Ok, so my buddy not gonna say his name, but Alex, well what I do because the dounuts are like my favorite here in town I don't know why, but he always buys two dozens. Not 1 but 2, I buy 1 of assorted kinds, now the 2nd one is a dozen of Chocolate and chocolate only which goes under his pillow, why, have no idea but that's how good they are and because I have to hide them from the lil ones. Can't help it that's why its 2 dozens and not 1.

I never expect much from Yum Yum Donuts, especially considering it’s a chain that never closes. But that doesn’t stop them from working hard and serving up fresh donuts around the clock. This is the first location of this chain that I’ve visited more than once! They are constantly keeping fresh donuts in stock and they’re never stale or dried out. My biggest concerns with donut shops are that the donuts have been sitting there since the first batches that morning or that there will be multiple fruit flies in the display case. I have never had an unfortunate experience like that at the Merced location. I usually try to find a mom and pop donut shop in town, but this place is so friendly and personable I don’t mind that it’s a franchise. They are a location that cares about customer service and serving up quality products. You can also catch them making the donuts fresh if you’re early enough!

The staff's teamwork at Yum Yum Donuts is incredible. When there are several people in line, the staff makes sure that each customer's needs are met. The staff's suggestions are also on point and I always leave Yum Yum Donuts with a smile on my face. I love the service and the fluffiness, sweetness of their donuts. Parking is also convenient and easy.

Real doughnuts! Perfect chewy texture perfect amount of sweet. I tried the pink Homer Simpson for the first time here. Chocolate is delicious. The original glaze is crazy good too. It's a 5 a.m. fix after work and I usually get the super big gigantic ones. Love.

One thing that's great about the place is that it's open 24 hours a day. So if you have a craving for a donut in the middle of the night no worries. Just head on down there for fresh donuts. Every time I've gone the donuts have been so fresh and tasty and the racks were always full. I love maple bars and they have the freshest, best maple bars that I have had in a long time. They have the regular size and then they have the giant size maple bars and donuts and other pastries. If you get a dozen donuts they will give you 14. Other bakeries give me 13 as a Baker's Dozen but their Bakery gives 14 as the baker's dozen. So if you have a weakness for donuts try them, you will love it.

Giving it a 5 star reason, well... one of my teachers told me about the place that she recommended me to go there (Since l ask my family about it and they okay then l told them the date where my family going to bring it to my high school.) it was on December since we brought 5 boxes, 2 boxes for my Art Class since my Art teacher brought one box and 3 boxes to my English Class. For the remaining donuts, l bring it to my history class and give it to my class. It was an early release on December 15, l guess? So yea, l would recommend visiting the place.

This is a great place for donuts, especially since it’s open 24/7. It does have flaws, which is why I gave it 4 stars. When it’s busy, it does take a while to place order, and it sucks when all you want are some donuts. They usually have one person and if not two, but if it’s busy it doesn’t help much. The also don’t always have the more popular donuts ready to sell, maybe I’ve gone at the wrong times but it’s happened multiple times. Overall, a great place to buy donuts for a breakfast coffee or a late night craving.

So I come here from time to time but recently from my last visit I saw about 10 flies swarming the donuts and the worker didn't seem to care. They don't have lids to fully shut the donuts in so the back is exposed which is how the flies go on the donuts. As soon as I saw that, it completely killed my appetite. It's very disgusting knowing that they don't care to keep precautions for things like that. And it sucks because their donuts are actually good. Hopefully the manager/owner sees this and changes the way the donuts are kept because I'm not coming back until they do.

Senior citizen came in to get 6 apple fritters for her book club Asked if she could have them cut in half. Was told flat NO they couldn’t cut in half for her. No reason given. This place needs to be sold to a new owner or completely hire new staff. There is a older white haired gentleman that never wants to make a sandwich and doesn’t want the staff to make a sandwich if it’s even a little busy. It puzzles me why they want to deviate from the regular menu, it’s something that should be STANDARD. This is a reoccurring problem. I came in today and they said “it was rush hour” so they couldn’t make a sandwich. Again this is not the first time they have complained or refused to make me a sandwich. It is getting absolutely ridiculous at this point. Either re staff, sell the business or take the sandwiches off the menu since no one will ever make them. I am 100% displeased. I shouldn’t even have to write this review, this needs to be fixed one way or another. Don’t waste your time or money going here.

Went in to place a large donut order a few days in advanced. I was told I didn’t need my receipt to pick up, just name and phone number. When I came in to pick up, they gave me all sorts of problems for not having my receipt. I had to argue with the employee before they gave me my order. There seems to be some miscommunication between employees/managers on the receipt issue.

I contacted Yum Yum to ask how much was a dozen glazed donuts the person that answers the 12.99; I sent my son to get a dozen glazed donuts and they charge in 17.99 divided into 12 that’s basically $1.50; that’s ridiculous. I remember when they were only $.60 apiece…. Will be buying my donuts from another place from now on….. I can understand it’s because of inflation, but more than twice as much as they used to be that’s not right. Ridiculous.

They're always empty at Prime Time hours there's nothing on the shelves yet they got three guys cooking in the back making donuts and usually two females in the front serving I don't understand what the deal is when they have the racks of donuts behind them and we asked if we can get one in the lady said that they were hot and that they were greasy?? it's such a sad customer service experience I can't stand their prices either but it's the only damn place open maybe that's the reason they get up on people I can't stand going all those sometimes I'm going to get a donut there most of the times it's my girl begging me to go even though she knows how expensive they are And how 80%of the time their display racks are empty Someone else got to open a new doughnut place in merced That actually fills their jelly doughnuts with more than a teaspoon of jelly We went to manleys doughnuts 2 and hell yea jelly filled it was a real not some teaspoon of filling and that's on all their field Donuts including the bare Apple bear claw it's such a scam I'm hate the place since I've moved to Merced again the hours is the only thing that makes you go get one if you're feeling like a snack at night other than that I hate the place I guess you could go and find out for yourself places a rip

As a former worker, I can tell you it is disgusting behind the counter. There is a cockroach infestation as of September 2022. Tools are never cleaned. The frying trays are placed on the gross tiled floor. Just filthy. The donuts can be made of scrap and are overpriced. Don't believe me? At El Rancho San Miguel they make them cheaper (98c/ea) and better (without scrap flour). It's not worth risking your health and wasting your money on gross overpriced donuts.

Back in the 80’s this place was great!! Somewhere along the line they lost it... I don’t live in Merced anymore but remembered how good they were and decided to treat my family. Do NOT buy donuts from them until they put FRESH donuts out at around 4am... They were absolutely disgusting!! NO ONE in my family would touch them at all!! I called to find out if there was a time that they pull them off the shelf, they do not, and they basically said come in after 4am next time, no compensation, we threw the a whole baker’s dozen away in the trash, waste of time and money.

Gross. I ordered the Forest Ham Bagel sandwich meal to-go. When I got to work, not even 3 minutes later, the bagel was hard as a rock. I couldn't eat it. I had to throw it away. When I called and told them, they guy over the phone told me it was my fault for leaving without checking. Really, I told him. Does everyone really check before they leave? They are selling old bagels and hoping no one says anything. I'm not going here again, for bad service and bad product. Negative one star rating.
