The chef at this one was phenomenal. I’ve never tasted panda this good, I had to wait a little longer so I observed the chef taking his time adding all the seasonings and measuring stuff probably doing it the right way and you could taste the difference. Tofu and eggplant was cooked perfect.

I am PURELY doing this review because of ONE worker! I’m so upset I didn’t get her name, but she was working the food line; first off, she was super patient with me being hard of hearing in a noisy environment. Although I had to wait for my food, she double checked everything, made sure I heard her and was clearly going above and beyond compared to the others (all hard working, but there was something different about her with ethic). I hope to see her again to let her know how much a small gesture made my week.

Liked the foods. Smooth queue system. Better chinese foods than other traditional Chinese resturants. At this store sitting inside is limited, during pick hours, but you can sit outside as well.

Hello I'd like to say that Panda Express is one of the better places to eat in Martinez

Limited parking, although not PE's fault. My on-line order wouldn't go through and the website didn't highlight the problem. But they were donating 20% of sales to the Contra Costa Sheriff's food drive, which is pretty awesome. So went and stood in line to order.

Since the below review, they have gotten so much better! The manger even apologized to me. I never have issues anymore. This is absolutely the worst Panda Express in the whole bay area!! They have horrible customer service and they always take forever with their food!

Came here with a group of 12 people total, we took up 3 full tables but still the restaurant is small. They can't really control that though. They managed 12 people very well with no mistakes and zero delay in getting our food together. The food tasted as good as Panda Express does. Employees were very nice.

Came here with a group of 12 people total, we took up 3 full tables but still the restaurant is small. They can't really control that though. They managed 12 people very well with no mistakes and zero delay in getting our food together. The food tasted as good as Panda Express does. Employees were very nice.

Food was good, but you need to pack your containers full or the price isn't worth it. Not sorry~

I dont like how they ration the food. Kind of off putting when they are sprinkling food onto the plate and shaking the plate to spread the rice to cover the bottom without putting too much on the plate. They are still giving unwrapped utensils, and 2 napkins with your meal. Yet the prices are expensive. Not even really worth it any more.

There has been a long wait the last few times I have gone, under COVID restrictions some is to be expected but the other issue is waiting until they are out a a dish before starting a replacement. Needs to have better "stock" planning. Food is good.

They had one person prepping all the pickup orders and this guy did not have any sort of urgency. I watched him take nearly 2-5 mins to get one order ready. He looked like he had add, kept getting distracted by other things while going at snail pace. I waited nearly 30 mins for my food and couldnt cancel the order because it was already paid.

They get the job done. Your plate will be filled with an allocated amount of food. No need to make eye contact or pleasantries. This is not a full service location. A robot/machine, programmed correctly, could do the same.

Panda Express is now taking shortcuts but still wacking you full price for their food. For example teriyaki chicken is now partially boiled or microwaved first before grilling making it rubbery or wet. The rice has been changed probably because of food availability.

1st the design of the place is ridiculous. If theres more then 2 people in line the front door is blocked. When i got a to go order they didnt put forks in my bag i would usually say no big deal but the utensils and soda machine are all the way in the back by the bathrooms. End of rant

Used to have good food when they first open now it's just crappy and it sucks because of it .it used to be way better than the Pleasant Hill one. I don't go there nearly as much as I used to because of the food decline

Nothing is ever available and the selection is very slim after 7 in the evening. I went in there this evening and got the family feast. Be sure to ask exactly how much the higher-priced items are before you get to the register as they seem to forget to tell you that there's an upcharge for some of the specialty items I don't think I will be back

This location is just fair at best. Quality and quantity is inconsistent. Sometimes you get Kung Pao Chicken but more times then not you get Kung Pao Veggies. Any attempt to point this out to the restaurant is met with a "Everyone gets the same portions." Messages to corporate have gone unanswered.

I went to this place ordered food i got it, 3 plates. I get home and there’s only 2 in the bag but i seen all 3 in there. This place absolutely sucks.

I have tried this location twice, and that's enough for me. Both times food was OLD, and COLD. Drive the extra few miles to Pleasant Hill location if you want fresh and hot food.

