Oh my goodness! A very well organized place with awesome beer and fantastic food I regret not covering more food and beer from the menu. I will definitely visit this fantastic place again. The pretzels are way too good, fresh and soft along with the beer sauce. The fries, oh my God no one can beat them at least in the area. The americano coffee was amazing and it Smelled delicious. I didn't expect this. The Dub's IPA is my personal favorite and the lagers were also amazing.
Beers and food were all delicious. Just a neat place and will be back to try more of the menu! Edit to add photos from our second visit. The chicken and waffles: 10/10!! So delicious. Spicy, but full of flavor.
Wonderful evening out. Great food, drink and entertainment by Natalie Ness. Bartender Travis was outstanding!!
Great beer, great food, great service! We went on opening night and the place was packed. We were able to find a spot at the bar quickly though. For being so crowded service was quick and friendly. Our server Jason was great and the beer was on point. We'll be back for sure. It's great to have another local spot to frequent. Update: came back for some beer and appetizers and it did not disappoint.
After my husband tried the German Chocolate Cake Stout 4 yrs ago at the Harrisburg Brew Fest- he's waited for this moment! They've only been open for 11 days, but you'd never know it. Food was great, service was great, and the beer- well it's freaking fantastic! My only criticisms would be these- actually not criticisms but more suggestions. #1- The perogies were very good, but I think they'd be so much more fun and easier to eat if they were the mini sized ones and served with dipping sauces. Everything else on the menu besides soup & salads were handheld and I think that would make it a more fun appetizer. #2- I was surprised there wasn't a pretzel on the appetizers- like one of those big amazing fried pretzels or even the fried pretzel sticks or bites. (I love the ones with the everything seasoning on them, served with a beer cheese) I know it's kinda cliché bc pretty much every brewery has a pretzel on their menu, but we always get one everywhere we go bc or daughter loves them. #3- I feel like there should be some desserts and maybe suggest a beer pairing with the menu items. Just my 2 cents. We will definitely be back often- even though it's an hour drive- it's so worth it!!
So glad Wolf is finally open! We were so excited to try it out, and it definitely lived up to the hype! I got a cider flight from Big Hill Ciderworks & Grand Illusion Hard Cider! Blue Illusion was my favorite 😋 The house made jalapeño ranch is a must try with the double fried fry tower! 🍟 Our dad loved the margherita flatbread, and they have other flatbread options too! 🍕 The tapenade and crostini were so good on the cheese board! The cheese board is vegetarian too. You can’t go wrong with fried chicken and waffles and Wolf’s didn’t disappoint. Pro tip: get some jalapeño ranch to dip it in! We had a great experience at Wolf Brewing Co and can’t wait to go back! The service, food, and drinks were fantastic. 🤩
We wanted to be close to home and wanted a few beers. We had been into Wolf’s one other time and knew the atmosphere was good. We were over early on a Friday evening and could take advantage of happy hour. I saw a Saison on their beer menu and was so happy. Lemon Thyme Saison was delicious. I also sampled the berry sour, and it was another good choice. My husband had the Hefeweizen, a Czech Amber lager and a Czech Pils and was very happy. We split the half size poutine and pierogies. The gravy on the poutine was really flavorful and good. It was all very good! We look forward to stopping back in soon!
The food and drinks were great! My husband enjoyed the beer and was impressed by the variety that they make. I enjoyed the cocktails. The crab cake sandwich was very good and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the salmon BLT.
Stopped in to try somewhere new for drinks. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and live music when we arrived. My husband enjoyed the beers, and my Dubai chocolate martini was delicious. We’ll definitely be back to Wolf!
We stopped at Wolf Brewing on a whim as we were driving through Mechanicsburg. It’s definitely worth the stop!! We each enjoyed a flight of 4 beers & shared their pierogi with butter & onions appetizer. I had the blackberry chicken salad which was so simple & so well thought out. Delicious!! My daughter had the pit beef sandwich & my husband had the Italian hoagie which they both said were very good as well. I do suggest getting the fries with your sandwich instead of the house chips. The fries are very good!!
I visit here on most weekends to watch a little football and have either Czech the Forest. The pumpkin nitro or even the cider or mead. I had the salmon on my last visit and it was fantastic. The staff is friendly and always making sure you’re ok.
