The person who served me, McKinsey, was super friendly, on time and helpful! I always enjoy coming back for a cotton candy blizzard :)
This place is a one of a kind .. I was delighted to find a place like this to eat a oldschool burger feel and run in to great prices and service. Definitely stopping by here to get a meal again with the family. Thanks Dairy Queen staff.
I was getting a load across the street. I had to come here for a snack and of course some ICE CREAM. Very friendly staff, clean bathrooms. After I ate my meal, they even brought the ice cream to my table. Wow!!!! Great service.
The employees were friendly and brought our food out to us. The restaurant was very clean & the food was delicious. We will definitely go back.
I've been going there for 10 years it's one of the best Dairy Queens in California I've been to quite a few I really love the new owners there they keep it super clean they're just so nice to their customers all their employees they are a plus number one in my book and I eat it a lot of fast food places it's like eating it home from your mother's home cooking
Me and the kids love this place and have for the past 12 years
The food was good. The Employees were also nice. The restaurant looks so much better since it's been remodeled.
Their food doesn't ever disappoint. DQ will always be my top 5 favorite fast food restaurant out here by far 😋 👌.
Super clean location and quick service. The girl working the counter was very kind and helpful on picking a good fit for me. 5/5 recommended
Staff are friendly and crack a few jokes. The atmosphere of the place was nice, calming music was playing, the chairs were wooden with a leather seat, and the food was great! Best staff-member there is the one that wears a hairnet over his beard. Can't remember his name but I do remember his funny and nice personality, if you see him rocking the hairnet over the beard, know that you are going to get a good experience as a customer.👍
Just...WOW!!!! My 1st time ever eating at DQ. Outstanding staff. Outstanding fries. The burger is an "actual beefy/ribeye-ish moist non-filler packed, crispy lettuce, fresh tomatoes, real bacon and a soft melt in your mouth bun blow Mc-Anything away!!!! Oh....$12 for a large. No way in heck I can ever pass DQ again to get to any other burger joint (in this town).
Love me a chocolate dipped cone! The young people who work here are awsome. They work so hard! Frindley in the drive thru even under pressure. McKinsey makes a great blizzard! 😉 I wish everyone would remember however that these are young people and don't take your frustration out on these teens because supply is not in stock......
The employees were really polite and very helpful. The restaurant was really clean and the food we ordered was just as we ordered and pretty good! Great place to come on a hot day for ice cream even better place to bring the kids 🎆!
The Halloween theme that this Dairy Queen has taken on is awesome. They greet you in the drive thru with a catchy spooky phrase. The employees are friendly and the service is great!
Fresh food and friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for a better little lunch spot. I will definitely come back.
I drove thru I had the 7 dollar chicken strip meal. Real good love the fries comes with 3 strips fries and a drink great deal.
I really enjoyed getting a peach cobbler blizzard here. It was hot and our group was glad to cool off here.
We got Blizards that we love! Very very good. They have a pup cup that is over the top. They add peanut butter the whip cream!
I have eaten at DQ my whole life. Up and down California going to visit in Los Angeles. Always tasty. It is a shame there are not more soft serve ice cream places. Selling it seems to be a lost art.
The girl scouts thin mint blizzard is to die for. SO YUMMY!!! Service was speedy, friendly, and our order was accurate. So glad the only Dairy Queen in town isn't a flop.
Best service in all of California!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Our order was perfect, and the cashier was super friendly! Even the girl who made our blizzards was really nice and told us to have a good day. 🙂 Really impressed with my overall experience here.
It's always hot in the restaurant. UPDATE: They have indoor dinning!!! One of the few fast food that has that. They must be under new ownership or management. The place is no longer stuck in the 80's with their dinning area. The remodel to the dinner area has opened up the seating and make it look more spacious. The restaurant was always hot as previously reviewed, however, they replaced or figured out how to use the air conditioning unit; to the point we were freezing. Ordered the 5 chicken tenders meal. The meal come in a boxes loaded with fries, 2 pieces of toast, 5 chicken tenders and 2 sauces. It so much food that we never finish it. Who ever is doing the ordering must be trained well. It was the first time I didn't have to playing the "we're out of that flavor" game. I choose a flavor and it was in stock.
The service we got was great, it really makes a difference when the employees are so welcoming have great attitudes. As always, the Blizzards are awesome, but this time we went for cheese curds along with our burgers and fries, wow we will definitely get those again. The Burgers and fries were good.
