Food and patties are delicious service is on point I was surprised by how friendly the staff is. Just pack your patience because its always packed but they move pretty fast.

Good hot Jamaican food for take out. They also serve hot soup. Hard dough bread, cakes and Jamaican bun also sold but the bun could be a little cheaper around Easter time. It's pretty popular so the lines are usually long. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.

Kimberly is the best employee this place could have ! Without her people wouldn’t wait in line so long . She always make sure the food is hot and good , me and my boyfriend have been coming here for over a year now ! Great food. Customer service varies depending on server. But it takes too long in line to order food that's already cooked. The line is always too long taking more than 30 minutes to get a plate of food.

The one one 27th ave across from walmart is great. Not fond of The one on flamingo near Pembroke rd. Tried ackee for first time. Food was extremely expensive and not very tasteful. My sister doesn't care for this location either.

Went for the first time. I didn't see a menu but the set up is like a cafeteria. You see the food and you tell someone what you want they fix it. I had brown stew chicken, peas and rice, cabbage, sweet plantains, Mac and cheese.. The food was really good and I was satisfied.

I haven't try their entrees yet. But their patties are to die for. I always get either the spicy or mild beef patties, they are always nice, flaky, fresh and delicious in the morning time. I usually buy like 6 to 8 patties about every 2 weeks for my family. I recommend this place to all.

I must say everything was delicious with the exception of the jerk, not that it was horrible, but it was just alright. The dinners come with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. All were very flavorful. We also ordered patties, spinach, spicy beef and mild beef they are really good.

I don’t know who toke the hands in that kitchen today,at golden krust on 7ave and 183 street Friday afternoon but let me tell you something who ever cooked that goat meat did a wonderful job,the meat was very tenderized,tasty,full of gravy was so dam good,a nice complete hearty meal hot and very fresh!!!! Okay, I gave 4 stars because I really love their food buffet. The patties are to die for. The buffet is not self served. It's always clean so the presentation is nice. There's one thing that can be corrected. Please find a new recipe for the macaroni and cheese. It was so pretty to the optical but it was so bland. Message to the cook. Do not be afraid to salt your noodles while boiling the pasta! Throw some heavy cream in it, evaporated milk, or regular milk if not all three. The cheese didn't even have flavor. It was tight/stiff. It can be baked and still have creamy texture. I literally came home, sautéed some onions, made a rue adding garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper & salt. I added a lil mozzarella, sharp cheddar, & harvati cheese. I took the macaroni and poured into rue. Once the cheese that was on there melted, I poured into a glass dish. Placed in oven for 25 minutes. After doctoring on it, I was able to save it and it was delicious. I've tried everything on the menu from breakfast, to lunch, and dinner. Always palate pleasing. This one dish is why I didn't give 5 stars. I know it can be corrected. I'm rooting for it.

Not all Golden Krust Restaurants are created equal. This is one of the smallest GK restaurants I've ever been to. I went during lunchtime a few weeks ago. It was standing room only and lines, other than the people behind me was almost nonexistent. I ordered the Jerk Pork, but I had to wait quite a while to get it because they had run out. At lunchtime, really? Anyways, the food was worth the wait and there's lots of parking.

Better then fast food, great lunch specials, hearty servings. Only issue is the wait time, the place is ALWAYS crowded, which says alot. But the wait is worth it, at least for a good meal.

Food are always fresh. Very small place, prepare to be squashed up like sardines. Ladies keep your purses closed and close to you. Owner should think about expanding restaurant. And last prepare to wait over 5 minutes and sometimes possible 10 minutes. Need more workers on the line to work.

I've been patronizing various locations for YEARS and the food is always FRESH, DELICIOUS and HOT. I am especially a fan of their freshly/daily baked beef patty and coco-bread!! It's the only place I'd recommend for patty because they taste like back home in the Caribbean. Takes me back..a great place for, breakfast, lunch or dinner. This particular location has a drive-thru as well.

Now Golden Krust is my spot. Now the food doesn't taste authentic Jamaican food but the brown stee chicken is really good. But the one thing that really bothers me is how cheap they are with the sweet plantains. My goodness why give only 1 or 2 very small plantains. Stop being cheap because plantains aren't expensive at all and start showing some love to your customers and give out an appropriate amount of plantains especially since are cut extremely small.