Came to Wolf Brewing Co. For a friends meet up for Messiah University homecoming. The atmosphere when you enter has an inviting regal feeling with the fireplace being the center of attention when you walk in. We were able to reserve a table and it was ready with no wait when we arrived. That evening they had great live music playing in the dinning area. Great entertainment to have whole waiting for our food. The food was basic pub food but with a delicious flair! Everything tasted fresh and farm to table taste. I would definitely return and recommend this Brewing company.
We went for trivia night and it was a blast!!! The food was absolutely amazing and so was the service. We sat outside with patio heaters that they kindly turned on and adjusted for us! We can’t wait to go back and with more friends next time!
Overall, this brewery has an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. Our server was friendly and offered helpful menu suggestions. The hazy IPA was smooth and worth the recommendation. The soup and crab cakes hit the mark as well. Our only reservation was with the cornbread which strayed a little too far from tradition. The molasses butter wasn’t our favorite
Happened to Wolf Brewing while traveling the PA Turnpike and wanting to find something other than chain restaurants or pizza. I was so pleasantly surprised and will be back again and again. Although I opted for appetizers and not a full meal, I was not disappointed with my decision. Fries with rosemary and cheese curds were delightful. And the crab drip was out of this world good. Each of the four beers in my flight were exceptional with the Wolftoberfest making me yearn for Fall. The staff was very attentive and helpful. If you're driving the Turnpike, do yourself a favor and stop in.
Great beer and wonderful food. Can be noisy inside near the bar especially when they have live music. Love sitting at the bar outside. Food is very good. Beer is excellent. We go here about twice a month. Nice place to take friends as the menu has variety.
During a recent evening visit to Wolf's Brewery, we were warmly greeted upon arrival, setting a positive tone for the evening. Our server was exceptionally friendly and provided attentive, respectful service throughout our visit. Initially, our outing was intended for shopping, but we decided to stop for a meal on a whim. Despite being more casually dressed than many of the other patrons, we felt completely welcome and at ease. We began with appetizers, choosing the pierogies and empanadas. Both dishes were flavorful and expertly prepared. For the main course, my son ordered the pizza, my wife opted for the large shrimp special, and I chose the spicy duck breast. Each dish was delicious, with the duck breast cooked to perfection. To complement the meal, I sampled two of their house beers, both of which were excellent and paired well with the food. Overall, our experience at Wolf's Brewery was outstanding. The combination of great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this a place we would happily return to in the future.
Great clean place. Staff was courteous, reservations highly recommended. Was full all night. Corned beef had the best sauerkraut per my wife, and the fries were the best she's had. Beer was great, had all the sours. Best part was the musican there, Dave Gates and our waitress, Meagan. She was honestly the best waitress we've had. On point, not overly checking in every 2 minutes, good conversations and cheery. When we are back in town, we will request her. Oh and the soccer game in the urinal...made me giggle.
Very friendly staff will greet you as you walk in to a fantastic 'lounge' type area while you wait to be seated. The main area is very open and spacious, not jam packed like some other places. As they are newly opened, I am sure as time goes by they will utilize their space a bit more. Please just don't make it cramped as you grow for your customers ! Was not able to try everything this visit because it was just a quick meet up, however I plan to be back. Beers were all good and I am sure selection will grow as they get settled in. Also did not have a chance to enjoy the deck as it was closed for private function... but what better excuse to visit again soon ? *Update 8/13/21* After visiting again several times and trying many more items from both menu's, I can not recommend this place enough. Has become a favorite of mine. I have also consulted with the Marketing Director at a local hotel and have encouraged them to send guests to Wolf Brewing when they visit. They in turn prominently display both laminated menus as well as printed ones for guests to take with them to make their lunch and dinner choices. Together we have sent tons of guests from all over to Wolfs Brewing and week after week we continue to hear nothing but praise. Never a bad review and that is something to be proud of. (And there is no marketing deal or anything for my review, this is word of mouth getting a small business some help to grow.) Added 5th star to my original 4 star review because it has been well earned for sure.
We were out Sunday shopping and looking for a new place to eat, and of course, I wanted a new beer to try . We just looked online, and I was reading reviews and decided on Wolfs Brewing. We are from the Greencastle/ Chambersburg area, so we're not really familiar with this area. I also didn't read that Sunday was brunch till 2pm . I am a breakfast guy, so I was happy about that . Our breakfast was very good along with jelly . Pa traditional breakfast was perfect. I wish I had time or close enough to try more of their beer . I had the Dubs IPA. Awesome choice for me . I love IPAs . The hopper, the better. Next we are in the area we will try a regular meal . The parking is pretty nice as the inside of the building is super nice. They have it decorated for Christmas, and my wife said it's beautiful. The staff was super friendly from the time you walked in till you paid the bill . If you're looking for a new Brewery to try this, it might be it . Thanks, Wolfs, for a nice brunch and a great beer .