Excellent value for the price! Large filling fast food meals that the whole family loved. Great grilled chicken nuggets and fresh fries! The ice cream desserts we excellent and very refreshing on a warm day. Perfect sized drinks to enjoy. Definitely recommend when traveling though town for a meal.
Came here a while back when Raising Cane's was a madhouse (2 hour wait stretched into a 4 hour wait) and was pleasantly surprised - shocked, even - at how good their burgers and chicken fingers were. Hadn't been to a DQ since one time in my childhood and don't remember it being very good so I didn't come in with high expectations, just wanted to get fed finally. It's no Commons in Tracy but for late night fast food it was probably as good or better than Cane's and definitely faster (minutes vs hours).
Staff are always very respectful & polite. No errors that we have seen so far, Even flipping the blizzards up side down 🙂
Drove through drive up at the last minute just before closing. Ordered raspberry chocolate Blitz. Yummy! Employees were so friendly and cheerful. I have always had delicious food here.
Best burgers I have eaten in a while. whole family liked it a lot
Got everything we ordered in a decent amount of wait time. Love their ice blizzard’s.
Clean restaurant, stopped on a bust hot day in the valley. Got a treat for me n my kid after a busy week and going into the weekend cold off with ice cream. Ya can't go wrong with that. I've always loved fairy queen for the classics and the new items they come out with. Always right and fresh in a timely manner.
It took half an hour to get through the drive through. Too long when you have a limited lunch time break. Food and ice cream was good.
Loved my vanilla ice cream cone and service was excellent. My burger was just OK. But I will definitely go back for an ice cream cone.
Got everything I ordered for the correct price. Turning the food upside-down still makes me feel bad for the employees. Can we let them just act normal and hand me the food without the show?
Great food all year round both burgers & ice cream cones very friendly staff. Yes old but still modern. Its a not a sonics restaurant food chain but close enough as one
Just an ice cream run, one chocolate dipped cone, a strawberry shake and a fudge Sunday. Drive through is always crowded as of late but they are fairly quick in getting your food.
My favorite ice cream here, pricey but delicious:)
Very helpful staff. Good food at a great value. Didn't leave hungry and fed a group of five for under $40 including desert. Definitely going back
Drive thru needs to listen better and maybe get a display board for orders so mistakes don't happen.
I love the dairy Queen freezes! I especially love the peanut butter one! I'm addicted to it when I have a cheat day 😂 😈. LoL I especially love the chicken strips with fries and country gravy 😋 👌, all this talking about food is making me hungry and I'm anxious about tomorrow afternoon for my Dr appointment for dermatology and I am hangry! LoL
Good food and service. Manager needs to use AC on hot days, made the eat in experience uncomfortable with out it. It was 84 outside and it was cooler outside than the dining room.
Food was good, customer service was good. They got my drink wrong but other than that everything was great.
Thank you for serving my mom who is in a wheelchair. During Covid she was served thru drive thru. Thank you! Other places refused but you helped. I was there to get food yesterday. And the cheese curds were great! Everything was awesome. Got to come back soon!!! Serving the community is appreciated and disabled elderly folks too!💜
Blizzards were delicious. Line was extremely long and it went by quick. The only thing was my kids always pick DQ because they think it's cool when they flip the Blizzards upside down, and unfortunately they didn't do it tonight
Always get excellent Blizzards packed with goodies all the way to the bottom. Great, friendly service. Would be five stars, but the are slow at times--seems they are under staffed.
I went for ice creams, the service was slow, the people were nice but seemed to be more interested in gossiping with each other than paying attention to the orders.
I've always enjoyed DQ but they have train their employees to be courteous and friendly. First of all, i drove up to order at the menu and i couldn't hear the person taking my order. Eventually got my order through so I drove up to the window and the kid doesn't make eye contact and yells out $13.50. No please, no "Hi, how are you?", no smile and can't even say $13.50 Please. Employees like this need to be trained. Another employee behind him passing with get face with bare hands and continues to handle food. Again, training is essential here. Good luck with your business.
The cook went as far to ask me how i wanted my burger cooked. As i asked for it to be well done. He did an excellent job in seeing to it that i wad satisfied. I really appreciate that kinda service. Especially coming from an employee at a fast food place.. Not to mention the burgers were very good, once again considering it was a fast food burger.... Thank you to the cook that worked yesterday 08/27/2020 afternoon around 4:30 pm....
$7-$8.00 will get you a chicken strip basket with chicken strips, French fries, dipping sauce (country gravy is my fav) a drink and a sundae. And don't forget to purchase a mini dipped cone for the ride home. The original chocolate dipped is my favorite but the cherry dipped is really good too! Hubby and son usually opt for the burgers and love them.
