I really like this place. It’s low key, no hassle, very friendly service and great food. What else is there? Great place to spend some time watching people walk by while having a beer… or two.

Absolutely loved the food! I had the mayan fajitas and my boyfriend the tacos pastor. Very very good! The prices are a bit higher, but it's worth it.

First visit was for margaritas. We ordered two 'Grande' classic margs on the rocks, no salt. Seeing the huge glasses I was thinking they probably would not be very potent. I was wrong, they are strong. We ended up splitting a third margarita because we couldn't handle a second floor Margarita. The margaritas were so good we went back the following night and had more margs and dinner. The wife had her staple chicken tacos and a Caesar salad. I had two Gringa tacos and three arraqueso tacos. Tacos were loaded with meat and flavor. What more can you say about tacos? Yummie.

Had a lovely lunch here today, the food was delicious, presentation was on point and the staff were very friendly. They spoke English well, portions were large - however you do pay for what you received, so it’s definitely middle range priced. But a great treat to enjoy some classic Mexican food, recommend for sure!

Great service! Great food! May have to wait for the food on a Saturday night but worth the wait. Order drinks first take your time enjoy the ambiance on the street. Then order food soak up the vibe a great place to start your night.

We came in late one night and were the last customers. The boss said "yes, serve them" the staff was so nice from the lovely hostess to the professional waiter. The kitchen prepared one of their larger dishes we ordered. Presentation was perfect, food was delicious and brought out by 3 servers all at once in grand fashion. Prices were very good for both food and beverages. FYI this is THE hotspot on weekend nights for the action downtown.

He visto los comentarios de la propina yo sin saberlo dejé el 15% la vdd que me dieron muy buen servicio. El mesero me Dio hasta tips de donde ir la vdd que no tuve problema. La Comida la parrillada de pollo y sus salsas muy ricas. El lugar muy coqueto y muy mexicano. A mi en lo personal me brindaron un buen servicio

En realidad solo pasé por una cerveza, está en muy buena ubicación, los precios un poquito altos en comparación con otros lados, pero bien vale la pena. Diría que al menos tendrían que pasar por una cerveza, creo que los sábados cierran la calle que está en frente y sacas mesas la calle.

Enfrente de la plaza de la iglesia. Muy bien ambientado de forma divertida. Los tragos muy buenos, la comida excelente. El servicio de los camareros muy buena. Para pasar un rato alegre y 100% mexicano, vale la pena 😃😁

La sopa de lima no está buena estaba como salada... Lo que si está muy bien es el café maya es todo un show La parrillada mixta está pasable No es como lo fuerte de aquí la cochinita pero es aceptable

Llegamos sin reserva, había lugar, por lo que no tuvimos que esperar, aunque eramos 10, nos acomodaron y nos dijeron que el servicio era obligatorio por la fecha (era 25 de Diciembre), teniamos hambre asi que no cuestionamos, al final fue un 20% de propina anexa a la cuenta. Nos dieron un servicio regular, la comida regular, pero era el primer lugar al que llegábamos asi que no estuvo tan mal, platillos típicos y bebidas que comparandolos con otros lugares a los que fuimos dejaron que desear.

Buena comida, buen ambiente, los precios un poco elevados, algo despistados los meseros pero buena atención.

We were only here for drinks. The piña colada was ok, the mezcalito good. I honored that I could try mezcal before ordering the cocktail since I haven’t tried it before. I found them both expensive (125 and 155 pesos). The atmosphere was nice, in the evening they block the street for cars so it’s full of tables and chairs and life music.

Perfect spot just off the Plaza Principal. Get out of the sun, and collect your spirits, wits or whatever else might need gathering. Great menu to choose your favorite Mexican classics from, as well as an exhaustive drinks menu Open air seating to the street, gives it a nice laidback feel. Service is decent, and the food is tasty.

We stopped for drinks and a snack. The service was good and the decor sort of interesting. The menu had many choices, but we settled for the guacamole and it was fresh and plentiful.