Wolf Brewing Co. is a great addition to the neighborhood and a solid choice for dining with great food, drinks, and service. The food, including the sauces, is made from scratch, with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. I highly recommend the Salmon BLT.
Stopped here for a bite & a beer before heading to Williams Grove Speedway. Friendly atmosphere. Staff was friendly from the hostess to the waiter. Great service, food & beer was very good. Definitely stop in if you're in this area.
We got to eat outside, we got here early and it was a private patio!! The staff were so nice, the waitress was excellent, the food was fantastic!! We had the burger(not pictured) and the Tarragon chicken salad!!! We got fries and the homemade ranch, both excellent!!!! We had the pristine by nature (not pictured), the black satin(in the champagne flute), and the lemon-thyme hibiscus saison!! All perfect choices!!!
My wife and I brought my older family for brunch, it was excellent! A musician played in the background of the beautifully designed brewery during our visit. The beers we had were impeccable, and the food was delicious! Our server was very friendly, I cannot wait for our next visit! The beers didn’t leave you feeling heavy and bloated. We all noted that we felt full and content from our meals, but not gutted out. If you have food sensitivity, or just want a solid meal 10/10 recommend.
"The Wolf Burger was the way to go this weekend of course The Duke. Stewart was our server and he made our visit just that much more special."
Awesome atmosphere, friendly service, tasty food, and the beer was perfect. You can tell they care about giving people a great experience.
Wolf Brewing is one of those rare spots that instantly makes you feel like part of the family. The bartenders are warm, welcoming, and genuinely enjoy connecting with guests — it sets the tone for an awesome experience from the moment you walk in. I tried the blackberry sage margarita, and it was absolutely fantastic — perfectly balanced, refreshing, and bursting with flavor. Their beer lineup is equally impressive, with brews that highlight ingredients and styles from around the world, each one crafted with clear passion and precision. What really stood out was the interaction with the owner/brewer, who took the time to chat about the brewing process and the inspiration behind the different beers. That kind of personal touch takes the experience from great to unforgettable. Wolf Brewing is the perfect mix of friendly faces, creative drinks, and authentic craft pride — a must-visit for anyone who loves good beer and good people. 🍻
My daughters and I just had cocktails and food at Wolf's. There was a problem with their computers in putting back our full food order to the kitchen. Unfortunately, We received half the food. However, they comped our entire food bill. That was more than expected!!! I have been to their establishment and never had issues. Sometimes things happen. That experience has only made me want to visit them more! Great service, amazing food, great brews and cocktails!!! Highly recommend!
If I could give this place 10 stars, I would, solely on the fact that most of their beer is GLUTEN FREE. Obviously everyone has different levels of sensitivity so this might not be the case for all Celiacs, but I had no problem with anything that I drank and had SO much fun. The cream ale was my favorite, and I got two crowlers to go on my way back to Wisconsin because it was that good. Dogs are allowed outside, and the staff graciously turned on all of the heaters for us (since we had two dogs with us). Seems to get really crowded during sports games, and I had a burger on some lettuce (they did have gluten free buns, too, though!) that was absolutely delicious. Please distribute your beer, it's amazing!
We stopped in to Wolf Brewing for a (very) late dinner after a swim meet at a local college. They have a really nice selection of beers, and the donation to a local charity with the purchase of a flight of beers was a fantastic! We took advantage of this to sample some really nice beers as well as a hard cider. Everything on the food menu was locally sourced, so we tried a few appetizers, a burger, a couple sandwiches (spicy chicken and lamb), plus desserts: the peanut butter pie was good, the flourless cake was even better and the ice cream was FANTASTIC! Overall it was a great meal with awesome service. They even had live music and the fella playing the guitar and singing was actually pretty talented (one of the people in our party was also a musician and he was impressed). We were the last group in the place at 10 PM and they didn't hurry us out of there at all!! HIGHLY recommend this place!
My wife and I went to eat lunch at Wolf Brewing Co. I had the Wolf burger, which was delicious. My wife had the cheese Panini with turkey which had apple butter on it, which was a little odd, but she said was delicious also. We both had a seasonal cider to drink. Our server Macy, was very pleasant and helpful. We would highly recommend you check out this establishment . We will be back.