It's a shame that we have to travel from Augusta to Lithonia to get good Jamaican food 😯. The food is always worth the trip; however, the service can be better. The ladies often act like they are mad or don't like their job🙄. Their oxtails, jerk chicken & brown stew chicken are the best. The cabbage is tasty & prepared to perfection. I hope this review has been helpful & you enjoy your meal.

The spicy patties were good! I can’t lie about that. The wait is long even in the express line. Overall the service was okay, the guy cashier was pleasant and joked around a bit. If I was in the area I’ll go back.

I like the food, but there’s always a long line. If the people serving can move a little faster that would be extremely helpful as people have places to go and can’t afford to stand in line 20 min.

The food is quite delicious, especially their jerk pork. However the facility is way too small for the level of patron traffic, and the customer service is spotty. Some days, staff is quite friendly and helpful; other days, it's horrible. But over all, it's a great place to get a real, home-cooked meal.

I'm going to start off on a positive note. They have a wonderfully filling daily lunch special for $4.99. It includes rice, cabbage, plantains, curry or brown stew chicken and a can soda. The bun and cheese is also delicious. The store is cramped and tiny but it is kept clean. The food also tastes fresh. However, the brown stew chicken is mediocre at best. What they call gravy is just the thin oil the chicken was cooked in. I suggest you request the oxtail gravy on your brown stew chicken and rice. They will kindly oblige you. But my main complaint was what I experienced today. I wanted red pea/gungo peas soup but they didn't have any. So I reluctantly ordered the chicken soup. Once they packaged my soup they told me there was no chicken in the soup. What?! What kind of chicken soup has no chicken?! I took the soup anyway and was not given a discount for the lack of chicken. Hold on, but it gets worse. I took the food home and almost choked on the first spoon. It was ridiculously spicy and tasted like crab juice! Who is the cook?! I looooove spicy food but not my chickenless soup. I was not expecting that. And it was beyond spicy. It was inedible. I wasted my money purchasing that large soup. I should have just bought a bun & cheese. Their brown stew chicken gravy could also use some work. It needs to be thicker and seasoned properly.

I bought 2 Spicy beef and 2 Jerk patties, it was tasty but there was no meat in it, rather a seasoned flour paste. I was very disgruntled. At $2 plus dollars each, there should be some meat pieces instead flour paste. The other person had the same experience. Golden Krust do better! Especially with the beef patties that's made with minced beef that's not hard to do. I wont be going back.

The food is great but the customer service stinks! I would suggest sensitivity training for the front staff. There are a lot of Caribbean restaurants in the area to choose from but my family and I frequent your location but things have got to change! Hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears.

I can't ever get enough of the vegetarian patties. It's always hardy and delicious. My other favorite is the curry goat... yum.

Always a hit and miss with this location. Today the food taste like water. The lunch special price went up, no problem. However, they still give you two pieces of chicken. I'm a just go to Donna's. The beef pattie still good tho.

The fried chicken with the rice was good. The patties were tasty, but the soup wasn't all that. The goat head soup didn't have much flavor, and it was watery. We'll come back again, but not for the Goat Head soup.

I don't know what happened since I came back to Miami but I guess for true Jamaican food I have to go to fort lauderdale where most Jamacans live now.. It was lunch time and I ordered the jerk Chicken with Rice and peas. They told me the jerk chicken was in the back so I waited... I didn't mind paying the $15 but that Jerk chicken wasn't even hot and it wsn't even jerk.. I asked for a jerk sauce and they gave me hot sauce.. really? hot sauce with Jerk chicken.. The rice and peas were good not overcooked , but everything was touching on cold , not even a tad warm.. I must say I came to Golden Krust today because when I was coming here 20 years ago, the food scene was definitely different.. Back then the rice and peas served in restauants were cooked with coconut and you could smell the coconut aroma coming up from the plate.. My only reasoning is that because few Jamaicans live in the area anymore, the current population prefers a low salt meal which actually makes the food pretty much tasteless. My reason for this is because I have gone to other Jamaican restaurants with good names that have been around a long time and I still had the above experience, but I must say because another well known jamaican restaurant I went to the food was so greasy if I had to I would come back to Golden Krust. I love my island food, but as black people can we stop being so nasty towards each other? They don’t answer the phone because they don’t hire enough people. I came in to talk about no one answering the phone and this lady was very rude, bad attitude, you can tell she was having a bad day. I work across the street at a school. If I’m having a bad day I won’t be rude to the kids. Please my island people, let’s respect and love each other.

Whomever cooked the curry chicken today it is not that good! It has become hit or miss when it used to be in point all the time!

