Avis sur The Drexel Miami Beach
Upscale restaurant connected to a Michelin rated hotel. It’s in the Art Deco area of South Beach. We saw a number of fine restaurants but we chose this one because it was quieter. Their menu advertised the branzino as whole, and it was before they cooked it. Regardless of the semantics it was absolutely delicious although slightly over spiced which hid the flavors of the delicious fish. We started with an amazing grilled octopus that was tender and flavorful. My wife had the hangar steak cooked to a perfect medium rare. We paid over $300 for our meal with drinks. It was worth it even if the service level didn’t quite match the exquisite meal. Everybody was polite and helpful just need a little training in how to serve high end dining.
We loved our dining experience with the Drexel. We celebrated our anniversary there and had the recommended ribeye and sides and it was amazing! We also had a few cocktail hours here and each time the staff were warm and welcoming. Martina was an amazing server and we enjoyed having her take care of us while we dined.
An exceptional dining experience in Miami Beach! The Drexel is a true gem — refined Mediterranean cuisine, beautifully presented dishes, and fresh, vibrant flavors in every bite. 🍋🍝✨ The service was outstanding from start to finish — attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. A very special compliment to the manager, whose excellent service and gracious attitude truly elevated our experience. She embodies hospitality at its finest — elegant, kind, and absolutely professional. 💛👏 The ambiance is both chic and relaxed, with a lovely atmosphere that makes every visit memorable. A perfect place for a romantic dinner or a stylish evening in Miami Beach. 🌴🍷
The atmosphere was amazing, the food made us remember our childhood, being at grandma’s home. It was delicious. We tried the Porchetta and it was out of this world. The service was superb and Bianca had the greatest knowledge and connected very well. Also wanted to mention a great welcoming by Sarah. We will definitely come back. Kudos for the chef Jarrod.
What a stunning find! I stayed at the Esme in Miami Beach and the use The Drexel for their breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service and atmosphere were top notch and the food delicious! I wanted to take home the entire bowl of home made granola served at breakfast 😋 A must see when you are staying in the area!
We ordered asparagus, chicken, and a pizza, and everything was very good. The food was cooked to perfection, with flavors that were both rich and satisfying. The atmosphere at Drexel is incredible. You are surrounded by little shiny lights that build a cozy ambiance, making the dining experience even more special. The interior seamlessly connects to the outside of Spanish Way, adding to the charm and uniqueness of the restaurant. Overall, we had an amazing time and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!
Beer selection is excellent! We tried the polenta, out of this world! Bar staff very friendly and helpful.
Loved it. As a prior Miami Beach resident and a native. I am someone that has seen the transformation and evolution of Espanola way since 1990. I loved the ambiance eating outdoors on the sidewalk and the food and menu was on point.
We stopped in for happy hour cocktails and snacks and they were excellent. Custom daiquiris and negronis tasted delicious and the food was perfect. Shout out to Alejandro behind the bar too. Great host.
This is where upscale meets relaxed and comfortable! We happened to be walking by The Drexel and noticed people enjoying their evening on the patio. It was busy and we managed to find a few seats at the bar. As we had dinner already, we ordered drinks and asked the bar tender what might be good for dessert. He recommended the chocolate soufflé. It was the most decadent and delightful dessert! It is plenty for two people to share. Our experience was so rich we decided to reserve a table for dinner the next evening. We hope you enjoy this South Beach treasure!
Beautiful and chic restaurant in the Española Way area of Miami Beach. Friendly service and delicious food. They also have a good size bar and offer indoor and outdoor seating options. Menu is simple but diverse. They also offer many cocktail varieties. Try the bean dip, fried cauliflower or grilled octopus. Also the whole chicken is enough to feed 3 people with lots of French fries! Lastly the chocolate mouse cake dessert is incredible.
I've selected this restaurant for our last night in Miami based on the pictures, menu, and vibe. And this was some of the absolute best experiences we ever had. The staff was super friendly and nice, the food was so fresh and perfectly spiced, the presentation was superb. Whatever we ordered, we ate every last bit. The prices are higher than your typical restaurant, but it's well worth it! We felt very welcomed. Thank you for a great experience! It's a must come back place!
Our first time here was fantastic! We sat at the bar and was just in time for their happy hour menu which was outstanding! Very nice atmosphere and vibe in this place. The beer on tap was ice cold and very refreshing and light. All the dishes we had was perfect. And the service was great! We will be back for sure!