I like trying new places, and stopped in when we were in the area. We stopped late afternoon mid-week and the atmosphere walking in was very welcoming and relaxing. They have a nice variety of beer, as well as other drink selections. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they donate $1 from each flight to a local charity or non-profit, with the charity changing each month. We tried a few appetizers, and the cheese curds were delicious! Our meals were also delicious.
I was in here once before, probably a year ago or so, and didn’t have the best experience but was in the area and decided to give it another try. I sat at the bar and was greeted quickly by one of the bartenders. I had one of the IPAs and a sour. Both beers were good. I ordered the margherita flatbread- that was very tasty too. The bartenders were friendly and personable. Parking was easy - there is a big lot and there were not a lot of people here on a Sunday early evening which was fine with me. If you’re in the area stop and check them out.
The food here is really amazing. We had brunch on a Sunday, which we wanted to order everything on the menu because it all looked so good. Ordered the Croque Madame and was amazed. The beer is crafted to impress your senses with flavor and texture and we like that none of the beers are filtered so the full flavor of the hops, grains, and barley all come through to your glass. A really great surprise to eat and drink here in the middle of nowhere.
First time here this evening. It's a nice restaurant. Food is really good. We got the Chesapeake Crab Dip for an appetizer. Hubby got the Salmon and I got the Crab Cake. I took 1 star away because of the limited parking and it just so happens that on Friday evening at 6:30 they have live music, which I detest. It WAS nice and peaceful in here and now I can't hear the person who is 3' in front of me. We will definitely come back but will avoid Friday at 6:30. Update 10/03/24: adding more pics. Thursday night trivia at 6:30 is fun!
Good can be hit or miss (lately as of 3/25 it’s a hit). Their shirts they sell are 11/10 so comfortable. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. Drinks are always amazing. Love the family friendly atmosphere ****edit 4/17/25 for more pics
Beer was good, lots of variety. Veal short rib was very tasty but the amount of short rib was really noticeably small. I can't find any other pics on Google review for this place to know if that's their norm for this dish, but it's the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.
We went on a recommendation from friends. The beer and food were good (both imperial stouts were sweet, but I like that), the pumpkin ale tasted like medicine, did not like that. The hibiscus saison was tasty. We only ate the French fries appetizer, there was a nice amount for the price. It's far from where we live, so we won't frequent, but we weren't disappointed.
We've visited a couple times now with the first being opening weekend and the latest just this past weekend. The place itself is absolutely awesome; inside and out. Large open rooms, very large L shaped bar, outdoor seating with games. Very clean. There's always a beer on that I want to try and generally the beer is good. We haven't had the greatest luck with the food but I will say the French fries are the best in the area; crispy fresh cut. Service is always good as well.
Charming location, our waitress was super friendly. I got a seasonal cocktail slushy, loved it, definitely give it a try if you enjoyed tart drinks! Boyfriend got a flight of craft beer. All were great, but the Blueberry pie sorbet was the ultimate favorite! We got beer muscles for appetizer, also delicious! Main meal we had the fried chicken & waffles and the mushroom farmer burger! Both were tasty, but after I tried a bite of my boyfriend’s burger, I wished I had gotten that instead haha! The chicken & waffle was sweet & a little spicy, a nice tangy taste.
Love the food and service!! You gotta try the Wolftoberfest 🍺. Definitely will be coming back and maybe bringing the pup out back 🐕🦺. I just have to remove one star for the live music during prime time Friday night. I prefer to be able to talk to my friends.
Sunday brunch, live music, good food, decent beer all reasonably priced. Music performance by Matt Jameson, solo acoustic coffeehouse vibe, very enjoyable and friendly. Staff was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Ordered beer flights, chicken and waffles and the Wolf burger. Chicken and waffles was great, felt the burger could have used more sauce. Hand cut French fries were excellent.
The service and food was excellent. Portion size was generous. Beer was good. The negative factor was the Trivia person. Totally broke any relaxing atmosphere in the place. Constantly walking around and passing out and collecting trivia sheets was annoying and the use of a microphone to conduct the trivia was very distracting. If your restaurant is going to have trivia I suggest investing in an electronic console and hand out tablets that sync to the trivia game. Not everyone there wants to play trivia and having a loud person simply giving the answers is not a great experience.
The beer is delicious! The brewery and space is wonderful. However, the food is mediocre. I wish your brewery much success but the food, portions and food prices don’t pair with your beer. I’d definitely come back again for beer but wouldn’t buy food, again.
