I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Antica Locanda Luigina! The charming rustic ambiance, combined with modern comforts, made for a perfect getaway. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my experience was exceptional. The location is serene, nestled in the beautiful Val di Vara valley, and it’s an ideal base for exploring the Cinque Terre and the surrounding areas. The on-site restaurant was a highlight—delicious Ligurian cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. They even have a separate vegan menu, which is a thoughtful touch for plant-based travelers. My room was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed, including reliable Wi-Fi and a lovely garden view. I also appreciated the private parking and the hotel’s dedication to supporting cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. I highly recommend Antica Locanda Luigina for anyone seeking a tranquil and authentic Italian countryside experience. I can’t wait to come back!

This is little gem of a place, a quiet hotel on a twisty back road but near the main highway. And an amazing restaurant with local produce.

Excellent find! Wish I had my car to drive on the beautiful mountain road instead of a minivan rental- plenty of local cyclists and motorcyclists taking advantage of it. Tip - ignore Google navigation if you're coming from the east on SS1 as it has you do this side-road loop so you're on the correct side of SS1 for parking as it thinks you can't make a left... Great value - for less than €500 our party of 6 had a good amount of drinks in the evening, followed by an excellent dinner with wine/beer/drinks, 3 rooms for the evening and a superb breakfast in the morning. Wonderful service by the staff.

A sincere gem in the mountains after a winding drive on the small route of Italy in the South. I like charming little places with that touch of nostalgie. Despite no more buffet apres the Covid years, the fixed a la carte breakfast is awes😇me!!! Ce vraiment! 1st village in Europe to be 100% BIO certified, locally sourced.

The best food we’ve had in a very very long time. All the ingredients were fresh and it was all self made. The desert, we had the Panna Cotta, was also extremely delicious. The slightly higher price is definitely worth it.

I had the good fortune of staying and dining here in September. I was on a journey of discovery (My great grandparents emigrated from Casarza & Cardini). The food was excellent. Accommodations comfortable. Did I mention the food? Seriously outstanding. I plan on returning next year … and hope to stay for a longer period of time … hiking… biking… walking - whatever … just so I can eat here again!!! Walnut liquor amazing . I cried when I tasted the boar pasta sauce … because while my nonna used beef - the flavor brought me immediately to her kitchen. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE….

Absolutely delicious food. The pasta was silky and in the sauces you could taste all the different ingredients. The place looks simple, but the kitchen puts a lot of love in the ingredients and the food. I would recommend this Ristorante to everyone traveling the SS1! Grazie mille!

Room has really nice shampoo, soap, shower gel, tea selection, and little cookie snacks! The bed was really comfortable and they provided lots of towels. Everything was clean and breakfast was amazing! They made us capuchinos and there were fresh croissants, homemade cookies, and juice, served outside on the porch. It was beautiful.

Location: optimal! Service and food was very good. Our party of three were very pleased with the half pension options. Rooms were very clean. Bar area is very lively with the local crowd, nice place for a pint o'beer or calice di vino.

We were really pleased to find an interesting and savoury vegan menu. The raviolis were absolutely delicious ! The minestrone ( non vegan ) is a must try !

Stayed here 1 night.. it didn't appeal to me as a 3 star hotel to be honest... the interior is quiet dated but maybe that's supposed to be the charm of the hotel.. the room was however clean but the toilet had a musty smell but also clean.. when we checked the closets we found some food from the previous guests.. which means the room was not checked properly... there is no elevator in here, so this hotel is a no go for guests in a wheelchair... on the plus side, the breakfast is included in the price.. would I recommend this place? No.. unless you have no other place to stay or you want a quiet place to recharge.. there is a beautiful river not very far from here..

We stayed here for 1 night. The room was ok, there is only no AC. The shower is working well. Bed is comfortable. The staff was not friendly. They know english but still speak Italian to us. She let wait us long time for breakfast, there was no other customers at that time and at check-out too, like we dont have other plans.
