We kept seeing double luck featured in Miami food blogs/socials, and when I saw its from the same people behind TamTam I had to try it— definitely the best Chinese food I’ve had down here in Miami. Heavy, as most Chinese food is, but if you’re in the mood for it, it’s excellent. I love that, even though all the food is heavy, it feels like it’s much better quality than any other Chinese restaurant you will try. The orange chicken is bell & Evans, breast meat only. The other meats are also from pretty decent farms. Overall i can’t see myself going here frequently simply because the food is quite heavy and it’s not soemthing I’d get unless I were craving it but this for sure is my favorite Chinese spot in Miami if anyone were to ask me. Food ratings — Appetizer ribs: better than most places. He rates them a 7.5/10 Duck was 8.5/10 Chicken was 9/10 The fish for me was 7/10, not as good as tam tam but still good. (Not that they’re the same style of cuisine but the size and vibe is similar). Quite spicy We also got the veggie fried rice bc we had to at a Chinese restaurant and it was unique bc it was very gingery but I prob wouldn’t get it again unless I was craving fried rice 5 star service— super attentive. It is not a super Luxe place, like you can dress up, but you could also go in a T-shirt and sweatpants… Which I love about a place, I don’t like how pretentious a lot of restaurants here in Miami have become We spent close to $150 per person without alcohol, but that’s literally because we got enough food for six people even though we were only two. We just wanted to try it all ha ha. You could easily split just the duck or just the fish and an appetizer or side and be satiated here.
I had such an amazing experience at Double Luck! Everything we ordered was incredible. The Hennessy orange chicken was so flavorful and delicious. Also, the crab fried rice was great, and loaded with crab, which I loved!! The crab rangoons, hands down the BEST I’ve ever had! Perfectly crispy on the outside and so creamy and packed inside. If you’re looking for amazing Chinese food with great service, this is the restaurant for you! Everyone was so attentive and made us feel so welcomed.
Really enjoyed a long-awaited dinner after hearing great things; Double Luck did not disappoint. From the menu options, portion sizes, attentive staff and decor; this place is a must-go! Everything we tried was amazing, highly recommend ordering a few of everything and sharing to really get the full experience.
One of the best experiences i've had eating at a restaurant in miami. It genuinely felt like they wanted us there and we're incredibly patient, animated, professional and at the same time very casual while delivering a high class and quality meal. Highly recommend you try the Duck and the fried rice.
What a great find! I came here for dinner on a Wednesday night. We sat at the bar. The bartender, Stefani, was amazing! So professional, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive… you couldn’t ask for a better wait person! The ambiance is great. They were playing popular songs from the 80’s, but all sung in Cantonese! Stefani recommended their frozen drinks. They were delicious!!! We especially enjoyed the passion fruit and gin one. I also had nice Sauvignon blanc. We were given some yummy fried wonton chips to snack on while waited for our dinner. We ordered the crab Rangoon as an appetizer. It comes with 4 large Rangoon. They were delicious. The biggest Rangoon I’ve ever had. For dinner I ordered the Hennessy Orange Chicken, since I saw it so highly recommended in reviews. It did not disappoint! The chicken was cooked to perfection! Not too much breading, as a lot of places do to their fried chicken. And the flavors were wonderful. My niece ordered the spicy Szechuan beef noodles. It definitely has a kick to it. The beef was super tender! The sauce was really tasty. We really enjoyed everything! Afterwards we tried the rice pudding. I’m not usually a fan of rice pudding, but this was SO yummy! It had a crispy sesame seed and rice crisps on top. SO GOOD! The portions are pretty big, so we had lots of leftovers. Prices are also very reasonable. Even the restrooms are cool! They have Chinese vinyl records on the walls and in one of them there’s a small TV playing Chinese movies. I will definitely be back soon with my family and friends!
Absolutely amazing!! Our food was so flavorful, the service was outstanding(very attentive), the ambiance was great. They thought about every detail and exceeded our expectations. 10/10!!
A Neighborhood Gem with an Upscale Twist This friendly neighborhood Chinese restaurant in Upper Eastside in Miami brings a refined touch to familiar favorites. It’s easily accessible with free on-site parking, and we were warmly welcomed by the hostess even without a reservation. The cozy interior adds to the inviting atmosphere, and the service was genuinely friendly throughout. Portions are generous — especially the XXL Chinese Schnitzel, which is perfect for sharing between 2–3 people and a great choice if you’re looking for a non-spicy option. I really appreciated the abundance of fresh, flavorful vegetables and the well-balanced sauces in every dish. One suggestion: it would be great to have a noodle dish on the menu that’s suitable for guests who prefer milder flavors. All in all, I’d definitely come back — especially with a group of 8–10 to try and share a variety of dishes. A great spot for casual gatherings with quality food!
