Japanese cucumber salad and the seaweed salad. Highly recommend this place!

I was in Los Angeles on business and decided to try this restaurant after seeing their good rating. I ordered the edamame, tuna steak salad, and yellowtail sushi. The edamame was ok but a little bland (maybe could have used a little more salt and pepper) , the tuna steak salad was fresh and beautifully presented but just a little dry, and the yellowtail sushi was smooth and delicious. All in all I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Manhattan beach.

Service is great and the atmosphere is uptown. Food is ok. Salmon was over cooked a bit. Yellowtail was very good.