So yesterday was my first visit to Wolf brewery. All in all it was an average experience. My lady and I took a seat at the bar and were promptly greeted. Pleasant waitress and attentive. We ordered a flight of beer and one of those were full of citrus flavor and one was banana flavor forward. Banana flavor kind of threw me. The other was kind of tasteless. The other citrus one tended to leave a bitter aftertaste and was cloudy. My lady ordered a larger sample of her favorite and I had water with my meal. My lady ordered the House burger with slaw on the side. The burger was cooked to a nice medium rare and was topped with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. Definitely would order again. The slaw had little zing and could have been pleasantly transformed with a bit more vinegar , Cheyenne pepper, and a bit more salt. I ordered the beef sandwich. It came topped with giardiniera vegetables. And a side of fries. The beef was a bit dry and the vegetables really didn't take it to a higher level. Would have rather had a horseradish sauce , cheese and au jus for dipping. The fries were a bit soggy. I was expecting more crunch from a twice fried fry. Maybe they hang them above the hot oil between frying. After her meal she ordered an espresso. She loved it. I also ordered sides of sauces to try with my fries. One was a ranch with jalapenos, the other was a garlic something. Neither memorable. Overall a nice place. Would have to try more beer to find a favorite. They have a little wolf inspired gift area, and enough bathrooms even if you're questioning your identity. $61 bucks for all this. $66 was what I paid. That should be fair for lunch considering all costs.
The entertainment personality at another restaurant pointed us towards Wolf Brewing for music bingo. We went and caught the last few minutes of happy hour. Music bingo was a blast, but for being a classy establishment we were surprised by how greasy the food was and how pricey a pint was- even during happy hour! Our server checked on us frequently, but I still had to use my words and request refills.
Menu looked great. Food was average at best. Perogies came out cold. Waiter was absolutely overwhelmed . Forgot an entire meal — had to ask for it. Tough to get another beer ordered too. I’ll wait a while before I try this spot again.
This is a restaurant if you think Appalachian brewing is bad but you were hoping for worse. Service was subpar for a Sunday during prime lunch hours. Sandy had a poor attitude with my family after they were confused about who to follow to a table. The live music was deafening and likely the reason for the miscommunication. The food was pallet-able but the menu was lacking in options. Everyone got their entree at different times. You should only go here for a beer
I've been here before and had other food that was okay but tonight's visit was not too great. I like the ambience of this restaurant (fireplace, nice decor, etc.) but ultimately food is what you come to a restaurant for. It's basically one big open room with concrete floors so hearing your tablemates can be difficult at times, especially when it's busy. I ordered the Italian sandwich/sub that's in the picture. Strike 1 against the sandwich was that it was 18 dollars. 18 dollars for a deli sandwich and chips is not great value. It's really not that much meat anyway and it looks like it was about 8-10 inches long. Supposedly it was on a Liscio's roll, but that doesn't justify the price. The fries? They were all right but they were two dollars extra. Strike 2 is that it had some sort of stringy meat it in it like prosciutto. I was pulling strings of something out of my sandwich while I was eating it. Strike 3 is that the sandwich was dry so I asked for a little extra oil/dressing/whatever it was that the sandwich supposedly already had, but not enough of. I got my bill at the end of the night and I was charged a dollar for the extra oil/dressing. Seriously? An 18 dollar sandwich and extra oil costs a dollar? A tablemate asked for some hot sauce for his French fries (since he ran out of ketchup) and he also got a surprise dollar charge (he had ordered a nearly 20 dollar meal and received about a tablespoon or two of hot sauce). At the end of the night, a sub and fries, a burger and chips, an alcoholic drink, and 3 pretzel sticks and cheese set us back almost 90 bucks. Other guests at my table came back with the same reaction of this food was all right, but not worth the price. 19 bucks for a single patty burger and chips, not a great value. I've been here three times (as a guest in someone else's group) but I would not make an effort to come back.
We were very excited to visit but were quickly disappointed. The atmosphere was loud and filled with children and loud games. Could barely have a conversation with the person next to me without shouting. THEN the food. The drinks seemed very overpriced compared to others in the area and I wasn’t even impressed with what I received. And as far the Birria Nachos… there were literally three shreds of meat and then an entire platter of onions and tortilla chips and that’s it… for $17? After three nachos the meat was gone and we immediately asked for the check to leave. Will not be returning.