Went for my wife’s dinner and the place was awesome! The service was fantastic and perfect! Super attentive to everything. The food was really good and definitely a must try if you want a different take on Chinese food. We had the Hennessy Orange chicken which was a show of its own and the chicken itself was super good as the chicken was lightly breaded and juicy. We also had the Spicy Noodles which were also a hit! The last dish we ordered was the Chinese Schnitzel but beware it’s freaking huge!!! The flavors were so good and we had a real blast. Also the atmosphere was super chic and cool and if you can check out the bathroom it’s an art display itself!
Very unpretentious cool spot! Super friendly staff, great food and portions are very generous. I’m definitely coming back! Two dishes I tried that I loved were the cold mushrooms and the sweet and sour short ribs.
UPDATE: DOUBLE LUCK CHINESE REVIEW As we entered The New Schnitzel House, we were graciously welcomed by Helen, who seated us and answered our many questions about the most popular German foods there. We were so excited to try the menu. We had never been to the previous Schnitzel restaurant, so this was going to be a new experience for us. We were surprised at how large the restaurant was and how well they integrated the outdoor dining with indoor dining. There are also 2 bars, indoors and outdoors. This is really a cool place! The ambiance has a very nice 80s pop art feel to it. Casual yet chic. We loved it. The tables were spaced nicely and the chairs were very comfortable. The lighting was dim but not dark. I felt relaxed and peaceful. The color scheme chosen for the furniture, artwork, and woodwork was very well done. Our server was the well-versed Antenor, who took very good care of us! His timing was impeccable with the dishes as well as keeping the water glasses full. His food recommendations were very good as well. For our apppetizers, we ordered the delicious Pretzel with the various mustards, the Shrooms with Fennel, and the Spetzel, which was a German mac n cheese version. My daughter ordered the Chicken Schnitzel, and I ordered the Veal Schnitzel for our main entree. Both were tender and well prepared. We ordered the mashed potatoes with our main entree. For our drinks, I ordered a glass of Carignan, la Patience, and Larisa tried the Wild Turkey bourbon old-fashioned. Everything tasted very good! The New Schnitzel gives generous portions, so we had to ask for 3 doggie boxes to take home some of the food. We left room for dessert, and thank goodness that we did, because I absolutely loved the German cheesecake!! It is one of the best that I have ever tasted! Larisa got the Apple Crumble, and she enjoyed that! We had a fabulous pre-New Year's dinner here and will definitely go back. There is ample free parking in the back, so no worries there. There is wheelchair accessibility also. Reservations are advised with Saturday evenings being super busy!
Incredibly delicious, some of the best Chinese around!! The crab rangoons are a can’t miss! Also dreaming about the crab fried rice when I can’t have it. Despite all the great selects we made, it didn’t feel like we tried enough - I would love to go back and try it all really. The vibe is immaculate, making me feel like I’m in Freaky Friday.

Great Atmosphere, loved the special drink (wine), and the egg plants! excellent service and music.
It was very beautiful and fancy the service was amazing everyone was very friendly and ready to help you. The schnitzel was very good the lemon on top made it even better, was huge and flavorful very lowkey spot should check out (date approved).
Loved this place! We had the pretzel, bratwurst, chicken schnitzel, spatzel, wedge salad, and the apple dessert. My god, everything was absolutely delicious. The dessert was hands down the best dessert i’ve ever had. Shawn was an awesome waiter and very attentive and personable. Highly recommend!
Good food good wines good people working there ! Yep 👍🏻 🍜🥢🇨🇳❤️
Augie surprised me and took me out for an early birthday dinner at the NEW SCHNITZEL HOUSE RESTAURANT on 79th Street. The drinks were sublime, the food magnificent and the service was spot on. Our dear friend and brother Josue Garcia is the manager there and we were so well looked after !
My second (third maybe?) time coming here and was happy that the quality of both the service and food have been kept up at such a high level. It'd been a while since I last went, and sometimes places will drop off after the initial wave from opening but not here. Scott the bar manager was especially gracious and on top of things, but everyone I interacted with was on point.
Best German food I’ve had including multiple trips to Germany. Felt like a miami vice back room deal mixed with great German cuisine. Made no sense and perfect sense at the same time. Have to see it to believe it.
Great food, great service. The restuarant is so new it doesn’t even have a sign yet. It used to be the Schnitzel house which closed down after 33 years. The setting is that of a 1970s Chinese restaurant on Mott St, NYC. The background music is some of the worst I’ve ever heard. But the food is the best Chinese in Miami. The price is so reasonable that I thought I was outside of Miami city limits.
Came here on a week night and it was packed! The orange chicken was crispy, tangy, and full of flavor, and the crab fried rice was the best I’ve ever had. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. I really hope this pop-up becomes a permanent spot—it’s too good to be temporary!
