Avis sur La Pagoda Merone
Un ottimo ristorante cinese e pizzeria. Prezzi adeguati e Luna, la proprietaria, è gentilissima e sempre accogliente. Ottimo sia da asporto che per mangiare al ristorante. Ottime porzioni.
Posto accogliente, porzioni abbondanti, mangiare buono, prezzi buoni.....consigliato
molto buono. sia per quanto riguarda il menú italiano, sia per il menú pizza ed il menú orientale. non era prima volta che andassi prima del covid ma anche ora mi sono sempre trovato bene
Highly recommended! I go there often and the food is always delicious. The place could use some updating, but the food is superb, and the kindness of Luna and her family makes up for it. Excellent value for money.
Very family-friendly atmosphere...good food...fair prices...convenient parking
Very welcoming atmosphere and excellent cuisine. The food is really good. The only flaw is the very long wait times but the staff is very kind and courteous.
The biggest surprise of this trip to Lake Como wasn't the stunning scenery, but this farmhouse-style Chinese restaurant offering authentic home-style dishes from Qingtian, Zhejiang. If you book in advance, they even provide fresh poultry. Today we ordered braised lamb, sweet potato dumplings (authentic), soy sauce chicken wings, spicy crab, smashed cucumber, braised pork belly, and salted vegetable pancakes (absolutely amazing—fragrant, crispy, and generously filled!). The simplest things, the better they are made; that truly tests a chef's skill. The owner was very nice, the prices were reasonable, and we were extremely satisfied. I'd say this rural restaurant is better than 90% of other Chinese restaurants catering to Chinese people. The only downside is the slightly less-than-ideal ambiance; perhaps a more powerful air conditioner and some renovations would be helpful, as the storefront is quite inconspicuous. Finally, I wish the restaurant booming business and abundant wealth.
A very friendly family restaurant with affordable prices on the basic dishes, all the dishes are excellent, both Italian and Chinese. I affectionately call this place a "Chinese trattoria" because I've become a regular here, both for service and takeout.
Cute place! Luna is so friendly! Sometimes you can find Chinese vegetables straight from their garden! Delicious pizza. Parking in the courtyard is very convenient. Recommended for lunch, dinner, Italian, Chinese, and pizza! With this private garden surrounded by nature, you can eat right there with a view of the greenery.
Nice....
We were a little sceptical at first to be honest. But After we had our Pizzas to go, we even went the day after again. Pizzas were really good and we never waited long (10-15mins).
Il servizio è disponibile praticamente in ogni orario del pranzo e della cena, le portate sono molto ampie ed abbastanza buone, provando sia il menù italiano che quello cinese.
The dishes are plentiful and delicious. I recommend the spaghetti with veal and Thai style. I've been there too many times with friends and family. The dishes arrive pretty quickly, especially since it's never too crowded. The location isn't the best, but they recently renovated the interior. For €10, you get a meal that's quite filling. They also do takeout, and their hours are very long—they're practically always open. The place is simple, and I always enjoy dining at the pagoda.
In this restaurant in my opinion you can live a one of a kind experience: the food is fantastic and at a bargain price with large portions, the service on the other hand is almost absent in the welcome but good for the rest and the environment is a classic oriental, with the children of the owners running around it really transmits the soul of the Asian family.
Tough review. I can't say I had a bad experience. There's ample parking and an outdoor area... The food is on par with many other Chinese restaurants, both in quality and price. The atmosphere is a bit neglected and dated. Dinner was cold... with only a few tables occupied. However, the staff was very kind and attentive.
The La Pagoda Chinese restaurant and pizzeria in Merone is a modest establishment with little pretensions to elegance, suitable for families and groups looking to spend time together without overly stressing over style. The Chinese cuisine is standard, like all Chinese restaurants—flavors, portions, and service included. The pizza is good, but the ingredients used are nothing fancy or special. The prices are in line with other Chinese restaurants. Ample private parking and disabled access are available. Outdoor dining is also available, with a few tables outside.
The place is spacious and casual, but freshening up the walls wouldn't be a shame. The bathrooms are outside, full of leaks and lacking hygiene. At a round table, a group of diners, not fans of the Sirchia law, were shouting and smoking peacefully. I ordered two dishes; the portions were decidedly generous and the food was tasty, although instead of the sautéed spaghetti with vegetables, I received a gargantuan portion of Barilla tagliatelle, overcooked and with a few patches of tired vegetables. The final receipt never arrived; perhaps he was tired too.
We went in yesterday for lunch and after 20 seconds we left, sticky floor, dirty place and presentation on the edge of closing... I would say bad.
Unfortunately, we were bitterly disappointed! Two of us ordered a starter and a main course each. However, the main course came before the starter. Our complaints that we wanted the starter first were ignored. Cold pizza and spaghetti carbonara with curry... Curry definitely doesn't belong there! We were almost finished with the main course when the starter arrived... During the complaint, the incoming order over the phone was more important than satisfied customers. Restrooms very dirty... Conclusion: once and never again!!
If it weren't for the food which is edible... the truly macabre environment... never changed over the years... never improved... outside bathroom that barely fits... better to take away!!
I arrived at the restaurant via Google Maps. The signs outside said the menu was €10. I asked for the menu, as it wasn't open on Sundays, but the signs outside didn't say "Monday to Friday." The place was terribly cold, like being outdoors. I ordered separately, and they brought me very poor quality food: small spring rolls that seemed spicy, hard rice noodles, and chicken like Big Babol, which was actually frozen inside. I went to pay €1.50 more and asked for an explanation. They said "cover charge." There was a small problem with the menu they brought me, but it didn't say "cover charge" anywhere. I felt cheated. It's up to you to decide whether to go there.