Very impressed with the service staff and cleanliness of the store. During our visit and VERY filthy, urine stained and smelly homeless man came in, sat in a booth to charge his phone. While I am not without compassion, it was MANDATED during COVID to sanitize and disinfect every surface between customers. Nothing was done to the booth this person occupied even though the staff wasn't busy inside!!!! Staff needs to be instructed to sanitize and disinfect every surface when someone this filthy and urine stained visits and occupies a booth or seat. This is a public health hazard. We will not come inside again.
I haven't been to a DQ in years but had some coupons. The bacon cheese burger was good but I wish the bacon was crispy instead of fatty, the fries were decent. I was surprised by how good the pineapple lemonade w/ Tajin cooler was, I recommend getting that if you haven't tried it. Prices aren't cheap but en par with Carl's Jr.
The window person was nice. I loved the chicken strips and gravy
We were stopping by because we were staying at the great Wolf. Lodge, very clean, the service was great. Because I had my kids ranging from 11 to 17. They were very patient with us with our order. We ordered the honey barbecue chicken strips. My daughter loved those the triple burger my youngest son like that one and then the double burger my eldest liked it. The food was great. The blizzards were on point as always, I myself had the Chicken Sandwich and added bacon to it, phenomenal! They had so much patience for me and my children more so my children than me, but I thank them nonetheless, the inside was very clean! We spent a total of like $69 there, but remember there were 4 of us, and we added blizzards and shakes so compared to the economy. Now, that's basically what you're going to pay going out with a family of 4. I would definitely return again.
Food is excellent but service 0 out of 10. Rude college kids work here who need classes in customer service
I went through the drive through my dad loves his butterfinger blizzard and I had the buffalo chicken strips the only thing is everything was so hot in the box my toast went soggy. Other than that it was great
I waited in line for 25 minutes before ordering. This place might just need more help or maybe it’s because the inside is closed still and the drive thru takes longer? Not sure but definitely a long wait.
I've never been here prior to this visit so I'll have to return and order something better than the two for $4 chicken strips and cheeseburger to see if its truly great, but I must say that the country gravy they give to dip your strips in was bomb diggity.
They only get 3 stars cause the blizzards are off the chain. You're gonna have to wait though... Service is slow and dismal, at best! Line in drive through, line inside, 6 people working (used lightly. Only 1 person actually performing any real job functions)
9 times out of 10 my blizzards aren't mixed that well. The bottom half very rarely have any of the candy mixed in down there. Real bummer because this is the only DQ I've been to that doesn't do a good job at it.
Covid update 4/16/21. Drive through service only. Outside seating available but not shaded. Drive through exits on to main road with no easy way back to parking lot. Good soft served icecream. Chocolate dip cones or sprinkles available. Creamy and not expressively sweet. Narrow drive through lane. Plenty of parking.
Nothing to write home about. I still love their gravy as a dipping sauce for the chicken strips. Fries still need work. They're never cooked long enough. Nobody wants a soggy fry!!
Slow as can be in the drive thru. Waited almost 15 minutes as the second car from the window. If their order was that big have them pull around so the line can keep moving.
Good food but don't know what a plain cheese burger is, 3xs they messed up on order and when it was corrected my son's sundae was melted and they wouldn't replace it. But overall it's a nice place to beat the heat.
Dine-in Sunday, around noon. Ordered #1 priced at $14.19 and was asked “medium or large”, asked for large and to my surprise, that was another $3.98 added to the total, which plus tax ended up being $19.67 Didn’t spend too much time looking at the menu to see what the advertised up charge for a combo was, but almost $4 dollars caught me by surprise. The burger tasted fresh, the fries were decent as expected and the order came out relatively fast, within just a few minutes. The seats got my attention in a negative way as they were dirty and stained. Makes you wonder the cleanliness of the food preparation. Napkins were in their original packaging with a hand written sign “I am Napkins” kinda funny, but really?!
Was almost as hot inside as it was outside. My hot fudge didn't even go all the way around the cup.
I’m handed my bag and told “all the food is in there.” When I park up to eat I realize that they didn’t give me a chili cheese dog that I ordered and was charged for.
Drive thru had like 6 people ahead of me and they took forever. When I finally got to the speaker I repeated myself 5 times and every time she read it back to me inncorrectly. Plus way too expensive any more.