Had a truly wonderful dinner at Double Luck, the Chinese pop-up restaurant in the former Schnitzel House space. The staff were all friendly and accommodating despite us showing up late for our reservation (even by Miami standards) after a mixup with the babysitter. We tried the mushrooms, crab rangoon, and eggplant for starters, all of which were excellent. The crab rangoons are actual snow crab legs deshelled, breaded and fried. The cloud ear mushrooms were surprisingly my favorite with a tangy vinegar dressing and excellent crunch. For our mains we got the green tea duck and spicy beef noodles. Both were excellent, but the duck was incredible. Tender with subtly spiced rub. Also, the accompanying sauces and warm buns were perfect. We were too full for dessert so just opted for liquid dessert and finished off a wonderful Hungarian white wine suggested by the waitress. Not really sure how this spot got anything but great reviews, though perhaps it being a pop-up they're still finding their stride with consistency. Either way, I sincerely hope they make it as our experience was nothing but great.
Unbelievable food ambiance and overall presentation and experience we loved it! Great service as well! The chef went above and beyond 🤤 can’t wait to come back!
I could not recommend the new schnitzel house enough! Not only was the food absolutely amazing (if you go for brunch make sure to get the biscuits and the schnitzel and waffles) but the staff are truly what makes this place so special. We had Scott as our server and he was an absolute delight, and Adam the owner personally made sure we had a truly unforgettable and fun experience. If you are in south Florida it’s a restaurant you can’t miss!
We had an amazing dining experience. The food was delicious, definitely recommend the pretzel. The schnitzel sandwich and French onion burger were incredible. The cheesy grits are a must. The cocktails and selection of German wines were great! The service was excellent. We can’t wait to dine again.
Great food with some delicious and filling vegan options including the Mapo Tofu, eggplant appetizer, seasonal greens, wood ear mushrooms, and the absolute best rice pudding. We look forward to coming back and having another meal soon.
Really great food. Perfect for sharing with a group of friends. Vibe and music are great. I love the sumo sake in the cups, usually not a sake kind of guy.
Everything was amazing. The eggplant and Hennessy chicken were next level. Loved the vibe, the service was super friendly, and the whole place just felt great. 100% coming back and totally recommend it!
Miami has long been known for its vibrant culinary scene, but every so often, a restaurant comes along that doesn’t just join the conversation—it redefines it. Double Luck, the city’s latest gastronomic gem, is one such place. Equal parts whimsical and refined, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable journey through modern Asian cuisine with bold creativity and irresistible charm. The name Double Luck isn’t just clever branding—it feels like a promise. And from the moment you walk in, that promise is kept. The interior strikes a perfect balance between high-style and playfulness: think deep jade tones, gold accents, lantern-lit ambiance, and subtle nods to East Asian artistry. It’s luxurious without being over-the-top, cool without trying too hard. But the real magic is on the plate. Executive Chef Adrian Ochoa orchestrates a symphony of flavor that’s both deeply rooted in tradition and fearlessly innovative. The Szechuan peppercorn short ribs? Fall-off-the-bone perfection with just the right hit of heat and umami. The branzino, the best i’ve eaten. Service is seamless—warm, knowledgeable, and stylishly understated. Whether you’re seated at the lively bar or tucked into a velvet booth, you’ll feel both pampered and at ease. Double Luck isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of flavor, fortune, and the unexpected joy of discovering something truly special. A night here feels like being exactly where you’re supposed to be. Verdict: 11/10. Sensational food, stunning space, and serious wow-factor. Miami just hit the jackpot.
My family went for Sunday Brunch. Started with their perfect pretzel, then their appetizer spread which had a beautifully smoked salmon and crispy latkes. Followed by a chicken schnitzel that was a top 3 for us. Lastly we completed the meal with a sweet potato pancake and French onion burger. We paired that all with a German sav blanc. We were really impressed with the quality of the food. So comforting but definitely executed well. Prices are fair and we left absolutely stuffed. Perfect spot for brunch. Decor was cool and service was attentive and friendly. They also had some nice music playing. We left wondering when we’ll return.
Tried this place a second time with the new chef. It was great. We shared everything. The chicken schnitzel was amazing. The short rib goulash was so good. The shrimp was very fresh. Such a great improvement from the beginning.
My partner and I’s favorite restaurant at the moment. Pricey, but you pay for consistently great service and food. Have gotten the chicken schnitzel the three times I’ve gone, but their brats and appetizers (particularly the pretzels) are superb. A bit out of the way since it’s by Little River, but worth the trip if you’re looking for a nice date spot.
Omg the brunch at Schnitzel House is crazy. The steak and eggs cooked perfectly. The latkes soooo flavorful. The breakfast salad, so fresh. The pancakes WOOOOOF! And sitting out on the back deck is so lovely and chill. Our server Christian was attentive and knowledgeable. 💗🙏🏼 can’t wait to come back and try the biscuits.
