What a find! food is absolutely delicious, full of authentic Cuban flavor and generous portions. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. From the perfectly cooked ropa vieja to the strong, rich Cuban coffee, everything was spot on. It’s the kind of place locals love and visitors remember.
My friend's boss took us here, and I'm glad he did. This is a true gem on Calle Ocho in Little Havana. It combines the convenience of a food market and a cafeteria, plus has a Bakery and deli. I had a beef empanada made with puff pastry, and a fresh eclair. Not to mention, a fantastic selection of wines. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends. They have great service and friendly staff, and really reasonable prices
I absolutely loved this store! It had so many products I didn't recognize which is exactly why I visit grocery stores when I travel. I also asked the man who worked in the bakery/ meat market what an unfamiliar looking product was. He told me it was a Cuban sweet potato dessert and then he cut some off and encouraged me to try it, how wonderful is that?!
First time in decades I had a Cuban style breakfast. The Giajira omelet was fantastic. The Cuban bread came nice and hot with butter. Cafe con Leche brought memories of my Mom. A jewel 💖 in Little Havana. Laritza was friendly and great waitress. Made my Saturday.
Amazing Cuban food with crazily good price and enthusiastic service. Love it!
I’ve lived in Miami for decades. El Nuevo Siglo is my favorite Cuban restaurant in Little Havana. Food like your abuela (grandmother) made it. Reasonable prices, unpretentious, and a cool vibe. I invite my out of town foodie visitor friends here and they always dig it. Good neighborhood bodega/market too!
Enjoyed great Cappuccino there. Unique smokey flavour.
Great place if you need gifts for foodies or just the usual groceries. There is a small café bar and restaurant inside this bakery and grocery store. Recommend grabbing some of the Dulce de Leche in the dessert case in the back of the shop.
Great sit down little restaurant inside a supermarket. Best vaca frita in Miami in the heart of Little Havana. Owners are great always there to help and greet you.
The best food ever!!! all mi friends that I brought there love it!!! we go there to eat over and over.. i love it and suggest it to all .. fresh food and fast service !!
Love their traditional Latin dishes, if there on a Sunday order the “Ternilla completa” with Moro’s and sweet fried plantains.
AMAZING DELICIOUS CUBAN FOOD, marvelous service, great people, super customer service attitude.
Delicious authentic food. Very fresh. Big portions!!! Very affordable. I highly recommend. 😊
BEST Cuban food & I'm a local Cuban living in the neighborhood. Tourists WELCOME; sit at the counter. Eat like in abuela's (granny's) house! Ps the lemonade is OUTTA control.
Love this market! They have everything I need from Argentina. When I feel melancolic I go there en indulge in theys sweets and wines etc. The meat is A+
Love this little market/bakery/reataurant.. They have Argentinean products like yerba mate, alfajores, pastries. I go there a least every 2 weeks.
I love shopping at nuevo siglo's meat market ( at the back)
Delicious food at this cafeteria open kitchen vibes in the heart of Little Havana calle Ocho district 🤌🇨🇺🇺🇸
Great Cuban food, got the ropa vieja. Panadería had some really good stuff.
another favorite of mine best vaca frita i have ever had with congri rice and yuca, place is a small supermarket with a cafeteria on the side and a-lot of locals come here. servers can sometimes be slow and a little rude but as long as that food is served the way they been doing it for the past 10 yrs who cares, they make big steak sandwiches that my kids love and they are very consistent with flavoring, prices are amazing as well
My new go-to since La Caridad on 17th closed. Great old school daily specials cheap. See you in February!
This place is a cafeteria and a small supermarket combined. Great waitress, attentive, kind. The food was very good, the coffee with milk. Very friendly place, diverse.
Great staff. The best pineapple I ever bought. It was soooo good and no mold on the bottom. I bought a 25 lb bag of rice that lasted forever at a reasonable price. Bienvenido Miami!!!!! I love it here.
Looking for good Argentine food? This is the place! You got the amazing cooked meals there, desserts to go with it, and wines and other delicious things.
The best Argentinean Supermarket of all Miami-Dade county!!!!!! Great amazing prices, the sweetsin the back are done every morning and some during the day, but its sooo welk done that if you get the last ones in the end of the day, it taste AMAZING as well!!! The staff always have a smile and treat people with care! The cantina serves food all day and delicious!! Highly recommended to all!!!!!!!