Visit this morning. Was very disappointed. They have such great tasting food but, almost always out of breakfast before 9am. I usually leave 4/5 stars when I visit.........

i bought some Chicken Soup today but it was full of "Chicken Feet", why is it you have to make Chicken soup with "feet', this is 2020 not 1910. What about the chicken leg or breast, you can cut up to verify a Profit for your business. i will no more spend $6. dollars for chicken-feet. please improve the service to the public, thanks.

Although the food is normally hot and fresh. The woman who dishes out the food literally pinches out and tries to spread out what she puts in your plate(little bit of food). But I have noticed on several different occasions for her Jamaican patrons she actually dishes out and loads their plates, they really get they're monies worth of food!

Poor customer service. I am baffled at how this place is run. Everytime i pass by or go in there. There us a line thru the door. It seems they are always short staffed or the staffing is somehow not efficient enough to get ppl in and out. At the peak of lunch hour there is only 1 cashier and 1 server!!! Like who is the manager of this place? As good as the food maybe, if this poor service continues i would not be surprised if it closes. I counted 10 people leaving just because of the wait. People have places to be and things to do. They dont have 1 hour to wait in what should be a get it n go food service. To the manager whoever you are. you need to take ownership and responsibility. Run this place like a well oiled business. Always ensure proper staffing and good quality food and service. The wait is way too long. For to go food service. Wait time averages about 20 to 30 mims!!!

The attitude in there is strong negative, this is a simple job, smile and greet the customers, this is a business you must be nice to the customers. The music is too loud in the morning while trying to purchase breakfast. The food is good sometimes on the salty side. In conclusion please train your staff to be more courteous to the customers.

Was standing in front of patty line for 10 minutes as employees walked past me and never greeted or addressed me. Lines always long and not much being done to move them. Always seems disorganized as it relates to the food flow.. they should figure a more efficient way to handle the lunch rush as people don't have a long time for lunch.. food good enough to draw the crowd so should also cater to the crowd

Great food here for a good amount of money. But CUSTOMER SERVICE which represents the company, is H O R R I B L E! They give you about 4 pieces of meat and the meat is small because it’s oxtails, curry goat and not like big pieces of meat like fried chicken you make at home. It’s only at this Golden Krust you get customer service like this, they neeed to fix their attitudes or just wipe out the whole staff.

I ordered two half of pans one Brown stew chicken and one curried when I ordered I asked how many people does it feeds she told me 18 to 20 people that great for $ 70.50 each pan. And if you look at the picture not even 15 pieces in pan. So the following day I called and spoke with the manager name Toni and she replied oh they must have used the wrong pan the pans look like they brought them from BJs wholesale club and she also told me that her associates should not have told me a half of pan feeds 18 to 20 people. Sounds to me lack of training I would have never paid $ 70.50 for 12 to 15 pieces of chicken. So I asked her to give me two more pans of chicken and some red peas and rice so that can make my guys that did not have any chicken so I can make my entire team happy. She replied oh I. Will let by Friday. My complete order 1 half pan of curried chicken and Browned stewed chicken half of pan of Red peas and rice white rice steamed cabbage total 311 dollars and change. The food was great just not enough. I will never order from again. And they need to change the price of there meatless soup change the price because it has no meat thanks Ms Raines

This first time trying a Florida location.Staff was very rude . Staff was not helpful at all. U have 2 other worker just standing /and talking to each other they are doing thing have customer standing in a long line. There no teamwork at this location. The food sucks at this location. Rice was Mushy , chicken size is small compared another Golden Krust place Where i when to in Georgia . Large size in Georgia is enough food for 2 people . The food here is a joke . They say they are fixing the problems but that is just hypocricy. You get the impression that the workers are so rude and unprofessional because they know their jobs are secure regardless. It doesnt matter what they do or what they say to their customers, they are still there, the will not be fired or disciplined, and you know that by their attitudes. The food gets more and more expensive while the mortions gets smaller and smaller. They have a way of stretching the gravy by adding whater to it, that kills the food. The need a whole new staff

Very disrespectful staff. She started yelling at my mother who is 62 yrs. for trying to take an order over the phone. My mother removed a portion of her mask to relay the message over the phone because the mask was muffling her voice and the Jamaican lady serving the food just lashed out at my mother. When y ou are in the field of customer service your #1 priority is to enforce company policy with the upmost respect and courtesy. That Jamacian food server was very very rude and disrespectful. We love Carribean food but the attitudes of some of these people at these restaurants not so much. We will be taking our business elsewhere to another Golden Krust.