No fue lo que esperaba, no es esta mal su comida, pero me esperaba un mejor sabor sobretodo por la ubicación. El precio me pareció demasiado alto. La margarita me pareció buena.

Primera y última vez Las posiciones son muy pequeñas para el precio. Ordene unas fajitas de pollo, suficiente para 2-3 tacos solamente, no incluye nada, frijoles, arroz, guacamole, nada. No tienen nada de sabor, pocos vegetales bajo la pechuga muy pequeña

La comida estuvo un poco como sobrecondimentada y como seca. He ido a otras sucursales de la parrilla que han estado 10 de 10. Supongo que fue porque era entre semana.

Upstairs is a dining room to stay out of the bar scene. In December 2024, we ordered poc chuc pork (Mex$295). Poc chuc is a typical Mayan dish of the Yucatán of pork prepared in citrus marinade and cooked over a grill and served with a side of rice, pickled onion, refried beans, and avocado. Our poc chuc was not served with rice on the side. We had to get used to the flavour of this dish and did not find refined or tasty. Service was good. La Parrila Colonial is a good bar, but we could not judge the quality of the food from a single dish.

Honestly the best part of the restaurant was the interior decor. The murals and other stuff feels authentic. You can even put on the huge sombreros to take some pics. The music is kinda loud though. The food is decent, but nothing special. For the prices the portions are ridiculous, so small. The lemon soup is interesting at least. The staff seemed friendly, but i disliked that they brought up the main course before the soups.

La comida de regular a buena y el esfuerzo de los meseros es también de reconocer, pero los encargados no tienen mucha intención de satisfacer a los clientes. Tardaron mucho tiempo en llevarnos la orden, pedimos chips/totopos mientras esperábamos y la cajera nos dijo que no había, 15 minutos más tarde (habiendo ya esperado 15 después de pedir nuestra orden), nos llevan un bowl con muchos chips/totopos, pero la cuenta no tardaron ni 30 segundos. No volvería a ir a este lugar.

Fui a comer a la parrilla porque fue un día en el que se fue la luz en Mérida y llovía muy fuerte Me llamó la atención que hubiera tanta gente entonces decidí dale una oportunidad Sin embargo me topé con el peor servicio que me han dado en cualquier lugar que he visitado. Se tardaron en tomar mi orden y y cuando me la toma el chico de la barra me atiende con una "carota" bien de malas, me porté muy cordial todo el tiempo pero este joven muy respetuoso Terminé de comer y decidí esperar a que pasará la lluvia ahí mismo en el lugar y este mismo señor de la barra me empezó a presionar para que pagara, se me hizo una falta de respeto y cuando pague y le di el 10% de propina me hizo de nuevo su carota, le pregunté si me podía quedar otro rato en el lugar ya que tenía temas que atender y estaba lloviendo sin embargo me dice que solo 10 minutos o en lo que me tomo un vaso de agua, cabe recalcar que no había nada de fila ni nada de gente por lo mismo de la lluvia. La verdad el peor lugar al que he visitado. El que me atendió fue el el señor de la barra Moreno y robusto para que tengan cuidado con él.

Yo tengo tiempo viniendo a este lugar y la gente es muy servicial y nunca he tenido tema con la propina, la doy con gusto. Sin embargo el que se me hace muy mala persona es el gerente, porque es prepotente con su personal, ni saluda y entra con cara de fuchi, en aquella ocasión le dije hola y ni me pelo, hasta que me dijeron que era el gerente 😂. Es mal ejemplo para el negocio, por eso deje 1 estrella. Un ron coca y 3 gotas de limón

This gringo got RIPPED OFF !! We went in for an afternoon snack and margaritas.When the bill came there was a 20% tip added already !!! and I was given an option to add ANOTHER TIP. Very disappointed the location was nice but nothing special ,the service was ok. It’s our first day in Merida and the worst experience so far.

Don't bother. Bartender ignored me and served the party of 6 that walked up after me, I guess she saw the potential for more money. Good thing there are other places to go.