Best meals we had during a full week in Miami!! And for only $10 each!
Only were serving breakfast. It was really good and came with café. Staff was very nice
This supermarket has an eating station that serves fully authentic Cuban delights. I had frikasee chicken, rice, plantains, and black beans. There's also a wide selection of Cuban coffee in the store for those caffeine aficionados.
Always a great choice of food, go early does fast!
For a tourist this was an amazing find. They have a small food counter that serves really awesome food. Great cubano sandwhich and cubano coffee and great prices. From the outside you wouldnt guess how great the food is. And their bakery has great desserts too.
Best Cuban sandwich in little Havana. A trip to Miami isn't complete without a visit here. Far from fancy, this is where the locals eat. This is the real deal.
I working in Miami doing hurricane recovery work and I wanted some authentic Cuban food. This place exceeded my expectations, I will definitely be eating there a few more times before leaving the area!!!
my favorite dish is the stuffed peppers. it comes with rice, beans and plantains. It's so good, I'm putting it on my lunch schedule every week. It really is so tasty.
Excellent food, service and clean. Local place good prices, tourist love it. Combination of supermarket, bakery and cafeteria. Home made Cuban food! Love it
Best cuban food on Calle ocho. It’s located in a mini market and has a bakery in the back - This is where you go if you want a real Miami experience. Maintenance workers and Brickell lawyers are the regulars
Where the locals eat. Complete hole in the wall you wouldn’t even know had a small cafe. Order the vaca frita, ropa vieja, or filet de pescado with fried plantains (maduros) & rice + beans with a freshly made lime aid to wash it down OR grab a beer outta the close by commercial fridge. Be sure to order a cortadito (Cuban espresso) or cafe con leche (Cuban cafe latte)after. Only spot I’ll eat Cuban food cause it’s exactly how abuelo (grandpa) used to make it. Simple, delicious, & authentic AF. Enjoy
Best kept Cuban food secret on Calle Ocho. Dinner specials run out fast so get in "early" (for Miami) and prepare for a well priced feast.
Small grocery shop with everthing you forget to buy from a major grocery store. Produce, meats dairy etc plus a dine in cafetería with great breakfast lunch and dinner. My son loves their Bistec empanizado.
I absolutely love this business. Not only is it a grocery store, but it is also an amazing restaurant inside, that was also serves the best food in town, for the best price in town. It's all handmade from scratch everyday. I eat there probably 3 to 4 days a week, easy ... 🤩
Produce is excellent. The items at this store that cannot be obtained at any other local establishment. They have very high quality products for argentina. Stop. The exception of the lady that works in the bakery are always helpful and willing to go the extra mile. To find an item for you if they don't have it on the shelf.
A very special supermarket with an excellent restaurant. The servers serve and prepare the food and it is tasty, abundant, and reasonable. Authentic Cuban cuisine. Across the street is a monument to Bay of Pigs battle attempting to overthrow the Castro government.
I went yesterday had one of the specials. Carne con papas score 8 Arroz i frijoles Colorado score 9 Yucca score 9 Tostones score 5 Overall I'll definitely go back.I haven't even mentioned the pastries in the back.
Fabulous grocery spot and low key restaurant. We chose 3 items from the daily special menu and enjoyed them all. Food freshly cooked and delicious. This was our favourite lunch in the whole of Florida 😋
Amazing food at a great price. The quality and taste of the food is authentic Cuban food like my mother would cook at home, excellent. Don't miss out, I've been going there for over 15 years and I keep coming back.
I was looking for a place to eat, and happened to notice that this grocery store also had an instore eating area, so I decided to give it a try. The tender beef pot was super. Also tried the steak on pot, which was not as good, but still not bad at all. Both dishes also included rice, yuca (plantains were sold out) and a bowl of black beans. The bill was $20 total, which was pretty incredible. I would definitely go back to sample some of the other dishes on the menu.
Stopped in the see if they had anything different. I found some wine I never seen back home and I found a delicious pastry that I didn't know what it was lol buy it looked so good i had to try it. but it was sooooo light and creamy and not to sweet. Oh I did try the empanadas too but I didn't like those at all. Too doughy for me.