Is not the best...... it's not the worst..... if I'm starving i'll try not to pass the one little driveway to get in..... as a matter of fact if you are specifically trying to get to this one make sure you've got maps on.... a printed or step by step direction with you. Don't have anyone to talkative with you..... Whatever you do don't blink or you may have to get back on the freeway to double back.
Came here at around 3. No one inside. 3 people in the drive thru and when I got to the speaker, no one said anything for over 3 minutes. Took 15 minutes to get to the window. Got flat soda. No napkins. I got fries that were SUPER salty. Everyone inside looked like they had no idea what they were doing. Maybe they have new people? Not sure. But... I'm not impressed with the food. The blizzards are good though. No complaints there.
I'm not rating this place 2 stars based on the food. I never got the chance to eat. The service was so so slow and there was only 3 other people. 2 of them, a couple were eating. Another person waiting for Food. After a good 15 minutes of waiting for our order to be taken we left. I know DQ food is good so if you don't mind waiting walk in and try it. Hopefully your experience is better.
Please do not send soft served flavored ice cream through the window (Blizzard gone wrong). I have been eating Blizzards for over thirty years so we all know there is certain consistency, a thickness of the ice cream. Disrespectful especially when you have that one rare craving. Especially with inflation, as Blizzards are now $8 in CA. That was the reality of the visit.
This place has gone downhill. The last several times I've been through, the bread was super stale and barely edible. A few times, I was given ranch when I asked for gravy.
Ordered large drumstick blizzard through drive thru, she turned it upside down in front of me, placed it out of sight, took my money. Handed me a half melted blizzard, dirty service.
The service was very slow. They had 5 or 6 people working inside that I could see. And it still took them 30 minutes to make shakes and ice creams for the four cars in front of my car.
It was my birthday .I was using my coupon mind you it was my first time at any dairy queen. They made me feel so stupid and uncomfortable . Because I was using the coupon . If you don't like your job you shouldnt work there.
sat in drive threw line for ever waiting for food to come out. Food came stone cold. But the frys were hot. Window girl asked if we wanted extra napkins and ketchup.. there wasnt even any in the bag.. and its the drive threw. Your required to provide napkins. Will never go back to thos dq
Every damn time I go and ask for cheesecake add in they don’t ever do it, never make my order right
Horrible experience. People at the drive thru never said a word, handed us our food and then sit the window and wouldn't pay attention when I was trying to wave since we didn't get any sauce. Would not recommend. Customer service doesn't exist here
Disappointed. Ordered an A1 burger and the A1 sauce was about the size of a dime. Had to ask them for more sauce. Very generic food and highly overpriced.
Rude and felt sorushed, im preggo and been craving a cone chocolate dipped in chocolate got vanilla, I am so upset, and no its not just the hormones, because its not the first tim! Hubby's banana split was all melted by the time i got to window. Idk why i even try. The world isnt what it used to be. :(
It was ok. The ice cream was only ice n milk basically frozen milk. There was no taste. The cashier has really dirty gloves which he took money with then he served ice cream an he did not grab the cone with napkins he grabbed with his hands. Nasty...
Order an oreo blizzard and a icecream cone and took over 15 min to get my order when I finally get my order i only get the blizzard and i still had to wait on the ice cream cone another 5 minutes… i complained to manager Hailey that looked like a 18 year old and she said with a nasty attitude they were to busy …. Too busy?? How long can you take to serve icecream on a cone?? DQ need better service and if they’re running low on Personnel then they need to be a little better on attitude especially with management
Waited at drive through speaker for 10 minutes before they decided to help me. Workers walking in and out not even acknowledging than I am sitting there waiting to be helped. No customers in store. No customers in drive through ahead of me. There excuse was that the speaker didn't pick up the sound of my vehicle to alert them. I drive a loud diesel truck. What's the next excuse. Total time 20 minutes with no customers ahead of me for me to get my chicken strip basket. Worst DQ customer service I've been to.
I ordered two blizzards. They were both already melting when passed thru the drive thru window. I saw that on one of the them I was charged a $1 for one extra topping. This place has been going downhill for a long time. If someone doesn't take over that knows what customer service is, they'll be closed. Then Mantecans will have to go to Modesto for their dairy Queen needs.
Not really a drive through had to wait 15 mins at register window for two sandwiches . Definitely not coming back . The staff members just gathered Ik kitchen and been talking to each other while I was waiting for my food at window .
Won't take any bills bigger than a $20 bill. My family is big and we always place orders that come out to over $70. They claim there's a sign claiming this at the speaker in the drive thru and a sign at the pick up window, but there's only a sign at the window. Ridiculous in my opinion, if you can't hire people that can't tell the difference between fake and real bills just say so.