This location Golden Krust Restaurant 18316 NW 7th Ave miami garden. there is a Jemacan cashier who charge the daily special the same as large meal. I think she does that base who tip and don't or if she just don't feel like the customer for same reason. The manager should be aware of this. I basically stop going to this location.

Plaintains was under cooked! Never go around lunch time. Or closing my rice at closing was hard! And poor customer service from cashier!!! Takes wrong order over the phone then it's no more food when you get there!

I ordered a large goat soup and the bleached out girl serving the food filled the cup with skin and fat. Literally more than half of the cup was filled with food that could not be eaten. I didn’t realize until I got home or else I would have returned to the store and got a refund. It’s a shame you have employees that would purposely do this to paying customers. I will not be returning.

Required mask even though it's not required in the state of Florida. In over yr its the first place that required it . I walked back out to by food somewhere else. I visited on Friday, November 10 at around 5:15pm. The cashier (Heavy set, Dark-skin Lady) was extremely rude interrupting me as I spoke to the young lady fixing my plate. I asked about only purchasing fried chicken wings, she stated “I needed to go next door to Snappers for that.” I purchased a large oxtail dinner and two beef patties, she threw my bag around the plastic barrier. She continuously sucked her teeth and had an attitude.The next morning, the food had to be thrown out. It was spoiled. The atmosphere in this establishment sucks and the food is a waste of money, I’ll wait the extra 15 minutes at Jamaican House or Dutch Pot.

Bad experience with the food on Saturday evening 7/16/22. I ordered Peas & Rice 0xtails and veggies take out. Once home the rice & peas was to salty oxtails was not soft as usually. I called and spoke to manager she did not accommodate me with anything just an apology. She stated she would speak to her chef after I spend $33.00 on a meal that I couldn’t eat. I was very disappointed thinking the manager would have accommodated me st another time . I was really looking forward to enjoying my dinner.

Hominy needs ALOT of work. Its watery and it separated within 2 hours of purchase. Gotta do better.

Large oxtail $30 here and its $25 on 27ave by the stadium. So 27th is cheaper and they taste better and give you more oxtails. Do not go here on 183st and 7 ave

The service here is terrible!!!! The food is great but the service is terrible, The staff is not welcoming at all.... I attended the restaurant on 10/26 Round 6:00 p.m. and the lady that was running the pastry section was so rude to me in my son. Description: lightskin, short curly hair with green/gray eyes. Her attitude in tone with my child was disgusting. Would not recommend if you're looking for good service.

I ordered the spicy wings it could’ve been better, but the wings were old if I had not made it to work, I would have took them back because look like the wings were at least two days old. They just covered up with some sauce very horrible service.

Then they didn’t add the sweet plantains (fried) like they normally do. When I inquired about it, I was told they only do it after 11am. But I’ve been here between 8-9am several times and received it. If the menu is changing that’s fine but to short customers of the amount of food and what is supposed to be in the meal is shady. Do better Golden Krust.

I went to order 4 plates and fried dumplings but the lady taking orders was very very unhelpful it was about 330 pm long day I know but her behavior was horrible I asked a few questions and I received no assistance. I did read bad reviews about this place but I always go by my own opinion I'll take my business elsewhere. I felt like I wasn't welcome there. I left with out placing a order wouldn't want someone like her fixing nothing for me

Not good customer service at all. But the worst part of all is I bought a plate of curry, chicken, peas, and rice tasted very good, but it was Hair in my food. I couldn’t finish the plate. I had to throw it away, spoiled my appetite. They need to wear hairnets and gloves, hairnets and gloves, please hair nets and gloves staff cooks please wear hair nets before you start preparing food. Wear aprons, wear gloves wear hairnets. The customer service is bad they don’t smile. They barely want to answer your questions when you’re new to the store it’s weird not a good environment. Very dissatisfied Customer.

I paid 24.00 for rubbery oxtails, rice, sweet banana plantain. Mac & cheese extra (as if). It's not worth it. I didn't enjoy the food. The food don't match your price. Must follow recipe.

The patties taste like trash. There was hardly any meat in them and the patty ( specifically the curry patty) tasted like plain flour and salt. When I asked for a refund, the cashier took so long to find my order that I just left. Two disgusting patties and a drink cost me $11 dollars. Definitely not worth the money.