Wonderful food and the prices are surprisingly quite reasonable for superior dishes with great taste
Great, hip new spot with friendly staff and creative vibe. While officially a fusion cuisine, there is a great love for German customs and ingredients in the menu, as the sausages, pretzel, schnitzel, spatzle, and pork knuckle serve as tributes to German classics but with slight modern spins. The homemade mustards and beer cheese were delicious. Great for a date spot or bar hopping spot. Highly recommend
Great restaurant for a good classic schnitzel meal! They also have great appetizers like the German sausage with fries (salchipapa) or latkes. Excellent cocktail bar. There’s indoor and outdoor seating areas and an overall good vibe. Parking in the back of the building is plentiful and free. Try making a reservation ahead for the weekends because it can get busy.
I’ve been here twice and had a consistently amazing experience - the menu is creative and delicious, drinks are on point, the staff is happy and having fun-and our servers have been so great both times. Easily one of my top 5 restaurant picks in Miami
Loved The New Schnitzel House! What a wonder addition to the South Florida food scene. It’s modern yet traditional German food. It’s fantastic! What amazing service, our server Lazer was the best! I just came back from Vienna which is mostly German food and known for schnitzel and I came here when I came back and missed schnitzel especially with lingonberry. The latkes, the veal schnitzel, short rib goulash, brat plate, cucumber salad, cheesecake, and apple crumble was the perfect dinner for our group! The wine and beer selection really paired fantastic with the food, seamless service from Lazer, just amazing service with such a cool vibe, see you soon! Also parking is free in the back, it’s rare you find free parking anymore in Miami.
It's really hard to find a great German spot in South Florida and I will have to say this is my favorite to date. It's small and can be easy to miss and I get it because it has happened to me before. I found out about the New Schnitzel House from a friend and was so happy to check it out. The vibe and decor inside is really chill and comfortable. The beers are excellent, the appetizers such as the pickle plate is really good and was recommended by the server. The main headline though is the chicken schnitzel, if you're coming out here, you're trying it. And let me tell you, it was a mouth-watering experience. Would do it again just for that!
Food was good, vibe was great, music was on point. A stellar time was had by all. Kinda gives me disco diner vibes but the bathroom is all Elvis. They had a vegan schnitzel which was just freaking awesome. The natural wine was excellent and well priced. Not much negative to say. Service was super awesome and casual. Servers were stylish. The water pitchers were old school coffee pots. This place is a gem! 💎
A new neighborhood staple. Best schnitzel in miami brought to you by the kindest, most passionate people in the business. Shout out Christian - it was such a pleasure to have you taking care of us. Great appetizers (must go to happy hour), entrees, dessert & DJ-STEVE. Will come back again and again and again. Also fire martinis (ask for Switch or Christian)!
Absolutely delicious meal. You can tell the food is fresh and made to order. We tried their house made bratwurst, pretzel, and of course the piping hot and crispy chicken schnitzel. Our server, Nick was delightful and even threw in a free dessert for my fiancés birthday. We will definitely be going back!
The noodles were amazing. Very fun atmosphere to have a meal in, well put together concept. All the servers were so friendly and attentive, I was absolutely impressed by the attention to detail. There is a parking lot in the rear so it wasn't a pain to come eat here like so many places are due to parking.
I love German food and there are not a lot of places in Miami that serve this type of food so my expectations were high and it exceeded my expectations. It just opened on 79th and if you drive by too fast you'll miss it. There is parking in the back also and a cute patio which is a plus. The staff and the service AND the food were second to none. When we walked in we met Lazer who was super accommodating for us being a 2 person table that wanted to sit side by side (don't judge!). Our server Antenor had extensive knowledge of both food and beverages and was attentive to detail down to crumbing our table and coursing out our meal perfectly! The rest of the staff was also very attentive walking by with water exactly when I needed it. We started with the pretzel and it was the best I've ever had. It was crunchy with plenty of salt and soft on the inside. The beer cheese and the mustard paired with it made it even better. The chicken schnitzel lived up to the hype the breading was amazing and the lemon really brought out the flavor. I filled up with the pretzel but cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. I hope this place is here to stay!
The food was soooo good! The schnitzel was perfectly crispy and the combination of the gravy and lemony mash was impeccable. The pickled plate was unlike anything I’d had before! You can’t leave without having the Apple turnover because it’s everything you want from a dessert. All in all I left happy and sleepy, can’t wait to come back.
