This restaurant is located in the historic center of Mantua. I went for dinner and was, to say the least, impressed by the quality of the dishes. The staff was attentive and courteous, knowledgeable, and gave us excellent advice. The dishes fully reflect Mantuan tradition, and the wine selection is excellent (and not predictable, I might add). Everything was very satisfying: the pasta is made entirely in-house, and a special mention goes to the lamb chops (exceptional!!!). I will definitely be back.

The restaurant is amazing. We came back the next day for lunch, for I wanted to have Tagliatelle with asparagus and bacon that my wife had on our first visit. Italian restauranteurs love it when tourists come back. They have the local pike dish. It is delicious. The desserts are great too. We sat both inside and outside. We were the only tourists during dinner hours. The restaurant was packed. People were turned away. It is wise to book for dinner. It was not crowded during lunch.

Ottima trattoria in pieno centro città, con l'unica grande pecca che i prezzi sono veramente alti. Il coperto si paga 4 euro e in realtà ci sono pane e grissini normalissimi: uno sproposito. Nove tortelli costano 18 euro: 2 euro a tortello! Carta dei vini fornita ma con prezzi altissimi, così come per i dolci. Insomma, una volta ogni tanto si può anche fare, ma si trova la stessa qualità anche nei dintorni a prezzi decisamente più contenuti. Il personale è a dir poco perfetto, il locale molto elegante e accogliente.

Storica trattoria mantovana, ubicata nello straordinario contesto storico e culturale di piazza Erbe. Una cucina legatissima alla tradizione culinaria in terra dei Gonzaga. Pietanze semplici ma dal gusto eccellente. Il menù presenta poche pietanze ma la scelta mette comunque in imbarazzo. Sono stati qui più volte e non mi sono mai dovuto pentire della scelta, dagli antipasti al dessert. L'ultima volta ho preso dei passatelli in brodo (che buoni!) e il loro celebre coniglio con pancetta e polenta arrostita (piatto fantastico). Anche il budino belga è da leccarsi i baffi. Altre loro specialità sono i tortelli di zucca e il risotto alla pilota, così come lo stracotto di cavallo. Il servizio è sempre cortese e non ingessato; i prezzi sono del tutto onesti.

Pranzo con amici visitando Mantova. In centrissimo, trattoria curata con tanti scorci di Mantova in bianco e nero alle pareti. Piatti tipici mantovani anche della tradizione, buoni! Servizio top con descrizione accurata dei piatti e delle preparazioni, buona cantina! Prenotate con anticipo!

​Il Cento Rampini, situato nella storica e affascinante piazza delle Erbe di Mantova, è un locale che incarna alla perfezione l'atmosfera del luogo. Il personale, sempre cordiale e professionale, contribuisce a creare un ambiente accogliente dove ci si sente subito a proprio agio. ​Ho gustato un risotto alla pilota davvero eccezionale. A impreziosire il piatto, il "pontel," ovvero una costina che si scioglieva in bocca, donando al risotto un sapore e una consistenza unici. Consigliato.

Excellent service and great location, dining in the center of Piazza Erbe is an unparalleled experience. The menu offers traditional Mantuan cuisine, which is very well executed and faithful to its roots, plus some seasonal and more creative dishes. The food is full of flavor and well presented. Pricing is ok, but it is in line with the other restaurants in the historic center. Would definitely recommend if you look for a traditional restaurant.

Il proprietario, arrabbiato non so con chi, ha bestemmiato almeno due volte ad alta voce dentro al locale e io mi sono sentita molto in imbarazzo. I camerieri invece sono stati molto gentili anche se un po frettolosi alla fine del pasto nello sbarazzare. I tortelli di zucca buoni ma freddi. Essendo una turista, avrei gradito che mi descrivessero i piatti per aiutarmi a percepirne la qualità.

The food is solid and the wine is good as well. But there is a general tone of unfriendliness pervading the place. The owner’s dour presence rather overwhelms and he really makes you feel unwelcome. Given the other quality options nearby, I will go elsewhere.

Imbarazzante! Ci siamo presentati con un Golden Retriever. Plateatico sulla Piazza vuoto. Temperatura esterna 19 gradi. Ci viene detto che i clienti al chiuso (pochissimi) hanno freddo. Rispondo che noi vorremmo mangiare all'esterno. Risposta: meglio dentro. Va bene! All'entrata la cliente di un tavolo dice in modo schifato che non vuole avere vicino un cane. Il cameriere ci dice che non si può entrare. Non ci propone un altro tavolo più defilato, ma ci accompagna alla porta. Lascio a chi legge ogni tipo di interpretazione e commento. Mantova, città meravigliosa, non può essere rappresentata da questo ristorante. A mai più!

Service: We ordered room temperature water and were served ice water. (In December.) Food: Capon salad: three small pieces of dried meat, without sauce, on a bed of light lettuce, with tons of raisins, sugary fruit, and even candied fruit. Everything was decidedly too sweet, with no balance of flavors. The fish was cold, the polenta was needlessly burned on the grill. Fortunately, the portions were very small overall. Never again.

If I could score a 0 I would. We are resturant owners and just had lunch. The resturant was hardly full but the waiter ,which is supposly the owner, was extremely rode. He acted importantly busy. My 10 yr old daughter asked for the wifi code and was ignored. The food was terrible. Quantity and quality!! My steak was tiny and burned. All our orders were tasteless and served poorly. Ended up paying 81 Euro for hardly nothing!! Disappointed 😞