They give us table without reservation but with a time frame, fair enough. Food was great. Especially zucchini pizza, so unusual but very, very tasty and refreshing bcs of lemon... Also orange wine with it, great match
Went there for Miami spice. I’m not a chicken guy, but there chicken was very good. The octopus was also very good. There server was very friendly aswell

Loved our experience at The Drexel! We arrived in South Beach for a night without a reservation and were looking for a dark and quiet place for dinner. The Drexel is just steps away from the tourist traps and well worth it. Seemed to be full of locals and visitors alike. Cocktails—excellent, service—well informed and excellent. Dinner—amazing: flat iron chicken will forever be in my dreams.
A really amazing find at the bottom of the mexican area. Quiet but still a good atmosphere. The food was outstanding but the wine waiter was off the charts recommending a Portuguese white that was off the charts. Totally book a visit 😄
Enjoying dinner at The Drexel on Española Way was such a beautiful experience. The food and service were impeccable, and the ambiance combined with their carefully curated wine list made the night feel truly special. You have to try: • The Radicchio from Veneto salad • The Padellino with whipped ricotta and truffle honey • The branzino • The olive oil mashed potatoes Promise you won’t regret it! And definitely save room for their salted pistachio ice cream, made in-house from scratch — it’s unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back! 🫶🏻
We are from Chicago and have been visiting the happy hour for years. Eziquiel has been the best bartender for the past two years. He is friendly and attentive, and the drinks are amazing!. It has become a definite spot we will hit every time we're in Miami!!!

I decided to come and enjoy a late night bite to eat, and of all days on Howls Eve. I chose the tuna carpaccio and the grilled octopus. However, I needed just a little bit more and my server recommended a couple of options of which I choose the mitake mushrooms. They were delightful! Highly recommend coming if you want to be behind the Española way action, enjoy the ambience and above all have a mouth watering experience
The food was just okay. Would I come back? Probably not—there are plenty of better options in South Beach. We started with the salad, which was fine, and the zucchini pizza. I wasn’t a fan of the mint on the pizza—it just didn’t work for me. For our main, we had the branzino, which was actually really good and the one dish I truly enjoyed. We also ordered the brussels sprouts on the side, but they were a bit too firm for my liking. I think they would have been better if they’d been boiled slightly before grilling. One thing to note: a 20% gratuity is automatically added to the bill, which is good to be aware of. Overall, the experience was just average and not something I’d return for.
I can't stress this enough, portions can be large, but the entrees lack any sides. It makes it not a desirable experience. Yes, it's Miami Beach, but $49 for four small lamb chops with no sides is a ridiculous profit margin. Same for the chicken, $30 with no sides. Food is fine, but I don't see how anyone walks away feeling like it is worth the price. When we asked for an option to buy a side, they pointed to full-price appetizers. The total bill for 1 app (Sausage), a glass of wine, and two entrees is $143 (inclusive of the mandatory 20% tip). Service was great though.

was for happy hour there. Coctail (Margarita) was good but not really cheap for happy hour (14 USD). Menue selection for Happy Hour prices were modest and didn't appeal to me (mostly some bread stuff). I ordered therefore from the Christmas specials which was a fish. The fish was good but only had polenta with a sauce as part of the meal. It was not possible to replace the polenta with vegetables or ordering a side salad. The portion was rather small for the price (46 USD). In the final bill they automatially included 20% service charge.
Really tricky and unwilling to budge with the waters. Specifically asked for tap water and was charged with bottles. 3 bottles $12 each. $36 on water they just kept filling our table up. Automatic gratuity of 20%. Annoying that they were unwilling to change it. Pizza pies very small portion. Was told they were genuine large slices.
DISAPPOINTING AND DISGRACEFUL. As a local on Miami Beach, I am used to exorbitant prices for average food. As a result, I have learned to select restaurants wisely. The Drexel on Espanola Way is located in the center of a very tourist street. I guess that how they can get away with it. Prices were high. Their signature cocktails were in the high $20s and $30s. Even worse, I had a piece of fish for over $40 that was the size of half of a deck of cards - 3''x3". It was way over salted. I left the restaurant hungry even though I paid well over $100 a person. What a pity!. I want restaurants on Miami Beach to succeed. I'm willing to pay a high price, but at a minimum, give me a decent sized portion of good food. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I will make sure my friends to do not dine there. You should not go there either.