I was driving to North Bay Village and was stuck in traffic for 45 minutes because the bridge did not go down. It just so happen I looked across the street on my drivers side and saw Schnitzel House, it did not look anything inviting or exciting so I did a review search and saw it had more good reviews than bad. I would like to address the two bad reviews, one woman complained about the food not having enough salt? You should carry around a salt shaker in your handbag you know nothing about how food should taste if you’re covering it up with salt. Other bad review had complaint about pork schnitzel is very expensive and they are changing south beach prices. The prices on their menu are with reason and fair. Now back to my experience when my girlfriend and myself walked in the place was almost full for monday night. We were greeted and the woman asked if we had reservations we looked in amazement this place must be really good to ask if we had reservations, we said no and she managed to find us a table. The vibe of the restaurant is small with a bar and has art deco painting on the walls with 80's new wave music being played. Since being from New York and eating German food there and also in Germany, It was not your typical German ethnic feel, and we liked it and was willing to stay and give this place a chance. Few things they should consider and first serving on the table is pumpernickel bread with Obatzda cheese spread and cucumbers thin sliced pickles which is served in German restaurants. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it came with mash potatoes and brown gravy, it should have come with side of red cabbage but it did not, It was crunchy and delicious now for little criticism German style boneless chicken schnitzel should be thin it was more on the thick side but still good. My girlfriend ordered the pork schnitzel she loved it and thought everything was great. The drinks were also good a bit overpriced I ordered Rubber Neck and Girlfriend had Carlos Von Schmidt. Desert we ordered Apple Turnover, what happen to the Apple Strudel? Did not have a chance to try the beers but looking at other tables it looked great to me and I overheard others saying it was gross. My review I give them score of from 1-10 a 8. Service was fast and food was hot and it was delicious this is main thing for us. Because the place was not your typical ethnic with servers dressed for Octoberfest made for a new experience in dining out. You won't go wrong in having a nice dinner and I'LL BE BACK! and not with my salt shaker. Schnitzel post a clear menu online.
Wow! This is my new fave spot for dinner! First, the staff are absolutely incredible. The hosts were so fun and nice. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The staff here really shine and just made the whole experience special. The food was phenomenal as well. It’s German with a twist! Highly recommend the crispy cabbage and the chicken schnitzel! We ate every bite. The vibes are also immaculate. A really well done space inside with comfortable seating, nice bar and a DJ later in the evening. It was raining when we went but the outdoor space looked really cute too. Well priced too - we spent $120 for three people to share two apps, a main, a side and 4 cocktails! 10/10 recommend this spot!
This place was amazing. Service 10/10 would recommend. Our server, Nicky, made the best recommendations for food and was just the absolute best. Everyone in the staff was great. The food was amazing, and we got to thank our chef personally. The chicken schnitzel was 🔥. Drinks and beer were perfect. Will be coming back for brunch!
Dinner was GREAT. This place is really cool for like a nice dinner date solo or with friends. The menu isn’t big but the dishes were all amazing honestly. We started with the Pretzel, Brat Plat, and The Mushrooms. DON’T SLEEP ON THE SHROOMS. Then we shared a Pork Schnitzel (UNREAL) and the Braised Pork (Pictured). The Apple Turnover was SICKKK.
Great place, be sure to call for a reservation over online booking. We sat outside since the online booking didn’t ask us where to sit. It had been raining so it was a little empty but by the time we left, it was pretty packed. Food was delicious, very impressed with the herring cake! Would definitely go back!
Double luck is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Chinese flavors in a warm, welcoming setting. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of sizzling garlic, fresh herbs and soy greets you, and the staff ensures you feel right at home. The menu offers an excellent balance between traditional dishes and modern interpretations. Their braised short rib strikes the perfect harmony of tenderness and flavor , while the double cooked pork belly delivers a bold kick of peppercorns that lingers pleasantly. For something comforting, the the tempura eggplant is lightly batters and served in a fish fragrant sauce, this was excellent. Almost forgot! The crab Rangoon is out of this world as well. Portions are generous, making it easy to share with friends and family. The staff is attentive, without being intrusive, and service is impressively quick even during peak hours. The restaurant is clean, tastefully decorated, and maintains a relaxed, casual atmosphere and the chef is also the owner, so you must plan your next visit today and maybe you'll get lucky at Double luck! PS. So proud of you both Chef BP and Liz One small note: if you’re sensitive to spice, be sure to ask for a milder version, as several dishes lean toward authentic heat levels.
Loved the brunch here - you can taste the homemade quality in everything. Ambiance was excellent. We sat out on the patio and it was cutely decorated with the perfect vibes on the house music. Our waiter Scott was super attentive and friendly. And the owner Adam even came out and spoke with us for a while. Highly recommend to anyone looking for good food and good vibes!!