Food was not fresh only rice n noodles orange chicken was burnt n dry. The beef broccoli was dry the cream cheese wontons were burnt probably were there all day.

Ordered for delivery got message for pu tried 20 times to contact them ..phone message etc NOTHING can't resolve Ñever going again ,!after 2 hours not a check WhY it wasn't picked up.customer service definitely NOT their strong suit!!!

Asian lady was short on portion serving, got the new shrimp and she only gave me three shrimp and packed with Vegie and answered very rude to me back when I asked if she portion me correctly and asked if I wanted double , I said no double, but I personally felt like she Chose out my protein to her liking, rude at first as well, I let it go and said it was Ok I'll take what I got, didn't not want to make a big deal of it, i just asked once politely but was answered rudely.

Line of 12 people while you fulfill an online order? Don't even acknowledge the guests waiting. Just wow. Never coming back.

I like panda's food, but this location is the worst I've ever tried. Now I know the reason why they had only 1 person eating in at the lunch time. Their portion sizes are soooo small. It's a good idea to use a different plate if you want to fool your customers. But you won't fool their bellies. I'd rather go an extra mile to a Pleasant Hill location next time.

Place sucks!! Always behind..not proactive in cooking food, especially around meal time. Lack intelligence. Placed mobile order and provided 20 min lead time. Had not touched it when I arrived. I am here now and they told me 10 mins for terry chicken. Now 20 and still have not received food. Go to Concord Panda by Trader Joes...runs well

Asian lady shorts portions . I have never been to a panda express where i felt ripped of like this. She counted my shrimp, beff w broccoli had no beef i it literally, she is so stingy and just rude. I asked for a sample and she said no sample. Penny pincher causes business to walk away….. i highly do not recommend this location

I was there to buy my food and I noticed the unprofessional behavior of the Manager to the employees, it was so rude, and she was so mad and loud in front of all the customers!!! I never seen this unprofessional behavior from any managers in all the Panda Express restaurants I’ve ever been! I looked at her name tag and her name was June! I hope the HR people change the manager in this panda! Because the way she was to employees was not right at all!!!

Really disappointed with this location. I went in, I wasn't greeted even though several employees looked at me, I was the only the customer left in line who hadn't been helped, the staff was more focused on fulfilling online orders than in house customers. I ended up getting sick of waiting and walked out without getting food. I will not be coming back to this location.

I waited outside for about 12 min with a few other people because they were only letting 5 people inside at a time. Anyone who called in their order got to cut the line! Their orders weren't made until they were inside. Couples went in and weren't asked to wait outside so the rest of us could order. I finally went in and told Someitra (sp?) that the were several upset people waiting outside in the cold and that their system wasn't working. She went off on me!! Then she told me that if I didn't like their system than I could go elsewhere...which I did.

Be sure not to go to Panda Express in Martinez more than an hour before they close, because they are already shutting down operations and you will find many dishes missing. This was my experience last night where they tried to justify this failure. So I went to another restaurant close, also closing at the same time, but which had everything on their menu available.

The food i ordered a plate which was like a mini bowl the problem was that the manager serve my food he need to pay more attention we are paying lots of money we deserve a very good plate I don’t think I will go back to these panda.

Sad to be posting this because it’s my local panda, but I’ve walked into this location 2-3 times this week and never have I once not experienced the manager scolding her staff infront of customers, the employees for the most part are fantastic and always helpful with the exception of the Filipino woman June who I assume is the management. Last night I picked up my doordash, food was old, June is screaming at her staff from the looks of it, taking out whatever problems she has outside of work on them, one staff member walked out while she was screaming about fortune cookies. Today I walk in to order and again there is the manager yelling at another worker about his professionalism while he is ringing me out. The food is fresh when she is not running the show and customers feel very uncomfortable I witnessed multiple people get up and leave or walk out of the line. Panda please do better, I am glad to go the extra couple minutes to the next panda over.

Meanwhile, I had 20 guests waiting for their food at our event. I didn't get a single sorry or apologies. This place is trash, never again.