Everyone is super nice! I dont do groceries here but every so often I'll have lunch with my Dad here and we'll order "tiernilla" which I believe is beef in sauce and its really really tender and flavorful accompanied with rice and beans and sweet plantains. Amazing! 💖
Great tasting Cuban meals at very affordable prices . You can also get fresh veggies, meats and bakery. Been going for many years. Highly recommend.
Best Cuban food so far!!!! I'm visiting in from Chicago where we have a few great Cuban restaurants but this by far is the best I've tasted so far. Portions are huge and the flavor exquisite. A must try for anyone visiting Miami.
This place was my favorite place in Little Havana! Arroz con pollo on Sunday was the one of the best dishes I ate while in Miami. The staff here is very friendly and I would recommend coming here if you are in the area.
Loved this place. Best meat and lo kinds of Latin products
Excellent service, the employees are extremely friendly and helpful, the food is the best I have had on Calle 8, good price and an excellent location, I will obviously return many times.
Awesome food! Huge portions!! Its inside of a supermarket but, so worth it.. Staff is awesome and they have a huge classy Argentine bakery!! Must go in! All the locals go there!! Its my 1 place to go when I go to CALLE 8.....
Staff is very friendly, food products are amazing, and the food served at the counter that they have is super good and at a relatively low price! Best place to buy ant Argentinian products as well, no other store I've come across has as a broad variety as this one.
It was really great to get a lunch or early dinner. Looks for the meals I the cafe with *, these include soup and rice and fried bananas or other extras. One pork rib or cod like that was enough for two adults, it cost less than 10$, plus it was really tasty and had an authentic local home cooked feeling.
Small convenience store that will get you veggies, meats, dairies, grains and more. Good supply considering the size of the place. There is a restaurant in there too! I wished I had had dinner there
Classic Cafetería style Love their breakfasts. Delucious non pretentious Cuban food at lunch and dinner. Servers are very nice and accommodating. Fricasé de pollo 👍🏻 Beef Milanesa w Fríes 👍🏻 Onion liver 👍🏻 Ropa vieja 👍🏻 Beef tongue 👍🏻
We came on a Sunday and got to order their daily special, we got a stew ribs dish (forgot the actual name), yellow rice and plátanos, it was the best dish of the day.
The food here is soo good. You can tell it's a local spot. It might take a minute to get served, but it's worth it.
Amazing experience—a food is exceptional and not very expensive. A real treasure!
OMG, living in Miami and did not know about this place. What a gem. Food is beyond divine, and price is incredibly cheap, huge portions and excellent service. Most foods are cooked on the spot. Great wine selection that you can purchase there and drink with your meal. I am going back tomorrow.
Verdadera joya.
Except for the bakery, I was favorable impressed with the clean and cohesive, groceries arranged properly and very friendly employees. Great breakfasts with properly cooked eggs and crispy but not super toasted bacon. The coffee milk was spotted on. Reasonable prices with some imported products from Spain. Heard about lunches from friends that described the food of being good. Worth to stop and check.
This is Calle Ocho’s closest restaurant to authentic Cuban food at solid prices. The fact that it’s situated inside a small supermarket just makes it even better, because you know all the ingredients are fresh. The open kitchen also allows you to watch them prepare your food. They have a couple high tops, a counter, and a couple tables alongside the store aisle. They have ready made dishes that are the specials of the day and also have dishes that they’ll make to order. Each day they have specials that run from $8-$20 that include rice, and two sides. I hade the pechuga de pollo which was made on the spot for $10 and was huge. Definitely had leftovers for the next day. The yuca al mojo was delicious. The service is a little hit or miss depending on the waitress you get and time of day. But overall they are pleasant.
Value, variety all served with quick service makes this a top choice in Little Havana. Supermarket that features grocery staples, bakery, and most importantly, a cafeteria /lunch counter. A excellent spot for ropa Vieja, ternilla(amazingly tender pot roast) with daily specials. Coffee, with Latin dessert and effecient table service packed with mostly locals tells you this is authentic cooking. Did I mention the no knife necessary Ternilla? Amazing!