We went here for a late dinner. Mina was our server and she was amazing, as was all the staff (while she was our server, it seemed like everyone pitches in). I have been to some really high end restaurants in Miami, and this had to be the best service I've ever encountered. The food was excellent. The Black Forest Cake (not on the menu, but came recommended) is a delectable take on a German classic. I loved the fact that Mina knew about the history of the restaurant and was able to answer my questions (my sister had her rehearsal dinner here when it was the Schnitzel Haus). It's awesome they've kept some of the history, and added some twists. So happy. Thanks for making our celebratory night special. Such an awesome concept. The fact that the exterior still has the old name really makes this place feel like a secret. We'll be back
All I can say is OMG. THIS food is the real thing. I have eaten at other ersatz ASIAN CUISINE but this place SLAM DUNKS the other ones. Do you want to eat CUISINE or eat mediocre ho hum food. My Chinese grandson visiting didn’t want to go but in the end I COULDNT drag him away. The staff is wonderful and dedicated. A +
Really cool concept that blends traditional Chinese flavors with a modern approach and premium ingredients. We loved everything from the atmosphere to the elevated takes on classic dishes. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The crab rangoons were to die for, and the duck buns were outstanding. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu.
Double Luck has excellent food along with friendly, attentive service. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for delicious Chinese food that rises above the typical. Parking lot is right next to the restaurant, and there is bar seating and outdoor seating as well.
Made res for 5:30 on a Saturday for 2. Parking in rear. Itnis such a cool atmosphere! All blank walls and ceiling, red paper lanterns. Small and cozy with a cool feel. Varid menu with options but not too many. The music is a mix of 80s in english and foreign (we were guessing what the song is). Great service - very attentive.
Enjoyed their brunch and loved everything about it! All the servers were super friendly and cool and were very knowledgeable about everything this wonderful spot has to offer. We had the asparagus and biscuits as an appetizer and split the veal schnitzel as our main course. All our food was super fresh and exquisite. The drinks were awesome too. Their Irish coffee is without a doubt the best I’ve ever had in Miami. Looking forward to coming back here asap for their happy hour and dinner. Cheers and thank you New Schnitzel House (that’s where the old Schnitzel House used to be).
We went to Tam Tam recently and OMG we loved the experience, and we love any type of Asian food and we knew we had to try the Double Luck Chinese pop-up (from the same family of restaurants/owner as Tam Tam). We made a reservation via Resy a few days before the weekend and didn't have any issue getting our desired date and time. We parked behind the Double Luck restaurant, where they have a big open parking lot for the restaurant with free parking. We arrived at our reservation time and were greeted warmly by restaurant staff and were shown to our table. We were then greeted a few minutes later by our server and were provided our menu and she came by a few minutes later to answer any questions we had. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (they started around $60 per bottle) and they had a good variety. For food, we ordered the following: -Char Siu Ribs ($18) - OMG so amazing and flavorful! -Long Beans ($13) - very fresh and large portion -Crab Fried Rice ($24) - large portion and very fresh and flavorful! -Hennessy Orange Chicken ($25) - an ABSOLUTE MUST! Amazing presentation and one of the most unique Chinese dishes I've ever had! -Tea Smoked Duck Buns ($65) - large portion and the duck was cooked to perfection and something I could have imagined having at a Michelin starred restaurant! -Oolong Tea Panna Cotta ($15) - very light and fresh, and presentation was exquisite! From the time we arrived to departing, everything was done to perfection - service was amazing and so was the food! We can't wait to come back and recommend it to anyone in Miami that enjoys Chinese food!
I love this place! My husband have been 3 times and ordered take out once in the past year, and we normally don't repeat restaurants that often. Every time I have gone the dishes have been consistently executed, innovative and flavorful. The portion sizes are generous and good for sharing or taking home leftovers. It's very easy to over order though, so keep that in mind. The floor service is good but a little slow at time. Flowers to the chef and kitchen team!
I did not make a reservation on the weekend (which I highly recommend!) but thankfully I was told I could place an order for takeout. I’ve been seeing DoubleLuck everywhere on my feed and have been curious about it, so I ordered their most popular dishes. The Fried Rice was a great portion and traveled well, but the standout was the Hennessy Orange Chicken! It was delicious.

The noodles were amazing. Very fun atmosphere to have a meal in, well put together concept. All the servers were so friendly and attentive, I was absolutely impressed by the attention to detail. There is a parking lot in the rear so it wasn't a pain to come eat here like so many places are due to parking.

Great vibe and solid food. The crab rangoon was a little too creamy for my taste, but the crab fried rice, Hennessy orange chicken, and braised short rib were all excellent. Service was good, though our server pushed us into ordering more than we needed, one entree with the fried rice would’ve been plenty. Overall, definitely worth checking out, just order wisely.
The decor is nice and the food is decent, but I’m not sure this is a spot worth driving to. During a recent dinner, we tried the crab rangoon, shrimp, long beans, fried eggplant, and duck. Everything tasted good, but nothing stood out. It feels like a solid neighborhood restaurant, but not a destination worth the drive from Brickell or further south. The menu is also on the smaller side, and there’s nothing compelling enough to bring me back soon. I genuinely hope the restaurant does well, but I likely won’t return anytime soon.