Have came to this place since I was little and have never had an experience like today 09/12/23. The heavy set lady at the drive thru couldn’t hear me from my car and I guess thought that we didn’t speak English so thought yelling would help? Anywho ordered a chicken strip basket in which she gave me no bag and practically threw the box at my husband! No napkins nothing, she turned around and had her back towards the window. Check your cameras and you’ll see what bad service they are giving. Time was about 5:50-6pm.
Nothing personal for 1 star rating I think I just missed the DQ experience of its hey day. I was hangry and en route to an appointment so I rolled into the drive thru. Fries were meh 😑 and rootbeer was not calibrated with sufficient syrup and carbonated water to my liking. However the drive thru staff was pleasant and efficient so if need be I'd roll through again. But seriously imo life is too precious for mediocre fries and rootbeer.
Unfortunately this Dairy queen does not serve orange Julius at this location
The worker had a lot of attitude when I said nevermind im not getting anything. So unprofessional he also said DQ has a lot of things but nothings cheap 😞
Very very slow 🐌. Quality was horrible but its drive through fast food. You get what you paid for
We have been going to this Dairy Queen for years since it's the closest to our location. Lately it seems everytime we have gone in and we're specific with our order it's still wrong ( or they just don't listen ). The Blizzards besides being more expensive in Manteca they are getting them wrong. The one in Stockton off Thorton Rd we were not disappointed once, Sad to say I have to drive 30 minutes to get a good Blizzard now.... I don't recommended and that's not something I like to do.
We love your blizzards. For the last month we have been there at least ten times. My husband and I have started getting two at a time so we would have when we want them throughout the week. My husband got so sick after he ate his. But mine was good. But a few days later we ate the other two. We both got so sick after eating them. It was awful and so painful. Stomach ache was so painful!!! So we figured it out that it was the blizzards. We won't be coming to Dairy Queen anymore. My grandkids get to go on Friday nights because they love in them also. We poured alotof money in your restaurant. But no more. Please teach your team to do way better at cleaning the machine or maybe something with the ice cream. Please figure it out so no one else gets sick.
I was so excited to get Dairy Queen since I’ve been craving it for weeks. I come to this location and I order a strawberry banana blizzard with extra graham base and the guy who made and handed me my blizzard (Gurpreet) took a long time to open the window and take my card which I understand, things get busy. When I saw my blizzard in Gurpreets hand it was not even filled up and there was an inch still empty. When he flipped it quickly, it didn’t look like a blizzard, it was more like a milkshake! He handed it to me and I drove off. I tried it right away and as soon as I put the spoon in it, it was like soup! I returned to the store within 2-3 minutes and as soon as I walked in Gurpreet looked annoyed and said “what’s wrong”. I kindly stated that my blizzard is melted and he said I already ate some, which I barely did but what he was seeing missing was the inch of ice cream he never gave me. I just ignored that and asked if he could just remake it. Gurpreet then dramatically holds the blizzard up in the air and drops it in the garbage in front of me while looking at me. Rude but okay. He rudely then asked his coworker to finish the blizzard he was working on so he could make mine. The coworker goes up to me and apologizes lowly to me which was kind of her. When Gurpreet is done remaking my blizzard he then dramatically holds it up and flips it… which part of the blizzard still falls on the floor from being milkshake consistency still.. then rudely puts it on the counter and walks away. At this point I just leave because I am not dealing with this when I came to get a treat. I don’t know if he was having a bad day but I’ve been in customer service and even in my bad days I’ve never treated someone that way. $10 for a badly made blizzard and poor customer service.
Dine in: Wow extremely disappointed with this place. Made my kid cry, waited patiently about an hour (they were not busy when we ordered) Finally checked on our order and they lost it on their end. They weren't even apologetic. Then as I asked for a refund since we never got our food they girl told the manager just refund the food! The audacity.. No way I asked for a full refund because that was ridiculous. Really had high hopes for this place but come on, if you mess up own up to your mistakes.
Have been several times and each time it's a long wait and I always order an Oreo cookie blizzard and the last 3 times it's more like vanilla ice cream with a hint of something. The last time I went with the family we got 3 blizzards and they were all unidentifiable after getting through the top 1/3. After that it was just vanilla ice cream and the top was not more than 1/2 a cookie crushed into dust or other topping. Bad camera angle but it's only 1/2 gone and there was a little chocolate dust in there