I didn’t eat but looks traditional and was full of tourists
A lot if little store in Little Havana, (CALLE OCHO) 8TH STREET. All of them are a little to a lot over priced, but what can you expect for places with lots of tourist. People watching in the weekends is fun.
Great Argentinian market and one of the only places where you’ll be able to get Matambre.
Lots of latin offerings including pastries and meat cuts. Yerba Mate & Facturas & chorizo alfajores .. Has a cafe and lunch inside as well
Good place and attention The argentinian pastry is fabulous try the Pasta FlorA and the Postre Balcarcel The only problem they have is with shopping cards Sometimes i go with high expectations and turn back frustrated because could not shop no shoppong cards !!!
This is a great place for lunch, the cafeteria has a good menu, with excellent homemade food, the service is great, and the atmosphere is good. There is a Deli with great salads and if you need groceries you can do them as well. I do recommend it.
Best place to eat in calle Ocho. It has the taste of autenthity. Tasty. We had an unforgettable soup and took with us a bowl of chickpeas. Amazing. Best price too
Great latino products. For Argentinians they sell morcilla, chorizos, mollejas, chinchulines, vacio, entraña, matambre and other meats for the grill. They also sell Yerba mate, dulce de leche, cookies and more. And the prices are not bad at all!
It's an unusual mix of a supermarket and a local diner. I initially came here for lunch and ended up full, after a two-course dinner consisting of wholeheartedly generous portions at quite an affordable price. One fact that I, however, thoroughly disliked is the absurdity of tipping here. Instead of letting me choose if and how much I want to tip, the bill was automatically increased by a 20% markup, which is close to a ripoff. Sort it out.
Went on a morning walk and was recommended empanadas from El Nuevo Siglo. They are baked and have a wide variety of flavors. Empanadas were good. They are $3.25 each and were fresh and hot. This is in eighth Street in the tourist district, they have a market with Latin products, bakery, meat service and a sit down cafe. We took out.
This cafeteria/supermarket is one of my local favorites. Located in little Havana on 8th Street. Their food takes me back to my grandmothers kitchen. Best Cuban home cooking and inexpensive. Order a COMPLETA it includes (1 meat, rice, black beans and Plátanos maduros -sweet fried Bananas) add a Cuban coffee to your meal all under $8.00 dollars. Do get there before 11:30am or after 1pm to grab a table or stool at the counter. Seating is limited due to coronavirus but the service is on point. Plenty of friendly staff but you might need to practice your Spanish or use google translate! Either way fun and yum.
A very nice cozy restaurant with live music. You can get drinks or empanadas at the window. Inside they have a diverse menu though very few meat or animal protein free options. There are daily specials and the water is just the right kind of icy.
A little restaurant inside a grocery store. Breakfast was diner style and your typical eggs-choice of meat and toast and came with coffee. Not sure, but it seemed that the servers were also the cooks. Or maybe my server was just a cook that cooked for other servers? Haha Food came out in 10 mins. Eggs with cheese and ham was normal. But I don't recommend the French Toast, it just wasn't French toast. Service was okay. The workers worked. But didn't feel Neither friendly nor bad. Prices are okay compared to other restaurants nearby. Anyhow, it's a convenient place since it's literally near all the other spots.
The place was ok. They have a little restaurant inside. Be careful when buying some products, we bought turkey bacon that was 1 month expired, didn’t realize until we got home.
Very disappointed. I can't eat red meat, only two times in the past year, I have had these butchers recommend great suggestions for London Broil taste. I explained tonight I never get to eat red meat. I paid almost $22 for the recommendation for just me to eat. It didn't pick up any flavor and is too tough to even cut. So I know I can't eat any of it. I was treating myself to my maybe, once or twice, a yr red meet. The slab was extremely thin and tasted nothing like London Broil. The one bite I was able to cut through the toughness was not good. Guess my poodle will eat like a queen the next month or two. I can't eat this and the size was $22. I would have preferred Uber eats, and then wouldn't have had to do any work for serving only me. And would have gone with prime rib or filet. I guess I'll be very excited in a year the next time I treat myself to red meat. 0 stars today, 3 stars for past two recommendations*****
Though this restaurant store hybrid has its charm it’s truly not that great as a supermarket. As a restaurant it’s a 3 at best. Supermarket: Overpriced on everything except SOME produce is respectably priced. Yet, most of the produce is overflowing with rotten goods. The fridges, freezers, shelves and doors are all GROSS. Restaurant: The rotating menu is a nice touch. The food is usually good Cuban cooking, you can taste the love. Though, ordering on the phone is hard. Ordering in person is challenging as well, communication is not their forte. Staff is often stressed and distracted. The prices are fine.