New Schnitzel house does their Schnitzels the right way. Crunchy, Tender and Delicious! Did take out and it arrived home still crunchy.
Although the schnitzel was good, this is nothing like the old schnitzel house which WAS decorated as if you were in Germany. The chef WAS German even the waitresses in the old restaurant dressed the part. There are no decorations inside to indicate that this is a German restaurant and even more so in the garden. Nothing was on tap when I was there. Kind of a fake out. Was kind of hoping they would take the name more seriously. Wish them well.
Strong 4 stars....food was solid... nothing bad, great value for price point. No one single dish was AMAZING, but all were good and not disappointing. Unlike others, i dont overuse 5 stars or standing ovations. No T, no shade
The service was amazing. Our server was really nice and attentive, but the food wasn't that great for being an authentic German restaurant. We definitely had better Schnitzels before, the drinks were okay, and the place was really dark like a pub, but it was very family oriented, which made it hard to understand the concept, overall service was great, food was average, we will be going back for drinks and appetizers
The food is excellent, no doubt. The schnitzel is the best, for real. Things I did not enjoy (take it as constructive feedback) were their limited German beer options, not to mention they were pretty much out of stock, so I had to order a Belgian beer instead. In a place named schnitzel house, I was expecting a top variety of German beer. And lastly, though they were very nice overall, one of the younger servers lacked knowledge about the food/beers (frustrating) and talked to us as if we were friends from high school. Overall is good and I recommend it.
Fun place. Great chef and bartender. But, no coffee? The exspresso machine didn't work. Super basic desert, German restaurant without Black Forest cake or strudel. The beer was cold ! Spent over $120 for dinner, only two beers.
Nice location, very impressive host and server. Pork rib, long bean, and mushroom and cucumber appetizers were excellent. Orange chicken was good with table side flames giving it a festive mood. Our rice and noodles tasted well, but were overcooked. Hence the 4 start review. Might have been a one off. Recommend this place, and I'll try it again at one point.
I came to Double Luck because of the hype and tried several of their most popular dishes. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed. The food was greasy and quite bland, lacking depth of flavor. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is casual, but overall the experience didn’t live up to expectations. Not sure I would return.
This is a hard one to review. The venue Is very nice, the reception staff is very nice. We were seated and ordered a bottle of wine . We ordered our food, appetizers, and a few courses. The appetizers came out, and we poured a glass of wine. Ten minutes later, the staff brought everything we ordered out. When we protested, saying we had just started eating the appetizer, they said it's served "family style This was never mentioned earlier. Very dissapointed. We ended up asking them to pack some to go. The table was small for all that and it got cold. I do not enjoy eating a three course dinner with wine in under an hour. It was not too cool. the food was just ok, but the rush pace was not fun.

Don't know where to begin.. So here goes ..The Place Look Nice But !! THERE IS NOTHING GERMAN HERE!! NOT THE DECOR, NOT THE MUSIC & BEST OF ALL NOT REAL GERMAN FOOD !! ITS OCTOBERFEST .. NOTHING HERE TO SAY PROST TOO.. LET'S SAY WENT HOME HUNGRY .. SO DISAPPOINTED!!! THE STAFF WAS GREAT !! THE PLACE LOOKS REALLY NICE .. BUT NO GERMAN FEEL 😭😭😭
I'm a Chinese-American that grew up in Miami, so I was pretty excited to try this place. It didn't meet up to my expectations. To be frank, it was very average. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with Chinese lanterns, but the food and service was mediocre. Honestly, all the dishes we tried were just "meh." We were waiting for one thing to really stand out and blow us away, but it was all very underwhelming. It wasn't bad, just not amazing, especially for the price you pay. The food is too expensive. The tea-braised duck was really dry and hard, and the eggplant tempura was undercooked. The coconut rice pudding was bland. Our waiter was also not the best. He only gave us two water options, sparkling or still. We thought still water just meant tap water, until we saw an $8.00 charge for bottled still water on our bill. We overheard another waiter offer their table three water options: "sparkling, still, or regular water." Our waiter purposely left out a regular water option, so we got tricked into paying for expensive water. Another thing, is that when we were telling him our order, he kept pressuring us to order more things off the menu. For example "Are you sure you don't want anything else? What about the long beans? What if you tried this? Are you sure that's all you want?" Then we asked if we could add stuff later and he replied, "You have to order everything now because we need to put in the entire order at once." This fine, especially it's a rule. I just didn't like how the waiter kept pushing us to order more. I know a bigger bill = a bigger tip, but as a waiter, your first priority should be the comfort of your guests, not your tip. The food was okay. The music and decorations were really cool. Overall, overpriced and underwhelming. You could definitely find better Chinese food in South Florida. I like the concept, but this place just isn't worth it imo.
