I didn't expect it, but I had the best chilaquiles in Mérida. Coffee, sourdough bread, and great music. You couldn't ask for more!
Ivan (eeeVAHN in Español) and his brother operate this little nook, and Ivan made me the best ham sandwich I've ever had, the Gourmet Manier. It comes with a nice salad of interesting greens. It's a tiny bit more expensive (by Mérida standards, meaning maybe one US dollar more), but that’s because the ingredients are top notch and they don’t hand cut the pomodoro tomatoes or the onions or the cucumbers until just before they are lovingly placed on your sandwich. The bread was fresh. There are good vegetarian options. Ivan speaks English well, but he’ll switch to Spanish if you want to practice. Honestly, some of the more touristy restaurants in Mérida are hit or miss, but this little place is family run every day and they take pride in their product. I’ll certainly be back. : )
Excellent food. The Bolognese sauce is delicious and perfectly al dente. The baguette, made with preferment, is wonderful 😋 fresh and golden brown, baked by the chef. The cold brew is refreshing. The atmosphere is pleasant, with nice music, and you can have long conversations while listening to the people at your table. The chef provides personalized attention, gladly explaining and guiding you. I'm so happy to have discovered this lovely little place.
We went for breakfast, the service was very good, their chilaquiles and coffee were delicious, they gave us a free oatmeal cookie, definitely a place to visit in Merida.

This lovely cafe is about two minutes from my house. It has a very relaxed and good atmosphere. I had an amazing, enormous chicken sandwich with tomato, lettuce...with a very interesting dressing and radish. Delicious. I took half home for ano ther meal. Ivan very friendly and interesting to talk to. I haven't met his brother yet, but I am sure I will. Highly recommend. In barrio Santiago about three blocks from the plaza! Great!
Excellent deli! Good price, they prepare everything to order, and the bread is sourdough.

Ivan and Manuel are very special. Two doors down from Sirena in the City. The salads and the pizzretas are excellent. Ivan and Manuel are a great addition to the neighborhood.

We so enjoyed Manier Cafe in our Santiago neighborhood! Ivan, the owner, is delightful and the smell of pastries in the oven delicious. We had a late lunch, splitting a delicious large Serrano ham & cheese on a baguette sandwich with veggies & a chipotle sauce along with a side salad of the freshest greens & a light dressing. The small neighborhood restaurant is immaculately clean & Ivan’s service & style wonderful! The aquas of Jamaica/hibiscus & naranja were so refreshing. And the prices SO good! Just wish that we had more time in our neighborhood to enjoy more of the great food at Manier Cafe. Mil gracias Ivan!💕🙏🏼

The food is amazing, scrambled eggs with fresh vegetables and homemade french bread. The French toast with coconut is amazing & the coffee is great. While this place is new to Merida it is definitely be a must-go-to cafe in the area for all. Can’t wait to see this place grow!
I loved the service, the food, the flavor—totally recommended for its quality and price. Plus, the music was great! The coffee and bread were perfect to start the day. 10 out of 10!
Wonderful small and casual cafe. The owners, brothers Ivan and Manuel, are super-friendly and are happy to accommodate special requests. They’re also bilingual (Spanish & English) Breakfast is delicious and so are the drinks ranging from smoothies to frappes and more. It’s located on the same block as our Airbnb so we went multiple times, including once just for a coffee. Highly recommend!

Everything was delicious and the staff were very friendly!
This is our go to place when we don’t feel like cooking. So close by and the food is fresh and tasty. We’ve sampled the pastas and pizzas. Plus, Ivan makes the BEST fresh salads and his vinaigrette is perfect. It’s like having your best friend prepare a meal for you. Manuel does the baking; so we must try some of his goodies with café on a morning visit.
Very nice place to share a coffee or lunch! I had delicious spaghetti with parmesan served with homemade garlic bread accompanied by a good peppermint lemonade. We had a great time, the vegan sandwich was also very good. Ivan also offers us chocolate and walnut cookies which are delicious! We had a great time. I recommend this place :)