In the cafeteria section the food is tasty and affordable. Staff are friendly and kind But the store is very dirty, especially below the fridge and freezer shelves, or around the water drainage,,, The building is old and it's fine. But I think they need to clean more if they want to continue the food buisness.
Absolutely terrible and unhelpful customer service. The completely unsympathetic sales clerk refused to let me pay with credit card, citing a ridiculous $10 minimum. No sign posted about it or anything. This is 2019, who even carries cash anymore. Not even an apology for it.
Very rude attendant!! I called 30 minutes prior to pick up breakfast for my family. The attendant at the kitchen said it wasn't ready because "We don't give priority to calls but to the customers in the store" I understand that, but the least I expect is to be given a timeframe, and/or receive an apology, or a courteous answer. I don't know her name, but she is a slender woman in her mid 30's.
Service is really bad lately. Came to buy food, nobody assisted me untill after 5 minutes of just standing there infront of around 5 employees, this one lady who then assisted me said I had to talk if I wanted to be assisted, I also asked for plantains in my 2 orders and I went home to find out they were missing. No sence of customer service whatsoever.
Absolute mess of a breakfast. I ordered scrambled eggs with ham to go and I made the mistake of not checking it there. I get home and where the eggs were cooked the waiter/cook did not clean the cooktop so with my eggs I had all the scraps and leftovers of what was cooked there before hand. Absolutely disgusting
So much expired\rotten food. Just last week they had milk for sale that expired 3 months ago.
I use to love this place , especially for breakfast but today was horrible.. hadn't been there in a while ..i got there around 10:30 am and I ordered breakfast.. eggs coffee ham with a side of toast with butter.. The lady said after 10 it was 4$ once she brings me the breakfast.. she brings it incomplete..just the eggs .some sad egg ..I asked her where is the ham.. her reply was ..oh you wanted the ham?.. I'm like yesss.. so she goes back to make me the ham..she comes back with one little slice of ham...still no bread.. when she brings the bread my eggs are basically cold..why couldn't she bring me the complete breakfast? When i go pay..I noticed 12$ she says the breakfast was 6$ 4 dollar's more after 10..but that's not what she told me when she took down my order.. horrible service especially overpriced breakfast for what I got and how I got it .
I’ve been living 2 blocks away from this store for 3 years now. When I first moved in this area I was excited about getting fresh produce and authentic Cuban style food so close to home. Unfortunately my experiences with this market have been some of the most unpleasant extremely uncomfortable ones. On numerous occasions I’ve attempted to order food from this place and everyone just stares at me, ignores me and tends to customers coming in after. I’m not sure why they’ve always treated me like this but I can’t help but assume it’s because of the color of my skin and the fact I’m American. I prey and hope they can do better at treating they’re different cultured guests.
Got there for breakfast at 10:40 and there is a $4.00 service charge after 10:30. I ordered my eggs scrambled and they came out sunny side up. The whole thing was just a rip off. I will never go back.
Apparently some of the employee's at the food counter here are sympathetic to Maduro, stating “pobresito Maduro” over and over! Wrong people to hire in Little Havana! I’ll never give my business to this place ever again!
I was in the neighborhood as I live on the southwest coast and ordered to go. The hot food was very good and the service was meh. However I ordered desserts from The bakery in the back. The empanadas were delicious and fresh however I bought 4 cakes of different types and they were all very old and disgusting. Spending $24. On cake slices and bringing them home to look forward to enjoying them at the end of a meal was all we had wanted but we couldn't even get the fork to cut through them. I called the next day but the owners Octavio wasn't there and all the employee could do was tell me to call back and offer an apology. There are better places than this market/ diner in Hileah which I recommend over this place. But locals will support this place for convenience I won't be however! Also the prices have increased substantially. The Ropa vieja is now $15.00. It comes with soup beans and rice and platinum or yucca. Of course they didn't give me the soup.