Very lovely atmosphere perfect for a first date Nice bar to hang at. The food was extremely spicy The waitress was very sweet and attentive She didn’t really explain how spicy EVERYTHING was It burnt for 2 days .
Food was average. Schnitzel was too thick in my opinion, the pork itself was over half an inch thick. Not like what you get in Germany or Austria! The Cobb salad came late at the very end of our meal and was drowning in dressing, maybe had 2 bites. Kielbasa was decent and honestly all the pickled sides are what made it. Pretzel was fine, the beer cheese was ehhh. I suppose if you really have a hankering, this place might cure that, but otherwise not particularly remarkable. Expected more based on the reviews. We sat outside and server was friendly enough. Although he didn’t care to ask why the salad was untouched…
Good atmosphere but didn't find the food that exciting. The Nouveau-Chinese decor was artsy and entertaining. Nice touch in the bathroom with old Chinese movie video playing, Chinese newspapers and Chinese albums on wall. The dark atmosphere creates a sense of intimacy and enhances flambe dish presentation. The welcome host didn't seem to be a happy person and gave off a Soup Nazi vibe. The bartender was quite the opposite. He was cheerful and happy to explain everything he knew about the restaurant. On the food side, portions served seemed designed for two-person sharing, unless very hungry. I ordered the Cloud Ear Mushroom appetizer with the much reviewed Hennessy Orange Chicken for a main. The Mushroom appetizer had a zesty and light spice taste but without something to accompany the thinly sliced mushrooms, flavor becomes one-dimensional and monotonous after a few bites. The single taste needs to be balanced by a complementary or contrasting flavor. The Hennessy Chicken is served flambe and good for a photo op. The Chicken batter/breading has a perfect, crispy texture with the chicken meat being tender and juicy. The sauce texture was light and mixed well with the battered chicken, Sauce flavor was slightly sweet but they missed any flavor notes of orange or Hennessey. Overall, Double Luck is an interesting place to visit - once, as I didn't see anything extraordinary about the restaurant. I don't see myself recommending the plates I had as anything unique or innovative. The atmosphere and decor was mentionable and the food was fine, but forgettable.

Yuck! You’re better off at your local, reasonably priced Chinese restaurant. Noodles left a flour aftertaste, eggplant had too much breading and was bland, and the chicken breading was soggy- not crispy. Overpriced and bad.
To be honest, the food is a literal “meh” nothing special, nothing to hype. Service was good, really nice personal and nice atmosphere. But at the end of the day it’s a restaurant and we go for the food, not worth coming back or get dessert.
I was not "impressed, "surprised, "SHOCKED," LET'S START: NOT "IMPRESSED" For there was nothing that made it fill like you're in a German Guest house. The music?? "SHOCKED". There was no Gluhwein. Glow wine for english. Or any variety of Beers "REALY"!!!! Now I'm "SHOCKED". Lets start. Memories of Edelweiss on Biscayne Blvd., Mng. by Alex. True German restaurant true German. Then, the SCHNITZEL House. Also ran by Alex. The decor the varieties of beers 🍻. It was fun to be in little Germany in either Edelweiss or SCHNITZEL House in Miami. I must say. "I DRANK 3 🍻 BEERS. PICKELED PLATE. OK. THE ONE BEER THEY OFFERED, that they HAD. In resume: My parents always told me . If you have nothing to say!. Don't say anything. I made it fun of my time there. Last time there.!!!
Great service, insipid food. My friends and I were very excited to try this place because we’ve been hearing about it for months. It’s a very stylish room with great hospitality and service, but unfortunately the food is really not good. We had a mix of about 10 appetizers and main dishes amongst us and not a single one was a stand out. They were almost uniformly, oily and dull. Even the Bronzino with Ginger and peppers was somehow still dull. All of us have had the good fortune to enjoy lots of great Chinese food in our lives and we all agreed that this was a disappointment. Bummer because there really isn’t a lot of Chinese food In Miami. I’ll be going back to Tanka, which serves up vibrant and flavorful Chinese food.

0 stars for customer services! I wanted to order for pick up. But the arrogant waiter Yasmin?? said that they aren’t like a pizza place so they don’t do pick ups. Rediculous! Last Saturday I was there that place was mostly empty and the waiters were standing around doing nothing. Owner is losing money for not accepting pick ups.
When we ordered 3 things for the table of 2 people, the waitress told us to order more because it wouldn’t be enough food. She told us after we place our order, we wouldn’t be able to add any entrees to the order - only appetizers. So we were pressured into ordering more food. We ordered the duck buns. It ended up being way too much food and we couldn’t finish. We ate one piece of duck and took the rest home. They packed it for us and when I got home and looked, there was no duck. Basically ordered the most expensive thing on menu due to pressure from the waitress and then she didn’t pack it for us for god knows what reason.
